From the update I got this morning it seems like this problem will be solved at least. They seem to be quite serious about cutting down spam and paying only for quality posts, which is good in my opinion.

Some people are just interested in the stats, and the details are now public, they just want an updated table. It 'giving people nothing' is also debatable as the figures are used to appoint new mods which some people will be interested and eager in becoming.

Nope. You probably know as much as I do at the moment. People can still spam on fixed rate deals but both pay per post and fixed will be fine as long as there's minimum requirements and people are kept an eye on or vetted before they're accepted, which I plan to do. Nothing has been confirmed yet and maybe there will be both a fixed and per post campaign but all we can do is wait and see. I'm sure Stunna will announce details when he's ready.

Passed on to better things?  It's possible that he has in fact died, but he did announce he'd moved on to other things before he disappeared completely so it's likely he just wanted to leave bitcoin to sustain itself, though of course it's still a possibility he has died since.

Not as far as I know, but I agree starting the term on the 1st would be a good idea, but if we miss the 1st of Dec it could start in the new year.

People may be 'forced' to use bitcoin eventually. Fiat has its uses and likely will for a very long time, but it could lose a lot of it's value if mass inflation happens and people could abandon it for other currencies and that's where bitcoin could flourish, though paper money or some other physical currency could still be used for those in the sticks or backwards or something.

Seems like they've been saying that for quite a while now. I'll believe it when I see it though, but this is still encouraging news and at least they look to be eying it up and seeing how they can work with it.

How was that spam? You should read his post again because it seemed to answer your question. Open Bazaar is an alternative marketplace which is what you wanted. There are currently no other viable markets currently so Open Bazaar will likely be the best one to use when it is operational.

Isn't that the same with any President/Prime Minster/Political Party though? Normally they say a lot of shit and promise the world to get into power, then when they do they either don't do it or get bogged down in regulations that they can't implement what they promised. Happens all the time.

The price is always essentially going to be determined by supply and demand so once the demand goes up so should the price theoretically, and I believe bitcoin has only scratched the surface of its usefulness so far, so yes, the price should reflect that at some point in the future. As long as we can keep pushing adoption to the masses, which I'm sure it will achieve over time, the value should follow.
