And how much time to find a block at 50Kh/s?

decades.

lol it'll take a long time if you're solo mining though.

I will say this in regards to post 667 I did message the authors of the posts to contact one of gw customer support people on skype (gave the persons skype contact to them).

I don't think they have, but the option is there.

Cryptonomos is also the escrow provider, not the giga-watt team which is most likely why they only answer the easy questions.

I've said a couple of times, message giga-watts support they're pretty quick on the reply side.

zincra, please stop the confusion. I am collecting this coin for a long while now. I know my calculations. Okay maybe it's correct when u just have a few thousand of coins like u mentioned that your staking Weight is way to low to receive the 2.2-2.4% with the current total supply of iflt., Though when i started about 6 months ago i received 2.2-2.4% over a 50.000 coins,... No exception. But my contribution to this topic and my calculations to make nice profit are not for just 50.000,  100.000  or 500.000 coins. It's for the bigger and serious investors which want to make good bank.

I will PM you some more details.

WHy the hell you think i am newcomer? I have over 80M coins with more than 150 different stacks, stack sizes are 100k to 800K, so practice shows that lowe stacks wont get stakes every day, I have some stacks with more than 10K and 15k confilmations. Few low stacks have been stacked twice or trice and some have not staked yet, so you calculations will not work.

I prefer people will make their own rational decions by ture data, it will benefit them and coin also.

If you have staking weight, it means your potential to earn is still there.  0 weight = completed.

Easy way to say it, if its too good to be true it is.
If you think you're the only one in the world to notice esp is 1 sat at yobit, and wayyyy higher everywhere else - you're not.
The reason you're able to buy it for 1 sat, is because there is a reason its 1 sat.

If you want to know how much you can make with IFLT, find a compounding interest rate calculator, one that calculates compounding daily or weekly, like this one:
https://financialmentor.com/calculator/compound-interest-calculator

Enter in starting value of $1 and an annual interest rate of 899%, choose weekly compounding interval (assuming you get a stake 1 time per week)
For the number of years to grow, enter in 0.083, which is 1 month.  The calculator will show that your ROI would be 189%!
189% ROI Monthly!  That assumes you get 1 stake per week, if you get more, your ROI would be even higher!

Now if you do the same calculation, this time changing the number of years to grow to .417, (which is 5 months, the amount of time until the stake reward drops to 80%)
You can see that the ROI would be over 2800%

If you started staking today with 1 million coins, by November you will have over 28 million IFLT coins in your wallet.
Even if you were to buy at 3 sats and sell at 1 sat you will still make 10X your investment over 5 months!

Invest in IFLT now and retire in 4 months! 😎

Cool easy money, and better than day trading; also this coin having a max supply gives it a higher price range
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡⛏️[ANN] Giga Watt: Best Home for your Mining. Starts today! on: June 25, 2017, 03:44:38 PM
I have some doubts. Will this Token be sold in markets such as poloniex, Bifinex, etc? Each Token has its value attached to 1 Watt of power, is that it? If this is the more expensive to get the more expensive the farm energy, so we should not expect the value of the token to go to the moon, right? Undecided

I had the same thought.  Disclaimer: I am new to all of this.
By being attached to the 50 year 1 watt of power, it might put a fairly hard ceiling on the value of the token.
If people can become convinced that the value of the token is based on the value of 50 years of 1 watt rental at Gigawatt, and the rental fee has a fixed amount (as it appears to have), then you can literally calculate the exact value of the coin (obviously this assumes nothing changes over the next 50 years, which is ridiculous.  But you get my point.)

According to the cryptonomos calculator which is available here: https://cryptonomos.com/?r=1lv0eNDlOmhWNTu18ev35yyLJ
You can rent the tokens out for a max of $0.56502 per token per year.
Multiply that by 50 years, and you get a lifetime value of $28.25 per token.

Of course this assumes the tokens are being rented out.  But a similar formula could be used, based on the savings in rental fees, if the tokens were being used to cover miner rental feesL
Again, according to the cryptonomos calculator which is available here: https://cryptonomos.com/?r=1lv0eNDlOmhWNTu18ev35yyLJ
You will save $0.5913 per token per year.
Multiply that by 50 years, and you get a lifetime value of $29.565 per token.

So, based on this simple concept, we would assume that the value of one token should be at the very most $29.565, which is awesome for investors if it actually went this high.

Of course people will guess about what the value of mining/electricity will be over the next 50 years and apply that to the possible future value the token brings.  That's where things get interesting, I suppose.

Again I am totally new at this and I realize this is simple logic that only works in a vacuum.  But I thought it might be worthwhile to consider.

If you look into the future, that would be correct calculations - but the value might vary due to changes in demand. Also you may sell your WTT on public exchanges once it gets listed there.

Right. I was referring to the public exchanges when contemplating its potential value ceiling. In other words, the speculative value of this token might have a limit to it due to being tied to an actual asset with measurable value. So, my proposition is that the backing of the token by the rental/infrastructure both gives it real value (as opposed to purely speculative value) as well as real limits (as opposed to a lot of these coins/tokens that are backed by nothing but are able to grow endlessly).

Of course, as I mentioned, I concede completely that this value varies based on current demand and predicted future demand.
I bought wtt so I obviously don't doubt its potential. But I wonder if it has a self-imposed value limit that other tokens don't necessarily have?

I am curious to hear from smarter people than myself, because I am basically pulling this out of my butt. I hear people talking about market cap and supply and blah blah, and most of that means nothing to me, so maybe I am oversimplifying in my thought process out of ignorance. Maybe speculation ignores silly things like real value. I genuinely do not know.

Price to the downside should be the net present value of the cost reduction of rental fees under the assumption that mining is profitabel at all times. Cost reduction for the starter tariff is 9,75 – 3,3 c/kWh = 6,45 c/kWh multiplied with 24/1000*100 = 0,001548 $/day multiplied with 365 = 0,57 $/year (which is not 100% in line with calculator: 0,59 $/year). For further simplification we assume that this cost reduction is perpetual since 50 years in the crypto space is sort of everlasting. I then take an insane high discount rate of 50% (I really don‘t know better) which leaves me with a NPV for the token = 0,57/0,5 = 1,14 $. All factors and assumptions arguable.

Price to the upside
: let‘s assume all tokens are sold and all token holders are mining and I have a left over miner at Giga Watt. How much would I be willing to pay to a token holder? I then would be willing to pay the net present value of the complete cost reduction when mining at Giga Watt in comparison to mining at home. At home with noise and neighbours ignored I then would pay 27 c/kWh which is the residential price for electricity at my home town (in Germany) with a rental fee of zero and maintenance fee also at zero. The cost reduction would be 27 c/kWh (at home) – 3,3 c/kWh (at GW for WTT holders) = 23,7 c/kWh when mining at GW. 23,7 c/kWh *24/1000*100 = 0,005688 $/day * 365 = 2,08 $/year. I again take the same high discount rate of 50% which leaves me with a NPV of the cost reduction when mining at GW instead if mining at home = 2,08 /0,5 = 4,16 $ which I am willing to pay for a token. If the price is higher I mine at home, if it is lower I buy the token and mine at GW. All factors and assumptions again arguable. Especially the assumtion that at 27 c/kWh mining at home is profitabel. Since I have no numbers I really don‘t know. Maybe I just would be better off selling the miner.
You forget one additional and very driving force in peoples minds, convenience.
I would rather pay someone to monitor my miners than watch them myself because I'd like to think I have better things to do than listen to the low humming noise all day lol.

CV2 is on the verge of doing great things. Masternodes and a new tech called darksend are coming very soon.

I'm not sure about Bittrex, but apparently the devs have been having productive conversations with them. Obviously, the immediate future of this coin is very bright. Volume has been steadily increasing for a reason.

I just created a new slack group for CV2 as well. Anyone is welcome to join. We are still on the ground floor and a strong community will help take this coin very far. 100 sats in the near future should be the aim of our new floor before we get onto Bittrex. At 1 sat and with the incoming developments, this coin is an absolute steal.

I recently created a new slack group. Here is the slack link: https://colossus2.slack.com/signup

I strongly encourage all of the devs to join too. This coin has amazing potential. We are going to establish an amazing community. I encourage everyone to sign up.

Look forward to see you all.  Grin

Darksend isn't new tech, its new to the coin though.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX [ICO] end of June: making Blockchain assets spendable on: June 24, 2017, 10:24:07 PM

It should have been limited cap per investor. If they don't want my money, no problem. I'll just invest in another project.

this

and i am puzzled why big investors haven't bought on presale....

also 100.000 ETH / 4.000 participants = 25 ETH

oh 25 ETH, the EXACT amount to receive a limited edition tenx card

i think will be quite the rollercoaster for TenX on exchanges.

I wanted to do the 1250 eth founders edition card, but my countries restricted.  So I messaged playgroundr about something specific to at least get the card, never got a reply  Undecided oh well.

I purchased some WTT.
That's really bad while I have to wait 1 month+ from now while early bird don't get any bonus.
So I guest many other should join in the last turn
Early birds do get a bonus... The coins cheaper

Anyone here already mining?

I don't believe so because all of the miners that had been sold are coming in the near future.

Although megabigpower was a pretty big name (Should be safe to look up reviews of them, and apply here)
[/quote]

Yeah, that's what I'm not quite clear about. From the cryptonomos website:

"At this time, there are 3 units already in operation, which means that 2.25 MW is currently ready for tokenization"

So what does "in operation" mean? Does it mean it's already hosting miners or just ready for miners post-token launch?

To me it seems to suggest miners are already being hosted especially since they do offer hosting for those who already have their own miners.

[/quote]
Probably needs to be answered by cryptonomos

wallet downloaded and synced well using the bootstrap

the directions to using the bootstrap on the website didn't make sense.

once you download the bootstrap , open each file until you see 6 files (database, txleveldb, blk0001.dat, db, debug, peers.dat.)

keep these open

NOW

go to search files

type: %appdata%/esp

open your esp file and delete the same ones you see in the bootstrap file. (database, txleveldb, blk0001.dat, db, debug, peers.dat.)

once that is done. Grab the files from the bootstrap and move them into your ESP file and close. restart your wallet should be about 2 weeks behind or so.

now add coins

good luck

Basically take the bootstrap files and paste them over the current files in the esp wallet.

Current wallet - sync from 0
Bootstrap wallet - sync from a little bit ago.

"Maybe a Fed" lol.

Not a fed. Well, Lots of noobs coming and thought it would help, Nice community, i guess the lesson here is dont offer any help and you wont get criticized.

I think you missed why he said that.   Lips sealed

First I'd like to say I really like the concept and how it brings economies of scale to small miners, but I'd like to hear from any here who are actually running miners now at the Gigawatt facilities, either your own or purchase through Gigawatt.

I'd be curious to know about how billing, installation, payments, maintenance, outages, etc. are handled in reality.

Anyone here already mining?

Its an erc20 token so it could be tradable in any exchange featuring ethereum/erc20 tokens, its already future trading at hitbtc.  The token provides you 1 watt of power and rental free mining for 50 years, so I don't particularly believe it will moon and be worth $100 each; but its passive income and over time benefits could be rather great to increase the value.  As seen on hitbtc 3-6x per token easily enough.

I am noob here.  Can anyone explain calculation " Bitcoin mining Price for WTT token holders : under $500 "

I am very much interested in this project. I like the idea of cheap electricity and miners manage/maintained by professionals.

Thanks in advance  Smiley

Basically that calculation was done by stating the electricity costs used in mining each bitcoin, it doesn't point out that you need to purchase the miner and the tokens and cover your initial investment.

But in essence you would spend approximately $500 mining each bitcoin in energy costs using the WTT token in combination with your miner (s9).

Are they usually around 5000$?

Depends on the club.
Some places have upwards of 100,000, but provide a lot of perks (private limo service so on and so forth.)

My wallet is no longer staking after updating
Are you sure? Maybe you just have a small ammount and you need to wait a bit to get your share.
Is your wallet unlocked?

I have 22 mio ESP. My wallet is unlocked. Last time I had a share was the 13. this month, so 10 days ago

That's about correct; it averages out to 25% per year.  With a small amount you may not see a a stake for a good period of time.
