I am not adverse to risk Raskul. Spondoolies could be the one fab that does do right by our community.

Like Smooth I am seriously considering some SP30's but I am only going to risk what I can afford to lose. Money that if it goes poof. Goes poof.

Far be it from me to think I am able to advise you on your purchases, I'm just happy to see the hashrate spreading out a bit, and well you all know i'm not a big player, which is fine by me, I like the risk, if i'm holding 4BTC in my wallet and the price crashes, I still look to the future.
for me;

BTC4 does not equal $2k
BTC4 = BTC4

and wherever I can spend it, as opposed to trading it, I will. every time.

Good strategy. Look LONG.

Unfortunately we all see the same end game in mining. MASSIVE MINING OPERATIONS... time for the little guys to band together and do the same. Pool Mining is not enough and I dare say a single coin BTC strategy is a waste of resources.
Bick no mater how many small guys bound together the pice they get of the pie will be the same.
So individuals can not gain anything from grouping and hooking together.
If you invest let us say 500 bugs in a grou with 1000t you will get proportional ROI based on your investment
You get better price  for the equipment and discount which will be eaten up from group fees that is All
So if you do not have enoug power or you do not want to turn your house into server room buy something small like ants or whatever and you are done. In any case direct btc investment is an option also

Good to see Joshua Zipkin has time to log on to delete my posts, but not the time to address the many issues you have all brought up.

Josh, you are a stupid little man. I hope you end up in prison for all of the fraud you are perpetrating.

Opieum: I'm sure you will end up like many here, with a half-ass working miner that needs industrial cooling to keep from overheating. No one gives a shit about "how stressed out Joshua is" or how you've summed him up to be a good genuine person because of your 'judge of character'. This is business not personal, and he's done a terrible job so far running this so-called business.

Friction: I am wondering why you are investing more of your money into buying parts to get this hunk of crap working. Follow through with the suit and try for your refund. At this point you are just digging yourself further into monetary loss.

I'm poking around the A1 developers thread looking to see what we need to drive the blades. Good place there to start is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294235.msg4815054#msg4815054

Have already found that a program called Hexminer http://technobit.eu/index.php?id_product=53&controller=product&id_lang=1 can be used to com with the blades via pc/'ux. good start.
what info does this give you? im using putty to com with the pi. and you killall cgminer after logging in. then type cgminer -DT and it will tell you how your cards are running. "found 8chips 256 active cores" or similar repeated 3/5 times dependant on how many you have.

Guy's
Hexminer from Technobit has nothing to do with Zipkin A1 crap
However it ca be used with Technobit bitfury boards sold by Zipkin
Or it can be used with Technobit coincraft boards which have nothing in common with Zipkin  a1 crap
So do not loose your time with hexminer
There is a saying when hardware is broken you ca not fix it with software

A full week has gone by, our office is closed today because of stock market holiday. I am losing money every day. Why did you not keep your word about Monday, if you were busy, why did you tell me this would be picked up right away? Not only did I lose money on this, I lost a lot of my time dealing with this. What could you be spending time on? My order is from 2013? I need you to make me priority for once. You say you would call Fedex twice to me, but no one has shown up.
Dude,
It is usless. Zipkin is not giving a fuck about you. He comes everyday and deletes my posts but he has not time to drop you a pm or say something to all af you?
I doubt...

ATM- Nobody wants your empty promises or your now outdated, improperly shipped, plagued with problems, "do our job and build it for us" Heap O Crap and/or kits.  We want our money refunded.  I no longer want your over-sized brick, I want my 10K returned to me along with these other customers who you have taken such good care of.  The customers that have given you more than the benefit of the doubt.

AMT not keeping their promises?  SHOCKER!!  Oh by the way, if they don't come through for you tomorrow, WAIT LONGER!!  Also just so you know, NO REFUNDS!!  If you have a problem with that, call one of the many friendly customer service reps at AMT and they will answer your unanswered questions promptly.    If by chance, you get their answering machine, no worries, they will call you right back.  HAPPY HASHING!!

Well, looks like I am one of those folks with a "oversized brick".

Looks like I don't have any other recourse but to talk to the attorneys.

AMT still owes me a working unit and a ROI on based on its MPP.

Just to add insult to injury,  AMT claims on their website:

AMT 3.2THs Bitcoin Miner

20 units left for April 15th, 2014 shipment.

It is now April 18th.

Zipkin the cloun has no limits guys Grin

So I got a GPIO cable from a third party.

For some odd only get two modules to come up. and of those two only one is hashing.

I'll be giving josh a not so happy call tomorrow asking for an immediate refund.  I know this isn't going to get me anything but I'll be asking him on the phone.

Looks like there is 1 chip on top board that is drawing power I can tell because the copper heatsink has darkened. and though ti's not recognized it still gets warm\

I'm going to lose my mind here. And when I do someone is going to be in a world of hurt.

Sad dude....

All I can hear is the sound of you wanking off wanking off to the thoughts you have of your self-perceived intelligence.

And that is Sad dude... it's funny because besides filing the reports that I mentioned you have absolutely no idea other courses of actions I have taken. Though my guess is you assume justice only happen when we have someone hanging by a tree from their neck, because if not you assume everyone is some sort weeping victimized child.
Dude what I know is that Zipkin poserkoto can go to jail for life. Jus do not give up
Besides I explained very clearly why I beehive in such way with you. Zipkin deleted this also.
Again to make long story shout I am not happy about your position and I am NOT laughing at you in any way
But at the end if everything else fails a tree idea is worth to try Wink
I believe Zipkin can go to jail for hiding taxes also. But this will come along with investigation and suits
He offered money under the table here in public which means that he is hiding taxes for sure
Zipkin you will dream of Genno stakes very soon Grin

You are right dude. But I will not stop to ask my self how then hide so good the value of the package and why?
For instance if you ship something with fedex you need to fill the value on pickup?
Is that how it works?

Not sure what you mean.   The package did not require a signature,  so it was just left beside the door.

Yes, you do need to declare the value, but I don't see the declared value on the tracking # they sent.

I mean that amt are the ones who tell fedex to require signature
Common practice when one sends 6 k equipment is
1. Require signature
2 declare package value 6 k
3 insure it
4 require inspection check from you on delivery

But they missed this parts why?
Something is not right for sure.....

Signature not required for 6K?
Really that must be a joke
What about package value
Here in eu when you ship something you need to tell it's value

No package value information.

Anyway, I am not sure if AMT has become so desperate as to commit shipping insurance fraud.   I have not be notified by Fedex as to the condition of the package.   I've kept the package and bits and pieces of the fan.
Can you check it in there website somehow.
I am curious to know?
Thanks

I did check.  There is no information on insurance and value of the package.

I definitely think AMT was genuine in wanting to ship a working unit.  Unfortunately, they are very inexperienced and ship the unit in a package that had nothing between the unit and the box to pad.   I have shipped a lot of hardware on eBay,  I would never ship something this heavy with so little padding.

Going to keep the box in case I need to show the court how negligent the company has been.
You are right dude. But I will not stop to ask my self how then hide so good the value of the package and why?

I think poserko to Zipkin playas different game.
He is not that stupid to fraud fedex
What he does is
1. He hammers the crap first
2. He declares low value of the crap to avoid check on pickup so nobody knows it is intentionally broken

That is his game
Guy's
Please put some light here.
Those of you who got something smashed. What vas the usd value of the shipment declared from Zipkin
Was it insured?

15 x 15 x 15 box... signature not required... 10lbs.

Don't know if it was insured.  However, definitely more than 10 lbs since in included the power supply.

The unit appears to have been damaged during shipment.  All the bits and pieces of the broken fan were in the package.

I think more like negligence and incompetence happening here than fraud.

777  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Technobit HEX16B2 60GH BitFury rev.2 based miner in hand on: April 17, 2014, 07:57:06 PM
Cons: EU based, no US assembly available. Extremely long turnaround (send the chips in, wait for assembly, wait for the arrival, what it unit comes damaged, etc?)
Pros: Very reliable miner.
Bro,
Are you talking about amt Grin

2good nice review as always Wink
Thanks
778  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: April 17, 2014, 05:57:23 PM
AMT Miners , please do not send me another miner, I just need this one picked up. I will refuse shipment is anything is sent. I am asking for refund only. I have been put through enough.

I am still waiting for AMT to respond to the boards that were damaged during shipment.   AMT,  respond to me with RMA so I can *also* ship back the damaged units.

BTW,  why are you sending the miner back?  Did it not work?  I forgot the details.
It was another victim of FedEx football und ja das is kaput.
It seems I tha FedEx USA is braking everything they touch, in one condition sender to be AMT Grin
Otherwise all is good.
aMT is there insurance for shipping or you just save a bug for Genno stakes as always Grin
i cant see how everyone's boxes got fucked up and mine traveled all the way to uk with not a scratch on it and it works lol.
i must be the worlds luckiest person
did the truck crash with all your miners on lmao
In fact you are Wink
I am starting to believe they they did on purpose prior to shipping  Grin
And FedEx has nothing to do with it
Zipkin.
How May stakes can yo buy for free for the money saved from insurance?
I am positive that when you declare value 6000 usd and request insurance fedex will check it very carefully on pickup
But this is not the case Grin Grin
Will anyone who got miner be so kind to put some light what was the declared value of the miner
Zipkin
Are you paying taxes at all or you are transferring everything in Genno's pub Grin
could possibly be down to being shipped as pcb the fedex people were expecting a nice light box. and instead got 2 tonnes and dropped it. or there is a nut job at a fedex facility smashing up boxes for fun and due to us only having minimal contact with the us postal service got away scott free. maybe ship with caution heavy written on the box.
Or it could be declared as 30 usd crapy board and broken intentionally from amt prior to pickup Grin
