Because chinese are in holiday.
one would think that a simple program can take care of this, no personnel presence needed.

Trading starts Thursday, but what is the point of Gemini, really? Maybe options?
Unless they have free or almost free trades at Gemini, I can get bitcoin on Coinbase, which would, hopefully, lower their higher trade costs.
the point of Gemini is: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fencrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com%2Fimages%3Fq%3Dtbn%3AANd9GcQJQxKMHSyrYmvCE-m0yXXTzbL6MybD65s9ti8tvRB6_HCQJ1Zd&t=663&c=Pv8vPUHcarqcIA) and why INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR cannot get bitcoin elsewhere?

While we are talking about volatility, Gemini is up for invitations at least. Trading starts Thursday, but what is the point, really? Unless they have free or almost free trades, I can get bitcoin on Coinbase, which would, hopefully, lower their higher trade costs.

1. I am not aware of any datacenter that will charge you only 5c/kwh. 2. We don't know the price of SP50. Without this piece of info, nothing can be calculated. 3. Someone has to show that an actual machine routinely reaches 110 Th and stays there.

Yeah but that dosen't mean that we are going to be rich or anything , I don't think Halving block reward will do much (at least not the one of the next year) . However I think that the Gemini exchange (by the twins) will do something in Bitcoin for sure .
why would it? there is already an institutional itbit exchange in NY.

Had another urge to buy a miner. A Batch 3 S7. Decided to do this again, instead. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FxO8Axnl.png&t=663&c=VPGqk6VGcb-UPA) PACMiC v4 looks to be a loser. Good luck everyone. I was reading the PACMiC v4 and it disturbed me that it was still based on S5 hash and power rates. pacmic 4 is so much worse than pacmic 3. i will wait until they have something based on s7 at more reasonable prices.

Do you have all the cables?
thx! mav
yes, of course.

well, last i look, in some states you have to pay tax on amazon, so in TX, for example, it is $88.75 including tax for CX750 and 67.02 for CX500 I am selling CX750M for $65 offered and CX500M (practically new) for $55 PLUS a $100 coupon for antminer S7 if you buy any two PSU (first pair only or three or all four). If this is not a good deal, I don't know what is. However, I've got only one coupon, so only the first who buys at least two gets it.

check out your own choice, Phil. aren't it supposed to end with .25, not .35?

maybe i should just follow Xian1... and get BTC instead. Wifie is arguing that she needs my 'mining' room to do her studies and after hours work. I generally follow the "happy wife, happy life" rule, but maybe I could wiggle out of it somehow...no ideas apart from a rose colored iPhone so far, which is kind of lame.

looks like a US plug tucked away there at the side...why do we need an extra usa adapter for $1 usd then?
clipped image
its a good question. I actually beleive that you do not need the adapter. look at it: clipped image It looks like it adds a grounding pin, but otherwise serves no purpose (that grounding effect wont transfer to the R1 AFAIK) Is it just me? That plug does not look like it fits that adaptor. it will probably fit: see those two vertical slits in the bottom row. however, i suggest to order without, then just go to target, best buy, home depot, etc. to get one.

Once mining is out of the general public's hands we'll be in the "Early Adopter" stage. We are still the "lunatic fringe" slowly getting to become 'innovators' Say, 1 mil bitcoiners is still 0.015% of Earth's population or 0.1% of OECD countries.

I'm running my S7 @ stock speed @ 2500rpm fans @ 30C ambient without issue. Its not inconceivable that one might be able to do the same after replacing fans given a lower ambient. Also worth remembering that both the ASICMiner Tube and Prisma cooled ~1KW through a longer heatsink using a single fan. And in the case of the ASICMiner Tube it was possible to replace the fan with 2x Corsair SP120s which are quite a way under the NF-F12s.
interesting...what is % setting and its boards temp? thanks 30% fans, 66C highest board. doubly interesting, so you don't think that going this high is troublesome? I thought in S5 you wanted to stay lower than this (it least initially, AFAIR). If i can go to 2500 and even 3000rpm, I can definitely host another S7 [Your quote is derped]. No I don't have any indication that going that high is troublesome. They wouldn't have chosen an 80C shutdown if 70, 80 or even 90C was the "turns to sludge" point. fixed

well, if I may (as it is >300 objectively)
+3.26 to +3.50 please
If i was too early, sorry.

good going it looks like you are going for batch #2(slow) instead of #3. May I ask why as i also consider ordering another one? Are you planning to see if you can bump it up in speed somehow? Otherwise, i think that people might not favor it in the aftermarket.
