741  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: You are a *fucking dumbass* if you use Instawallets, PERIOD. on: April 03, 2013, 12:12:47 PM
Stored 0.8 BTC in Instawallet. Intended to store them there for maximum of 2 weeks until I upgrade and reinstall my computer because of failing hard drive. It was not a big deal back then 0.8BTC was probably about 5 EUR. The computer failed completely and I could not buy replacement. Ended up storing the coins on Instawallet for almost 6 months. Now they probably are gone.

I love instawallet for receiving small transactions that when stored in Bitcoin-Qt will end up with large tx fee. Instawallet is excellent for mixing coins and for merging them without fees.

Instawallet owners are not anonymous. If they run away with coins like MyBitcoin did someone will find them and sodomize.
742  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens if a part of the network is isolated and then rejoins? on: April 02, 2013, 09:18:06 PM
It is possible. When networks are joined together, the longest chain wins and transactions in shorter chain are reverted to 0/unconfirmed and will never confirm. Until then double spend on each network side is possible.

But if even single node talks to both networks, the network split will not happen.
743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming network event: block v2 lock-in on: April 02, 2013, 09:05:03 PM
so do user have to upgrade the client?

if so what about the alternative clients?

According to https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/BIP_0034#Backward_compatibility it is backwards compatible. Only miners are required to upgrade.

1)bulletproof server costs more than $300.
I don't see necessity for bulletproof server. For Pool? For C&C? Both can run on either VPS or .onion.

I fail to see how mining on a bot net will kill LTC.
Mining will not kill. 51% will kill.
Quote
as soon as the users notice their crappy, slow computers are being even crappier, slower they will do something about it (you/botherder will lose bots)
I tell about 30 to 40% might notice slowdown and do something about it. Remaining 60% are so dumb that nothing will make them think about something being wrong. Including constantly opening/closing DVD tray. Still the possibility to lose 30% of bots is idea many bot herders don't welcome.
Quote
botnet machines are, for obvious reasons usually much lower-spec hardware. cpu or gpu.
Because only stupid people buy low-end computers. And only stupid people are part of botnet.
Quote
Still the most vulnerable OS is that good old XP, and who is running XP on any decent hardware these days, come on
XP have more security flaws but the reason is that XP distribution is much easier to modify to include rootkit and distribute. And XP also runs everything as admin vs Win7 who needs to launch with elevated privileges for malware to survive reboots.
745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help quick! Dual 7970s on: April 02, 2013, 01:05:23 AM
Okay, which number is the correct one?

Is GPU 0 my first 7970, and GPU 1 is my second 7970?
Probably Yes. You know, computers like to start counting from zero, so 0 is first card and 1 is second card. If You are confused about two speed indications for each card then know that one is current speed and another is average speed over time.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to kill LTC for dummies on: April 02, 2013, 12:48:36 AM
Most bots I see are Core 2 Duos or Celerons within corporate sector. Surprisingly many PhenomII CPUs, probably owned by gamers looking for crack. Slowest CPU - 700MHz Pentium3 and fastest FX-8130. Core i5 are very rare and not nowhere near 1000 units and even then most of i5 are mobile units in new laptops.

Constant CPU mining will damage botnet. Bots will start to disappear at greater rate because users might notice the constant 100% load. Might pull off 51% with extremely large botnet but with difficulty as it is now I don't know. I have no idea about hashing power required for this.

The whole idea is not so novel. There are people doing this and some have switched between BTC and LTC mining due to price and difficulty fluctuations.
747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help quick! Dual 7970s on: April 02, 2013, 12:30:34 AM
They mean speed. If not satisfied try to test various settings in mining software and then overclock the cards. Watch for temperature and stability.
748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Broken PCI-E Edge connector!! on: April 02, 2013, 12:26:50 AM
It will work. My DFI UT P45-T3RS had only half of pins populated in 2nd full-size PCI-E slot. This means even if not broken will never make contact if card is inserted in that slot.
749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best single graphics card on: April 02, 2013, 12:19:38 AM
HD5970 HD6990 and upcoming HD7990 are dual GPU cards. It means there are two GPU chips on single card. If run from single x1 PCI-E link they will actually be like two cards running on half-link each. I'm not sure how much this will affect the performance.

HD5970 are very rare card now. HD6990 are probably more powerful than HD7970 but takes more electricity. HD7990 non-reference designs are available from few manufacturers in extremely limited availability.

For mining it will make sense to buy second-hand motherboard with two or three full-size PCI-E slots, install best GPU card You can get, add cheapest CPU for that socket, get cheap used 1 or 2GB ram and cheapest HDD You can get that can hold the operating system. Get powerful and efficient power supply that can feed the cards. Mining with laptop is not convenient. It will not be portable and will need constant external power for GPU card. Hope this helps.

Defensive force is another matter entirely.
First gay pride was not met with actively violent protestors. Protestors were peacefully sitting in front of church to block gayfags from entering church and spoiling it. Protesters, including women were forcefully removed by riot police. Next and subsequent years gays were met with much more stronger opposition...

Balts were slavicized ages ago. Check the damn language. Duh.
Your nation was pwned for thousands of years. Fact.
During WW2 the idiots thought that killing poles and jews was good for business. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponary_massacre
Now, they're just nothing. Who would remember a lithuanian or a latvian today?

Too bad soviets didnt ship them to Siberia like Chechens.
These are false facts invented by NKVD officers under Stalin and Beria.

Balts are not slavicized even now. Baltic language group are distinct group. Completely distinct language group than neighboring Slavic language group.

Latvians kicked out both Germans and Russians from Latvia in WW1. Further read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latvian_War_of_Independence

During WW2 in year 1940 we were occupied by Soviet Union. About 35 000 were murdered or forcibly relocated by jewish NKVD officers for behalf of russian colonists. It all ended in 1941 when German army forced Russian army to retreat. Some people who's relatives were murdered or taken away by soviets were quick to volunteer into police brigades. But they were not participating in repressions against jews mainly because german "special units" did not trust latvians with this task. We still are something. Time and our actions will prove it!

And You are russian imperialist who want to kill every neighboring nation just to expand the russian land. And You are butthurt about the fact that they are fighting back - Latvians, Finns, Chechens, even slavic Ukrainians. Every neighboring nation hate Russians.
do you consider yourself a minority?
Relatively certain he views himself - mistakenly - among the majority.

He may be a hetero Caucasian male, but his view plant him squarely in the minority.
You are wrong Myrkul. You probably will not believe but my views are not in minority.

Bin Laden was not decentralized. Bitcoin is.

In fact, Bin Laden was part of a very decentralized terrorist network. That's why it took 10 years to kill the bitch. Unfortunately, Bin Laden is dead, but his network is not.

Of course it isn't, and there's no reason for them to shutter it, when it's doing such a good job of scaring the American populace.

I know that Al-Qaeda does not exist as we are told. It is invention by USA aggressors modeled after mix of Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah and Al-Aqsa Martyrs brigades. Mr. Bin Laden was old man, not much more than Islamic and anti-American publicist using his image to spread the message. His best days of action was back in Soviet invasion in Afghanistan as USA-backed resistance member.

The Al-Qaeda is next best invention after Mickey Mouse. It is great excuse to do anything anywhere in world, including but not limited to overthrowing legitimate sovereign governments, torturing prisoners, killing civilians and creating mass surveillance. Damn I hate USA government and sheeple who support them!

I have not any homosexual desires. I'm talking about extremely small minority who fuck in different ways forcing the majority of society to accept them as valid way of life. I'm not talking of everyone turning into a fag. Can You see the difference?
They're not forcing anything. If anyone is using force here, it's you.
Laws protecting homosexuals from rightful discrimination and riot police protecting gay pride are not force? Homosexuals are manipulating society just to get accepted. It is either some conspiracy or just unrealized self-importance to be accepted. Either way they first started to disturb order. Before them kikes and russians were the problem, now they are joined by perverts.

1. I'm not Lithuanian and don't live in Lithuania.
2. I'm not neofascist. I'm traditional national-socialist. There are a lot of differences.
3. Lithuanians haven't Slavic ancestry. Lithuanians together with Latvians are last two living Baltic nations with unique history.
4. Movie made by anti-fascists about fascists are just as objective as movie about americans made by North Koreans. I suspect it is not worth watching as it very likely contains more falsified information than PirateAt40 advertisements.
5. Slavic Union are white power neonazi group that are hostile to sovereignty of nations in former USSR. I have been in contact with them, I know their attitude.

Nazism is nothing to do with being anti-homosexual. It is like saying all Bitcoin supporters are Libertarians. It is stereotype. Very few people are openly nazistic. Majority don't call them nazis or even don't support many policies of nazism. But they still have the same opinion on homosexuality.

So the people who say that division with zero are impossible all are mathematicians?

So the Eastern European bigot is saying he wished Hitler would have won, I'm guessing thinking he would have had a place in the new Aryan world order.
I would have place there, yes! My nation in 1941 was saved from deportations and genocide by advancing German army. Hitler's army. Also Germany had best economy and fairest organization of society than any other nation participating in WW2. Facts speak for themselves.

It was done in the past, but not by the forum staff. Using unpredictable and random thing as a deciding number such as hash of first block created after last ticket is purchased to determine lucky number.
756  Other / Off-topic / Re: Evil plans unveiled. Bitcoin is in dangеr!!! on: April 01, 2013, 12:36:40 AM

If I was the most powerful government in the world, I would build a cluster of ASICs which outnumbers the biggest mining pool, and start mining, and start buying coins until I have 2/3 of all coins in my possession. This should not be too expensive for government which collects taxes worth of $3 trillion each year, right?  And after I have all these coins, I would convert the rest of the world into slave colony, MWAHAHAHA!!!!

Don't you just love megalomania?

They already spent trillions to bomb cavemen in Afghanistan just to show who is the boss.

Bin Laden was not decentralized. Bitcoin is.

Fact: fastest rising HIV-positive population: Heterosexual women. It's an anatomy thing.
It is true now. 15 to 20 years ago AIDS were almost exclusive to homosexuals, junkies and prisoners. Monogamic couples were largely safe.
Quote
fun fact: the human race no longer needs males (or hetero sex) to reproduce. There's more than enough stored sperm in the world's sperm banks to keep the population going indefinitely, and, of course, gay men can provide samples with just the same ease as straight ones can.
And living in a world where kids are not result of parents love? It is probably worse than Orwellian society. You demonstrate how fucked up worldview and values homosexuals have.
Quote
I have yet to see one societal harm done by homosexuals. In fact, in my experience, they've been a great benefit to any community which they moved into. Two incomes, no kids, means a lot of expendable resources. Not only are they a boon to the economy, but they frequently renovate businesses, homes, sometimes entire neighborhoods. They're anything but a "harm" to society.
No, it is completely false. Homosexuals cannot put brick on brick to renovate something, straight man are builders. Homosexuals usually work as barbers or stylists and such professions. And traditional families are the most beneficial to society. Fags without kids means less people in future, meaning declining workforce for nation. Not economically beneficial at all.
Quote
Wait, let me get this straight. You're afraid that if gays are accepted, they'll turn everyone gay? Or is it just you you're afraid they'll turn? I don't know about you, but I'm not in fear of being turned gay, and as I said, I've lived in the 3rd gayest city in the US. I've know a LOT of gays over the years. Never been tempted to take a ride on the disco stick. I'm secure in my masculinity, and my heterosexuality.
Learn to read and understand what I'm telling. I'm not afraid about me turning gay, it cannot happen. I'm afraid that if homosexuality will become accepted as normal, other perversions and deviations will become too. Zoophilia, necrophilia, sadomasochism, baby fucking, cannibalism. And the dissolution of traditional family is real possibility as a result. When kids are made from frozen sperm and raised in fag communities. And this will be only the beginning.

51% attack will happen offline and then attackers will publish the longer chain thus disrupting network. Banning IP addresses will not help in relaying P2P network.

Nobody has ever died simply from being gay.
Not true. AIDS was initially spread by homosexuals and shooting junkies. Homosexuality have various risk factors that normal couples don't have.
Quote
What would you do if being gay were the norm, and your heterosexuality were seen the same way you see their homosexuality?
Then human species would not exist. Very few species of animals show homosexual behavior because only few species had not encountered natural selection against it.
Quote
Serial killers are not normal because they harm people. Homosexuals are perfectly normal people who have different sexual tastes than you do.
No, homosexuals harm entire society by playing by different rules. Think about cancer nodes in Bitcoin network. The network must ban the minority of misbehaving nodes or entire network will succumb to these new gay rules. The same with homosexuals in society.
