@harlan
i Agree with you.
But winnway had a different approach from what you suggest :
- He came here, probably without even reading the guide/tips & tricks section and asks for "universal parameter"/"always working parameter", nothing related to your specific example.
- My answer about your poing 1-2-3 is : yes i can give you example, but you must consider that CAT have so lot parameters that possible combination are exponential, this is why i prefer to give direct support via PM : because any customer have his needs.
The fact that few people write here about support is because they directly write me via PM, and i think my support is good, usually responses are immediate, about suggestions and troubleshootings.
90% of settings users are not used, just because those such of settings don't need in 99% time of trading.
Correct is "90% of settings are not used BY ME". That could be ok, but any CAT parameter is born from user request.
I can count a lot of different strategies from my customers. I can ensure you that 100% of CAT parameters are used.
And the most important aspect about my project :
I'm an only one person, i'm not a team, i'm not a software house.
I have my private life but despite of that i'm usually sleeping less than 4 hours/day to continue gives support/code new features.
I must choose how to use my "Cat-Time".
- More than 95% Of CAT active customers are asking me for improvements/new features.
- Near 100% of customers directly PM me when they need some suggestions. Suggestions like "I need to do ...... How can i do it?"/"It is possible to....."
I could start writing guide about any CAT parameter combination, but results will be
- I will quit coding
- I will write an enormous guide and result will be pm like "I Read your guide but can you explain me that thing......"/"Guide is too big, i just need to know how to......"
Yes i agree that it would be very good to have
- A CAT site
- A CAT Forum
- A Developing Team
- A Support Center
- A Guide Center
BUT, this is not possible, so actually you have 1 Person who's coding this program since 2013 without stopping and trying to give the best support as possible and the best product as possible.
Hope you appreciate my effort.
