~800W power usage on 220V

@ 220v!!!

Before, it was similar to an avalon/hash ratio. It just doubled. Yikes.

You know, 800w at 1kV is about 800w at 1V. Just the current is different.

Holy crap you are right. I couldn't believe it for a second. I got thinking about amp requirements and got my placement of shit mixed around. Thanks for making the math work again. Too bad it isn't real.

743  Economy / Services / Re: 3D printing for BTC on: March 05, 2013, 04:01:31 PM
The question is do you sell 3d printers for bitcoin  Shocked

Assembled or just the kit?

I sell the assembled and calibrated reprap prusa v2 with linear bearings for $1500 USD plus shipping. Escrow if you like, payable in BTC. That includes printrboard electronics, rev D.
744  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PrimeAsic - 80 Ghash/sec Asic Miner on: March 05, 2013, 02:57:22 PM
At least this forum got 10BTC from PrimeAsic! I wish every troll would do the same.

Scammer probably made more than that though. I can only imagine people throwing their money at them wanting a spot in line or taking their preorder first.
745  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is bitbet.us buggy? on: March 04, 2013, 10:42:32 PM
If you take 2% fee from losers only, instead of 1% from everyone, this problem would not occur.

Moreover, you are welcome to use my small python program and send me some donations if you like it!
Or if you win something Wink

Yet still, if you take 1% from the total bets before you split them individually, this is also not a problem.
746  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PrimeAsic - 80 Ghash/sec Asic Miner on: March 04, 2013, 09:13:19 PM
I dunno why you'd keep quiet through the entire dev process if you'd built a functional ASIC miner. Wouldn't you at least show off a working prototype to give pause to those throwing $$$ at a certain vaporware vendor? This doesn't make much sense from a business stand point.

Can you guys not see the deeper irony?

They have spent NINE MONTHS IN SECRET DEVELOPING THIS ASIC!!!

Now that it works... instead of build a website, and prove that they have it and it works, announce on the forum that in a couple of days they will get their website up!!

Of course if it was real they could still prove it, but it's not. First few pages everyone wants one. If they actually had an address to get money at they could have been long gone by now.

However, I bet people will still send money.
747  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS custom tailored suits on: March 04, 2013, 05:37:20 PM
Hi,

I travel to china about once a month for work. I figured id post here to see if anyone would be interested in a custom tailored suit.

They are ungodly cheap over there.

If you know the style/ fabric we can go that route. All i really need is your dimensions/measurements.

If anyone is interested let me know and we can work out further details (style, pictures, etc)

Best

Let's see some pictures of the work. Modern style MTM? What kind of a price range are we talking about for dark grey, super 150's. Slim fit, 3 piece? I'm assuming these are tailored more like bespoke than cheap factory cut outs? Pick stitching, working sleeve buttonholes? Low button stance, narrow label.

Can you get MTM shirts made as well? PM me if you aren't going to post it all here.
748  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is anyone else having problems with Bitme deposits? on: March 04, 2013, 03:12:45 PM
Anyone heard anything about bitme?
749  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is bitbet.us buggy? on: March 04, 2013, 02:35:12 PM
But of course ignore my additional comments after you realize you read them wrong.
750  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: March 03, 2013, 01:48:33 AM
If a pool discards S.DICE transactions but intentionally allows competing transactions from same source to process then the pool only needs a few % of network power for anyone to profitably attack S.DICE by trying to double-spend any losing bets - the few % of times the pool includes the double-spend (and cancels the losing bet) then outweigh the house edge on the rest of bets.  You underestimate the extent to which some are opposed to S.DICE (not me - obviously).

I don't know if you're aware, but there's already a bot that routinely double-spends lots of losing SatoshiDice bets.  Its transactions almost never get picked up by the miners though.  All it would need would be for an anti-SD pool to start deliberately mining the double-spent transactions to make SD unprofitable.  Can you think of anyone with a mining pool who's vocally against SD and has used the pool for morally questionable things in the past?  Wink

I'm sure the person you're thinking of is the one I had in mind when making my comments.

No way. We have someone like that who runs a mining pool? I pray it isn't so.
751  Other / Archival / Re: WTB your signature space for 0.1 BTC per 30 days (for now)! on: March 03, 2013, 01:42:20 AM
I want 0.1 per week.

See how many posts I do

I've been charging people way too much! (or you guys aren't charging enough)

Blazr, you get me something significant for my signature and I'll give you 20%. You can even broker it, have them pay you and send me the rest.
752  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is bitbet.us buggy? on: March 03, 2013, 01:39:56 AM
BitBet bets have a weight associated with them - so far, so good.

... but that's better than losing on a winning bet.

Exactly! You should never lose money on a winning bet. bitbet.us should change their weighting algorithm imho.

It is impossible to know in advance what exactly will your weight result to as that also depends on the bets that come after yours. You can do the math on the current result yourself.

Of course you won't know how the weight plays out until it's over. But still... if they took the 1% off the top instead of a per user, the people placing late bets don't lose 1% on a win, they gain their .5% or whatever tiny bit they get.

So basically you figure that if the site charged less you'd make more. Great. So it should do it like that you say. Sure, and if it did you'd still point out that if it charged even less you'd make even more, until it charged nil. At which point...guess what...they could still charge even less, by adding money to the pot, so you could make even more. And more. And more. And stfu. One percent is less than anything else charges, including the mixers.

Scalpers get scalped. So you figured you'll leech a little bit by waiting until it's safe and then making bets on other people's risk. It didn't work out, big surprise, yet another halfbaked "idea" that didn't pan out. Stop whining about it, sit down and figure it out: you did something wrong.

WTF? You're crazy.

Take the 1% profit from the top of the bet... before the pot is split. Shit, listen to what is said, not what you hear.

If 1000 is bet, 1% is 10 right? The way it currently is, the money is split based on the weight. Right? Then the 1% fee is taking out, bitbet gaining 10 out of 1000.

What I am saying is, before the money is split, take out bitbet's 10, so that 990 is split based on the weight.

This isn't fucking someone saying I paid BFL 100 BTC in june now I want my 100 BTC back!! Scammers. I'm suggesting a way to make the service not fucking retarded and bitbet still gets to make their money.

I didn't even bet on the stupid thing. I'm laughing at the people at the bottom of the list that won yet still lost. Funny shit. Take another prozac or something.

It's still bothering me. Go back and read WTF I wrote. I didn't say bitbet should charge .5%, I'm saying if you listen to WTF I said, that the idiots at the end could make some tiny .5% based on their weight instead of losing .5% after the 1% is taken out by bitbet.

...

So about 13333 worth of dividends... :-( Less than the last month.. Who cares about $$$.

I think just about every single person that is invested in SDICE cares about the $$$... There was a net increase in profitability. BTC doubled in value, so actual BTC went down and that makes you sad?

their deposit method won't allow the start of a new marked transaction.

I can confirm that I too couldn't create a new marked cash deposit transaction.

Thank goodness I'm not just going crazy. Or crazier anyway.

They are > 24 hours no response. Sad Trades are still happening, I just can't participate.
