7401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will you start accepting Bitcoin in your store and boost your sales? on: April 10, 2017, 10:34:53 PM
Now there are very good conditions to accept bitcoins as a payment on your business. There are many great payment processors. But business just don't see reasons why they need to accept bitcoins. Bitcoin community is still very very small and it's very low possibility that business customer is bitcoin user and he may want to pay with bitcoins.

But adding it as payment option will not harm them. It's not with the number of bitcoin users but it's just a simple additional payment option including the regular ones since on the other side of the note, we can speculate that 1/4 of the whole merchant's customer somehow uses bitcoin or even it's not it's fine.

A single customer that used bitcoin as payment method in that store can grab some other bitcoin users too especially if the said store is easy to access for it's co-bitcoin users. Just make sure that bitcoin payment will not be dependable on a third party services but rather own owner's system to somehow save some fees.

That sounds logical. Why wouldn't they just put a payment option for Bitcoin?

Profitable companies (large companies) take direction from consumer demands and react to real (or perceived) consumer complaints.

I haven't bought Adidas in a very long time because they use endangered kangaroo leather. Even though they agreed to stop using it I will never buy their products again. I don't trust them to do the right thing and will not spend my life supervising or researching what they are doing right now.

Companies that refuse to accept Bitcoin or stop accepting Bitcoin (like Microsoft) might see a perceived stigma to accepting it. Silk Road, pirate@40, MtGox, BFL, kidnappings, and other negatives have been hyped by the media to create a general perception of Bitcoin as "crime money".  Why (as a decent law abiding citizen) would I shop at a place that gets part of its revenue from "crime money". That's the problem with negative press, it sticks with people a long time and is really hard to wash off.

Good points for sure, negative press is picked up quicker than positive news IMO
especially in todays world where "crime" accounts for a very large portion of news stories
along with politics [mostly negative]

For governments at the moment in general they are not seeing a benefit to their
exchequers from Crypto Curencies so they are all to happy to hear the negative
press except that is Japan who recently recognised Bitcoin as legal payment
https://news.bitcoin.com/japan-bitcoin-method-payment-april-1/

Now this is a really positive news story and hopefully in the short term
will see other countries following Japan's stance!
I think if you have a business in Japan the time is right to accept BTC
7402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to study an altcoin on: April 10, 2017, 10:17:00 PM
How new does the altcoin have to be?

I would suggest getting into Bitcoin first and then trade into
your chosen altcoin from Bitcoin.

You will need to do some research and work out the positives
and negatives. Check the announcement threads here on BtcTalk
and obviously check out news articles on google and reddit etc.

No-one knows what the future holds and a true example of this
is the activity surrounding "Litecoin" which up to a few weeks ago
was talked about as being "dead"
7403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: April 10, 2017, 09:51:25 PM
Why do coins have to be a store of value? All that does is lead to hoarding. How much bitcoin gets spent? Very little, people think of it like gold, or stocks.

The value of doge is that it can be used as a currency - in other words, to buy and sell real things in the real world. The inflationary side is a plus because it means people spend and tip instead of hoarding.

What got me thinking was "where can I spend Dogecoin?" and this list
throws up a few possibilities https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/wiki/shop_with_dogecoin
I must admit the list is not hugh but I didnt realise you could even spend it anywhere.

Like all altcoin's I have heard good and bad things about Dogecoin
and I have to do a little more research on it. My desktop wallet is "Dogecoin Ready"
so I do have a place to store it if/when I decide to get involved.

What has been mentioned earlier is the mining of the coin the circulating supply is gynormous
is this working against it?

7404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: YO-EX ---- FAST, RESPONSIVE AND FEATURE PACKED EXCHANGE. on: April 10, 2017, 09:28:05 PM
The site looks amazing, love it.

By the way, you planning on adding more pairs in the future? Right now it's only Yocoin and Yogold against bitcoin and USD, I wonder if you are planning on adding pairs like ETH against YOC and XMR against YOC etc.

agree with you, if the website add more pair like eth or other coins their volume in a day will be increase and many people will try this website

Im not surprised for their alts added since this exchange is owned by yocoin management and maybe if they can see how worthy will be if they add some alts in their exchange. But for now lets just see how this exchange goes since they are new and need more exposure first so that they can get more valued trader who will try to exchange at them.

Yes I agree, so far its an exchange for YoCoin and YoGold, there will need to be
a bigger range of trade-able coins going forward. YoGold is the newer of the coins so
it may have potential and should help YoCoin along - maybe.

As yo-ex, yocoin and yogold are of the same family the graphic design of all three is
of a similar theme which is fantastic! Its a pity visitors have to create an account to
view the exchange.

When you log into the site you are offered two factor authentication, funds cannot be
lodged to the exchange without it. So the proper security features are present from
the start.

It would be a better idea if you let lesser rank people into this with lesser pay, you may get more output from that. I don't think any hero or legendary member will try for your campaign..  Roll Eyes

I might be interested as my first signature campaign if you consider
Lower ranked users.........
7406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New and cheap coins with potenial? on: April 09, 2017, 08:54:17 AM
I just read the entire thread and no mention of belacoin?

I think they need some marketing done!

Interesting coin with plans to compete with instagram.
They will soon (april 13) be pitching to one of the largest.
Venture capital funds in the world........

They. Also have the ambia development team on board.
Which i believe is a very reputable development team.

Current price is still low!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1373100.0.

There you go thats my input.
But as you can see im new around here !!!!
Being new doesn’t mean you don’t know what you are doing. I am almost a veteran here (been here since early 2013) and I still didn’t know Bela worked with ambia, that is a huge sign for Bela’s future if you ask me. Congratz on your research man, not that many new people do their research before posting stuff.

Is Belacoin the coin a guy named after his daughter? Did it used to be called Bellacoin? I think I remember it from a couple of years ago, or even more. It seems to have transformed itself. I didn't think he was even serious before.

7407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC round 2 begins? on: April 08, 2017, 09:14:42 PM

What do you think about this? chinese mafia already filled bags and time for the segwit hype to continue?

Can we get LTC with segwit before BTC deploys UASF and gets segwit?

Millions still to be made with a possible LTC ATH or at least a big 200% pump?

Let's find out.

Amazing what a tweet can do from a guy with a big reputation good or bad
so far it just goes to show how whales feed off panic, the key is to hold tight [and pray]  Grin

I dont have a great amount of funds to transfer into crypto so what little I do
put in I do with caution. There are over 700 alt "coins" all proclaiming to do something
different to the next. So you gotta find out what they propose to do and take it from there!
7409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC round 2 begins? on: April 08, 2017, 09:07:48 PM
The beauty and Health in LTC is also that everyone expect a huge crash any day now, Bringing  in fact a lot of health to LTC with room to liquidate short and feed on bad trade.

can you elaborate on the "hugh crash" part ?

.....a lot done more to do !!

This is brilliant though and shows that Tokyo anyway is closer to real every day
buying and selling in BTC eventhough its still a bit like a mystery tour and
a lot of googling and of course getting the all important decimal point in the
right place!!

very interesting, thanks for posting.

They'll continue signaling but will pull out before activation.

Why? What is the point of signalling and then pulling out? Makes no sense.

Mining fees, and lots of them as people rush have rushed to get a slice of the action.
Ltc back to .00828000 we might see another rally = more fees, its a game now
7415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who else is tired of this shit? on: April 07, 2017, 12:26:46 PM
How do you justify the blatant BS linked above (your quote of me) wherein the Chinaman deliberately says some BS to crash the LTC price?

thats one tool in a pool of many. seen Americans (famous Bitcoin is a failed experiment line), Russians, Japanese all do the same bitcoin/crypto over its history.

That is why we need an altcoin wherein the hodlers aren't speculating. They are using the tokens for something in which they have no desire to speculate with them.

With that wide base of transaction use which doesn't care about the exchange value, the manipulators will not be able to have much impact.

As I said, I have some ideas about how to make whales impotent. Traders won't like it, but long-term HODLers are going to love it, because it is deflationary, which is even better than Bitcoin (i.e. the coin supply will shrink forever never reaching 0).

you know traders or even greed isn't always a negative, there can be win win economic scenario's where greed and speculation is a positive driving force.

though in crypto atm i would agree many traders/manipulators are behaving like chickens without heads and going for personal profit without any thought to the entire ecosystem. however that often goes with the territory, tis just in the wild west phase atm.

Like halving a determined distance at every step............the two points in theory bever meet,
A bit mind bending, but interesting nonetheless
7416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who else is tired of this shit? on: April 07, 2017, 11:58:30 AM
Hello Smiley

Well not to sound harsh but ..

Yeah I think it's obvious by now what the world of crypto is coming at.

It's not going to help third world country to fight corruption in the financial world, or help micro economy.  It's just another toy millionere use to grab more millions from more people with gray area financial tactic in this unregulated world.

Crypto today are probably the most corrupt financial network. It's all about who you know rather than what you know. All about loyalty, not integrity.

If you know anything about real economics, you can say today 90% of it's value is a speculative bubble.

Can always pretend there is an hidden hand following market logic, but it's not the case, neither it's about investment in innovation, or for structueal development, it's all about clique making shady move for their own personal profits.

You can always try to understand the stake holders and mining farms and shakers and movers to put your stash on the right coin at the right moment, but it looks like italian football bet, french underground boxing bet.

All rigged up and you cant win big if you dont know who has stash involved. And it's not about knowing sport performance anymore. No more than it's about if coin is better than another.

For most people bitcoin is just a "get richer quick on the internet" scheme.

No need to beat around the bush for ever.

And im not even saying this to imply then what you do about it other than being angry about it on the Internet, or Go make your own Smiley

But need to face what crypto are today. It's not about technical innivation , or fixing financial world, developping micro economy, or any of this.

when printed in black and white this outlook is really sad
and it is looking more and more like this to me
so much for an alternative to the FIAT system which we are all still tied to
nope it seems just as corrupt

"1.Introduction
Commerce on the Internet has come to rely almost exclusively on financial institutions serving as
trusted third  parties  to process electronic payments.   While the  system works  well enough for
most   transactions,   it   still   suffers   from   the   inherent   weaknesses   of   the   trust   based   model.
Completely non-reversible transactions are not really possible, since financial institutions cannot
avoid   mediating   disputes.     The   cost   of   mediation   increases   transaction   costs,   limiting   the
minimum practical transaction size and cutting off the possibility for small casual transactions,
and   there   is   a   broader   cost   in   the   loss   of   ability   to   make   non-reversible   payments   for   non-
reversible services.  With the possibility of reversal, the need for trust spreads.  Merchants must
be wary of their customers, hassling them for more information than they would otherwise need.
A certain percentage of fraud is accepted as unavoidable.  These costs and payment uncertainties
can be avoided in person by using physical currency, but no mechanism exists to make payments
over a communications channel without a trusted party.
What is needed is an electronic payment system based on cryptographic proof instead of trust,
allowing any two willing parties to transact directly with each other without the need for a trusted
third  party.    Transactions  that  are  computationally  impractical  to   reverse   would  protect  sellers
from fraud, and routine escrow mechanisms could easily be implemented to protect buyers.   In
this paper, we propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer distributed
timestamp server to generate computational proof of the chronological order of transactions.  The
system   is   secure   as   long   as   honest   nodes   collectively   control   more   CPU   power   than   any
cooperating group of attacker nodes."

Im a newbie when it comes to crypto, im still learning and there is a lot.
Which i dont understand, and probably never will. There are things
Which are just too technical for me.

But this shit which has recently been uncovered im tired of already.

I doesnt surprise me one bit, it happens every day.

I thought cryptocurrencies was very simple and straight forward.
Obviously not, there are people ready to take advantage, cheat, con and manipulate,
Busines as usual and one of the ugly human traits - it sickens me.

Would love to see the goal posts moved and the rug pulled fro under them
7418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Belacoin - Supercharging entrepreneurship with the power of the blockchain on: April 06, 2017, 09:49:59 PM
This looks all so promising.  As an avid Instagram user I am very excited to see this project come to fruition and what a great way to introduce crypto to the masses.  Well done.

Yes very good point about introducing a potentially new concept
to people who otherwise are oblivious to crypto.

Interesting concept
