7481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 22, 2018, 04:42:30 PM
How true was it that less than 50k people watched Real Madrid's game last weekend?  I guess Real has to get a replacement for Ronaldo quick.  Lol.

There are to names on top of my head that could be good replacements, Neymar and Hazard.
Low number of spectators wasn't caused by departure of Ronaldo. There was only 50k spectators in Barca match. Both matches started very late in evening, it ended 00:15 AM in local time when there are no public transport available, also both teams played against not most powerful opponents. This is why many people decided not to go to the match.
I don't think that Neymar would be great replacement for Ronaldo, but anyway, Real stated that they won't buy Neymar. It seems that Perez wont find replacement for Ronaldo until the end of this transfer window.
7482  Other / Meta / Re: Altcoin Discussion section can change name to Trash discussion on: August 21, 2018, 08:30:10 PM
It was shitty year or two ago, but now it's indeed trash discussion. Now it's almost impossible to find real conversations there. Pretty much same situation on Bitcoin Discussion board and Economics. It's full of generic shitposts made by signature spammers and bots. And it's getting worse and worse day by day. Worst part of it that mods don't have power to change something here. And according to last post of theymos, there will be no significant changes in near future - it seams that he don't want to add suggested restrictions which may help to increase quality of posts in these boards.

TheQuin, if it's not a secret, where are you from? Just curiuos.
Why does it matters? Anyway, open his profile and you will see his Location - London. But I have no idea why do you need to know it...
7484  Other / Meta / Re: There are any subdomain for Bitcointalk ? on: August 20, 2018, 08:25:39 PM
It's probably best known Bitcointalk phishing website. There is one difference from original website - on login page you will see invalid captcha key, so it's impossible to login to phishing website. Don't try to fill your login data there, if you have done it - change your password immediately.
Maybe it's not totally related to this topic, but I can tell short story about "alternative" domain of Bitcointalk. 3 or 4 years ago when I still didn't had account on this forum I saw one user saying that Bitcointalk have alternative domain. He said that it was created because Bitcointalk.org is banned in China and maybe in Russia, so domain was made for users from these countries. But in reality Bitcointalk have only one original domain - Bitcointalk.org.
7485  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: How freebitco.in earn? on: August 20, 2018, 08:04:51 PM
Hi everyone, I have two questions about freebitco.in:

how freebitco.in earn with our free click and other operations?

If site go offline what can we do?

Are there sites like freebitco.in about ETH or other crypto?

Thanks
Hi,
Freebitco.in don't earn from users who are using faucet because there are no advertisements on their website. Their main source of income is gambling - users who deposit BTC and lose it. These money are used to pay to faucet users, lottery prizes and reward points and offcourse profit to website owner.
If site go offline, only thing that you can do - wait until they return.
They also have Dogecoin faucet Freedoge.co.in, but in future it will be merged with Bitcoin faucet and it will be called Crypteer.com. They also will add Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and maybe some other altcoins.
7486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 20, 2018, 07:37:53 PM
Red Bul announced that Pierre Gasly will replace Ricciardo in next season. Well, I can't call it as suprise. Gasly is young driver with good potential, but it's obvious that he will be No. 2 in the team.
LTU_btc...  I think I'll be owing you 20 bucks anytime soon now.  But I'm still rooting for Max Verstappen to get more points this season vs Ricciardo to breakeven.  Wink
Everything is still possible, only 13 pointsbetween them. And I would predict that in rest part of the season will mainly focus on Max car when they know that Ricciardo will leave team after end of season.

And by the way, after one month summer break F1 finally returns in upcoming weekend in legendary Spa track.

7488  Other / Meta / Re: [Guide] Bitcointalk account security on: August 19, 2018, 09:28:17 PM
Thanks for making this very detailed guide about Bitcointalk account security. I hope that people will use your advices to secure their accounts.. I see that you mentioned my name in your article Smiley. Well, I'm so happy that Cyrus recovered my account so fast. But at the same time I'm feeling so sad for users who are waiting long months or years for account recovery. I hardly can imagine their feelings. Unfortunately, in recent months I haven't saw users who regained access to their accounts. It seems that admins stopped to recover accounts. But theymos said that he are making automated account recovery system, I hope that he will release it soon and users will get chance to get their accounts back.
7489  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: trezor or ledger nano for a beginner ?... on: August 19, 2018, 09:16:13 PM
As I understand, you mainly need hardware wallet just for BTC? Then I would say that both wallet are good for you. Prices of both wallets are similar, so you wont feel big difference. Both are really safe.
Personally, I use Nano S and I'm satisfied with it. When they released Ledger Live app now it's perfect wallet for me.
7490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Help! Jr. Member on: August 19, 2018, 09:04:50 PM
In the bitcointalk forum you can do a lot of things, such as bounty tasks, signatures, airdrops, etc., which can help you make a considerable profit!
You forgot to mention most important thing - discussions about Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. Oh no, I forgot that some people come to Bitcointalk just to earn money. They don't care about discussions, learning about crypto and etc. They just came here to earn as much as possible with minimal efforts...
7491  Other / Meta / Re: reCAPTCHAs on: August 19, 2018, 04:46:46 PM
Cleaning of cookies may help, but it's only temporary solution.
Until now I found only one solution which works - when I have to solve ReCaptcha I always log out from my Google account. Now I don't have to struggle to solve Recaptcha anymore.
7492  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What's the best cryptocurrency wallet that you can trust? on: August 18, 2018, 11:37:59 PM
Ledger Nano S is my first choice. For me it's best and safest wallet. It's perfect choice for long term storage, but it's also good for daily use.
On mobile I use Coinomi. It's probably best wallet for smartphones. And I love this wallet because they support huge number of currencies. Best thing that soon their will launch their app for PC's.
I also use Blockchain.com online wallet. It's not my first choice and I don't keep big amounts of BTC there. I keep some BTC only for my daily needs when I need to access my funds fast and easy. As users above said, it's not goid idea to use web wallet as main storage of funds.
And I use Coinbase, lol. Yeah, I know that they aren't Bitcoin wallet at all. But maybe I just feel some sentiments to Coinbase, because it was my first Bitcoin "wallet" Cheesy. But, guys, don't use Coinbase as wallet. It's just an exchange or so called Bitcoin bank.
7493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool on: August 18, 2018, 03:45:06 PM
A couple players have some concerns about the lack of 'privacy' in Superbru and want a predictor site like what BBC had.  I suggest somebody find a better site and suggest it to hilarious.

Tbh I really don't mind Superbru's lack of 'privacy' but I don't mind playing in a BBC predictor-esque site either.  I just don't want some players leaving the pool.

Edit:  Btw I'm in.
I used Champions league predictor on uefa.com website in previous seasons. So, we can try it if some people don't like Superbru. I'm only not sure is it possible to create closed leagues on Uefa.com.
But I don't know what is exeactly wrong with Superbru?

7495  Economy / Services / Re: [For Hire] Bitcointalk posts writer on: August 18, 2018, 12:01:26 PM
If you are really good poster as you describe yourself, why you just don't join signature campaign/bounty? You can make really nice amount of money from it...
100 posts per day? It seems way too much. I don't believe that you can make 100 quality posts per day.
And even if someone will hire you, what guarantees you are offering?
Instead of being paid shill, I would friendly suggest to try some freelancing websites or write articles and get paid.
7496  Other / Meta / Re: [THE LUCKY LIST] Just the right amount of MERIT on: August 17, 2018, 11:03:03 PM
Wow, such analysis, much wow. I think it's shows that Merit system really works. You analysed one spammy thread. And these users got only airdroped Merits according to their rank, they didn't managed to earn any real Merits in 7 months. Why they didn't earned? Because they are making low quality posts  in spam megathreads. Why someone should Merit their posts? I would predict that mostly of these users still don't even know that Merit system exists because they haven't spent any of their sMerit. Shortly, these users not deserved to rank up. They didn't got Merit not because it's too difficult to earn it, they didn't got it because they are spammers.

Hello dear shiba  Grin
I didn't track their messages on other threads so i can't comment.
Please link me a better thread to analyze. Possibly with no more than 10 pages  Grin
I don't know, just open another random thread from Bitcoin Discussion board and you will see much more users stuck with 10, 100, 250, 500 or 1000 airdroped merit. My point that's it not too difficult to earn Merit, they just haven't made Merit worthy posts.

I want more sources, especially for local sections. This user is correctly asking to be a french source and being ignored since february . is it right? its the merit system perfect??? i don't think so.

84 sources for 2 mln users is simply ridiculous. it's like 0.0042%... not even real society is that bad
This isn't completely correct. 1,4 of all users are Brand New accounts. It means that they haven't made even single post or their accounts were nuked. So, number of active Bitcointalk users is much smaller. But I would agree that there are not enough Merit sources. On the other hand, some of current Merit sources complaining that it's difficult to find Merit worthy posts and they are struggling to spend their monthly sMerit.
7497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I wanna get merits on: August 17, 2018, 10:44:01 AM
why i cant send merits for any one ? my sendable merit value is 0
It means that you already spent all your sMerit. When someone will Merit your post you will get 0.5 sMerit for every Merit that you got.

7499  Other / Meta / Re: List of thread should be delete/lock/ban by moderator. on: August 16, 2018, 11:28:54 PM
You posted quote from rules that possible or real scams aren't moderated. Locking of these threads would be moderation. Mods don't have to lock topics just because project is scam. And these users didn't break rules of Bitcointalk and I don't see reasons to ban them. It's enough to red tag them by DT members

Earn BTC is not working for me anymore. I hold more than minimum required amount, but it shows no interest after 08.10... was there any news about it?
It's strange, I'm getting interest without problems. I still didn't got for August 16th, but maybe it's too early, because this day still didn't finished in some time zones Cheesy.
Maybe they are trying to stop botnets and similar abusers by disabling interest to suspicious accounts?
