If I understood correctly, the files are encrypted and no, Sia has noway to control what is uploaded. Everything is kept secret and nobody can open and read your files. But maybe I'm wrong ? |

Change thread title from [PRE-ANN] to [ANN] immediately. Ninja launches aren't fair and will hurt the price of the coin.  Most people probably don't pay attention anymore to these type of project anyway. But there are still these guys trying to make a quick buck with an instamine  They will never disappear -.- if there was such an opportunity to earn, why not You know what the word "earn" means? Even if it might mean different things, I have quite a clear picture in my head of what that word should represent. Scamming people isn't "earning" money, it's stealing money. I'm new into this whole scene and I was wondering... Is Sia can be bought ? What would happen if Google, Microsoft or Amazon buy it and maintain the service, linking it exclusively to their services ? Is it possible ?
Google, Microsoft or Amazon can buy it if Sia is successful, till now the reason of popularity is just speculation i dont see anyone using the hosting in sia network. Google, Microsoft or Amazon don't spend a penny on projects that are just based on speculation . That's true but there is like, 0 communication on SIA. I talked about it to some people I know who might need secure cloud storage for work and they're all interested in it. There is a few things that stop them to step in : - They're not familiar with the technology. They're used to a drag'n drop through web interface or shared folder in Windows / OSX. The whole you need Siacoin is still mysterious for a lot of people. - They know nothing about centralized/decentralized storage. And even if they know a few... they know nothing. - They have to buy Siacoins for using it. And I know it's easy, but I also know everyone isn't used to do such things. A lot of people who would use this product aren't familiar both with the tech and the whole crpyto world. - They never heard about SIA ! This thing need to be putted in front of people who have already the need for such product. You can have the best product in the world, if nobody know about it, it'll stay in the shadow forever. So there you have it. As I said before. The devs failed miserably. If it was such a great coin then price would be in the thousands sats and not below 200. Like I mentioned before, charts never lie  Now back to LTC and other coins where there is at least some positive communication regularly from the devs. God luck to the bagholders. I never said our thought that and I don't understand why you're so hateful. Are you paid by somebody to ruin the thread ? |
