7561  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I think i bought bitcoin in the early days need help! on: October 08, 2018, 07:56:56 PM
The only website that I know you purchased a "dragon balls z" before is g2a.com so maybe this is the site you are looking for. Also, don't forget about "steam" they are also selling this game, but the problem right now they're no longer support Bitcoin as a payment method so I don't think you can ask for a refund from them since they no longer support Bitcoin.

Anyway, you can try contacting them and ask for a refund, but make sure that you can provide a proof that you purchased "dragon balls z" like transaction ID.
7562  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Credit Card supporting Bitcoin on: October 08, 2018, 07:09:34 PM
There is another list of Debit/Credit card that supports Bitcoin. Since OmegaStarScream posted the old list but not updated I would like to share the other list which is updated so that you can find which provider is trusted and working these days.

You can check it from here  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DRbTeMCzb4UeXI0YlAzBxMc2u2i0cN_17Ql6eMngK6E/edit?usp=sharing
7563  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 - No Red or Green lights - Seems to be working not hashing on: October 08, 2018, 05:24:17 PM
Look at your last log "Fatal Error: some Fan lost or Fan speed low!" it looks like your one fan is damaged I don't know if it is a front or back but it looks like the front fan "get fan[3] speed=480"
If you have extra antminer s9 you can try to replace the fan if it's front or back fan and check the kernel logs if you still getting "Fatal Error: some Fan lost or Fan speed low!"

You can also try to customize the fan speed by following the guide from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2690140.0
7564  Other / Archival / Re: Question About Bounty and KYC??? on: October 07, 2018, 08:07:18 PM
Don't give your ID or important documents from ICO bounties, any ICO that requires KYC is too risky because I heard that they're collecting important documents to use and sell it to the black market. So, if you give your important details on untrusted site or ICO bounties there is a big risk that they can use it for scamming or use it as the representative of a fake project.

So, I suggest you stay away from them and forget about bounties that require KYC verification you can join other ICO project that doesn't need any KYC verification. Honestly, not all ICO projects are legit so, better to buy BTC or other altcoins that listed on the top 100 at CMC.
7565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost Bitcoin on: October 05, 2018, 12:00:55 AM
Is there a small portable version I can download without having to lose windows?

Yes, there is. Some distros have a LiveCD feature which allows you to test the operating system without making any changes to your PC. Create a bootable USB with the ISO you choose and boot from it.
Another way is to download the VirtualBox and install then if you have Linux CD or ISO you can start installing it with VirtualBox but if you don't have any Linux OS you can download it from here http://getintopc.com and you can dowload the VirtualBox from here https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
7566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Weird transaction. Where are all my BTC?! on: October 04, 2018, 11:49:03 PM
I am only one to know my password.
One hour before the transaction, I was on the web to try to download the Utorrent soft, and a little clock app was installed on my pc.
I was thinking about a publicity software, but I open it, and deleted it at once after.
If I understand your awnser,  Navi, I think that this little clock app was probably a virus?
I’m so angry!!
You must try to scan that app if you doubt that software is a virus or malware. Try to use Kaspersky it has a free trial to use and scan your whole computer and that software.

Your mistake here, why did you use utorrent which I think the source of viruses comes from that may affect your PC and randomly uploading any files from your PC to utorrent which I think possible to happen.

Beware on using the utorrent because there are many viruses you can get from their server and also if use this app you should disable the upload option, but I don't know if it can remove the upload or seeding process. So, I think the best you can do is uninstall and scan your PC to quarantine any suspicious files from your PC.
7567  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prediction 2020 - 2021 on: October 03, 2018, 11:36:04 PM
We know that after block halving the price is increased because the supply will be divided by half so the reward from 12.5 BTC will be 6.25 BTC so that the supply is divided by half that may help to push the price higher.

Since bitcoin price is depending on the supply and demand the price of bitcoin after block halving should be increased by half.

This is just my own prediction and this is what I see from the graph that every 4 years that the price of bitcoin increased same happened years ago (2013 and 2017) so this coming 2020 or 2021 we should not miss this year so that before the years come we have prepared and saved more bitcoin and make profit after blockhalving.
7568  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: hashrate one hashboard is 800 g/h and temp is 15 on: October 03, 2018, 10:42:08 PM
Did you try to replace the hashboard cable or swap the cable to other hashboard? Do this first then make sure the socket is clean before you place the cable. Another possible cause is PSU, it might give low power to one of your hashboard, if you have a multitester you can check the PSU if the given power is 12v, then it's fine if not then your PSU is your problem.

Anyway, you can follow this troubleshooting guide from here Possible problems and solutions for S7, S9 (fixed frequency) & L3+
7569  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s9j new, rebooting on: October 03, 2018, 02:52:50 PM
I don't see any error message from kernel logs except for fan "FAN PWM: 40" so it looks like the front fan speed is low compared to normal s9 fan speed. Can you try to change the fan speed to the higher value, 70% or higher might solve your issue. You can follow the guide from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2690140.0

If it doesn't work try to reflash it again with auto_freq firmware. If you still doubt to control board there is a guide that you can follow to fix a corrupted control board you can check it from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2386296.0
7570  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: hash to coins mining loosing coins on: October 02, 2018, 11:46:12 PM
That is why I don't trust and use any pool, which is not well-known. I suggest you to try contacting them via their support using this email poolmaster@hash-to-coins.com and let them know about your issue. I hope they can fix your issues as soon as possible.

Also, like the above said in the meantime use other pools for an alternative like https://www.suprnova.cc/ it has many supported coins available, just make sure to use well-known pools just for the safety of your coins.

And for the last suggestion move this thread to altcoin section to get more suggestions and advise.
7571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best option for 6 s9 antminers on: October 02, 2018, 11:16:54 PM
Did you try to mine in kano.is? Check their thread from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.0

kano.is pool has higher payout with less fee compared to other pool based on what I experienced.

Also, try to mine BCH.  Smiley
7572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which unit we should use, mBTC or satoshi? on: October 02, 2018, 04:09:32 PM
For me, "sat" would be fine because you can easily say it, for example, "0.00100000" in BTC you can call it "100ksat" or "0.00001" in BTC you can call it "1ksat" it's easy to say compared to other units.

Honestly, we can use all units and it depends on us if how do we use it but like the other said I prefer "sat" as a default unit.
7573  Other / New forum software / Re: Responsive forum? on: October 02, 2018, 03:45:14 PM
is the approximate start time of the beta forum?
What do you want to know about the approximate start time of the beta version? Honestly, this https://beta.bitcointalk.org doesn't work anymore.

If you are looking for responsive and mobile friendly you can follow the guide from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4500633.0
7574  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: bither help on: October 01, 2018, 11:52:24 PM
ok i think i know whats happend bither has crashed and overwriten and put a new wallet over the top im trying a deepscan to recover file basic wallet but is there any thing else i can do?
i have the old wallet address
phrase
password

i have a bither backup but it dosnt seem to work if i put the address in i see the old wallet but it dosnt confirm the coins also trying to load it into the bither app ios just crashes it
If you have the phrase you can try to recover it in other wallets like electrum. Let me ask how many words in seed phrase you have?

You can try it with electrum if you had the phrase you can import it and you don't need your password when importing.

Honestly, I don't use this type of wallet it's not well-known wallet but it's listed on bitcoin.org so I advise you to recover it to any trusted wallet like electrum for your bitcoin safe.
7575  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] How to Enable 2FA using Google Authenticator! on: October 01, 2018, 06:34:26 PM
Don't forget to backup secret key because it's very important when you lose your device. Make sure it's well written on the piece of paper or make a backup copy in your USB device or PC.

I just want you to add this method because the android google authenticator doesn't have a backup feature unlike in laptop/PC.
7576  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 1broker shut down, binance or bitfinex next? on: October 01, 2018, 04:52:19 PM
1broker is not a well-known exchange site and honestly, never heard about it. There is some news telling that not only Binance and BitMex would be the next also Kraken.

However, I read some news that major exchanges should not be worrying because 1Broker facing a lot of problems such as money laundering, wire fraud, being an unregistered dealer of securities, and operating an unregistered futures commission merchant charges.  Source from here SEC Charges 1Broker With Securities Fraud as FBI Seizes Domain

If the other major exchanges fail and do not pass the investigation from FBI or if they found that these exchanges have illegal activity as 1broker do, then they will be the next to be shut down by SEC.
7577  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Recover blockchain.info wallet password - 0.5 BTC bounty on: September 30, 2018, 11:50:31 PM
I forgot my password, I do not have a 12-word phrase, but I know the password by 90%!
I got another purse while I was at Blokkchan. I'm trying to get a password for this method, known to me from a new wallet. Says the password was not found. What is the problem? Does this method no longer work?
If you don't have the 12-word phrase you will not be able to recover your account and it is hard to guess if what is the remaining 10% in your password.
You have a 10% chance to recover it by guessing the 10% password of your account.
I suggest you try every possible password that you use before in the history if this doesn't work there is no other way than using 12-word seed.
7578  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s9 login help on: September 30, 2018, 11:00:55 PM
Is there another password for SSH login, because I cannot logged in with admin on my s9?

If you are having difficulty logging in SSH and Browser just reset the miner and then use "Admin" or "admin" as username and "root" as password.

Anyway, if you don't know how to hard reset the miner you can follow the guide from here Three Ways to Restore Factory Settings (R4/S9/T9)
7579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Crash on: September 29, 2018, 11:20:06 PM
If you heard that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are dying or dead it just a theory and I heard this many times every year but until now bitcoin and cryptocurrencies still alive and kicking.

Which coin you are talking about that giving away on the twitter page? I think you are talking about ICO tokens and not a bitcoin? Most likely it's a bounty or twitter campaign who giving away free tokens or ICO.

twitter alive with people giving away coins etc, what are you doing with yours?

Selling Up

Holding On

For me, holding would be a good option than selling it to cut your loses but it depends on which coin you are trying to hold because new coins are the most likely scam so not a good idea to hold them for a long time except for bitcoin or any top 10 coins listed on CMC.
7580  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: A quick fix for antminer S9 missing/not showing hash-board ! no skills needed :D on: September 28, 2018, 11:47:01 PM
I do not think it has anything with the firmware being incompatible as it was running fine for a while in a passive state, nothing has been changed , the hashing board just gone missing for god knows why.

there is 0 hardware issues now and before , i seldom get any hw errors, temps never go pass 80c. the strange thing is, with this FW i seem to get a better hash rate on the pool side.

thanks for the link, my brother has some good knowledge regarding those programming case such as PICKIT 3 , so it may be a good idea to buy broken miners for very cheap and fix them to re-sell them or use them Cheesy.

Mostly, November firmware solved this issues, but sometimes doesn't work so your thread will be helpful to someone if they confused which firmware they should use. Never give up if you feel that the issue of the miner is just a software program, not a hardware issues. Because I experienced on fixing hardware directly without trying to flash it first and then it becomes broken and never solve the problem. So, do everything first in software like flashing it from old firmware to the latest firmware and flash control board with working firmware and now a new tool called PICKit 3 can solve some hashboard issue by flashing it with working hex file. Before you go to the hardware, do this 3 method first because you can save as much as many miners from being useless and revive your miner from being dead. It's the basic thing that we should do before touching any hardware because without knowing which part is broken or damaged the problem can be worst.

Why not buy some broken miners and fix them for study purposes (honestly, it's a bright idea) and software program is a common issue of the ASICminer. I heard some members doing this here on the forum and fixing damaged and broken ASICminer and resell them for a cheap price on eBay or resell them in our local marketplace here in the forum.
