Erm sorry to be the buzz kill but can you make it multicurrency?
742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Keeps You in BTC for the Long Haul? on: March 15, 2013, 12:16:48 AM
What keeps me here is a few reasons.

1. The part of the UK I live in has the worst job rate in the country.
2. I have been fixing computers since I was a child so bitcoin mining really helps put all those hours spent fixing computers into currency.
3. My bank/fiances are not the greatest but it is what I'm stuck with.
4. The greatest of them I mine the coins I keep the coins no one can ever touch or move them besides me Cheesy
743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.S. to let spy agencies scour Americans' finances on: March 15, 2013, 12:06:52 AM
Bitcoin users are affected, you still gotta get your money out.
...
I have never "cashed out" and never will. My coins are for spending not selling. I don't understand why so many peers work their ass of to get BTC , then sell for a thee dollar profit. Why not just spend the coins?

Bad thing about buying stuff with bitcoins is your location.
In america their are a lot more traders that accept the amazing bitcoins.
But in euro it is hard to buy with it since either we have to pay tax on anything that gets imported or the price of shipping is a massive joke.
744  Economy / Lending / Re: Need to lend 10 BTC will payback 20 when it mines. on: March 14, 2013, 11:52:16 PM
If I wanted to scam you for bitcoins why would I be lending such a small amount.

Ok, you got me there. Send coins to the address in my sig and whatever you send will be doubled and sent back to you.

I'm trying to lend some coins not give a donation.

Because you said you want to lend 10 BTC, he said send it to him and he'll double it....see how lending works?

I think you mean to say you want to borrow 10 BTC, and are looking for someone to lend it to you... Smiley

Words, they can really screw you up Smiley

Thank you very much for the help I changed the thread title Smiley

Also it kind of ticks me off that you are trying to make me look like a scammer.

I'm new to mining and I'm really trying to get into it but when you are trying to call me something I'm not.

I'm going to call you a turtle and forever call you a turtle since you must be a turtle.

747  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [13000 GH] BTC Guild - PPS/PPLNS with TxFees, Stratum+Vardiff ASIC Tested on: March 14, 2013, 11:36:47 PM
how are we doing mining back your losses?

5.6 BTC has been mined by users on btcguild_donate  .  3.62 BTC has been donated to 1GuiLdvH3YjJyEExyTmcd7X2nwX7pZvV7a .  So 9.2 BTC has been donated (either directly or as hash power) since it was made available.  We had 3 avalons (I think) mining on btcguild_donate yesterday for a few hours, which really helped out on the recovery.  As of right now the btcguild_donate worker is at ~1.3 GH/s.  Every bit is greatly appreciated.

Hey Eleuthria;
I've only been mining about 4 months, but I have only been with BTCGuild. (except the 1/2 day it took to compare this pool to some others--no comparison IMHO). I have put one of my measly workers on to the donate pool. It isn't much, and you desrve a whole lot more (from the top 25ers out there!)
You run a great pool!

I hope ASICMINER votes to donate a day. They have a lot of investment and a short time to reap the rewards, but it would not take them long to make a HUGE difference in the shortfall.

Best of luck, and keep up the great work!

Just saw your stories on about getting scammed, when I can get some BTC I will happily send my tiny little 1gh/s to help out Smiley

750  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox not pay real money WARNING!!!! on: March 14, 2013, 11:23:24 PM
Seems like we are both in same boat I have been looking around for a company that can get bitcoin to bank and their is not many that do uk/euro transfers without you having major loss.

How long has been since you sent the withdraw request?

Also have you tried contacting your back to see if they are holding the money.
751  Economy / Lending / Need to borrow 10 BTC will payback 20 when it mines. [Cancelled due to A-hole] on: March 14, 2013, 11:15:13 PM

Got to say I recently moved to this pool from slushs and it has a lovely UI and it tells me how good my machine is doing so I don't even need to go close to it for a few days  Grin
753  Bitcoin / Mining support / UK ISP problems with mining on: March 14, 2013, 04:19:51 PM
Ok so I'm newish to mining but the main problem is my isp keeps on throttling my internet connection since it is counted as p2p.

Does anyone know a company in united kingdom that allows p2p/bitcoin mining?

I'm going to get really serious about mining to a few rigs and soon as I can afford it I will get a few ASIC rigs to so it will have a lot of up and down.
what sucks is no fibre so i'm stuck with low speeds and throttling till I find one that does not eat idiot bricks for breakfest.

Anyway anyone that can help me and me not be complete robbed blind a small amount of nice and tasty bitcoins will be given Smiley
754  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox not pay real money WARNING!!!! on: March 14, 2013, 01:01:24 AM
I rather post here than in noobie second but a lot of Mt.Gox works a lot more in US than EU even the uk is badly getting slow transfers.
Best thing to do is make sure your account has been verified if it is not can take a lot longer than 45 days.

758  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: eBay hunting and look what I found a scam on: March 13, 2013, 05:33:03 PM
That one has been removed now, but a new one has appeared, item 281077220973 on ebay.co.uk

Will ship it in 30 days with paypal but send him BTC and you can have it in 15 days, nice touch with the ebay username

I'm a newbie and even I know better, 8 unique bidders idiots.

Great to see it has been removed but I'm willing to guess that they will keep trying till they actually get money from someone.
but ebay and bitcoin miners are never a good combo.
