7601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 26, 2021, 08:27:47 PM

weeeeeeeeee pumping downnnnn? lol

Looks like the bears are feeling confident enough to start placing shorts again. The bear trap is set and the prey is in sight. I think it’s about time for another squeeze to teach people why exchanges offer the option of trading with leverage. Like I told my buddy yesterday, if you think the price of Bitcoin is going down, zoom out on the chart. We’re about to have a 100 day run they’ll be studying about for decades to come. Buckle up.
7602  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden devolved on: August 26, 2021, 06:36:22 PM
With the recent loss of American life in Kabul as a result of Joe Biden’s “leadership” I honestly think he should consider stepping down. His pullout was stupid, everyone knew it was stupid, and Americans died. This is the sort of act of incompetence that should find him in a jail cell, not the White House. I honestly think Joe Biden is the worst President America ever had, and I fear the amount of damage he’s going to be able to do while in office.
7603  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 25, 2021, 07:36:38 PM
I’m not feeling the FOMO yet. There’s still plenty of bears out there and we’re likely still 2-3 months away from an ETF approval. Wait until Halloween if you want to see what FOMO looks like. You’ll be reading about people mortgaging their house and taking out private loans to buy Bitcoin. I think we’ll see a >$10,000 gain in a single day before this is all over.
7604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 25, 2021, 07:12:46 PM
Those gambling streams are pretty ridiculous. The streamers are usually open about the fact they’re being paid to gamble with house money and nobody should be so reckless with their own money. Still, you know there’s kids out there bankrupting their families trying to win big so they can be the next big twitch streamer. I guess it’s a better use of money then donating to the girls licking microphones on twitch.
7605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: August 25, 2021, 07:10:17 PM
I’m not even sure who I think will win. I feel like Jake Paul might lose this one, even though Dana White was pretty clear that Woolley is past his prime and unable to win in the fighting sport he’s a professional in. I don’t think Jake has ever faced such an opponent and I think he’ll be surprised how tough he is. Still, I’d love to see him win so the shit show can continue.
7606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 25, 2021, 09:34:27 AM
Pat Beverly is still not settled in a team yet? lol. I think no one wants this guy anymore, but sure if he will be traded with the Lakers and he would play what the team's needed him to play, then for sure he might stay for a while, and who knows, he might also win a championship.

Together with Howard, I guess they'll be the bad boys on the floor.
Patrick Beverley was traded to the Timberwolves one week ago. I don't know if the Wolves have a plan to trade him, but it seems that he is still not added to their roster. Regarding the Lakers, I guess they would rather sign Isaiah Thomas than Pat.

The chance for Thomas is much bigger than Pat being acquired by Lakers, LeBron is more interested with how Isaiah will help them
giving some additional offensive threats.

Though still an open deal for Lakers if they see some value for Pat which can be use as a good defensive stoppers.

Still not included with the Timberwolves roster but with his past tweets after the trade he's looking forward to play with the wolves
just don't have any updates if wolves have other plans for him.

I don’t like Patrick Beverly at all and don’t think he should be in the NBA. That being said, Patrick Beverly is a much better player than Thomas. Thomas has never been the same since his injury in Boston and Pat Bev is still one of the elite defenders of the NBA. LeBron wants to win above all else. I doubt he’d want IT over Bev. It would be a good move for the Lakers to show they treat players much better than Boston…
7607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's gonna buy Tesla using Bitcoin? on: August 25, 2021, 12:59:44 AM
With the expected delays of the cybertruck, I’d probably buy a model 3 so I can play around with the self driving beta until I can get my hands on the cybertruck. That is, is Elon accepted Bitcoin. Trading Bitcoin for a Tesla is one thing, selling your Bitcoin for fiat to buy a car just seems dirty. I’ll continue to wait Elon, but the clock is definitely ticking.
7608  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 24, 2021, 07:24:57 PM
First shot at blasting past $50K was a head fake.  Let's get one more head fake in there to let the bears feel empowered before shooting to a new ATH.  I'm guessing within 45 days we'll be seeing a >$60K Bitcoin as it shoots past the former ATH headed straight for $135K by December...  At this point, I would honestly be surprised if this isn't what we see happen, as everything is falling into place perfectly the way it seems to magically do every 4 years for the market to see a massive bubble with a blow off top.  Makes you wonder if we're really witnessing math or manipulation.
7609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did I do the right thing? I bought shares of MicroStrategy. on: August 24, 2021, 07:19:11 PM
My advice would be to be careful about your diversification.  If you're holding Bitcoin already, and then your brokerage account is full of shares of MicroStrategy & Coinbase, then you're more or less putting all of your eggs in one basket.  MicroStrategy is basically a leveraged Bitcoin play at this point and for most people who don't have Bitcoin exposure, is probably a good addition to a portfolio.  Just don't forget to be exposed to all other investment types as well.  Bitcoin is cool and might be the best investment still by a long shot, but diversification will make your life much more care free.
7610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 24, 2021, 07:06:42 PM
I would say that if they got one more player for SG that would have been awesome, more correctly get a proper one instead of someone else. I mean think about it, they could play Westbrook, Lebron, Melo, AD all together a fifth person that is as star as those names would make things so much better.

I still think that Melo will be given the leadership of the second unit but that is still a great situation for him as well because he would be the 6th man of a team that is fighting for a title and he may even get a lot of minutes (just after a few seasons ago where he wasn't even wanted and couldn't find a contract) if someone gets injured and he is required to play a lot of minutes.

I think Dwight Howard is the 5th star.  His presence was sorely missed in the postseason last year for the Lakers.  I think had they kept him and signed another veteran free agent last year instead of signing Harrell they would have probably gotten past the Suns and made a run for the title.  I'm glad to see they went out and corrected this issue.  Dwight has flashes of his former hall of fame self and he no doubt alters the game on the defensive end.  Sure, it would be great to see them grab another good player perhaps after a buyout.  As much as I'd hate to see it, Patrick Beverly is one name being floated around at the moment.
7611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 24, 2021, 10:54:40 AM
Every new team adjustment/roster is an experiment. But I think this Lakers team is kinda over stacked, and there might be some conflicts on playing style with these veteran superstars. It's all up to them on how the players is going to adjust with the Lakers and LeBron system.
I hope Melo and Ariza will fit with the current Laker roster.

In the case of the Lakers, it's not an experiment. There is no room for experiments as these veterans are already used to that. They will know how to adjust and form chemistry at the Lakers. These players know each other very well already. Melo and Ariza are no way to play with a mindset that they will carry the team. They will surely follow what Lebron or Russ plays.

If these veterans are new players then I can call it an experiment but it's not.

There will be no conflicts too. Russ already said that he will allow Lebron to be the playmaker.

Experiments is a sense that this is the first time that this players are going to play together, Lebron, WB and Melo. So technically, they will need to feel each other but being a veteran, it will help a lot and loosen this experiment in the early stages. And they know their places, Lebron being the franchise, WB and Melo and AD as support to form one of the biggest team that we have seen in recent memories.

Only about 6 weeks until we get the see the go at it in preseason. I know they’re playing in the Staples center, and against the Nets I believe. I couldn’t find information on which television network will be carrying it yet, but I’ll be looking forward to seeing that game along with the rest of the fans of NBA basketball.
7612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and interest rates and defi yielding gains on: August 24, 2021, 05:39:01 AM
Grabbing the bottom of CAKE and staking it recently definitely would have yielded a nice return that will likely continue to amaze for quite some time.  While those projects are likely to continue the boom bust cycle with their outrageous interest rates via the staking pools, you can't argue with the massive returns they provide when you jump into them at the right times.  I can see why they've become so popular.  Even their websites are usually full of artwork and games marketed to their user base that provide a great interaction.  Smiley
7613  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Antminer Bitmain S19 Pro, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 at cheap price on: August 24, 2021, 05:35:21 AM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti........$200 USD
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.....$300 USD
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090......$500 USD

Could you imagine if those prices were real?  How many units do you think he'd sell on this forum in a day?  I'm guessing several hundred or possibly thousand.  I know I'd have a hard time not grabbing 10 of each immediately and figuring out what to do with them later.  While this forum doesn't moderate scams, there should be some sort of downvote or something to keep threads like this from bouncing around.  I guess the best course of action is to ignore them, but sometimes like in this case they are so blatant it's almost amusing.
7614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: August 24, 2021, 05:28:07 AM
I didn't know that "sexy casinos" were a thing until now.  I don't see why anyone would have a problem with it.  Have you ever been to Las Vegas?  The outfits the employees of those casino bars wear would get you kicked out of a lot of establishments.  In a world where sex sells, you have to expect it.  I'd rather be looking at a hot chick while I gamble then not and while I can't say it would keep me on a website longer, I'm sure there's science behind it showing it likely would.  Can't fault them for taking advantage.
7615  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can politics be pure? on: August 23, 2021, 11:22:06 PM
Can politics be beyond dirty  game? Can their be politics with no hate or envy of opposition

How could such a thing even be achieved?

For example, Nancy Pelosi is worth roughly $200 million dollars after a ~30 year career in politics. Accounting for income taxes and assuming she never spent a dollar, then you see you would have to pay her $10 million dollars per year to get her to do her job without needing to play the “dirty game” in order to meet her wealth desires. That’s a 50x pay increase. The question becomes are we willing to pay our leaders as much as our professional athletes in order for them to not be crooked politicians?
7616  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Don't buy "wallet.dat" files with lost passwords; EXCHANGE THEM. on: August 23, 2021, 10:17:03 PM
Why would anyone want to buy a wallet.dat file when the owners failed to remember the wallet password?

Ignorance mostly...  I'm certain that 99% of these types of sales are just the wallet owner wanting to make some extra money so they encrypt their wallet with a super strong password and sell it to ignorant users who think they might have stumbled on a lottery ticket.  Sort of like selling covered call options, only in this case it is impossible for the option to be exercised by the buyer.  I'd also liken it to Bitcoin mining for idiots, as solving a block is not only more likely but in most cases also more profitable.  In other words, it is how an idiot would try to "mine" Bitcoin.
7617  Economy / Collectibles / Re: PCGS now grading crypto!!! ?? on: August 23, 2021, 10:08:56 PM

Indeed.  I remember one of the big selling points of Bitcoin back then was the option to send transactions without a fee.  That led many people to develop businesses that undercut the existing system and really made Bitcoin special for the entire world.  It wasn't until years later when wallet developers stopped allowing users the option of sending with 0 fees and then capped the blocksize that fees went nuts and nearly all of the original businesses that made Bitcoin popular were forced off chain to develop their own solutions or go out of business.  If you were lucky enough to be using Bitcoin in 2011, it was an amazing experience that was certain to change the world and you are probably not reading this because you've moved on to other less restrictive projects where that might still be possible.  As for PCGS, they'll someday learn why grading physical crypto coins is a terrible idea and other grading services have stopped doing it.
7618  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you decided what you want to be? on: August 23, 2021, 03:59:22 AM
I think that of all things an individual could want or choose to aspire to become, being happy is the best option. Whether that happiness comes from your career, family, hobbies, whatever… Just choose to be happy and enjoy the ride while you still have time on this spinning rock. You never know when you’ll hit that black screen on this game.
7619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 23, 2021, 01:59:36 AM
$50K! Here we go! If the media attention can propel adoption towards a new high in BTC price then we might be on the cusp of the moonshot we’ve all been waiting for. I’m sure it’ll take 2 or three shots above $50K to cement us heading up from here, but once a new ATH breaks it’s buckle up time.
7620  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If the Taliban enforces Sharia law in Afghanistan, what will the West do? on: August 23, 2021, 01:57:14 AM
What is this “if” talk. The taliban will aggressively try to force their views on the rest of the world now and the women in Afghanistan were most certainly left to fend for themselves by Joe Biden’s decision to pull out without any thought or real plan. It will be challenging for the US to ever find allies that will trust us again in a similar circumstance. Women are already disappearing from public view in Afghanistan…
