^ Was just about to say I've seen this exact same loan request before here. Was wondering if it was a copypasta, but yeah, probably not dank (don't think he's into EDM or put this much thought into it ).

He used an alternative account to try extort someone and it was found out the account belonged to Candystripes.
I keep hearing about " alt" accounts, what's the point of having more than 1 acc? I don't get it. Maybe you could pretend to be a woman on one in order to scam There are many valid and invalid reasons for having alt accounts. You can have one for business and one for personal, you can use them for signature campaigns, you can use one to post opinions that you may not want associated with your main account, you can have one that you use from untrusted connections/computers etc. And then there's the bad uses like ban evasion or using them to scam or troll etc. As per forum rules though you can have as many as you wish.

I have seen accounts becoming members before 2.5 months. Is there another rule for promotion?
You need to have posted in five activity periods to become a Member so if you time it right you can get there a little quicker than two and a half months. For instance, the new activity period starts tomorrow so you could sign up today and get 14 points and another 14 tomorrow, so you would become a Member on the 20th of Jan providing you posted in all the periods and made the right amount of posts. You could also just make one post in each of the five periods then make the rest up later and you would instantly rank up from a Newbie to a Member within a day.

I believe this is tantamount to trust buying. I had loanees who requested me to give positive trust, and not only I refused their request I warned them of the possibility as being marked as trust buyers. ....
So at the end is it forbidden ? As Badbear said it's not forbidden but most people think trying to buy/encourage/ask for trust is very frowned upon, but you can take each incident on a case by case basis, but what people leave feedback for is largely up to the individual user and this type of behavior is for the community to police. I don't think this is the worst case of trust abuse so I think taking this thread as a warning (or at the most a neutral trust) would suffice and hopefully conteaza has learned where he went wrong. I believe this is tantamount to trust buying. I had loanees who requested me to give positive trust, and not only I refused their request I warned them of the possibility as being marked as trust buyers.
I think the vast majority of people taking (and sometimes those giving) the loans do so to build up feedback. Jeez tantamount to trust buying? I assume you're not known with how hard BB are made. All I asked was a small favour in return to one of my secrets
It does not matter if it was hard or easy. You asked for trust in exchange for something. That is equivalent to trust buying. redsn0w should be commended for bringing it to light instead of agreeing to it. The problem he has asked me a positive feed. but I'm not in the defaultTrust list so at the end my "feedback" doesn't count anything and especially "it is not seen". Just because someone is not on DefaultTrust doesn't make their feedback discountable and it is still seen under 'untrusted' which doesn't mean 'worthless'. A person can always get put on the default trust at a later date as well which will instantaneously make their feedback 'green'. Feedback is always worth something and can help you make up your mind about a user. If people can see you have done many trades this could also help people in deciding whether to put you on the default trust list themselves.

This is because you do not control the private keys.
Yes you do. Are you sure all of those other sites that are listed let you control your own keys tad well?

Always? Why do they wait for the World Cup or special sporting event and not gamble everyday if it's a viable income? Saying that, I did win over £1000 from a bankroll of £100 during the World Cup but it was definitely just look and wouldn't be sustainable.

Sluts are awesome. You should try being one. So much fun. That looks like Spidey is trying to climb out of a dogs arsehole. Worst thread of 2014
Yeah. Op is trying to 'skill his trolling' here but he isn't doing a very good job.

You can try PM-ing Blazedout419 instead. He's been logged in today. Yep just send me a message...I am partners with Nightowlace and Alex. LoL my plan of making Nightowlace handle this didn't work as he is ark for a bit.

I've also been given negative trust, and I've never scammed. Although I did do something wrong, it has nothing to do with my profile or my trust. Oh well, it's just a profile on a forum if you think about it.
What did you do candystripes? He attempted to extort someone on an alt account. And just because you wern't successful in your scam doesn't mean you aren't a scammer. What DannyHamilton said also stands. Most people here don't trust you or think you're untrustworthy and your feedback reflects this.

I'm sure it's intentional just like 'staff/moderator' and trust showing up in certain sections.

Yeah i hopefully too, but it seems like about the security of blockchain, because many complain about losing bitcoin in blockchain wallet. That's very unlikely due to an issue on blockchain.info's end. People lose coins because of their own fault most of the time. Blockchain.info seems to be probably the most secure of all web wallets so not sure why it's been delisted exactly. If people losing coins through their own lack of security is a reason to remove them then best remove all the others and any exchanges they recommend as well.

Hello, I've seen many people requiring an escrow.. So far from what I've observed escrows are middle men who keep the other party's barter until the other one fulfills the deal.
I'd like to become an escrow some day but what are the requirements and how long would it take to be a good escrow?
and if you can earn from escrow-ing?
Here is a list of escrow, if u r looking for one => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0I'm not looking for an escrow, but I'm interested in becoming one, some day Why are you interested in becoming an escrow one day? The majority of the time people who set out to want to be an escrow do it for all the wrong reasons. You need to become incredibly trusted over time and you do that by doing trades yourself and being an active member of the community. In my opinion the minimum rank you should be before offering such services is a Senior Member but even that only takes eight months to achieve so I'd say a Hero Member ideally, but you must also be very active and trusted with money and have done many successful trades too. You can make a little money from escrowing but it's usually only tiny amounts or for tips and there's plenty of free escrows who've been doing it a long time so not sure why people would pay to use a newer one. It's not really a viable business and is done more so to help the community and get the occasional tip for your service.

Always just report the one post with an explanation to check out the rest. Reporting every single one is unnecessary and far too time consuming for both the reporter and staff to handle.

The other option is offering weekly payments then at least they can prove they will pay out pretty quickly and if they do scam then you've only given them a weeks worth of advertising. However, some deals have paid out for the first couple/few weeks then eventually scammed so it's not a guarantee but I suppose any deal could eventually not pay for whatever reasons.

Does it matter? Its his forum and his liability, he's free to choose what he allows or doesn't in terms of advertising. He doesn't need a concrete reason.
True, but people are also free to ask questions regarding the decision (whether theymos chooses to respond or not). I think denying bids is always going to raise intrigue and curiosity as to why, especially when the company doesn't appear to be doing anything wrong (that we know of) and there's much more questionable ads that get accepted without any problems. I'd personally like to know why they were rejected but theymos is under no obligation to provide any reasoning if he doesn't want to, like you say.

I don't see much alt coin stuff spilling into other sections and when it does it's minor and handled pretty quickly. What I like about having the alt section is at least everything is kept (largely) quarantined in there. If we didn't have it people would still post alt coin stuff here. Whilst your suggestion could work I don't think it will happen and just seems like actually creating more hassle and work for the staff to be honest.
