761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Handling splits: UASFs, BIP148, etc. on: July 15, 2017, 10:15:53 AM
private keys aer my pharaphrase? or where to get them? thank you sir
is bitgo scure sir? and what about all the people that never hard about this on time? and their btc is in blockchain.info for example

The private keys are derived from the passphrase of 12 words, you don't really need to see them to know they are there. It's pretty much all you need to keep your bitcoins safe.
BIP148 won't take place until 1st august, people have enough time to take action (15 days), It only take a few minutes tot login into your account in exchanges and online wallets and withdraw your funds to a secure platform.

Which site would be of best to keep your btc if you dont have node wallet?

You don't need to run full nodes, you only need to have control over your private keys and that's something most sites don't give you. Use Electrum for desktop, Mycelium for Android.
762  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Got scammed by Bitwala! DO NOT USE BITWALA on: July 15, 2017, 09:45:14 AM
I advice you to post in their announcement thread regarding your problem, I doubt you will get ignored there as OP is very active. If you don't get your money back or an answer, then re-post or edit your scam accusation using the format given above.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have I missed on: July 15, 2017, 09:21:13 AM
You didn't miss much, Steam is now accepting bitcoin, Japan regulated bitcoin and It's now legal, the ETF by the twins got rejected. I believe that's everything that worth mentioning.
Back to the 1st august, the thread made by theymos should pretty much explain everything. It shouldn't have any negative effect on bitcoin as long as there is no chain split, as for the long term, SegWit is definitely going to help bitcoin.
764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Handling splits: UASFs, BIP148, etc. on: July 14, 2017, 04:16:43 PM
It is impossible for me to use desktop wallets, paper wallets and hardware wallets. I can only use web wallets. Till now I have stored my bitcoins on exchanges (I know that it is not safe) and I would like to move them. I have also used blockchain.info. I read some posts here, I understood that Blockchain.info is not safe too. Which online wallet do you recommend? GreenAddress, BitGo or any other? Is it better to store my bitcoins in two or more wallets, not only one? Really I don't know what should I do.

GreenAddress could be a very good choice and they already made a blog post regarding their standpoint for the upcoming changes that might occur. Using multiple wallets to store your bitcoins is mostly for keeping them safe for hackers so If a hacker for example reach your mobile device, he will only steal a portion since you have other bitcoins in paper, hardware wallets. If are planning to store them in multiple wallets simply for 1st august then that doesn't make much sense.
765  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Afterburner - Boosting stuck transactions on: July 14, 2017, 03:39:13 PM
Never heard of them before but it makes no sense for paying $5.99 for small transactions. The txaccelerator provided by viabtc works fine for me and it's free.
There is a service thread by one generous member here in bitcointalk forum offering free service for stuck transactions too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1955028.0

Free accelerators tend to have an hourly limit and there is no chance you can submit your transaction when there is a spam attack on the network or a lot of traffic sadly. I will wait to see more reviews and maybe test it If it's worth it. I know that I should pay enough miner fees in the first place but mistakes happens.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is the best way to invest? on: July 14, 2017, 03:11:47 PM
Its definitely one of the best methods to invest because usually, the price doesn't go under the ICO price when the campaign ends. This depend on different factors though, If there is a lot of bounty, a lot of people will dump them because they gained them using easy work but as a general rule, as long as the ICO has a solid team and a realistic goal to reach within a known period of time, you should go for it.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be safe to store coins on the Omni wallet if BTC forks? on: July 13, 2017, 06:14:59 PM
Just to make sure, I am not asking about Bitcoin. I am asking about storing things like MaidSafe or Tether on the omniwallet, and if those would be affected by the fork.

I store my BTC on my trezor

Your bitcoins are safe in your trezor and they would be safe in Omniwallet as well. MaidSafeCoin and Tether.to are not affected by any forks, It's only bitcoin so you shouldn't be worried. If your PC is infected however, nothing will make your omniwallet safe.
768  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 💳 Virtual VISA Card ✅ 0.50$ 🚀 Instant delivery 🅿️ PayPal-ready on: July 13, 2017, 05:02:30 PM
I see a lot of people complaining about their services lately, could someone tell me the sites they tried these cards on and It didn't work for them? I don't really care about being able to verify PayPal and Skrill etc.
769  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Handling splits: UASFs, BIP148, etc. on: July 13, 2017, 03:31:34 PM
How are theymos, I ask your opinion.
Do we have to sell all our BTCs?
And if we keep all our BTCs and we install 2FA (Google Auth). Is it very safe?

He didn't ask you to sell your bitcoin, he simply asked you to withdraw into a more secure wallet that you control. The thread has nothing to do with exchanges being hacked, Its about the next fork, enabling 2FA or not won't change the fact that you are not controlling your wallet so no, It's not safe.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline storage? on: July 13, 2017, 01:38:26 PM
Jaxx is not an open source wallet, you can't know for sure If they are sending your private keys to their servers or not. If you are planning to store ethereum or ERC20 tokens use Myetherwallet and print the wallet address and private keys with it, If its bitcoin then go with Bitaddress (same process) or OpenDime (a USB stick).
771  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: July 13, 2017, 01:17:54 PM
Still nothing from Paycent.io apparently, you may want to consider removing them from the list or adding them into pending or something. All they are doing is retweeting irrelevant stuff from other bitcoin projects while not giving any news regarding theirs.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum wallet not showing ether on: July 12, 2017, 03:55:30 PM
I'm far from being an expert when it comes to ethereum but If the wallet require downloading the blockchain, that could be the reason? since you can already see the transactions on the etherscan explorer.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If You can NOT HODL a FORK, You can NOT HODL any Crypto! on: July 11, 2017, 07:18:28 PM
The chances of having a chain split looks definitely high but I'm not really worried, bitcoin is here to stay and can't simply die with thousands of merchants and individuals accepting it as a payment method. Being educated about the current situation is important though, If you are on the wrong side, you may lose.
774  Other / Meta / News regarding BIP148/BIP91 on: July 11, 2017, 07:00:43 PM
I believe that theymos should make a thread or at least link to a useful post here or to Reddit that explains the current situation and how people can stay safe during the upcoming storm that is coming in August. It should be linked right on the top where there is the announcement saying "Latest stable version of Bitcoin Core: 0.14.2  [Torrent]." and in color.

You may not know but a lot of people are unaware of what's going to happen, It's also suggested to translate the linked post into multiple languages as well so we target more people (I can help in that case).
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why MCO price falling ? on: July 11, 2017, 11:41:23 AM
It's the whole altcoin market that is going down, It's starting going up again as you can see. Another thing that is triggering the crash for Monaco card is that the bounty program payout has been paid like a couple of days ago so this was pretty much expected, It's a great time to buy If you want to accumulate more and you trust the team behind the project though.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would be the fairest way for votings ? on: July 10, 2017, 04:05:21 PM
A lot of what you mentioned can be manipulated or result into having one person with multiple votes. The coin voting look like the most convenient option to me but that could mean centralization as well, someone could simply buy a lot of bitcoins and vote in order to push a specific code change for example. Back to mining, It's probably the best option but not too many people are being involved currently which again, gives us the centralization as you said.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: myetherwallet on: July 08, 2017, 04:31:04 PM
I read on multiple places on the forums, slack, Reddit that there is some serious phishing attempts going on lately and there is actually a scam accusation thread about this. If you have indeed uploaded your file or private keys into the wrong site then you won't be able to have them back unfortunately.
778  Economy / Service Discussion / Afterburner - Boosting stuck transactions on: July 05, 2017, 07:47:51 PM
I was checking Bitrefill twitter until I saw they tweet regarding a service called Afterburner which is made by Samourai wallet. The service can be used by downloading their app from Google play, downloading is free but boosting your transaction isn't.

"To unstuck a transaction you will be charged $5.99 in BTC plus the fee required to the bitcoin miners which varies based on network conditions and transaction size"

I haven't used the service myself so that's why I'm asking here on the first place, the wallet will only work with HD wallets and will ask you for your passphrase, that made me a little bit worried but in the same time, the project is open source so I just wanna know If someone already used this and could tell us how reliable this app is.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Anyone Included Their Bitcoin Portfolio In a A Will? on: July 05, 2017, 07:20:56 PM
This subject is definitely something that a lot of people should take in consideration as bitcoin is now widely used, It's more valuable then ever. I still believe that even If someone fail to do, It's still profitable for the rest of people as this will only mean less supply and result in a higher value and that's not the case for fiat.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: July 05, 2017, 11:06:17 AM
Taas has also declared to pay dividend on 1st August. One thing I do not understand that if taas can pay dividend, why ICONOMI chose buyback?

This was well explained when they took the decision of changing the program from dividends to buyback and I believe It was a very good one. They will avoid any legal issues now that could prevent them from paying people worldwide and It's also more convenient because people who hold their funds on exchange may not be able to receive them unless exchanges agree to do so. IMO, the buyback is simply better.
