741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No Wonder Satoshi Disappeared... on: November 07, 2019, 11:05:52 PM
Ripple is far older than BTC. If I remember rightly it got rolling in a rather different form in 2004 or so. This makes it a double piss take as it's had 15 goddamn years to achieve something, and indeed it has - a truly ludicrous price based on nothing.

Back then, Ripplepay.com was just a website that allowed people to extend credit to one another. There was no native currency like XRP. The whole thing was reinvented as a Bitcoin copycat with centrally issued tokens in 2012. So, XRP has only had 7 years to attain a totally ridiculous price. Tongue
For years ripple has been promoted through various domains, but nothing reached the common people. After the evolutionary bitcoin ripple is being reinvented as said in the above quote. This being comparison with bitcoin it got its usage. Further at times they themselves manipulated with price pumping to make it visible to the community who aren't much focused on it.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any bounty campaigns for Newbies? on: November 07, 2019, 03:18:23 PM
most campaigns only requires jr members and above, you rarely see a campaign that that include newbie in the rank of participants required especially signature campaign but as for social media, translator, content creator, even newbie can participate, as long as you follow all required process, so it is lleft for you to decide what campaign you want to join excluding signature ofcours.
Honestly, it is difficult for ranks like newbies, jr.members, and members in this forum to participate in bounty and signature campaigns because they really required high ranks and merits for you to get accepted. It is very rarely for a signature campaign who accepts ranks like newbies, jr.members, and members because most of them just make spam and burst post just to earn in this forum.
That's right we rarely see a signature campaign that requires a newbie to member to participate in the bounty campaign because if I would be the bounty manager it would be hard for me to trust those low level ranks and low merit accounts to participate in the said bounty, because they may just make mess in some sections or thread wearing the signature of the project and it would be hard for the bounty manager to clean those mess, like spamming or burst posting.
Today we see that almost full member and above are the one who are benefiting the bounty campaign and they are the one who are required fo join on the said bounty.
Just because of having a newbie account doesn't mean they can't be trusted. There are people who are legit and enter with the willingness to learn and earn. The complications is the acceptance of newbies into campaigns leads to creation of more accounts. Earlier there were few campaigns that accepted newbies, further this has changed with the campaigns accepting from Members.
743  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 1 Bitcoin equal to half million USD? on: November 07, 2019, 02:21:10 PM
When i start this thread bitcoin price so low. now so high.. why is the price rising? anything new happened since I last log in?
You've created the thread five months back. In cryptospace five months is a good time period to experience big change. The market change this time has happened on the positive side, by the same time there are chances of negative trend. This is all associated with the increase in the real-time usage of cryptocurrencies as well as the positive speculations than the circulation of negative news associated with cryptocurrencies.
744  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I convert my money into? on: November 07, 2019, 01:01:17 PM
At present the market of bitcoin seems to grow with time. When we think of altcoins, the growth isn't that big. This means it is good time for investments over altcoins. Going through CMC and find some low price coins that has good trading volume as well got listed on reputed exchanges. This needs to be done without any others intervention. If you've done things right you'll get assured return on the investment once the altcoin bull run starts.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact on gambling on: November 07, 2019, 12:46:09 PM
I used to play Sportsbook and my winnings might be based on 70% Luck 30% Knowledge. In choosing bets, I previously looked at their match history and analyzed and then executed what market had the highest chance of winning.
Whether it is sports betting or something else, the winning depends majority on luck. We can gather more information relative to the game and the players of that team, but the game gets changed in no time with unpredicted results getting success. An example for the same is the recent T20 between India and Bangladesh. None could've thought Bangladesh will win the game, but it happened.
746  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin goes down, no new rich people anymore on: November 07, 2019, 11:31:05 AM
because bitcoin prices dropped as a result no new rich people arrived suddenly. . . on the contrary, many people go bankrupt because they suffer losses ... haha haahaa
We should keep in mind that bitcoin is not the only mean to become rich. It may help you become rich easily, you shouldn't still rely your complete living on it. Never ever invest all your money in bitcoin because it very risky. You should also find a stable job, a real one so that you can earn money that has a real assurance. Maybe it's true that there are no new rich people anymore since the price hasn't fully recovered yet but sooner or later, as it regain its high value, lots of rich people will show up again.
Once it served to be a way to become rich for the early adopters. Then onwards as the price skyrocketed it became a way to get rich for the people who are financially free to invest in large scale. There are people who have benefited investing small amounts, but now this is truly a big price for middle class people. More and more people are getting rich out of bitcoin, but those are already rich. Then onwards new rich people need to emerge from low price coin investments, and surely this will happen over the falling years.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin dead? What's happening? on: November 04, 2019, 08:49:30 PM
LTC is good, especially right now the price is great to fill your pockets with this coin. I believe that LTC, ETH and BCH would be the first three coins that would boom after the new beginning of a bulltrend, that is hopefully coming in the nearest future.
Litecoin was much expected to give a big growth unlike the market trend depending on the halving that was scheduled months back. There is no big growth, the market moved downwards along with bitcoin and rest of the leading altcoins. Litecoin is one of the best altcoin for bigger profiting, and now this has reached a price above $60 which to is a good buying price for good profiting.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and casinos on: November 04, 2019, 07:55:09 PM
I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?

Considering the capital hold with casinos, I dont think that the casinos would move from public ledgers to crypto keeping in mind their proneness to hacking. Crypto being decentralized and anonymous make them not suitable for traditional casinos environment.
For some reason everything won't get moved to the bitcoin usage. Bitcoin is all about technology, but for casino business owners it is a must to attract all levels of people. Upon this it is quite hard to see bitcoin as the only source to spend on casinos offline. Maybe in the online casinos such a scenario can change as most of the people who prefer online casinos have system knowledge.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 03, 2019, 11:53:14 PM
It was a shame that the rain came and stopped the Australia/Pakistan game as it was looking like Australia were cruising to victory at 0/41 in the 4th over. I really think Australia would of won this match as Finch looked in very good form but these things happen in cricket.

Well, Finch ain't very happy with the umpires. He thinks that umpires should've cut down the lunchtime by 5 minutes so that Aussies could get 2 overs extra.

Nothing can happen anymore, but it seems like the rules (with a little help of rain) literally stole the victory from Aussies. Roll Eyes
At least the umpires ended the match with a No Result. Australia missed an easy win. There are matches where the results were given without any proper explanation, the entire world expects a result while the referees end the match with a different result. Anyhow the upcoming matches will be more interesting.
750  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Viber, WhatsApp, skype, WeChat, Snapchat, IMO, Line not conduct ICO? on: November 03, 2019, 11:17:14 PM
Maybe they don't need it yet. Also, there are other methods of funding projects apart from ICO. They also want their reputations to be upheld positively. Their customer base is huge and they could also make more money by updating their app by increasing the size of app for download, so ICO seem unnecessary for them.
ICO is a funding process which is done to raise funds for the further development of the project. All the applications mentioned here has got a big fund reserve and it is making a big revenue through its user network. Further what these networks can do is create tokens that has realtime usage similar to libra. I don't know to what extent this happens.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to prepare for long term HODL on: November 01, 2019, 11:59:10 PM
you said its not about good coins but its how you hodl but why you have a 4 reasons ? the two of your reasons are about picking a good coin which is against on your first sentence . its not really about hodling alone because no matter how good you are at hodling but if you only pick a bad coin , i dont think youl be sucesful of earning a profit but the other two of your reasons are okay and i agree on them .
Here the problem is picking the right coin for long term hold. Not every coin profit good in the long term, analyzing better we need to pick the right ones. In such a way second point is very important. Initially he has stated the indirect warning you can't expect results as one wish, so having a job secure the life. In the third point it is also about choosing of the coin, finally the continued observation is a must to make changes to the holding if something isn't working as scheduled.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: November 01, 2019, 11:43:54 PM
If we are talking about sports betting, in order to be individual in this type of gambling, you must also be a professional and have a great deal of knowledge of a particular sport, as well as in a single professional or team.  Otherwise, you have to do as most do and hope for a good result.
Agreed, knowledge about the particular game is very important. Apart from the same when one has placed a bet against the majority and experienced a win, further his mind will always look for the odds that is against the majority. When we go against the majority of there exist a situation of the game going closer it is possible to lower the loss.
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are You Concerned On Sudden Rise of Bitcoin? on: October 31, 2019, 04:17:36 PM
What is there to concern about the sudden growth, this is common with cryptocurrency. Months back too the similar form of growth happened with bitcoin pumping to reach a price above $13000. For each and everything we can't search for reason to relate to it. As the market has grown after unexpected drop to $7500 people look for something to relate with the growth. Here some feel it a manipulated growth while some mention it as a growth out of China's decision on blockchain. Whatsoever, the growth gives happiness.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin SV strong push on: October 31, 2019, 03:12:27 PM
coins that I will stay away from despite the high rise. At the time of Hardfork I bought a lot of BCH to get this BSV coin, but in the end the price continued to fall and the CEO who claimed to be the creator of Bitcoin was also called a con artist. This trait made the CEO of binance angry and delisted BSV. Don't spend too long holding this BSV coin, if it's already lucky to sell it and move to another coin.

The decision of Binance to delist Bitcoin SV is due to the controversy created by the owner himself, Craig Wright. The name Craig Wright is so closely associated with Bitcoin SV that it is the name itself that will burn Bitcoin SV to the ground. And not only Binance that delisted Bitcoin SV. Kraken delisted Bitcoin SV. Koinex delisted Bitcoin SV. And many more. In fact, the moment Craig Wright claimed that he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto, every exchange should have delisted Bitcoin SV already.
But strangely why there are still people who trust this coin, even with the many controversies that exist. BSV is currently ranked number 9 on coin marketcap. Maybe because of the controversy this BSV coin can survive. Exchange like binance, kraken has refused this coin.
Bitcoin SV got into more controversies, but it came out providing good profit to the investors. If this wasn't strong it isn't possible to stay within the top 10 altcoins of the coinmarketcap. Even after rejections from the top exchanges with increased trading volume it continues to have a trading volume above $3 billion. Based on these facts it is good for short term holding and trading purposes.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site on: October 31, 2019, 02:25:23 PM
Hey i love to gamble i usually use bustabit, ethercrash, flashflip, stake, roobet

Any other good sites you guys recommend?
Those mentioned were good websites for gambling, apart from this when you look for sports betting websites there is a big list with varied features. Few of which tops the list are Nitrogensports, cloudbet, Onehash, betcoin.ag and few more which are under development. These websites too have lots and lots of accusations, but they're quite legit in general.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy birthday, Bitcoin! on: October 31, 2019, 01:17:05 PM
Bitcoin, the OG cryptocurrency, turns 11 on 31 October. Over the past decade (and a bit), Bitcoin has inspired the advent of an entirely new industry based on the concept of decentralization. For its most fierce supporters, Bitcoin signals salvation – a way of beating the centralized financial systems and garnering freedom.

A lot has happened over the last 11 years, so let’s break things down year by year and take a look at the rise of this incredible technology.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4g1XFU8Gto

2008

On 31 October 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto released a whitepaper titled Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. The paper detailed modes of using a peer-to-peer network (a blockchain), to form a cryptocurrency that functioned outside of the boundaries of a central bank or authority. The paper was largely in response to the financial crisis that had occurred earlier in the same year, a recession which rocked the global financial markets.

2009

3 January 2009 saw the formation of the Bitcoin blockchain, when Satoshi Nakamoto mined the genesis block of Bitcoin (block 0), which had a reward of 50 BTC. The following text was embedded in the coinbase of this block:

“The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.”

Many people believe that this text refers to a headline that was published in The Times on 3 January 2009. It’s believed to act both as a timestamp of the genesis date, and a comment on the instability that was caused by fractional-reserve banking and, therefore, the global recession.

SourceForge hosted the first open source Bitcoin client, which was released on 9 January 2009.

On 12 January 2009, Hal Finney (one of Bitcoin’s earliest supporters) received 10 BTC from Satoshi Nakamoto in the world’s first Bitcoin transaction.

2019

So here we are today: Bitcoin has made a solid recovery from it’s dismal 2018, and many analysts expect a bull run in the near future. Bitcoin has connected people and communities in a way that no technology has before. Bitcoin is the pioneer behind blockchain, that is helping build a more decentralized and fairer future. Ultimately, Bitcoin is a tool for freedom – and it’s not going anywhere. Happy Birthday Bitcoin – you’ve been good to us!

https://www.etoro.com/blog/market-insights/happy-birthday-bitcoin/

I get where you are coming from, but this is more of a day when people found out about it, and not when it was born. It was born when the genesis block was mined. October 31st would be an equivalent of finding out that you're pregnant.
That's cool of you, from your quote it seems like it is the day when the pregnancy test report (Whitepaper) got published. Technically speaking if it was the day when the pregnancy got confirmed, then within two months of time the baby coming out to the world is a miracle. Normally from the day after confirmation at least it takes nine months to deliver the baby. Lol Cheesy
757  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa - Hidden Treasure for the world and bitcoin on: October 31, 2019, 01:00:18 PM
This is true, Africa is the continent which is covered with natural resources. The lack of governance and the divide and rule system made them to suffer. Finally to evade the natural resources the first world countries created fight within them based on religion and other issues. If the natural resources were used, or channeled in the right way Africa might have stood strong in its economic development. Even now there are people who are good enough and wealthy enjoying good health and wealth in a better margin than the grown countries.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Want 10x profits in quick time? WAVES can be one of the coin you must buy now. on: October 30, 2019, 07:19:20 PM
Waves is one among the altcoins that keeps up the market without getting into the hands of whales. It gave a good rise particularly during the year 2018 December month close to the days of Christmas. This all happened when the entire crypto market was experiencing crash. None were able to predict the growth, and this happened for few days and slowly it got stabilized. As the thread title mention it is possible to get 10X profit, but it requires time for the same.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 30, 2019, 06:30:15 PM
Anyone watching the Hong Kong v Oman T20 match, i was expecting Hong Kong to win the match with all the reviews here but it looks like Oman has the chance to qualify in the world cup as Hong Kong already lost seven wickets and they need 52 from 6 overs which is an impossible total but if they can win from this position it will be a miracle.
The match has come close, and there is more chances for this match to end after a hard fight. Now Hong Kong need 36 runs from 27 balls with three wickets in hand. Let's wait and see, just few over left to end the match. I think this will turn to be a miracle for Hong Kong as the above mate indicates.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1000x potential token on: October 29, 2019, 05:41:57 PM
I think it is impossible to ride 1000x. If it is true ordinary developers who do trading themselves or indeed manipulation.
But maybe it could be because in crypto all can happen.

Open the CoinMarketCap and look (just for a pure interest) to some tokens statistics. Several of them managed to make this X1000. Yes, it was years ago; now, this turn seems to be impossible, but look for instance, at NEO. Too many people started to forget this so-called Chinese Ethereum, and it decided to Moonrise suddenly. Everything is possible with cryptocurrencies, and the hige growth also.
Agreed, going through the coinmarketcap it is possible to find a large number of tokens that have provided with such a big growth. This took place years ago and now people are waiting for such a moment which is really a dream in the present market. Neo, cardano, iota are tokens with good potential. These can get pumped anytime, and users were keeping hold of it with belief of experience same as 2017.
