I think that you will not find soft cap but it looks like rather than softcap and the developer was putting how many tokens that available for the tokensale. Some platforms are not creating automation to its ico and that means the token will be distributed after the ico. |

I prefer Coinmarketcap because it has everything I need and working well. I have been using it since years back and I am pleased with the information. So, I don’t think I will switch to ForbesCrypto for the time being.
CMC is so simple and that's why a lot of people are interesting in using it. Forbescrypto is a new marketcap site but there are some improvements on it. But remember we have a lot of marketcap sites like coingecko and any other site but they are offering the same thing. |

At the moment, market capitalization, in my opinion, is not quite correct, there are a lot of trading volumes at the exchanges, which was made by bots, which is certainly not very good.
Just try to take exrates as the best example of how bad the manipulation that already happened in some exchange sites. The bot was manipulating the buy and sell order and that was creating such an unhealthy atmosphere around the exchange site itself. |

It is estimated that that the Cryptocurrency market capitalization went down to $200 billion from $800 billion that it was as at January 2018.
I believed it was due to the bearish market .
What I do not understand is while there is continuous growth of Cryptocurrency, people are picking interest and coming into the cryptosphere and yet the market capitalization is still not moving upwards.
What could be the challenge here?
The one thing what can be true is that we will never see such big market cappitalization because too many people were involved in the big bubble in late 2017. But it was created by retail investors, not by smart money. What will happen if the situation changes and smart money will come?   It's not created by the retail investor but the speculators did it. How can you say if the retail investors are creating it while we have seen so many speculation news in 2017 and that doesn't make sense at all dude. Smart money will come after crypto has proven itself. |

The whole hype of the STOs seems literally down since basically they offer similar functions to ICOs and is as if investor actually prefer ICO these days to STOs and the whole thing is down since it doesnt offer substantial benefit to what we already have

Ranks on CMC.

Lol nope, with the recent success of binance launchpad and IEO that needs BNB coin to invest on the IEO, BNB price will increase for sure. I even think the BNB price can reach 20 dollar soon but i'm not sure is it will stable on $15-20 or not, because i think it will go down too but not deep. Agreed, there is no valid reason to state about the collapse of Binance exchange. They were widening the market all around. The next focus of them is to go decentralized. Regularly more services and competitions were getting added. The launchpad service through BNB coin helps with the circulation of BNB in large scale which helps with the increase in its market value. Launchpad is a way to increase the demand for binance and this will give huge adoption and the collapse of binance coin just only a rumour or fake new. with all of the products and that make sense to see binance was growing a lot like this one. |

Has Dan Larimer given up on creating a Steemit on EOS. If he does, Steem is finished. Traffic is already decreasing in anticipation. I don't think this coin has a bright future, Steemit has been mismanaged and it's hard to fix what's broken.

It is mostly being used between the exchanges.
They are centralized and they are not to be trusted for the long term.
Use case example:
You want to transfer $100k from "exchange A" to "exchange B". While you can already use BTC or any other crypto you like between those exchanges, there might be some unwanted volatility during the transaction completion. The chances are lower lately than what it used to be but it is still there.
Other than this one I don't really see any other use cases. I mean some people use it against BTC/Crypto as an hedge but it doesn't make much sense. If the Authorities decide to end Bitfinex tomorrow, you can say goodbye to your USDt. (this applies to other stablecoins as well) Unlike the USD balance on your exchange, all the people around the world who use USDT will get affected by it.
It has its advantages but I believe the disadvantages are weighting more.
When the day comes and people realize you don't need to get back to FIAT at all while you are on crypto, they are going to disappear on their own.
There was a thread sometime that they were discussing USDT can be sent on myetherwallet. I can't believe it at first but I guess some of them had done it before. It still make sense if of course to hedge funds and wait til the bear finally slowdown. I haven't tried it myself but if you can send tether to another exchange then it could also be done to send it to a desktop wallet. Tether use omni blockchain and while myether is focusing on ethereum blockchain, if you send tether there like you are wasting your money because it's not compatible with the blockchain that synched with MEW wallet. |

Firstly, I must say that investing in ICO is a big risk, and one must have that in mind before delving in. To reduce the risk, one ought to do thorough due diligence especially on team, product and token economics. You mentioned buying cheap on exchanges after ICO, not a bad idea but some ICOs ( a few) still do well on exchange.
if that will be involving a big risk and you will get a big reward for that. can you buy cheap BTT or FET like the the ico price. Promising platform is always getting more than 5x return from its ico price and it's too risky. |

Still there are a lot of coins that are classic pump and dump scheme. For example one of the biggest one - Bytecoin, every mainnet pumped this coin to the moon and after that big dump back.
There are a lot of such coins. I would say that there are hundreds of such coins. even in the top 100 coins that use the pump & dump scheme there are a lot You can't get rich in over night through use a usual pump and dump, the only way to do that through put your money in the promising ico. that's possible to give you more than 6x from your initial investment. |

As far as i know, mining is not profitable with current prices or has very little profit.
If i was a miner, i would choose some new blockchain project and hope it will be good in the future.
that depends on your mining rig and if you can get a lot of hashrate and you can get a lot of profit instantly but due to the blocksize decrease and you may need a very long time to go to get your ROI back. mining is about how much you can product the hashrate. |
