Overall Project status:
Done some more work on the Firmware, it now works flawlessly with cgminer.[/b]
The Prototype will not arrive until mid week due to problems with my manufacturing partner for the protype.

From a guy like you are I didn't think is possible to give any less then excellent performance.
Just wanted to say we all appreciate your effort. Thank you for what your doing burnin.

Small donation coming your way.
Sorry it's not more, it is what I can mine in one day and still have to gather and buy one chip more.

745  Economy / Securities / Re: Community Mining - Bitfury Asic Miner 120GH/s --> Last 40 Shares available soon on: June 23, 2013, 08:51:30 PM

the two weekly payout, that is then dividends for two weeks paid at once?

yes, that is true
746  Local / Biete / Re: Community Mining - Bitfury Asic Miner 120GH/s --> Get the last 40 Shares soon! on: June 23, 2013, 08:16:19 PM

748  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: June 23, 2013, 07:01:43 PM
We will start sending chips beginning of next week. Probably Monday. I will try to give more detailed info about this tomorrow.
749  Local / Biete / Re: Community Mining - Bitfury Asic Miner 120GH/s --> Get the last 40 Shares soon! on: June 23, 2013, 06:29:07 PM

I think the best way is just let burnin finish the 1st generation of Avalon based Miners before talking here about 2nd generation, even if the bitfury chips may come first on the market.

But it makes no sense to stop developing 1 thing and just start another, although for what burnin said if his 1st generation Miner is finished, it isnt so much of a work to change things to Bitfury chips.. at least thats what i think from his comment.

Lets just do 1 thing after another..  The bitfury chips are not an actual topic right now, bitfury has to finish testing them and as we all know the first chips will get into the metabank Miners.

Burnin will definatly annouce something if its time, but first lets wait for the final Avalon chip based Miners and the website to come up.

Update: Limited Board Completion Order Window

Finally, good news from Avalon Smiley: they found some time to look into my tickets and resolved the issue I had with my cancelled 8th batch. They activated it again and it shows up with 'Chips ordered' with 1st of May as order date. Thanks to Avalon support taking so much uncertainty off my shoulders.

With that, I am now able to follow the numerous requests from people asking for some more chips to allow them to complete assembly of mining boards that otherwise would only be partially populated with chips.

As seen in the auction threads, with the removal of doubts on Avalon's ability to deliver, the chips are already traded over 0.1BTC each. I am not going to profit from this development and keep the original price of 0.086. But I am adding the following terms to ensure that the opportunity is taken for what it was intended (i.e. complete boards) and not for short term profit making:

Terms

  • orders are for the 8th batch of chips, which might get delivered up to 2 weeks after the 1st
  • limited volume: 3500 chips
  • you can only order if you already bought from me
  • the maximum number of chips you might order is
    • 50% of the chips you already ordered
    • but not more than 50 chips
  • only one additional order per user

I believe this is the best way to prevent speculative orders and to favor smaller miners.

The order process remains as introduced in the OP, namely:
  • select your number of chips N (not bound to multiples of 10 this time), max. as given above
  • send the total amount (C = N * 0.086) to 162HWpt9njiDsk5nwGixw7fDPuNy55Kh9X
  • send only from an address you can sign with (no MtGox, Pool, other services)
  • ideally, send from the address you paid your previous orders, so your payment will be automatically assigned to you
  • if your wallet does not allow to select sending address
    • select one address that was used as input from your payment
    • announce it via PM or thread with a single CSV formatted line: <forum nick>;<N>;<C>;<sending address>

This order window will close within a week, more precisely on 2013-06-29T18:00Z (next Saturday, 18:00 UTC). It will end prematurely when the 3500 chips are sold, you can check at any time for remaining chips yourself by ensuring the final balance on that address is below 301 BTC.

Please take care to comply with the terms and process introduced. I spent countless sleepless nights fixing invalid orders or answering the always same questions with the initial order processing. The mechanisms are really quite simple and need to be understood by anyone who seriously operates in the Bitcoin world (like what does it mean to be able to sign with an address).

Cheers

Please read this,

And thanks zefir for the opportunity here!

regards
754  Local / Biete / Re: Hardware Hosting - besteht Interesse? on: June 23, 2013, 02:56:45 PM

756  Economy / Securities / Re: Community Mining - Avalon ASIC chip Miner------> All Shares are taken on: June 21, 2013, 01:54:21 PM
Hey guys,

have some good news for you.
Burnins Prototype is already hashing!

Quit? Let the riot begin:

The Firmware is not yet production ready cgminer throws a shitton of errors on starting.
AND the chip currently runs at 128Mhz because its not properly cooled, i have tested it at 256mhz too and it works but its too hot for long tests.

Now the bad news:
I will very likely not get the boards tomorow so we have to wait until Monday.
757  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BitCentury] Metabank 120Gh 65nm Pre-Order Proxy [**WAIT LIST**] on: June 21, 2013, 07:07:28 AM
How's this for more Bitfury news...

Bitfury started an open bet here: http://bitbet.us/bet/450/bitfurys-asic-will-work-with-power-1/

...and placed 99 BTC of his own money on the YES side. The Yes side meaning that he if he didn't deliver less than 1 W per GH/s per chip by June 15th, 2013, he'd lose his coins to the opposing betters.

Well June 15th came and went, and he missed the deadline by a few days, so he lost the bet from a time perspective. Now a few days later his chip is proven to be working and supposedly exceeding the power/Gh numbers, and so he is actually paying out everyone else who bet on the YES side who believed in him - something he never had to do.

More details here:

Genius + high integrity = Awesome!  Grin

yeah, also saw that, really a nice guy!
