I thought this was escrow 101 - always make sure any collateral is 100% "in hand" before confirming that it is safe to send Bitcoin (when it comes to loans).
This is one reason I would never considering offering escrow services. If one party scams you then you are held responsible.
He had the collateral in hand, he made a mistake in not changing the email. No harm done, nobody else got scammed except that redsn0w has to suffer some headache. Why did the person who took the loan even take back the account himself ? It is obvious that without repayment, he will get a negative trust and would never get a loan again . |

What can get Bitcoin back up? Everyone I tell about that has "heard" of Bitcoin is scared to get back in, they think it is crashing so they don't want to invest any of their own money. What needs to happen is the current Bitcoiners need to get the price back up
THe small amounts by adoption would sum up to big. Also, back in 2011-12, a drop had happened, where the prices crashed from 230$ to 80$, I am sure people didn't think of the drop before running it upto 1300 next year. |

The problem with this script, is that a lot of other sites use this, and people related the UI to scam sites,
and I haven't seen many people actually using it to gamble.

Theres a lot of ways you can earn bitcoin. You can use a real life skill, and market it for getting paid in bitcoin, or earn FIAT and convert it. You can also use a signature for earning some amount of money. |

Thread title is updated, not really a giveaway we talked about but from now we are giving 100GHS as free trial to any user that registers and want's to get familiar how system works. I was just going through the forum, and came across this thread where someone was selling a Senior account with negative trust. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=896164He also said, that the negative trust had been added after he had bought the account(from a previous scam happened through the account). To which Quickseller suggested: I bought it for .8BTC, then the neg trust was added. Though, the neg trust was not caused by me. I was sort of stuck in the middle, and was ripped off in a sense.
So:
1. I bought the account
2. Shortly after neg trust was added from the previous owners "business"
3. Stuck with a negative trust account
Sort of my fault for not realizing that the owner of the account was conducting shady business on it.

Who did you buy it from? Have you tried messaging the person(s) who gave the account negative trust to let them know of the situation to see if they will remove it? (it was suggested to me that I buy the account and then do the same, however I do not plan on doing so) However, I would advice everyone who give/gave a negative trust to someone, not to remove the negative trust because the account was now sold. Anyone could possibly take advantage of this. The scammer, could set up the scam, create fake messages and transactions before scamming, and then scam. After getting the negative trust, he could contact the person who gave the trust saying that he had bought the account, and show the message log from history, which would be before the scam happened, and if the negative trust was then removed, then the same account could be used for scamming again, or be sold. The scammer could get away, even being a Hero Member(incase the trust was remove). If you happen to be buying an account, then its your responsibility to make sure the account was not involved in any scams, and get the escrow to hold the funds upto 10 days after you bought the account, incase the negative trust comes on it, after you buy it. Again, this is only to be cautious and not allowing scammers an opportunity to get away. It was also not meant to be against Quickseller, I just read the reply, and thought why it won't be a good idea to allow that. Happy new year and Be safe  |

The problem is for daily usage. Like if you want to go out and make some groceries with Bitcoin, most people aren't safe until the confirmations go through.. for some reason they think that when they pay with Credit Cards, it gets automatically confirmed when the same thing happens.
I have never complained about confirmation times, but I see cases when it becomes important. First is what is quoted. Second, when you go to sites which require you to deposit bitcoins, like you have a poker tournament at 11, and you send the funds at 10:30. Now those sites require 2 confirmations to confirm your deposit and allow you to play. In those cases, the over wait becomes a problem. You could always say, then send before, but sometimes it has happened that I saw a tourney in the last half hour, and my deposit didn't go through. |

The only secret to earn lot is by referral but you need to be creative to get huge number of referral
