761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of ICO ban in China on: September 05, 2017, 06:56:30 PM
What do you think will happen to crypto currencies following the latest news on the #ban on ICO in China?

will the already successful ICO's refund people's monies to them?

Is it good for governments to ban the use of crypto currencies?

Tell me what you think about any of these.  Smiley

I think this somehow as an effect, as we know there's a lot of potential investors in China and it's a big and rich country. There would be lesser investor and developer from China. This means, there's a direct effect of the banning to cryptocurrency prices especially eth,btc and waves, which are usually used to buy ICO token or coins.

What are the best coins to buy?
Share your ideas everyone :-)
Thanks Cheesy

I think it's safer to buy old established altcoins. There's a lot of ICO's every now and then, and most of them are just like bubbles. I've tried to invest in different altcoins and most of it were not worth it. Investing should be accompanied with careful study. It is risky but if it is done will knowledge it can be profitable.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any ICO worth investing ? on: September 05, 2017, 04:10:39 PM
Hi,

I would like to ask a simple question: what upcoming ICO do you see as worth investing ?
To keep things interesting you're allowed to choose only one, so you give it a deep thought not just copy paste names you found Wink Wink

I think it's hard to answer this because there's a lot of upcoming ICO and a lot of it has potential. So, I think it's hard to name one. Before investing on anything, careful study is needed to make sure that you're investment will be worth it. I've invested in a famous ICO before and it went well at first but it was just like a soap bubble. I wasn't able to sell my coin before it popped and lost almost 10% of my invested money.
764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: September 02, 2017, 09:57:52 AM
hi guys, i bought 1BTC today and i am wondering to gamble or to invest the 1btc?

if to gamble

best site to gamble with a really nice provably fair..

and if to invest.

best investment program wherein no scam.

thank you for your opinions guys

cheers

Gambling and investing is almost the same, because both are requires risk. With gambling, there's a chance of gaining limitless amount in just a short time if you're lucky. But, it risky to bet with high amount of money because you might also lose a lot of money. On the other hand, the risk in investing is lesser because it requires knowledge, skills, time and money.
765  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Php wallet or Btc wallet on: September 02, 2017, 09:00:47 AM

766  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: August 30, 2017, 04:14:03 PM
Quote
1. It’s gaining mainstream credibility as industry players consider it as the new gold – Bitcoin has many of the same qualities of gold, whose value is not controlled by governments.

2. Many investors and finance industry experts are serious about the promise of Bitcoin – A large number of mainstream investors and entrepreneurs already consider Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a legitimate asset class.

3. There is only a limited amount of Bitcoin – There are only 21 million Bitcoin tokens to be mined and no new tokens will appear until after 2140. This makes Bitcoin a deflationary currency whose value increases naturally with time.

Source here.

This is totally correct. A lot of people are learning about bitcoin because of this. A lot of people already became rich because of bitcoin, and a lot more would be rich. Bitcoin opened a lot of opportunities to those people who's dream is to become rich. Bitcoin price will still increase because of it's high market demand. Which is in favor of those who already have bitcoin.
767  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: August 30, 2017, 04:55:55 AM
What is the best solution to resolve our problem in overpopulation?

Over population is a world-wide issue, almost all countries face this problem. I think discipline, self-awareness and knowledge is the key to solve this problem. Because no matter what law the government implements, they can't monitor or even stop people from reproducing. It's best if they would let people be aware of the effect over population.
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is the best way to invest? on: August 30, 2017, 03:42:30 AM
Do you think ICO is the best way to invest in?

I think it is the best time to buy potential coins during ICO, because during ICO some offers incentives where you can buy more coins or buy coins at lesser price. But, before investing make sure to learn about the coin and it's project to avoid frustration after ICO. Always make a survey and study before investing into something.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unsuccessful ICO - Terrible experience and what you can learn from it on: August 29, 2017, 05:51:07 PM
Hello!

I would be interested in stories about ico's that didn't work out. (Maybe the project it self had great potential)

What are the main reasons why an ico can become unsuccessful?

On what ico startups need to watch out before they go live?

The theory about ico's is perfectly clear to me, but like with everything in life, theory is one thing and real experience the other. I do believe that failures are a very good sources to learn from. My personal experience is that in many cases people do learn more from failure examples than from success examples.

I ask for unsuccessful ico stories because my company will soon launch an ico for our 2 projects: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2129844.msg21279456#msg21279456 and I would like to avoid "mistakes" that could possible turn out to be unsucessful.

>>> List:

- Make sure your website is secure, i.e don't get 'hacked'
- Make sure your ETH or BTC address doesn't change on your homepage
- You should have a good design
- Detailed whitepaper
- List of team members with their previous projects and social profiles
- If you distribute tokens through web or client software, make sure that those products are rock solid and secured against possible threats
- You should recruit some people who have been popular in this forum for your ICO team
- You must have a fund for first development
- Create a detailed roadmap too, and don't delay it
- Always provide a working and secure product
- Do not focus only on getting fund

Well this are good lists, I had joined a campaign before and the team was composed of popular people here in this campaign. But, the ICO didn't end up well. There were a lot of supporters during their ICO but only 1/4 of the coins were sold during the ICO. I wonder what went wrong, maybe it's because there's a lot of ICO going on every day, is it because of competition?
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know and learn an ico project. on: August 29, 2017, 05:30:48 PM
Hi, friend. I want to ask, how to find out and learn about ico projects that give hope for the future. What steps should I take.
I mean to invest not to fail.

You can learn through this site or even visit their main site to know more about ICO's. But, I think experience will teach you great things. It's really hard to speculate whether projects will hold a great future after ICO's. There are some famous project who didn't bloom even during their ICO's. The best way I think is to survey and research first before investing.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thoughts about my portfolio on: August 28, 2017, 08:42:51 PM
Hey guys,

I am quite new here on the forum, and in the crypto world as well.
A few week ago i invested some money for long term, i am planning to hold a few years.

Just curious what you think about my portfolio right now:

40% Bitcoin

7% Waves
7% Dash
7% Stratis
7% Shift
7% 0x
7% BNB

4% NEO
4% QTUM
4% ARK

2% VIA
2% SIA
1% CVC
1% OAX

The first weeks are going quite well, with like a 10% ROI.

What do you guys think? what is missing? what about the ratio? any suggestions?

Feel free to discuss

I think your portfolio looks good. I think you'll gain a lot of profit in the long run if you have a good ROI on the first week. Just keep an eye on the market. Try to expand your investments, but I'm not quite sure which coins are worth to keep, dump and invest. Congrats and good luck on your portfolio.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: August 28, 2017, 08:05:29 PM
What do you think about LTC? Its price go up soon?
Is this time to buy LTC?

It depends on the demand, usually altcoin price drops when bitcoin price rises. Most altcoins where dumped because most people are taking advantage of bitcoin's price. I think you should wait until bitcoin price becomes stable before buying any coins. Anyway if you want you can buy coins that has good potential when it's cheap and wait for it to get pumped.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEST ETHERIUM WALLET TO RECIEVE TOKEN BOUNTIES? on: August 28, 2017, 07:29:43 PM
what shall I use to receive any token or erc20 token  from altcoins bounty campaigns. what should etherium wallet  to be use?  I don't have a pc so don't recommend me .exe files  , I only need for android or online. thank you...

I think most people who join signature campaigns use myetherwallet. A lot of people use it because it's secured because of it's private key. It's really easy to use and it's hassle free. You should try and check it. Just try to go online once in a while. It might be hard for you to access it, if you're just using your phone.
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I put all my BTC and ETH to XRP (Ripple) on: August 28, 2017, 06:54:25 PM
I put all my BTC and ETH to XRP (Ripple)
- marketcap from 114 billion to 74 billion.

I think my btc and eth getting a huge dump the following weeks.

https://steemit.com/ripple/@boxxl/why-i-m-not-selling-my-ripple-xrp

This is one of the reason I don't keep a lot of altcoins. There's a lot of alt coin and most of the are just shit coins, only few are stable and worth investing. Maybe I will just focus on bitcoin for this whole year and might invest on altcoins when bitcoin price becomes steady. I'm reading a lot of complains and speculations about altcoins everywhere, and it's making me confused which altcoin is good for investment.
775  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: If BTC reach $5k, withdraw niyo na ba? on: August 26, 2017, 11:33:18 AM
sa tingin niyo guys kung umabot yun value ng bitcoin sa $5k withdraw niyo na ba sa fiat money o hold niyo lng yun bitcoin niyo??

Depende siguro, para sa akin kasi ang bitcoin ay long-term investment. Siguro kung mangyayari ito few months before the end of 2017 hindi muna siguro. Kasi marami ang nag ppredict na tataas pa ang value ng bitcoin hanggang sa end ng 2017. Pero as long as hindi ko pa naman kailangan ng pera, ihohold ko muna lahat ng bitcoin ko.
776  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you eat a human? on: August 26, 2017, 11:17:29 AM
What if it was the sacrificed child of your enemy? What if it gave you secret powers? What if it held the key to world domination? Would you do it? Would you eat another person?

I think if when I'm on a life and death situation, I would be able to do it. I think it's our nature to find ways to survive, if it's the only thing to do to survive I would still consider eating some one who's about to die and I'll make sure to cook it well because I might get sick. If I'm going to have a super  power through it, why not!
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: August 26, 2017, 10:56:40 AM
I am just wondering if you still would gamble if you would have enough money? I mean, now as it is, do you gamble for the fun or for the profit?

I think I would still gamble but not really to earn money. I would still gamble to socialize and to have fun. Gambling already helped me a lot in terms of socializing. I met a lot of good friends who have the same hobby as mine. And it also helped me a lot to relax after a week of work. Gambling is a good way to relieve stress.

779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when we hit 21,000,000 bitcoins? on: August 26, 2017, 09:59:38 AM
This morning I was talking about this with a buddy of mine.

Right now we have miners all over the world trying to solve this exponentially hard algorithm to earn their bitcoins. That is their incentive and that is what drives them to do so.

What happens when we remove that incentive to "mine" aka "verify transactions" on the blockchain? What I'm basically asking is what happens when we hit 21,000,000 bitcoins from the perspective of the miners?

I think if we reach that mark there would be no more bitcoin to mine, I don't know what will happen to it's price if all bitcoins were mined. I hope that it will have a positive impact to those who are holding bitcoin. Or maybe another another coin would come up, I think it will just keep going. It's like an endless cycle.
780  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: August 23, 2017, 07:13:49 PM
why so many people store their bitcoin in their wallet for a long time, whether the benefits will they get?

Come share your thoughts

People are saving their bitcoin because bitcoin price is still increasing, just imagine if you've saved some bitcoin and when it doubles it's price after a month, it's also the same as you've doubled your money too. I think that bitcoin is a good investment and that it will grow as time goes by.
