Seems like Bitmain pulled L3+ after todays bloodbath

They're sold out now

Didn't take long.  I'd have a better chance getting into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory

AT 38 buck LTC they are gonna be sold out ..till by 'happenstance' (wink, wink) LTC creeps back up to about $45 bucks imho

though I suspect in the mean time we will see a mess of hashnet at above 2k price.

predictable they are

True. Additionally, everyone is going into lockdown mode with BTC with all of the fear over a split. I'd be curious to see if the number of BTC spend transactions in general have decreased over the recent weeks.

743  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cheapest L3+ , S9 & Baikal Miners Available to Ship from Stock - MinersNow JULY on: July 14, 2017, 11:24:20 PM
Well, time for an update and it's not a good one. You guys were right. I placed an order last Sunday June 9th and still haven't received a shipping notice. Tried contacting the company and they said to just wait. Website says the order ships each week, but it's not looking like that. I'd advise everyone to be careful. It seemed too good to be true, and it was.

Thanks for the replies all. My learning curve is pretty shallow  Tongue

Well, I just placed an order. Hold my breath and cross my fingers. We'll see what happens, but I'll keep you guys posted on here.
746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Basic noob question about hashrate % among top pools on: July 09, 2017, 06:30:29 PM
So it seems like the top 5 pools control over 50% of the hashrate:

https://blockchain.info/pools

What's to stop these 5 from getting together and messing with the block chain ledger for their benefit? I understand the miners in these pools are not necessarily controlled, but what if the Top 5 pools changed fees instead of -1% to +1% just for mining with them on a corrupted blockchain? Basically bribing everyone to accept their way?
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone here entered the Adex ICO? on: July 01, 2017, 12:04:13 AM
I wanted to get in on this, but the ban against US citizens has turned me away. I know, I know, anonymous untraceable etc etc, but not worth my risk.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does the altcoin market need to increase its trustworthiness and marketcap? on: June 27, 2017, 10:55:40 PM
we need less coins, more functioning practical applications - things the consumer can use.

^^^This

And maybe some sort of trusted ICO ratings agency who does the deep dive into whitepapers, contacts devs, and gives a thumbs up/down for those who truly care about quality ICO projects. The scammers and pump/dump will continue, but be limited to those who are reckless with their investments.
