7601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 10 ICO TO INVEST IN THIS MOMENT@@@@only promissing project on: July 25, 2017, 08:18:31 AM
Hey Guys i would like to know your top 10 ico to invest right now there are many icos but soon most of them will be scam. i m planing to invest $100 in every promissing project

Thank you
Just been said above we cant pinpoint directly a good ICO since most of them do have the same concept but as far as I saw on the current project who do have ICO, I would go for Bowhead ( Involves on Health) & TribeToken. $100 might not be much to invest but still better if you do make move that amount. If you are really serious and quiet on doubt then reading their whitepaper would really make you interested in.
7602  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in Economics class? on: July 25, 2017, 03:37:20 AM
Well am yet to see an academic institutions that will introduce bitcoin as part of their course work or their educational curriculum, even as at the time I was in the college studying economics it was not part of our courses but if introduced it will go a long way in helping more people to gain knowledge about crypto currency.
It will surely help out for adoption to increase even more since its been already teached and been included on the curriculum the main concern here is that those department of education would really consider this stuff? Knowing that they are on pro-government rules which they would really need an approval on it and thinking off that not all governments do really like bitcoin therefore chances would be somehow 50-50 if it would be implemented or not.
7603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think 100% fan speed harm the fan? on: July 25, 2017, 03:12:13 AM
I talked to 2 fan sellers, they both said that there was no different between 70% and 100%. If this is true, I would like set the GPU fan speed to 100% to make GPU cooler, what do you think about it?

 Clueless sellers.

The higher speed DOES increase wear on the bearings (or on the SEALS for sleeve-type and variant-sleeve-type fans like Rifle and FDS etc).

This WILL cause them to wear out faster.

It's not a cut-and-dried thing as to HOW MUCH faster they will wear out, though - in particular on fans that NEED seals temperature also plays a factor.

Fan sellers will surely told such thing because they would love for you to buy fans over and over again since those fans who are set in 100% will really worn out soo fast compared to those who ran on a lesser percentage. If i were you for OP, better listen to those people who suggested on here since most people here do have experience when it comes to mining. You should lessen up the fan speed, they are just the same better to go below 80%.
7604  Other / MultiBit / Re: Did I get robbed? Please help on: July 24, 2017, 10:00:44 AM
Do you have seed ?
"Yes" Your just fine
can recover it when ever you want.

if there is seed that's it game over.
True,as long you do have the seed or keys you will able to access those bitcoins and as been said above ^^ try yo search the address and see if the funds are still intact. If it does then it should be fine, if its transferred already on other address then its quiet suspicious already. Multibit do have lots of issues regarding locked wallet/wrong password and they do really react so very slow until now it isn't still resolved.
7605  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you tech me please, What is ICO? on: July 24, 2017, 09:02:57 AM
ICO is a strategy to scam people like when they ask you to send them your coins to double them, all are possible because of ETH and blockchains like it. there I just taught you in details but will you have enough or just going to get scammed or scam people after learning?
Very well said but there are ICOs which are still promising though even its already famous when it comes to scam purposes. If you aren't aware or careless enough how to spot a scam ICO then you will surely lost your money. Back to topic, ICO is crowdfunding which a certain project do need funds in able to established or develop it and when it succeed then its really an advantage for those who have invested their money on.
7606  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: The lagest Bitcoin mixer is about to stop working on: July 24, 2017, 03:40:45 AM
~snip~
If they did recommend or somehow advertise bitmixer then probably this would be the cause of such immediate closure of this mixing service. I was little bit shocked that this site decided to close its doors to early saying that its just their own personal reasons but well we dont know whats actually the truth thing behind this but after reading this i can say that theres a possibility or links regarding on this situation. Better to stop early before government will caught you.
7607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking back at really old transactions at today's value? on: July 24, 2017, 03:08:31 AM
Hey guys, do you ever look back at really old bitcoin transactions you made and see how much they are worth in today's value? Sometimes I like doing that. For instance, I look at some Super Bowl bets I made years ago and now some of them are like 3-5k. The dollar amount back then that was being bet was very small.

I was talking to about this to a friend of mine and he has a few lunches that he was paid back for in BTC that are now also worth several thousands of dollars.

Any good stories you guys have?  My friend got 500 BTC as a wedding present when they were $1 each. It came with a card that said "This is either going to be worth a ton of money one day, or I'm the dumbest person ever".

That is how I first heard about bitcoin.

I dont have these kind of experience since im not those earliest adopters of bitcoin and its really amazing on thinking on the things on the past on where you are transacting big amounts of bitcoin since you know its just cheap on those days and those friend of yours do got the right prediction and been curios what happen to those 500 bitcoins as a gift as of these days? The owner would really be rich as of now for sure.
7608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Build a dice game with me on: July 24, 2017, 02:34:57 AM
Can somebody give me a good idea of how much it would cost to create a dice game on my website?
Its not really too costly since dice scripts is just cheap as far as i know but i cant exactly give the price range but im sure it affordable. Can i know the site on where you would put the dice game? You can search of some programmers/developers here. Good luck for searching.
7609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alts fall, Bitcoin falls ... where is the money going? on: July 23, 2017, 02:58:21 PM
Hi

Thread title says it basically.

Almost all Altcoins are currently falling, which means they are dumped for Bitcoins.

So Bitcoins should be bought and therefore rising => but they are also falling.

Why is that?
Its not really necessary for those who sold their alts just to buy bitcoins since some of those holders do tend to sell off for cashing out on fiat without the plan on putting or buying again on bitcoin and they are not always been correlated which means random dips and rises would really be seen. If you see reds either on bitcoin or alts then just one thing to be say on which people are switching out to fiat.
7610  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Secondary Password NOT WORKING! on: July 23, 2017, 02:04:03 PM
i can crack your second password
please contact me on jigspatel721[at]yahoo[dot]com

thank you.
Newbie account proposing that you can able to crack his password? Even the owners isn't still sure on his password how much more on you. This is somehow a bug on blockchain I don't know if its already been resolved as of now of not yet resolved since this issue is already a number of months as of now. I didn't experience such thing though. Secondary password always been fine for my part.
7611  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Send Bitcoins Without Fees [No Miner Fees] on: July 23, 2017, 12:48:31 PM
for now i can't find any bitcoin wallet service that charges no transaction/network fees for sending bitcoin but please whichever one any of us comes across should be posted here immediately to update this thread...

 Cool

Any progress on this matter Huh
As far as I know, no reputed wallet service providers are not supporting no-fee out-transactions for their customers. Probably switching over to off-chian transactions could be a solutions for you if you are deliberately needing zero fee transactions and you are processing some big number of transactions daily.

Xapo to Xapo and coinbase to coinbase transactions are coming with zero fees. You can ask what wallet a person is using and when you are paying them, you can use same wallet type as per him and by asking them to switch over to one single wallet type can be a long term solutions for you.

C-cex to c-cex (they are exchanges and NOT an wallet service providers) can be done in off-chain mode or by using code also.
These are only the possible ways to use if you do really hate fees which making transactions directly on these exchange wallets but not possible on those web wallets exist online. I cant really think off on a wallet which do charge free on making transfers. Coinbase and xapo do offer these things in the past which they do patch up the fees for their users but as of now they are charging already some fees which is sad.
Sending bitcoins does need fees for it to be confirmed and no one would already patch it up for free considering fees are already high.
7612  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Dota 2 play for money on: July 23, 2017, 10:24:14 AM

This is my project https://cyber-lobby.com/ a platform for playing DotA 2 for money, I have an idea how to make it more popular and thought out with the help of a blockchain.

What do you think of it?
When I do click the link I cant really understand on the words being written there since its not on English language and even I do try to translate it, I cant do it since its not available. How can I do read regarding on this situation? Seems like this is a sports betting site which do focus on e-sports because the main games are Dota 2 and CS:GO. Please do make some changes about language matters.
7613  Economy / Economics / Re: bip 91 locks in!!! on: July 23, 2017, 05:57:14 AM
Segwit2x has been locked-in and we expect for significant increase of bitcoin price, but it seems persist at $2609-$2700 right now.
Bitcoin won't move for a while I guess, until some issues about bitcoin nodes are clear.
People who sell their bitcoin maybe seek for profit but I doubt bitcoin will drop back below $2500 again, better to hold up and wait for $3000 soon.
Keep your advice, I hope your prediction is correct. If there is not split chain the price will be 3000 that's in near time. Good news for bitcoin holders. I think it will effect to altcoin too. Yes, 2018 will be the world of cryptocurrency. Be happy to cryptoholders. are you ready to be miliionare?
Becoming to be a millionaire would really be possible but depending on what coins are you holding and if those have a potential then you would really get some huge money on that one. I'm really glad that bip 91 already locks in and I'm glad that there would be no split on bitcoin. Expect for the price to rise in upcoming weeks as I see but for now we are yet still stabilizing between these ranges.
7614  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Newbie here What is blockchain.info wallet ? on: July 21, 2017, 07:31:56 PM
Newbie here What is blockchain.info wallet ?

I read some where, it is not safe to store things on websites.

So is it safe ?

What is this site ?

can some one please explain to me ? Huh

is this question serious or is this just commercial?!  Cheesy
No, it wont be a commercial since almost people on this forum does know about blockchain.info but yet there are still some newbie do really have blank knowledge about this one. You can actually search up on what is blockchain.info and google is always your friend and also just read the FAQs you will already answer your question but since OP do made questions then I would answer. Blockchain.info is an online web wallet which you can purely make it to store/send/receive bitcoin, its isn't an exchange wallet or whatsoever.
7615  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Transfer keys between USBs on: July 21, 2017, 03:18:58 AM
As soon as you connect your USB disk to your computer, the Operating System and any program that is running on it can have access to your USB disk data (unless it is blocked by Anti virus or something). And it is not hard for a malware to copy itself on your USB disk (infect it so to speak) or read and copy its data.

For example if it is a bitcoin specific malware it can read your USB, analyze the files to see if it can find a wallet file, a list of private keys, ... and using those private keys it can broadcast it to the attacker or sweep them!

If you want to transfer sensitive information like your private keys, then do it on a clean and "air tight gapped sorry, my English sucks sometimes!" computer. You can use a live linux without persistence which is disconnected from the internet.

1. Make sure your computer clean from virus/rat. scan it first by antivirus, antikeylogger, etc
2. Turn off internet connection.
3. Make folder with different name on your other USB disk.
4. You can copy it safe now.
These things i would definitely do specially if those keys contained lots of bitcoins you will surely think up on secure transfer or copy of the key which n one could able to see non whats your doing. First of all having a clean computer free from virus would be really advisable and at the same time turn off  internet since most remote viruses do really move on this way which do rely on internet connection to send out informations to its hacker.
7616  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: which is the best? Blockchain or Coinbase. on: July 21, 2017, 02:46:52 AM
I dont know why some people do choose coinbase rather on blockchain? They are just seeing on the feature that you can able to buy and sell bitcoin on coinbase and yes its possible since its an exchange which  blockchain is just really a pure web wallet but in terms of security i will really go for blockchain.info (hands down) incase they stop operate you can still have access on your bitcoin since you do have the private key.
7617  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase the next Mt Gox? on: July 20, 2017, 10:21:11 AM
Finally after almost a month I got a response from Coinbase support today!
They said they will work to get me access to my account and funds. Will keep post updated with information.

It's been a month. Any progress?
Coinbase do really sucks. One month response from their support is very horrible. I would like to know the progress too and those being posted above about those issues. OMG that's quiet a lot already and I don't know if they are being resolved or not by coinbase team. This is really an indication that they will really becoming MT Gox  later on  Cheesy
7618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should I do? on: July 20, 2017, 09:31:46 AM
Ok so here's the thing

I have a few bitcoins on btce.com and a few on a [Suspicious link removed] wallet and I've noticed the price dropped really fast the last week.
Me being a newbie and didn't quite know what was going on read something about segwit and hardfork
I learned that it would be wise not to leave the bitcoins on btce but store them somewhere else.
Is blockchain a good wallet to store the coins in during the hardfork? Or should I get another wallet?
When the coin splits I obviously want to end up with both the old an the new coin of course.

Or does someone maybe have a better idea what I should do with them?

It's not a whole lot in total, it's about 0.15 BTC or so

Yes, this is correct. Segwit2x will be implemented to the blockchain on August 1 and this (may) cause a hard fork to happen. The best method to secure yourself from this is to buy up a hardware wallet and store your Bitcoins on that along with the private key being next to you and only accessible by you.
Buying hardware wallet would really be more costly for him seeing on his bitcoin possession it wont really be worth it just to buy that hardware for little amounts. I think it would be safer if he would use desktop wallet which you can still have the access on your private key and incase if theres a split or none atleast you do have your bitcoin and if it would need some update then its the best thing on always follow the instruction on which veteran members here saying.
7619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying and Selling Cryptocurrencies on: July 20, 2017, 08:30:29 AM
thanks habBear.

Can anyone tell me a little about selling/exchanging/withdrawing?

I want to know if it is typically always possible to sell at a moments notice? Will people still be buying when the price of a currency has just risen? Is that even how it works or must be done?

Can one exchange between a less common cryptocurrency and BTC, ETH or another major coin at any point?
Talking about selling at buying there are not typical moments that you would able to do such act but only on to your self only and no one really knows if we did bought a particular currency to its price peak or not and this is how trading works and this is the hardest part too which we cant really predict on price movements but if you do trade with proper knowledge and precautions you will eventually make money depending on how you gonna trade. Exchanges do work on that way which you would exchange into an other coins by the use of bitcoin depending if they do have exchange pair... lets say BTC to ETH you decide to buy Monero.. You would need to exchange your ETH->BTC-> Monero since you cant directly change monero to ETH.
7620  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 20, 2017, 03:27:20 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin
Follow your mind and heart on what they are saying. If you feel that bitcoin would make you rich then go for it but be prepared always on the risk involve on it since in bitcoin world theres no guarantee that it will go it together with our plans knowing that price is too volatile and things can happen on an instant or in a short period of time. If you can still able to manage your time then better to engage on both things which is the thing im doing right now.
