Why u use claymore for ETH/Nvidia.
Use ethminer, more stable, same performance and no dev fee.

trying to help people Smiley
What can i gain with promoting ethminer? It is free, open source and no dev fee.
maybe you try to promote claymore ha?

Nah, its just that its a bit friendly user and has high hashrate IMHO compared to the link you've provided, so whats the same performance you're talking about here? Cheesy

to the OP, seems your windows defender/firewall blocked the miner, check your settings or exempt this to your OS

Want to be a successful miner? then it is simple, never pay for gpus higher than manufacturer's suggested retail price, use all possible discounts, improvise and never pay for somebody to do something for you, never tell anybody what you do and if somebody knows what you do then don't drag that person on your stupid crusade and never ask for a loan, use your own money.

Wait a minute... did Metroid sell his account?  This doesn't sound like him at all.
Thought the same exact thing Grin Grin Grin

I think not, Lol  Cheesy, he is still in super negate about buying 1k usd for RX580 and credit things Cheesy
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bricked RX 570 on: March 10, 2018, 12:45:05 AM
If you're certain it's bricked and next step is RMA, then try the paper clip trick. Scary, but worked on mine (flashed the wrong bios)...

My card is still under warranty, so I'd rather not try this.

tried this, totally not worked on my reference card, It seems its really dead, already sent to my supplier for warranties and guess what, they don't ask if its modded or not.. Lol Grin
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bricked RX 570 on: March 08, 2018, 03:49:54 PM
Oh yeah, 1+8 method right.  Wink
But may OP card still under warranty, better didn't do physical tweak.

This method used jumper method, connecting a foot IC chip number one and eight. Number one is the one under a small hole in the IC. And number eight is at the opposite end of the number one when we draw a slash of the number one.

one question, Is the jumper should be connected when powering up GPU? I have one dead RX480 reference card and will probably try this out

I wanted to try after years again dwarfpool to see how it performs. Claymore connects and mine ok. But after mining there for about an hour I am still getting on their site error NO ACCOUNT "(no shares or wrong letter used, check lower-/uppercase)" when trying to view my statistics. Using claymore with no worker setup. Can someone explain me, what am I doing wrong? I don't get it. I tried also to mine with all letters to lowercase:
My setup:
-epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0x40E83FF7c08Ae44F0F243Fde22d0A9D59fA6D514 -epsw x
Tried also:
-epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0x40e83ff7c08ae44f0f243fde22d0a9d59fa6d514 -epsw x

Thanks a lot....

check if your eth wallet is correct, try to give a worker name at least

 EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal 0x40E83FF7c08Ae44F0F243Fde22d0A9D59fA6D514/RIGName -epsw x

Sure my wallet is correct. I tried also with worker set up, but still no stats, that's why I tried without a worker later. I contacted them via email, but have no answer.

tried mining with your wallet for 20min and getting shares, however still no account upon checking on the pool.

try ethermine.org

Thanks, thats kind from you, but as you can see, problem must be anywhere on their site. I just wanted to try this pool because they have lowest difficulty so it is good for low count gpu rig like only 2x1060.

There you go, Already appeared Cheesy its just delayed, what it shows is a past 10hr mining  Cheesy

Overclocking too much with 2200 for Stock cards cant handle it, btw whats your PSU rating?

751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie - Trying to get more out of my system on: March 08, 2018, 06:25:05 AM
(originally posted in the wrong forum)

Hello,

So I've taken my gaming rig, a i5-6400, 2x 1080 setup and have used it to make a few dollars here and there where I then take to exchanges to see whatever I can grab with the dips (which seem to be frequent lately).

The motherboard (mATX) I'm using has two pcie 3.0 x1, two pci-e 3.0 x16, one m.2_1, and one m.2_2 (ASUS z270g)

I'd like to expand what the board can do, but since this wasn't built with mining in mind, I'm afraid my options are limited.

I can't really access the pcie x1 slots due to the physical size of the graphics cards covering the slots.  Is there any kind of cable or thin expansion that can allow me to attach something to use these ports?  I think I saw somewhere extensions for the x16 slots, which may work, but I'm not sure.

Heard about Risers?

Also, one of the m.2 slots is also under a graphics card, while the other is under the motherboard itself.  Do extensions or cables exist that might allow me to make use of these slots?

Yes, use this

I can understand if my board simply cannot do it, I'm just looking what effort I can put into it.

I'm willing to explore building some kind of rig to access everything, but not if its just not feasible.  Would rather start from scratch with mining in mind.

Your board is more than enough to handle your existing cards.

this is a good guide for newbies

Is there another solution, because it worked fine before the windows defender update, without this plug Huh Huh Huh
Hello

I have a rig with 4 rx570 GPU, it worked fine, and i handled it with teamviewer, because i havn't a screen plugged on it.

but after a windows bitdefender update, i have a strange problem, my hashrate dropped to 16mh/s, so i reinstalled the drivers.

My problem is:

claymore's doesn't work until i plug my rig to a screen.

any idea please??

regards

Then plug cable into the rig GPU 0
If just a cable does not work (did not work for me) use a dummy plug
https://www.amazon.com/Headless-Display-Emulator-Headless-1920x1080-generation/dp/B06XT1Z9TF

Your windows update messed up with your GPU drivers, try to run DDU and install Adrenalin drivers, ensure that you set it to compute mode. if still not solved I guess you consider rolling back your windows in case you don't want a dummy plug.

753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Adding AMD to Nidvia rig on: March 07, 2018, 02:38:58 AM
Is there anything special that needs to be done? Can I even mix them?

Yes, you could mix them, however I have 1 rig mixed with 1080ti and Rx480 that is pain suffering RX on windows 7 not to perform fully and I coudn't do OC on any tools, its a driver issue for sure, and no time to play with it yet. better is to leave them in separate rigs.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bricked RX 570 on: March 06, 2018, 11:34:32 PM
Seems like not a Bricked issue for me but a dead card.

If its not totally detected by your motherboard bios and your OS then its time to RMA it.

755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help choosing GPU on: March 06, 2018, 02:47:54 PM
Hello guys,

I want to make a rig, so please can you tell me which one these cards will get me fastest ROI. It doesn't matter what altcoin it mines, I am gonna cash out quickly. My electricity costs .08$

- INNO3D GTX 1060 6GB -  424$

- MSI GTX 1060 3GB OC -   351$

- INNO3D GTX 1070 -         585$ - 620$  (price not 100% confirmed)

- ASUS RX 570 4GB ROG STRIX OC - 470$

- SAPPHIRE Pulse RX 570 4GB OC - 478$

- Asus Radeon RX 580 OC Edition 4GB DUAL - 509$

- Asus Radeon RX 580 OC Edition 8GB DUAL - 580$

- ASUS GTX ROG STRIX RX VEGA 56 OC 8GB - 1045$

These are my local retailer's rate. Thanks.

You can only know or check the present profitability with those cards thru online calculators and have an idea when will you gonna ROI

www.whattomine.com

However take note, Its only a present time, no one gonna tell you when will these profits last due to difficulty and coin price variations

Be ready with that risk
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I setup a few GPUs in order to mine? on: March 06, 2018, 06:59:12 AM
I made a little research  and I know I need the GPUs, PCle x16 in order to install the GPUs and then the power source. What I couldn't find was information about how to make all of them work simultaneously.

A little could be not enough, this is the information on how to make them work simultaneously

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1806061.0

Learn from the mining Guru, Almost all regarding GPU mining has been covered. of course it doesn't mean you will copy what they did, you can have your own requirements, like instead of using server PSU a replacement but decent ATX PSU will do.

Happy Reading! Wink
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fault Finding - Dual PSU Rig - Second PSU Turns Off on: March 06, 2018, 04:42:57 AM
Basically it's intermittant where the second PSU would switch off after mining for a little while or days. I switched the PSU's around to see if it was PSU specific however this is not the case. I reinstalled drivers, reinstalled windows and now I'm starting to think it could potentially be one riser or GPU.

I am suspecting a Riser seeing this, do some basic checking, like connections from USB to board PCI-e x1 or Riser x16slot to GPU if properly in place and doesn't have any loose connections. otherwise try to replace them if you have extras but ensure replacements is reliable and solidly working.

What is the best way to find a faulty riser/gpu  or is there anything else which it could potentially be?

basically, you can do swapping/interchange/replacement method.

and really only since that last major W10 update.

What about fixing this? I see somewhat messed up with the AMD driver, Win10 update made a mess, how about Rolling back to previous old version of windows 10? then Install Drivers and disable Win10 update

yeah, i actually have WU turned off but as i understand it, for major updates such as the Fall Creators Update, you can only push it so long.  I kept getting notified and kept pushing out week after week but eventually it didnt give me the option to not install it and just did it on it's own.  If anyone knows of a way around this I would be very happy to hear it :-)

And... i have a monitor plugged into the GPU via HDMI cable on all 4 rigs.

Try this, Kudos to Vann, he was able to update his rigs without affecting his drivers

gpedit ==> Computer Configuration ==> Administrative Templates ==> Windows Components ==> Windows Update and set 'Do not include drivers with Windows Update' to enabled.

It only takes a few minutes to setup a wallet. Have him install coinomi on his phone. Why do a bunch of work to get around a problem that takes under 2 minutes to resolve?
...because he has an iPhone Smiley
I think you can use the coinomi wallet on their website https://coinomi.com/ just click the iPhone icon then you will redirect to ios beta version now you can create an account and use the coinomi wallet.

What coins actually you want to mine maybe I can give you some idea if what wallet would be the best, And could you tell us if what are available devices of your friend?

Thanks... Bah, nevermind. Wanted to set him up on Zergpool or Ahashpool and get autoexchanged to BTC. I reckon it's better indeed for him to setup a proper BTC wallet. Was just wondering if the internal Nicehash wallet would work as short-term fix.

I might just tell him to get Coinomi beta setup on his iphone. It's the best solution anyway.

Cheers

Just in case you want to pursue nicehash, then I guess what you need to worry is the history of its security breach, and also its TOS citing that they are not already liable on any future hacks Grin

The good thing is you can freely transfer your BTC funds to Coinbase free of charge.
