7621  Other / Off-topic / Re: <Serious Topic> Where have all the birds gone? on: January 26, 2016, 06:34:56 AM
Well, when I was a child I was told that birds fly to warmer climates for the winter.
I wonder what parents tell kids in those warm climates when they don't see the birds. Maybe they show them pictures with penguins.

I had flocks of nonmigratory birds all last winter till early spring, but nada till the other day. I do see stray sparrows and a hawk now and then, not counting way fewer than normal geese heading north on the coldest days late last year.

I wonder if the filament covering the Earth has anything to do with the decline of the bird population. We need to send a rocket up to examine the filament.
7622  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Leroy Fodor has gone Full-Delusional; StakeMiners is 100% confirmed insolvent! on: January 26, 2016, 06:28:01 AM
Not only can't Leroy Fodor do simple math, he can't tell time.

Time in the Philippines is GMT+8, not GMT-12.

Last week's earnings: 2.33146256 BTC
This week's earnings: 1.50697749 BTC

A 64.636572589% decline.

Quote
Earnings - Earnings fell from 0.58% last week to 0.56%, a decline of 0.02%.

That's a decline of .02 percentage points, not .02%. The effective decline percentage is 3.448275862%.

Also, the correct spelling of thier is their, and the correct spelling of stking is staking (unless you meant steaking or streaking)

He's not posting the 120+ BTC number anymore but if you use the 0.58% and 0.56% numbers you get this:

2.33146256 / 0.0058 = 402 BTC
1.50697749 / 0.0056 = 269 BTC

I think he may have misplaced the decimal separator here and it's actually 5.8% and 5.6% respectively, meaning 40.2 BTC asset value last week and 26.9 BTC asset value this week (which would make sense considering what happened to NET). So in Leroy's world of bizarre math the declining asset value makes earnings look better. Because he would conveniently forget to mention said decline. Bravo.

Leroy Fodor: Please forgive me, all. I was just averaging to make it simpler. I promise to not do that again. Same true with the Philippines time being off. I was just averaging. And, if you average all my lies together, you get one giant average lie.

To be fair, Leroy Fodor is the only person in the universe that can garner satoshis worth of cryptocurrency over a course of only three months, using the newfound wealth to build the largest bitcoin mining farm in all the Philippines while conducting seminars across the islands showing other Filipinos how they, too, can achieve the same thing. It'll always be a universal secret as to why nary a soul that Leroy helped build their mega farm never came forward in his defense to... Nevermind! Just figured that out. None had yet friend Leroy on Facebook, hence missing the memo request to give StakeMiners Ponzi a 5 rating like Leroy's pieces of shit Facebook family and friends did. HAHAHA

Bit era under the Shenzhen-dimensional Network Limited, is a collection of information and trading platform for the integration of digital currency. From its inception in May 2013, a professional management team, strict financial management system, attentive service in the industry won a good reputation. Founding team worked in Tencent, the Bank of China office, has many years of Internet experience. The company also owns the gift shop era manners, public financial management platform to raise age laps.

So much for getting any viable info from btc38 given they're probably in the same bed with Paul Vernon and Marshall Long enjoying evening pillow fights.

Well, at least I have the following:

Main Event:
2014-07-29 13:17:36   Block 313009 https://blockchain.info/tx/c7b46a79fd8887038bd3a8e884b04820038415a60e0b9d2c2f5bcff68a2687bf

Cryptsy's New Wallet:
2014-07-29 19:23:03   Block 313048  Initially funded with 0.63 BTC https://blockchain.info/tx/c453786bc1b5ad3ae16caffa36eab10f4147b8ad482ea0f63e6b184d28581106

Wow! That equates to 6 hours, 5 minutes and 27 seconds between the event and creation of Cryptsy's new wallet containing 134,498 addresses with 429,931 transactions (3.19656054365 txs per addy - including this stat makes me look smart like Leroy "HAHAHA" Fodor). Here's a harder problem: 817,725/259,276 = 3.15387849242 txs per addy for Cryptsy-old. Putting big numbers above small numbers are fun: 817,725/429,931 = 1.90199124976 or 190.199124976% more txs for Cryptsy's first year and a half of existence than its second half. Wow!

Has anyone exchanged email with paul recently? If so, please post the headers.

Unfortunately, we'll likely be limited in the info we can glean from these since Cryptsy seems to be using google mail for business.

"And the operator says: "Forty cents more, for the next three minutes."

This might be Cryptsy's wallet address: https://www.walletexplorer.com/address/1EwJQp83YAYT4BncbhTbcMJj1AnMPHqBXe

It was funded from here: https://www.walletexplorer.com/txid/269fa6cedc58ebf01be3cc11fa4172e9d8783686cf2338131a9641a0db7f4c4c

PLEASE NOTE: Any Cryptsy wallets that I find CAN NOT be used for refunds since my efforts for relaying such info is obvious meaningless stemming from a dude who's considered mentally unstable.

It's been a rough month in the crypto marketplace so let's hope for better in February.
Have a good week.

That's a decline of .02 percentage points, not .02%. The effective decline percentage is 3.448275862%.

Also, the correct spelling of thier is their, and the correct spelling of stking is staking (unless you meant steaking or streaking)

Here's an interesting tidbit: Neither Horus, as promised, nor 99.999979% of the ~300,000 users who have moneys stuck on Cryptsy are conducting blockchain analysis like, or anything close to what I have, a person who didn't have a single satoshi worth of any crypto on Cryptsy. I need to see a doctor to have his finger(s) stuck up my ass in seeing if I'm stable or not.

what is the point in putting all this transactions and screenshots?  no offense just wondering , i have myself lost some btc due to this but what is the intention?  i pretty much consider the little i had there lost for ever

To be honest, there's really no point at all. I'm just an old coot with nothing better to do with my life so I opted to exercise the hobby of seeking meaningless shit off the Internet and post such to increase my post count. If I'm lucky, Leroy Fodor will come along and quote this particular post to add cred to his StakeMiners Ponzi in furthering depicting me a useless fuck out to scam the community and extort venerable cryptocoiners like himself to make me stop my ridiculous onslaught.

That, and I aspire to be a creative writer some day like Leroy Fodor, foregoing attending Ohio University in Athens, OH, like he did where he earned his B.B.A.

You definitely get cred for using venerable in a post!

Do I have cred for accidentally discovering that Cryptsy's office was abuzz prior, during and after the event via the some random info I gleaned from the Internet, taking a screenshot to boot to make sure you guys know that it's probably just some random stuff?

To be honest... I have skipped passed that stuff... I know it means something -- I just can't wrap my head around it.
I have a small head.

Maybe this analogy will help you.

Pretend you work in an office where your job is to trade real ugly women 24/7 that stand in front of your desk. To the right (or left) stands a beautiful blonde that'll do anything for anybody and is worth millions. Your job is to make sure she doesn't go missing while you're doin' your other job of trading off the ugly women that keep approaching your desk for other ugly women, all the while staring at that blonde worth millions.

Question: How long would it take you to notice that she's missing given that there's a bell tied around her neck of her naked body that rung every time she moved? BTW, she's locked in a glass room so that nobody can touch her, yet she disappears anyway.

Oh, and I forgot to mention her five identical sisters not worth as much but still valuable, also in locked glass cages always within eyesight of you that may disappear first five hours prior to the million dollar baby going missing. Would you notice?

And, her valuable international beautiful naked cousins also in your office locked in glass cages that you're responsible for to make sure they don't turn up missing. Would you notice if they disappeared too?

yo gleb

Nobody would buy Craptsy... who would buy a failed ponzi-scheme exchange with a bad reputation?

If someone wanted to start their own exchange, it would be easier, cheaper, and safer to start from scratch than to buy Craptsy's broken system with pissed off customers for $10M...

I would say some people are still in the throes of Stage 3:

Cryptsy et al. will always be in the throes of Stage 1 even after the confection.
7633  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 25, 2016, 10:40:59 PM
there is value in this house itself : CRYPTSY

if it was penny stock exchange - value of such house would be in billions

if it would go under bankruptcy - lawyers would sell to highest bidders

you say : small coins have no value : how much bigger intrinsic value having diamonds, posts stamps and so on

by allowing lawyers to sell Cryptsy to someone for pennies ( possibly to competitor who would close Cryptsy )

by this action ( or inaction ) - allowing to sell Cryptsy for ZERO - we would confirm ( as you  say) that all altcoins have ZERO value

actually, best outcome for all coin holders would be survival of cryptsy

an option to convert altcoin deposits in stakes in the company or similar

this happens quite often in bankrupcies

but it must be transparent an under our control

IMHO this is possible

that would:

1.prevent deaths of smaller coins

2.give some remote chances for recovery of funds

ordinary bankruptcy - lawyers will take all

What part of Craptsy is bankrupt do people not understand?

There is no money... coins of value were stolen 19 months ago... Craptsy has maybe $100k worth of crapcoins to dole out, so be patient...

Dead coins are worthless because they are scams which were abandoned after the pump-n-dump... don't invest in them, so some research before throwing your money away...

you are right when say that bankrutcy is a bad option, but it is inevitable if some big investor does not buy it.

If Cryptsy wants to stay in business, they needs a lot of income, big volume, quick and effective support response,deposit/withdrawal works smooth, fast trade engine - everything Cryptsy lacked before hack

So every investor have to put a lot of money at start and give members reasonable plan how to pay debt - that is not likely at all

you are also right when you say that Cryptsy fall will mean certain death for a lot of small coins - but uncontrolablle putting coins on exchange is one of reasons for Cryptsy security was on such low level - they had only one man Mullick to maintain few hundred wallets which was completely insane. They hired ordinary people to give endless excuses for a technical problems they had, instead to hire qualified tech support to maintain such beast.

Also there is a quite big security risk that Cryptsy can be bought by some notoriuos scammers, which could exploit sensitive private info of their members given through AML or make Mintpal 2

I'm seeing a lot of transactions stemming form MintPal's known addresses going to and from Cryptsy leading up to the event... and continued thereafter.

Question: Can a person who embezzles his company file bankruptcy of said company after the fact?

Hey, hang on to them till this rumored guy down south who used to be in the Army at Fort Hood gets his altcoin crypto exchange up and running. Expect his forum to go live first with its mods later becoming devs and support for this new exchange, with a recent grad from law enforcement school leading the security team. Oh, and later support (trained by former support) will consist of folks versed in the porn and penny auction spaces. Exciting times ahead!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I think at the very end Cryptsy will finally shut down. Nobody that have been locked there for months will have any interest to start there again. In addition it would be very difficult to get new additional customer here.

The thing is, if the site was to open again with trading and deposits
allowed while keeping some wallets unable to withdraw till tx fees replenish
them, might sound bad to some.

There are a hell of a lot of users with funds tied up in there that the
majority of people would go for this.

All you have to think is do people want to see their  coins again, people will say yes.
Better some rescue plan for us all rather than nothing  in the end.

If the bank-run that happened never did, I have a feeling it would have worked
like has been said.

I know there is a TRUST thing to be got over, but if the cover up was indeed a last
ditch attempt to save  US ALL and was working, the finger should be pointed at the site that gave the
info that caused the bank-run and messed up the plan.

Now MOST of the story is out , where does it leave US ALL ?

If we should see the site become operational again we should all
be there to help , because we all have a stake in it , till ALL wallets
are open again for withdrawals.

I would rather see a trickle of my lost coins , knowing they are eventually
coming back to me , than nothing at all.

I would deposit too ( alt coins ) and if we all put the effort in, the faster
the recovery would be.

Bad mouthing is not going to help. ( At least till you know your money's
gone for good )

I concur! Let's give Paul Vernon and his crew another chance, for it's all been a misunderstanding. Mods, please lock this thread, and I hope you find it in your heart of hearts to find a place to sticky the wonderful prose I've quoted above.

Question: Why is your pretend COLD WALLET connected to a live network, thus negating the term COLD WALLET?

Prosecutor: Paul Vernon, please explain how a cold wallet is secure.
PV: Sure. Coins are put in a safe then locked, and the key is tossed into a live volcano.
Prosecutor: So, how were Cryptsy's coins stolen?

Fucking volcanos... I knew we couldn't trust them, what with all the smoke screens and spewing lava bullshit.

Main Event:
2014-07-29 13:17:36   Block 313009 https://blockchain.info/tx/c7b46a79fd8887038bd3a8e884b04820038415a60e0b9d2c2f5bcff68a2687bf

Wow!
