741  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Holy crap I found a block! on: June 08, 2014, 02:35:47 AM
Dear fellow miners,

That in and of itself is not a big deal.  What is rather cool however, is that I'm mining with a single Block Erupter that I bought on eBay for $300.  My hash rate hovers around 38 Gh/s.  That means of the current Total Hash Rate of 55,000 TH/s or so, I represent a scant 0.069091%.  I didn't just find a block, I crushed it with a share value of 15.6G.  Was I solo mining?  Hell no.  I'm contributing a minuscule amount of work to the Eligius pool.  Nevertheless, there is my block.  Height 298,562. See? Lightning can and does strike.  If any of you feel bad about the fact that earned +0.00016263 BTC instead of 25 BTC for my efforts, my address is 19cK8nHieqXxZbWoYFSdSgm2Q3Cb5CEPN6  Donations welcome!!

Happy Mining!,
Tony
Your on my good list.  U get 50 btc

743  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst captcha on: June 08, 2014, 01:00:18 AM
the worst captcha is that one in which you have to put an image in a properly position

What's so bad about that? I think that they are one of the best, unless it is a jigsaw type one, those can be a little too time consuming.

umm the worst kind of s### done is what SIlk Road does, and not accept captchas halve the time

746  Other / Off-topic / Re: House prices on: June 08, 2014, 12:24:27 AM
I have been looking to rent a house in Hampshire, but seriously it's really difficult to find a house for rent that is affordable unless you want to share the house with like at least 5 others.

It's pretty sick that as a member of the European Union it's nearly impossable to even afford to rent (not even own, rent) a home with a moderate wage. Not even a big home either, just a crappy 1 bed 1 bath type of home is already terribly expensive.

All this is the result of inflation.

Anyway if anyone has some tips on rental homes in Hampshire I'd like to hear. I prefer a house where I can live on my own, Altough I could also settle for a home together with one friend (seperate rooms).

have u *tried* living out of a $938 sq ft studio apartment.Huh  i mean it is expensive i hear, but great rooms, and great visits.  (or so i've been told).. :)D

748  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Song are you Listening To? on: June 07, 2014, 11:55:00 PM
Rihanna - Diamonds

Just one funny quote I remember about this song:

"Rihanna ..Diamonds don't SHINE! It reflect the light"

Rihanna:
"Reflect light like a diamond...
Reflect light like a diamond...Reflect light like a diamond..."

Thats funny lol.

I was listening to this song then I read your thing.

755  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why arent you running a full node? on: June 07, 2014, 11:06:14 PM
The bitcoin network needs more full nodes. If you own a computer, and arent running a full node, Id like to hear why.

Its no secret that most people who are mining are simply submitting shares to pools, and dont actually run the full Bitcoin software (this goes for alts as well).

This declining node trend decreases the security and reliability of the Bitcoin network.

More nodes means more security. Download it here:

well it's no secret that my gridseed miners are pieces of crap and need to be plugged in and out each f*cking time i mine.

Cannabis contains many chemicals..

not if you flush properly

I mean natural cannabinoids.  I'd rather have one on one time with one compound than dozens or hundreds of cannabinoids.

Weed should be grown organic.

what is Weed for anyway?  migraine headaches?  cause i take Aspirin(R) for that and it works great..

760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Holy Grail! I wish I could kiss the author of Bitmessage on his face. on: June 07, 2014, 09:13:18 PM
BitMessage is anonymous but NOT secure. Add a layer of crypto to your messages and you may have a chance.

It's just starting level of tech that can be improved upon by others. If i understand it correctly, it's wonderful thing that can go really long way in the future and opens up bunch of possibilities.

if you crypto all your messages it defeats the whole concept of immortality.  see.  if you encrypt the word of G-d.  things get funny.  like people going to jails for weed.. Sad
