Conversly, look at the amount of chips inept BFL was able to sell, and we all know the sentiment carried for that POS.  People are ASIC crazy, chip sales will be high

I think the ASIC craze will die down quite a bit after many miners fail to reach their ROI in the coming months—the massive increase in difficulty may squash late order BFLs, block eruptors, and the latest asicminer blades. However, there will always be an enormous demand for the newest, fastest, most efficient mining tech.
The way I see it, the market is RIPE for a company that has reliable inventory, shipped on demand, and priced at a level that miners can expect to actually make their money back in a year or so. Of all the other ASIC retailers, you can pretty much "pick 2" (if even) from those traits. If ActiveMining's production method is as efficient and cheap as I've been lead to believe, then they could quickly put themselves in that position and become the market leader.

I like your thinking.  Cheesy

Figures look good, how many BTC are needed for the NRE?

~10,000 @ $100 Bitcoins.  However, we have had a lot of expenses in July getting our Prototypes built (Engineering NRE and Deposits) , plus paying for the
assembly of the 68 Klondike boards.  Also, having to exchange bitcoins @ $68 to pay some expenses did not help any.

(it belongs here, not in AM speculations)

It's 15! Day for the proper financial reports?
Waiting for P/L, CF and balance sheet

1) Statement of financial position: also referred to as a balance sheet, reports on a company's assets, liabilities, and ownership equity at a given point in time.
2) Statement of comprehensive income: reports on a company's income, expenses, and profits over a period of time. A profit and loss statement provides information on the operation of the enterprise. These include sales and the various expenses incurred during the processing state.
3) Statement of cash flows: reports on a company's cash flow activities, particularly its operating, investing and financing activities.

kslaughter, what time (UTC)?

Thanks for reminding me.  Grin  Since AMC's description did not allow for any purchase of account software, we were just doing the very basic form of accounting. Also, since AMC is being merged into AMC (Belize) (Virtual shares ActiveMining) we will be issuing a full accounting statement on the winding down of AMC's business and its merger into ActiveMining on completion of the merger.

Our Plans For Shares and the NRE:

When we reach our goal of funding for the NRE from any of the following sources (shares sales, machine sales, chip sales, private funding, mining, loans etc) with a bit of leeway for other expenses, I will make a post here in the thread and then take down the wall immediately.

Yes to AMC-PT but no to AM? Just curious, maybe it would be better if it was called ActiveMiner-PT. That might be more technically accurate too..

It is not going to be a pass-thru, as the offering allows shares to be traded on different exchanges.  The limit is only 10,000,000 can be issued at any one time over all the exchanges.

0/2 on BTC-TC. Looks like they want a business plan. Ken, can you put one up?

Yes, I can do that.

hennessyhemp's bids were false, which might have unfairly affected the price. Does anyone who bid here want to restart the auction due to this?

I don't

In other words, profits from mining will never reach 0.0025 BTC/share unless ActiveMining increases its hash power at least as fast as the difficulty rises.

I highly doubt Activemining would limit itself to your numbers.  They will obviously continue investing in new hashing power as the opportunity arises, as well as more hardware production, just as Friedcat does.

Sell your hashing power as hardware when you reach a good portion of the network, and then liquidate your excess equipment to the market for an ever higher markup.  Produce more, hash more, sell, repeat..

Very Very Sharp!  Grin Grin Grin

Ken, are you the only person who posts from the kslaughter account?

Yes, why?
776  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 14, 2013, 02:54:57 AM
Thank you for the quick response.

Have you and burnside finalized any plans for automatic transmission of shares between AMC and ActiveMining as has been discussed before?

No, as it has to be approved first.
777  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 14, 2013, 02:42:14 AM
I see Kenneth has stated he has applied for ActiveMining to be listed on BTCT, but I do not see its application on the pending page. Is there any reason for this?

It has to be approved by the admin, before it shows as pending.

Update:

Klondike progress:
As many of you are aware, the Klondike has now been tested with 16 chips hashing at 4gh/s on the older test board...

... Final PCB design will be completed within the next 24 hours and sent to the fab houses for production.

Component sourcing:
We are working with both US and oversees PCB fab houses in order to reduce manufacturing lead time so all components are ready prior to chip arrival.
The BOM has been purchased, and parts have begun arriving at the assembly house. All parts should be in and ready for assembly by next week.

ActiveMining (AMC) have 68 Klondike boards on order.

Can't wait to read his writeup.
So the strategy with the marketing campaign is to raise NRE funds through preorders?

preorders can't be used to fund the NRE because what if the product never delivers and the customer needs a refund?
A preorder is not a sale.

Pre-orders can fund the NRE, just the company is liable for them like you said. It's not the best solution but it is a solution.

You create a reserve account for refunds.  Like 10%, or whatever percentage you think you will have in returns.
