Do you trust Active telegram Groups?

I don't think there's some connection between active groups and success of the project. Do you mean people having discussion about the project on the official telegram group or team actively posting an updates about the project? If you mean active telegram group that refers to users talking or discussion about the project there's no effect of it on the project itself it might be a good exposure for the public that they have active community but other than that I don't think there's an effect of having an active community might have an effect to the success of the project.

Hi all , I'm a newbie in bitcointalk but not in Crypto field. I have about 6 Years of experience about this field.

As an Investor , Still i have a doubt with some active telegram groups. I have analysed so many projects and Most successful projects had an Active telegram Group.

So far I have analyzed 500+ projects before investment  

My analysis Results are here

A)  9%      successful projects with an Active telegram group
B)  6%      unsuccessful projects with an Active telegram group
C)  25%    unsuccessful projects
D)  60%    scam projects

But Now I have decided to invest for a projects having an Active Telegram group , But tell me your openion about these type of projects.

Xfinance is new to me, I never heard about it before. But for my side, I like to invest my money on a popular platform! A platform that has good reviews.
I don't trust many telegram groups because many of them are fake and scam! So you must be careful before you regret it later.

I personally don't consider the activities in a telegram group as a prerequisite for a good project. Getting an active telegram group doesn't cost much because bounty hunters can be used to keep the group active all the time. There are a several legit projects whose telegram group are not that active and everyone is satisfied with the performance of the team.

Most of them are scams , not any hyped project like $Bella , $orn , $geeq etc did that cheap thing because their project was good enough that didnt need telegram shit , these junk you see gathering money mostly are unknown scams who want to get some easy money then rug it .

It's nice joining an active telegram group, because it means that one could easily get the needed assistance when necessary and get to know more about the project and the cryptocurrency industry from the discussions in the group. I prefer active telegram groups because the news about the happenings in the space is readily available and shared thereby making one up to date in the happenings of the industry.

If it's a project with an anonymous team then by the time you forget it, current projects will all follow by adding the first letter Y or the last name Finance. They are looking for ways to imitate Yearn.finance.
Open their source code and test them, if you don't know how to get the help of a developer you know.
Being vigilant is great, don't trust the guys talking on Telegram because they may be ignorant.

Telegram groups is more like the most direct contact the community has with the project and with the telegram group the community can relate their aspirations as it relates with the project and get one on one conversation with the team and project CEO. Its a good decision to keep the telegram group active as it builds trust for the project. Most projects with inactive telegram groups are dead or the verge of dieing.

Obviously, in this case everyone can judge which projects are active and which projects are dead, because all of this is clearly visible through conversations between admins and group users who continue to provide good support and keep updating important information about project progress.

Of course I don't believe in active telegram groups, because there is no guarantee with projects that have an active telegram group
is a good project. In fact, based on my experience joining various telegram groups, it is very rare, I can find useful information.
If we are going to invest in a project, it is not enough just to rely on information from telegram group. We need to find out more,
and this Bitcointalk forum is the source of information that I trust the most compared to the information I got from the telegram group.

it does not really indicate a good project or a yardstick to measure the success of a project, believe me i have seen some active telegram group who pay their users to shill in the group to keep it active and make it look as if the project have something going, this type of telegram group you will notice the team members never drop in to say anything, only the admin is in control, no activities, no updates,

while there are genuine telegram group who are really active because of the investors find the project interesting enough and want to discuss about the progress, in this telegram group, the discussion will be different, constructive and the team always visit to chat or do AMA section in the group, any project with this type of group is worth paying attention to, just my observation.

Adab the scam exchange that scam millions of dollars have a very active Telegram group but that did not except or stopped them from scamming their investors, active telegram groups have nothing to do with the potential of the project I would not even consider it as one of the criteria because it doesn't contribute.

Not all active telegram groups in other projects can be trusted because some are only using multiple accounts, so they could pretend that their investors and other participants are active. You don't actually see the potential of a project by looking and reading messages in their telegram groups because you can only see their potentials if you see they are making progress, and those progress have a good some outputs to it.

indeed not all projects, but sometimes the number of members in the group makes their considerations. active admin is also a consideration. but most groups become a lot of people because of an event or airdrop that is carried out and are required to join the group. it is part of the marketing project. everyone has their consideration.

There are real projects which I followed in telegrams. Most of them have active users and admin but there are still project in telegrams which are shit. Therefore, I did not trust 100% in active telegrams because not all of them are real projects. In fact, there is a telegram campaign which we have to say good words about the project to gain coins. It is not a real investors but paid shillers. If there are active telegrams I have to follow, those are the coins found in binance or kucoin because I used them and I always look upon the development in order to improve my swing trades and fundamental analysis.

There are legit telegram group of active and legit projects. You shouldn't join those projects that are randomly making telegram groups.

Rely on those legit telegram group that are announced or attached on the projects social media channel or messaging platforms. There are many channels that a project can make, not just with telegram. Verify the admin on those channels by seeing the official announcements.

Nowadays active or big telegram groups are no guarantee of projects success because most of telegram community comes from airdrops or bounty campaigns. 2-3 years big telegram communities were an indication of projects demand and popularity but that community was organic that is why now the effect has faded away.

This is not true even scam projects have an active telegram group and I have been on so many of them I don't know why you have this idea, this is a weak point to trace a scam projects, you are not fully aware on how scammers works they use a bot to add people and they subscribed to services which offer people in their telegram channel, your study is useless and pointless.

Do you have any reports for the number of projects with active telegram groups exit scammed their investors?

Afaik, lot of active telegram groups end up in the scam once they made enough money so don't look their activity just look at their legitimacy.

So for 6 years you analyzed projects just by looking at the telegram? not looking at the product or team that is in the project? If that's true then I'll give you 2 thumbs up, and I'll ask you, how much money have you lost while choosing a project from telegram?
