While I wish we could just let people use bathrooms based on gender identity, this seems like a valid option for places wanting to be transgender friendly.

As a trans person currently living in NC, this law sucks ass.  Big burly transmen will be in the girls room and freak them out, transgirls will be in the guys room and risk being attacked.  Either way, police may be called and take time to check ID's, not to mention if you get an officer that isn't TG friendly....

You're pretty much stuck between outing yourself to the world as trans and risking your safety, and risking being charged with a sex crime.

Going to the bathroom shouldn't feel like Mission Impossible to avoid being seen -_-

So what is your issue with unisex bathrooms then?

7583  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you living in radiation? How reliable are these websites? on: April 05, 2016, 09:19:27 PM
Call me paranoid, but I never was a big fan of nuclear power stations. Hearing about the high radiation levels around just further solidifies my distaste for nuclear energy.
I'm laughing every time when I hear about these so-called "high radiation levels".

Why is that? If you do some research on the Pacific you will see it is largely a dead zone now with thousands of sea creatures washing up on beaches and almost no visible life in many areas. The levels are certainly elevated on the West coast of the US.
7584  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Banning Male Urinals on: April 05, 2016, 09:17:46 PM
They have female urinals as well, so how can it be sexist?

Is it me or does this female urinal just scream penis envy (in more ways than one)?
7585  Other / Politics & Society / Re: College Implements Gender Neutral Bathrooms on: April 05, 2016, 10:09:16 AM
This generally sounds like a good idea, until you think about the dirty (pun intended) things people can do in there.

I used to work in a bar, and the women's bathrooms were always disgusting at the end of the night. The men's bathrooms maybe had a little bit of piss on the floor, but the women's bathrooms looked like a bunch of animals were in there. I would rather not share a bathroom with these creatures.

This Donald trump reminds me of Ronald Regan, mad man who might blow up the world. you should watch out for this guy and elect Hilary.

Yes, Hillary the drug smuggling, child sex trafficking, murdering, classified info leaking, Benghazi feminazi candidate is the way to go. Much better.  Roll Eyes

...i just know men still beat women in violence.

Is there a nonviolent way to beat women?
7589  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dog Fighter/Breeder Tortured By Masked Men on: April 04, 2016, 11:58:20 PM
Don't get me wrong, animals deserve to be treated humanely and people who abuse animals are scumbags, but is the solution really more abuse and torture? IMO this is pretty fucked up and some one just wanted to pretend they were in "Reservoir Dogs" for their own personal satisfaction, not because it served any kind of justice.
7590  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mexico tortures migrants – and citizens – to slow Central American surge on: April 04, 2016, 11:55:40 PM
What does Mexico get in return for slowing the flow?

Seems like a aggressive stance to take it there is not something serious in play that benefits Mexico long term.
Obama may well have some payoffs flowing, but for the longest time it was simply that Mexico didn't want them competing for work and money in Mexico.

^This. The USA is harmed by illegal immigration from Mexico, Mexico is plagued by illegal immigration from South America which is comparatively much worse than living in Mexico in many cases.

At first this seems a bit crazy, but I can see why they did it...

It seems like a response to the recent legislation in NC, MS, and other states...

NC, for example... passed a law in certain cities which allows trans-gender to use the restroom for whichever gender they identify with... In response, the state passed a law which repeals every anti-discrimination law that is not on the state level (basically, fuck you... you can't make a law that doesn't discriminate against gays)... forcing transgender to use the restroom of the gender they were born with (regardless of whether they currently have a penis or vagina)

So, in response to the response, we'll just take all the signs off all the bathrooms... touché motherfuckers

I don't think it is fair to claim this is meant as discrimination against gays. It seems to me that these anti-discrimination laws are being abused to the point of discriminating against heterosexuals of normative gender identities, therefore they decided to end the manipulation of the anti-discrimination laws to put a permanent end to this abuse as far as this subject is concerned. IMO this was a smart move that maximally serves all involved.
7592  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Women beating men; is it common? on: April 04, 2016, 10:00:27 AM
I never heard something like this in the news. and if this is really happening, maybe in a very rare situation. i think there's no man let himself to get beaten by a woman.

you are totally wrong .. there are a lot of incidents of men abuse by women but victims are ashamed of being beaten by a woman so they keep this abuse under wraps..this is the exact reason of your not knowing too many incidents..

More importantly than pride, men trying to call the police for domestic abuse are often blamed by the police by default, which can not only be life threatening, but could ruin your life. Most employers will not want to hire some one with a domestic violence record even just purely for liability reasons. Also in most states in the US, if you are convicted of domestic abuse, you are no longer allowed to own firearms, leaving you defenseless in the future.
7593  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Electoral Map Is a Reality Check to Donald Trump’s Bid on: April 03, 2016, 09:56:00 PM
This is just a pathetic strategy for Hillary, manipulating poll results to give the impression that Trump is behind so she maybe has a chance of fooling people into thinking Trump doesn't have a chance so they choose a more electable candidate. Don't fall for it. they are pulling out all of the stops to try to prevent Trump from being in the final running.
7594  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greece on brink of chaos as refugees riot over forced return to Turkey on: April 03, 2016, 09:40:50 PM
Of course the women and children are always up front for the photo ops, but in reality 3/4 of the migrants are fighting age males, most of which are not even from Syria. The flood of migrants is slowing already... gee what a surprise. Remove incentive to go there and they stop flooding in. What a groundbreaking concept. What is unfortunate about this is that people within Germany and a lot of the EU can not open their mouths about this insane policy of allowing mass immigration without risking being cast as racists or even being being criminally charged under totalitarian PC legislation. That is why I feel it is our responsibility to speak out for our brothers and sisters in Europe from places where we are still allowed a modicum of free speech. They aren't allowed to speak, so we should all be speaking out for them.
7595  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greece on brink of chaos as refugees riot over forced return to Turkey on: April 03, 2016, 01:08:09 PM
This smells funny,it does little to slow down the refugee issue and will cause disruption in Turkey that they really can not afford right now.
I know they are doing this to be in the EU but it seems like the EU is gambling that Turkey some how falls apart before that happens.
Actually now that I think about that, thats most likely what they think will happen. Do not see them giving Turkey what was agreed to and I also
do not think Turkey can handle the influx. So combine that with the border wars and you know they are going to fall into a interupted state.

Fuck Turkey, they are the ones funneling most of them into Europe. You think Greece is more able to handle them? Please. Do unto others.
Many of SOBs insult Turkey. Why? Why Turkey didn't hold them. Turkey already has 3 million refugees and provides their all necessity without any support of EU. Some of them go to Europe with hope of better life standards but God damn greece coastal security boats get sank their boats by shooting.

Because Turkey is not sending them back where they came from or to other Arab nations where they share the same culture, instead they send them to Europe and they do not assimilate and try to force locals to assimilate to them, often with violence. Why does Turkey deserve support from Europe? They are doing plenty themselves to create this conflict. Turkey is purposely funneling the migrants to Europe and several countries there do not want the giant influx of migrants regardless of what that traitor to her own people Angela Merkel says. Additionally Turkey has been dealing directly with ISIS and other terrorist groups. There are a lot of people hoping for better life and standards, that doesn't give them a right to come to places with a better life and standard and then crap all over it until it is just as shitty as where they came from. I wish Greece would sink more boats, maybe they would stop flooding in like they are entitled to run rampant all over Europe, disobey the domestic laws and just leech off of welfare programs. Immigration laws exist for a reason, if they didn't the entire world would be one giant shithole. Maybe if more of the migrants were acting like civilized human beings I would have more sympathy for them, but they aren't. Funny how the UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc don't want anything to do with them. I wonder why.

7597  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Child kidnapping by the Norwegian State on: April 03, 2016, 01:24:23 AM
Governments kidnap people all the time. But they call it "arresting".
technically it's not kidnaping people, but keep people away from their daily activities because of their own faults.

anyway I think people kidnapping those children aren't govenrments, don't they?

Not all people who have their children taken have done anything wrong. In most places it only takes a mere accusation, and some times not even that. Family courts in the US are an extra judicial civil code system outside of the normal rule of law, which is why they are notoriously hard to resist. Most people don't realize that when you get a birth certificate for your child you are literally handing ownership of them over tot he county of their birth, which is how CPS/DCFS has this extra judicial power.

I hear about the birth certificate giving the government ownership of your child pretty often. I don't have children yet but I don't want the state to have legal rights to me children. Do you have any more information or sources on this?

It is a fairly complicated subject, I suggest you do your own research. It is related to the difference between maritime contract law and common law. Here is a brief video summary.

7600  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: April 03, 2016, 12:18:18 AM
...

You should also specify that most states do require you to keep a record of the transaction. Additionally if he was not a US citizen he most certainly did break federal gun laws.

"...should also..."

This is trendy lying progressive bullshit, is what it is.

"Eliminating the gun show loophole" is NOTHING but cover talk for creating a registry of all firearms.

Let me give you an example.  A family has an historic curio, a  Lugar from Germany.  The grandfather was in the war, and there is a story behind his acquiring the Lugar and staying alive.

Here are the questions.

1.  Can the gun be inherited?
2  How?  To whom?  Assume the family members live in six different states.
3.  What is required for each of the six family members to take possession of the firearm?

NOW let's "eliminate the gun show loophole."

1.  What happens?

I am in complete agreement with you. Gun registrations always lead to confiscation. Furthermore the existence of such a database puts all gun owners at risk of being attacked by foreign enemies or domestic thieves. As far as inheriting guns, most states stipulate you can transfer them to immediate family members without any paperwork.
