Nah.  "Technical difficulties" is a standard tool in the arsenal of ePonzi.
+1 creativity for running suspendedpage.cgi, though -- i'm impressed.

^Nah, but they also won't do anything about it.
7468  Other / Meta / Re: Why on earth is bitcointalk running adds for a pyramid scheme ? on: March 13, 2014, 01:07:36 PM
...
I want the freedom to make an informed decision about whether or not to join a pyramid program. I don't want anybody telling me I can't. I want freedom, and if I hurt myself in my freedom, that's my business.

The banks are ripping EVERYBODY off. and they are working as hard as they know how to keep on doing it. If Bitcoin pyramids were promoted with full understanding, they would virtually destroy the banking system overnight. The bankers know this, and send their trolls into forums to badmouth pyramids in general.

...it doesn't make sense to run at this time...

If they're going to run with the money...

If you understood how scams worked, you wouldn't be "invested" in this one, and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

They can.  They won't.  In the land of the blind, the guy who claims to have one eye is king.

...I am convinced that decentralized/voluntary/anarchistic forms of societal organization are far superior to centralized forms in terms of their efficiency...

This is not, nor has it been in recent history, a reality.  The fact that such arrangements have never persisted is, in itself, proof of their implausibility.  A world where there is no crime, for instance, is superior to a world where crime exists.  But such an ideal is as implausible as the utopian volunteerism you describe.

Huh? What utopian volunteerism?  Are you hallucinating or am I sleeping?  Both?

Nah, not unless you type in your sleep.  And unless you're ErisDiscordia's alt account, you are also not being spoken to.  But since you weighed in...  What is it that's bothering you?

This is a new account with 6min. post limit, so shoot for coherency in your reply.

Kneel down, Active Miners!  Ye that hath sealed thine ears with wax to hear not His Word!

Ah, the boisterous talk of yesteryear...

So, just sit back and watch as we put this project together, start paying dividends from our ASICminer fund, the purchased Avalon's, and
our ASIC 45nm chip that we can get prototypes in a 5-10 week time-frame after delivering them our RTL.

Dividends?  Tell me what part of this is generating revenue.
Was deleted.  I'm genuinely curious.  They keep asking for dividends in that thread.  What part of the whole ActM ..mess.. is generating revenue to pay divs?

You have to understand that Ken Slaughter has a different interpretation of the word "profit."
He gives us a clue in his last post, when he claims that Active Mining hasn't lost any money, VMC has.
Quote
VMC [has lost] 453 BTC from Pre-Orders.  No Active Mining BTC was lost.
Stick with me here...

"AMC is a virtual identity totally owned by the Active Mining Corporation (Belize) that represents both itself and its profits. AMC's business includes cryptocoin mining and sales of self-built ASIC devices through its wholly owned subsidiary Virtual Mining Corporation (VMC)."1

...so whatever money VMC pays out to ActM is "profit," while losses and liabilities are shuffled to VMC.
3. ? ? ?
4. PROFIT!

@Augusto Croppo re. level of delusion:  The human mind is a wonderful thing.  When confronted by a problem it is unable to solve, the outcome of which is inevitably catastrophic, it gracefully errors out -- by not acknowledging the problem.  Similar to blacking out from pain.  Life affirming = minimal doloric value with identical end result.

Back on topic:

1.  What has changed after the "branch opening" on the 24th?
2.  Does anyone have a NeoBee account?
3.  Are there live ATMs?
4.  Did any money, crypto or otherwise, change hands?
5. Did cryptocyprus make any announcements since the promise to "make full update tomorrow" on Feb 25?  Perhaps teh mods accidentally his posts?
thx.
