That was a tough time for Bitcoin. Its popularity suddenly exploded because of the Silk Road shutdown. Prior to that, Bitcoin was certainly something only few people new, but this was its first publicity, and it wasn't a good one. So it's natural that with black markets as the main use cases and the FBI doing its best to shut them down, Bitcoin could seem like something that will be shut down or will just die out because of being useless. And even on that video, not everyone is against Bitcoin. For instance, a Wall Street professional Nick Colas says 'it's a fascinating experiment'. It was interesting to watch, thanks op.
It's funny that you can see Roger Ver in the video as well, back then he will still a proponent.
Obviously, the price did change a lot, but I'm talking about the misconception about bitcoin specially by social media giants. And it only goes to show that the growth was not smooth sailing. Many discredit it back then, but bitcoin has move forward. We may see the same attacks in the media for the next 10 years again, but bitcoin has already proven that they are all wrong.

Right, you're not alone, I'm sure a lot of gamblers here in this community has that itch to go back into their gambling habits. You need to get your mind out of it, definitely a struggle, but if you have the will power then for sure you can do it. Learn new skills might be a good idea, and try it with your family so that it will be more healthier mentally. And once you mastered on how to overcome the struggles, you will adapt to it. Best of luck.

Right, there are really a lot of boards that a newbie should explore, specially if you are here to learn and share your knowledge. I would suggest that Development & Technical Discussion and Bitcoin Technical Support. Yes, I know it could be overwhelming for a beginner but you can educate yourself specially about bitcoin by just being a lurker. You don't necessarily need to post, just read and browse discussions and try to absorb the knowledge very slowly. You can bookmark the thread as well, so you can go back and read again. I read a some of Legendaries saying that they started here first being a lurker before they started to post. And that's how they grow in this community.

Here is another bitcoin generator, be careful we are approaching halving, maybe newbies think that they can simply earn free bitcoin.
|
|
|
I have a feeling that people buying bitcoin just because of the halving are going to be a little disappointed.
The market has a way of doing the entire opposite of what majority expects and this is because we refuse to answer of what happens when everyone buys the bottom.
That's bitcoin market for you, when you think that the price will go on a parabolic rise, it will go on the opposite direction, nothing surprises me at all. I have seen this kind of movement before. So you either swim with them, or die along the way if you go against the current. I don't know why alot of people seem to worry so much about bitcoin investment, either the halving happens today or tomorrow, bitcoin is bullish on the longterm.
Do your own research and expect tge market to change its game.
They are worried because it is money they playing with. Greed, someone's desire to make more money in the market is short amount of time. Majority here are irrational and doesn't think of bitcoin in the long term. Yes, I agree with DYOR, very important, not just in bitcoin but in every market as well.

WBC (World Boxing Council) headed by Mauricio Sulaiman of Mexico, is thinking are explorer the possibility of using remote scoring if ever they will have a sanctioned bout in this Covid-19 pandemic. The WBC is attempting to do its part to limit its number of onsite personnel. The “Remote Official Judging” rollout calls for its officials score WBC-sanctioned bouts either live from home or in a secluded area elsewhere, in lieu of being seated ringside on three separate sides of the ring as is normal industry standard. Judges will be required to wear headphones under such a plan, with the workflow as follows:
- Judges access live video/audio of the fight - Judges and WBC Supervisor log into a secure WBC portal - Judges score each round in real-time - Commission and WBC Supervisor finalize results and hand to ring announcer - WBC Supervisor transposes electronic scores to hard copy master sheet - Scores feed to site admin consolidated report
https://www.boxingscene.com/wbc-explores-possibility-remote-scoring-upcoming-sanctioned-bouts--148698Of course, there are still a lot of concerns here, but maybe, just maybe this will work if ever boxing will continue in this crisis. What do you guys think? Is this feasible?

Just sharing this collections of clips from different news media back in the day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G314jRumV_8&Back then they still didn't understand what bitcoin is all about. And all they talk is that it is going to be shutdown by the government and it's just a fad. Moving forward seven years ago, some of them might have change their view or at least this old video is still relevant specially if you're a perma-bear or really hates bitcoin per se. Well they missed a lot!

Proud to see another "kababayan" ranking up and you really deserved it man. The threads that you created are really helpful, not just in our local board, but in the community as well. People here are very appreciative to members who contributed so I wouldn't be surprised to see you reaching Legendary one day.

I would think right now Fury is top of the current crop of heavyweight boxers. Joshua, Wilder, Ruiz and maybe a couple more are in the same bracket. Then lower than that would be the next group.
Right, he is a shoulder above the rest of the current heavyweight right now. Before it was Joshua and Wilder and obviously, they have lost that 0 already and Fury come back and reclaim the belt he won from Wladimir Klitschko. But what happened to him after that big win was history (mental breakdown, alcoholism etc). So he was really on top already prior to the breakdown and those belts that both Joshua and Wilder has was his in the first place since and he was strip and then vacated the rest of the title.

Nice find @Baofeng! I wonder how long the scammers will continue this. Hi buddy, can you still keep up? LOL! LOL, you spoke to soon, They will continue with this attack vector as long as there are newbies falling for it.

^^ Thanks for updating this thread.
Yes I would consider this a win for Zhan because it was ruled in his favour. I think this is very big win for him and this might pose another road block to Jihan's grand scheme to have full control again. I'm still seeing that this case will be drag for years in China's court and it might take a toll on Bitmain. Lol, at Jihan suing the city, he really thinks that he is untouchable now. I think this will also create a lot of uncertainty within Bitmain itself including their investors.

It must entail a lot of money for Wilder and Pulev to step aside and give way to let the Britons fight each other huh.IMHO, the way i see on his last fight against Ruiz, Joshua's confidence is still not there and making this fight with Fury is not a good idea at the moment. That would be history though but letting a less than 100% Joshua in a history fight is just like depriving boxing fanatics the maximum fun that a boxing fight could give us.
But this all depend on how the greedy promoters negotiate, if they think the Fury vs Joshua would generate huge revenue i think they would push for it.
It is a possibility that we could see Fury and Joshua fighting with the international travel restrictions and the uncertainty about when everything will be sorted it is a high possibility that the fight would happen before the Wilder trilogy, Kubrat Pulev accepted the offer that he would step aside if he gets a good payment and if Wilder accepts that then we will see another one of the biggest fights in boxing. As per this article: https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-promoter-convo-wilder-step-aside-never-taken-place--148638, someone offered them, but it doesn't mean that the fight will happen in Britain, let me quote: "That’s where we are at the moment. There’s been offers made from various countries and organisations to host the fight between Tyson and Anthony Joshua. One of these countries we signed an NDA [Non-Disclosure Agreement] with, which I can’t go into. When I say me, I mean myself, MTK on the behalf of Top Rank and I know Matchroom signed an NDA as well. And for this fight to really happen, all the parties should agree to everything though, not just how much step aside money Wilder or Pulev will get. Managers, organisers, TV's everything, so it will take a lot of effort just to shoot down the trilogy and push Fury vs Joshua here. Frank Warren, who along with Top Rank is the promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, agrees with his promotional rival, Eddie Hearn, when it comes to rejecting speculation that negotiations have begun for a fight between Fury and unified champion Anthony Joshua. So I think the trilogy will still push through, obviously, it is rescheduled later or early next year and then they can sit down with the next best option for Joshua vs Wilder/Fury.

I agree with Odesk o Upwork na ang tawag ngayon.
I'll try to login to my Odesk account ulit at sisilipin ko nga, baka may jobs na mag fit parin sakin kahit wala na ako ng matagal dun.

19 votes so far and I'm not surprised that gamblers here chooses option 2 because of it's security features. I also voted for that too, because it gives me control, and as far as 2FA goes, hackers are advancing, they can intercept it already. So I prefer to have key base, I think the pros outweigh the cons here.

Regarding virustotal, may qualms din si Theymos tungkol dito: virustotal is trash. It can't be used as "proof" of malware, only a very vague hint. It is mighty suspicious when someone posts a binary without source which you're supposed to run as root, though.
Although ginagamit ko rin naman to sa pag check ng mga scams specially yun relations nila to confirm yung IP address. Kung ito ba ang binabahayan ng mga scammers/hackers o criminal. Example: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/ip-address/<insert ip address of suspected scam sites here>/relations
