there's a good idea too. This thread has spawned several good ideas today. You could try posting something in Meta, but i don't think you'll get much of a response.

I bet people would be alot nicer on here too if they had to post as their real name.
This coming from a guy who has MANY aliases posting on this forum and likely in this very thread. Like I told you in our conversation, you're doing more harm to this fight than good. Nobody wants to join in a battle with someone they don't trust to not shoot them in the back. you're really digging at this point koontas. why don't you pm the mods and ask them how many "sockpuppets" i'm using. you really are a sad troll, i feel sorry for you. i have aliases, doesn't mean i ever post with them. not really. extortion h4xx0r ghostintheshellprompt WikiLeaksLover you can see they rarely post, if ever. cept extortion. i pull that one out for a good bit of trolling every once in a while.

did a lil more work on opensourcecoin.org today
one day next week i'll set aside a time to really make the website pop, and add more useful information. eventually i plan to build a fully featured block explorer for OSC, something like blockchain.info
try to bear in mind i'm busy most of the time with OpenEx, but i still will not neglect OSC.

Another thought,
probably the only way to end scamming is for individuals to have to use real names on the forum and other venues associated with the crypto community. That and a way require verifiable ID to process transactions.
That's the only way to really shine the light of day on who is doing what.
A good start would be to permaban users of sockpuppet accounts when discovered on this forum. Everyone who uses them is acting under false pretenses. That is the only verifiable fraud I've personally witnessed in regard to altcoins.
Just some food for thought.
+1. i think thats a great idea. better than my idea of attacking coins, and it destroys no ones investments. win win. I think it may be a possible solution to the issue of fraud, which is very real. We can certainly all agree on that. I bet people would be alot nicer on here too if they had to post as their real name. I have done and always will use my real name as hiding behind a fake name is not the best way to do thing if you have nothing to hide My handle is my real name as well Hacker/Scammer can still fake/steal identity, it would not even make a difference to this scam game The developers that exceed this technical hurdle is going to write their own ticket. Not just in cryptos, but on the internet in general and in real word applications. Verifiable ID is the best vector to attack the issues of security and trustlessness. Consider, Verifiable ID is really the only way a truly trustless system can be possible. Everyone needs to be able to trust the technical solution is unbeatable, or so difficult to defeat it is not worth it, and not have to trust the other individual in the transaction. Cryptography is the only human discipline I know that can resolve this issue, and it is much larger than just currency alone. It could solve the riddle of a decentralized social order once and for all. dude, keep the thoughts coming! you're on a roll man!

Once media attention gets out, people will come to claim them. In Iceland a big % of population found out about Aurora.
source to back up this claim? It was discussed at governmental level, dozens of articles in the local press and media outlets. Plenty of articles in the international press also. When you get this kind of coverage, people become aware. Just look at Neo&bee - after they've done a successful media campaign, almost everyone in Cyprus heard about Bitcoin, while not many knew about it previously. New Mad Bitcoin video on Aurora https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIxCOS5lKB0#t=15you are icelandic?

r3wt has yet to show ANY proof whatsoever that there was a theft. He claims 34 BTC were taken. So, where are the transactions in the blockchain? Not some internal accounting, not a copy+paste on pastebin, actual verifiable transactions. If there was a theft, there are transactions. Period.
there wasn't a theft of 34 btc, nor did i ever claim it. just a 34 btc discrepancy. fuck off.

r3wt, STOP the distractions, one-liners and personal attacks and PROVE you are credible to pay what you owe, and that you are genuinely interested to stop scammers and do not have a personal agenda.
i've already proven it. you're just digging.

isn't that cute. like i said you have my email
Are You talking to me? So answer my question... when we will have our bitcoin back? Why are playing around and not working to pay back to all people? In holidays with our coins? edit: obviously i was talking to you. how bout you go read the openex thread before you start throwing accusations. you clearly aren't aware of whats going on. i'll even post a link for you https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=508674.0i've been working very hard on the situation. you're either spreading fud or have a hard time keeping up with the thread because of all the coin spam on this forum. i'll try not to assume anything about you personally. all i ask is the same respect in return. I didn't take a single dime of my customers money. fact. there are people who want you to believe i did. your choice. You had our coins. You sad they are stolen, that you will call the police (in my country we can prove that with a police complaint report). You told us you will work hard to reopen and pay us. Is this your work? Trying to close all the coins you traded in your site? I don't respect you. You are a useless stupid boy playing as adult with money from others. Fact is you are unable to keep a site open. Do you think that if you close those coins you traded you don't have to pay them? Is that your scheme? Put police report online. Open site back to make money to pay us. Dont kill coin you must pay. maybe you should post it in the right thread if you want to discuss openex. Maybe you should be working to pay us back. Why are you available to play while you have so much of coins in debt? Do you care about me and others? Are trying to forbid coins you must pay? Why you are not working to put site back and pay? We want our money bak!!! last time i checked you could login and withdraw all your coins. what do you think i'm doing right now genius. i'm coding a new exchange. the debt repayment program is in place. looks like your argument is founded on bullshit entirely.
