741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What new DeFi token do you know? on: September 15, 2020, 04:26:36 PM
At the moment I'm in UniDapp. Although I am promoting the project, I plan to bag some at the public sale. They have a great product in the works in terms of integrating exciting features to their exchange that will mirror that of Uniswap. Still, DYOR. No project is guaranteed to give you profits so invest wisely.
Please understand the ambushs planned by some scam Defi project and use the strategy to research others before you bag some token in their public sale. However, the last time I checked 95% of all Defi project in the market copy paste the previous Defi project features so there nothing much exciting as you said and theres also an ongoing accussation about the project you mention.
742  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: lost secondary password and some of Wallet Recovery Phrases lost too. on: September 15, 2020, 11:20:09 AM
Not good news for you. Have you tried to contact with their support? Maybe they can help you to recover the password.

Quote
my problem is I have lost my secondary password used for withdrawal.
They will definitely have a way to recover this.

Yes and this is their reply:
Hello,

Unfortunately we are unable to help recover or reset passwords. This is not a matter of policy. This is due to the very way the file encryption is designed. Please try every possible password combination you may have used.

If you backed up your wallet via the 12 word recovery phrase, then you can recover your funds here - https://login.blockchain.com/#/recover. If the Continue button is inactive, then the recovery phrase submitted is inaccurate. Please be aware any funds or addresses stored within the Imported Addresses section of the wallet will not be restored.

If you do not have the correct password or an accurate recovery phrase, then access to the wallet and any funds it may contain has been lost.
Sending messages go the support for help in this kind of situation is useless because theres nothing they can do about it from their end and you're the one that need to help yourself by writing in paper all previous password and the password you think you may have used as the secondary password or used the seedrecover.py script gave to you before.

Sorry I can not login. after I enter my main password the site asks for the secondary password:

That is very strange... I have "second password" enabled (as per the screenshot above), but I'm not prompted to enter it when I login Huh

Thats because the OP has tried to access the account so many time.

743  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC Charges Film Producer, Rapper, and Others for Participation in 2 Fraudulent on: September 14, 2020, 11:39:00 PM
The things some people can do just to make money it's not funny and I never the celebrity in the music industry will also join the group of person that would also scam innocent and ordinary people off the hard earning but it hurt that despite all the warning giving to crypto investors not to believe in advert done by an influential person without doing proper research some investors still dont listen. However, this kind of situation should be enough to make people understand that the project recommended by influential person or celebrity shouldnt be completely trusted with in depth research.
744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing your Crypto in Exchanges is better than using Cold Wallets! on: September 14, 2020, 09:59:33 PM
When you seriously come to think about it - storing your Crypto in exchanges is better than using cold wallets.

The first main reason is that exchanges pay you an interest rate on your Crypto whilst cold wallets pay none.
The last time I checked, only few exchange site offer this kind interest, mostly exchange site that offer lending service are those that pay interest to their user according to the they have have coin.

We've just posted an article about this so if you wish to read our full opinion you're welcome to read this here:

https://freebitcoin.io/articles/free-bitcoin-wallet-and-investment-advice
It sad I wasted some minutes of my time surfing the link you provided in other read the remaining opinion you have but I dont see anything that seem to be information about the reason why saving crypto on exchange site is better than cold storage.

745  Economy / Economics / Re: Famine is coming next ... on: September 14, 2020, 05:25:14 PM
Not everyone on first world countries are invulnerable from famine. Not everyone is rich. Well if you haven't seen any signs of famine right now, you probably is at place that has good economy.

Nah, I don't think so. Actually, I am living here in the province and not yet experiencing famine. However, our country's national debt continue to bloat. It doesn't mean you have a strong and sustainable economy just because you are not experiencing famine. We are. What I only think is happening is that people here only knows how to live even without any form of luxurious stuff. We can live even without going to malls and fancy restaurants,  not ordering expensive foods because fish and vegies were already enough. In short, we are able to survive because we are contented of having a simple life compared to urban areas Smiley.
Shimmiry, I supported what you said because people in the first world countries are always after modern business/work and if such countries hit by famine they will be unprotected because the rate of people into agribusiness is not enough to sustain the country.

NavI_027, the area where people take farming as a top priority can easily survive any famine conditions and I believe most people from your area are into farming but been content cant be enough to skip through the famine.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: QOOBER | EZ Money! | QOOB on: September 14, 2020, 10:15:42 AM
The developers aim to drop banks and intermediaries from the field of global e-Commerce. It's very exciting – let's move on to how we can make money on this project.
No crypto can drop banks cause the institutions won't allow it and we still need them for crypto max use. Mind you, dropping of banks is the reason banks never support crypto from the get go. However, investment in crypto is not always about making money but potential, honest which later lead to trust and this is what newbies don't understand which is why they are the prey in the market.

What is going on: there is a very fresh project QOOBER – only last month old.
I did a background check on the site but could see any tran information or the site age just to confirm if the project was indeed last month old and the chart provided on coingecko shows the project does not enter the market last month as you claimed.

747  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Global Bitcoin Meet-up, on Saturday the 19th of September (free attendance) on: September 14, 2020, 04:17:26 AM
It good to see a cryptocurrency global meetup event since last year but I think is too early to hose this kind of event. However, what are the necessary safety measure put in place for the protection of the attendance due the current pandemic situation which we know it dangerous for humanity

Edit : It good that it an online meetup  Smiley
748  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Quiz to Judge How Likely is Your Crypto Going to be Hacked on: September 12, 2020, 05:16:07 PM
So you ask people which exchanges or web wallets they store their crypto on, you ask them if they use a password manager or have thought up their own password, you ask them if they have 2FA set up and if they SIM protection from their phone carrier, and then you ask them for their email address, knowing full well that most people who are naive enough to store their coins on an exchange are also naive enough to use the same email address for everything.

I'm sorry, but this is a massive security risk. If this is not an intentional phishing attempt, then it certainly seems that way. I would suggest you remove the email requirement entirely.

If this was indeed a phishing attempt, why would we use a subdomain of our hardware wallet which is already a funded project? We respect everyone's privacy and hence never ask for any personally identifiable information. You can input any email you like (even creating a new one just for this) to receive the analysis.
OP, I understand your intentions are not bad cause you used your business subdomain link but the question asked in the quiz are information people are advised not to share with people for security purpose cause if the emails get into wrong hand it maybe sell online or use to send phishing messages and you should have stick to asking the question on your social media account not on here where security/privacy is a top priority.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the best time to buy Kick? on: September 11, 2020, 10:16:47 PM
I think it's not best time to buy kick. I also waiting for buying.  I’ve been following this token for the last two months. And I think its price will fall again.  When it's come 15 or 14 it's best time to buy. My suggestion is - wait for few more days.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I also think, to buy at price at 15 or 14 will be safe. But it is uncertain that it will decrease at 14 or 15 or not. Previous history says that it has another possibility to decrease. I am waiting for that time.
The token will still experience some dump in price but despite the huge number of good potential, utilize and future promising project, I dont understand the reason why you still see the token as a profit making opportunity when there's no strong community support and concept which will help the token to experience some surge in price in the future. Why dont you choose less manipulate good altcoin in the market.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What area of bitcoin participation is easiest to work with? on: September 11, 2020, 11:32:05 AM
Every area in cryptocurrency have it own challenges and risk involving cause crypto is not a quick to rich scheme and you shouldn't expect everything to be smooth sailing. What you ought to do find the area that's will be good and easy for you to understand. However, don't rely on people comment cause what someone believe to do hell of a job could handle easily for you, all you need to do is master the value part of the area you choose to participate in
With that said, it not all crypto mining that require electricity, spending time online and setting up mining rigs cause there are some crypto that require holding some certain amount of coins only to be a miner.
751  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H]BTC want [Paypal] on: September 10, 2020, 10:09:38 PM
Due to the reversible characteristics of Paypal. It will be hard for you to find trusted members of the forum that willing to trade with you since you're the one that will send PayPal and I want you to understand that trading with newbies or not green trust members off the forum(especially on telegram) is not something you should do.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Own crypto + capitalize it on coinmarketcap =) on: September 10, 2020, 09:17:02 PM
I am not sure how much they will charge to list a token but it is going to be in double-figure BTC (correct me if I am wrong).
No one know the actual amount capital market charge for listing but if the OP ask some already listed project owner or user ChiNgad0r who's Capital market Moderator on telegram maybe he could tell him the charge for listing and also assistance him by giving the best directions to get listed on capital because they seems to have some listing rules and regulations.
753  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we be scared of zero reserve banking? on: September 10, 2020, 07:36:47 PM
The Federal Reserve moved all banks from fractional reserve system to zero reserve system is ridiculous. According to my research, the United States was extensively volatile in terms of economic before the implementation of the Federal Reserve and the implementation of zero reserve systems may lead to panic, national currency more devalue and a lot of investors may decide not to take the risk.
But, I don't understand why the government makes some decisions that could collapse the whole country.

754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees (in sats/kb). Sunday, Saturday are best to move BTC on: September 10, 2020, 11:32:02 AM
So, transaction fee is all about low traffic in bitcoin transfer or transactions. I never thought of this since I am really fan of altcoins but now I am starting to look forward on the best coin which is bitcoin. I downloaded already my bitcoin wallet through phone(mobile wallet).

Even if you are altcoins enthusiast, you can easily understand that when crypto market experience huge traffic after halving or not theres always increase in transaction fee.

~
I downloaded already my bitcoin wallet through phone(mobile wallet).
What mobile wallet did you download? Keep in mind that not all of them will allow you customize the fees. The informations provided in the OP will be more useful if you are not going to use custodial wallets. They calculate the fees for you and categorize them into "slow, normal, fast" but they are usually set at a higher rate.

Non-custodial mobile wallets like Electrum and Mycelium allows you to set a fee.
Thats correct but people are advised not to keep huge fund in mobile and web wallet because they are vulnerable to attack.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency invented in 2008 by an unknown person or group of people using the name Satoshi Nakamoto and started in 2009 when its implementation was released as open-source software. Watch this Grounded Download PC Game

755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust Active telegram Groups? on: September 09, 2020, 06:48:39 PM
Even if the project have good active telegram group have you ask yourself how would a project launched last month (20 days ago) will have an active group if theres not something fishy about their social media activities?

So for 6 years you analyzed projects just by looking at the telegram? not looking at the product or team that is in the project? If that's true then I'll give you 2 thumbs up, and I'll ask you, how much money have you lost while choosing a project from telegram?
I don't know about Xfinance
I dont trust his statement cause he might advertise the project on purpose and the last time i check newbies follow project base on news and current trend not through telegram activities.
756  Other / Off-topic / Re: What telegram channels/chats can you recommend to find devs for the project? on: September 09, 2020, 04:37:39 PM
In addition, looking for Devs for a project on telegram will make you a target of scammer and the best option to find what you looking is posting what you're looking for on marketplace or in this thread with an in-depth information about the job the Devs will handle with little information about your project so you can serious response, check linkedln and if you don't know how to find genuine people there you can use fiver where Devs portifolio/knowledge is added to their profile.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2020, 11:28:51 AM
You're completely right. Although Messi's manager was his father but he was the one that makes Messi have a change of heart when he decided to move to Man United due to the problematic false allegation said about him by the club board despite all his commitment to the club.

Obviously the father decides for the sake of the son, what better manager one can hope to have.
Sometimes money is not everything, having money and being hated by all your fans is not a good thing.. and when you are already rich, these things matter.
Even for a common individual, money is not always everything and there are something that are more important than what we want in other for peace to reign this was what Guardiola went to Camp Nou when majority of people thought it was because to complete the Messi transfer deal.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 Cryptocurrencies to Watch This Week on: September 08, 2020, 10:38:08 PM
I'm only interested in Polkadot (DOT) this time, this is a crazy project because with its very significant growth for at least less than three weeks, and with the achievement of this extraordinary market cap I think it will be a token that will be an attraction this week. Just need to look further, because I was really surprised when I saw this token at the top and I thought it would be a threat to other top coins because of its strong dominance.
I hope you're not interested in the project because how claimed the top 100 spot on capital market out of the blue because there's nothing so special about the project concept than the governance and staking which there's so many project that offer such services but never make it to the top 100. Why do you seize this moment that BTC market is experiencing dump in price.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 08, 2020, 09:24:39 PM
Messi can play well till his fourties if he want but I am not sure he will play well in Premier League after his 35s.
I doubt if he will play till forties. 38 may be the last age for him to play in a football match. But it is purely our speculation, we don't know what he already plans for his career in the old age. But I disagree to underestimate him to play in Premier League. Never judge that he won't play well till he tries to play there for one season at least.

In top leagues a player playing to forty plus years is unheard of, goal keepers can -buffon- let's not run the time/age limits of Messi playing football. There are other things that can stop or put to end the professional playing football career of a player
+ Injuries and reoccurring effect of surgeries
+ Club/personal/families-this mostly family opinion- the club/personal can be problems.

Even the players want to keep playing these and more can make them have a changed heart
You're completely right. Although Messi's manager was his father but he was the one that makes Messi have a change of heart when he decided to move to Man United due to the problematic false allegation said about him by the club board despite all his commitment to the club.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money from bank hacks rarely gets laundered through cryptocurrencies on: September 08, 2020, 07:56:29 PM
It good swift took their time to study the cases of money laundering happened through Fiat and crypto currency because people usually make a big deal when crypto scam and thats was the major weapon the institutions and some government usually used against crypto whereas the fiat money laundering is even worse than crypto.
@OP, thank you so much for this share.
