I don't remember the number of open campaigns being this low. A year ago there were so many of them that people were choosing and picking and posting about rates being too low or the rank requirements being too high. You could even get a campaign being a jr. or a member. Is the era of signature posting coming to an end?
Yeah, number of Bitcoin paying campaigns is small currently. I remember in past we had much more campaigns and some users were just jumping between campaigns to get highest payments. I don't think that era of signature campaigns come to the end. But rules have changed a bit. Now mostly campaigns choose to pay in their own tokens, because it doesn't cost them anything to make some tokens from thin air, while Bitcoin paying campaigns is quite expensive to run. One good thing when there are less Bitcoin paying campaigns - now they accept only decent posters.

Nice review. In past I read quite many reviews about Ledger Nano S or Trezor, so I didn't found something new on your article, but it may be useful for less experienced users. I have Nano S for almost 1 year and I'm satisfied with it. I like their New Ledger Live app, it's great, only disadvantage that it still support quite limited number of coins. But it's great that I'm not forced to use Chrome browser anymore to access Ledger addons. I'm waiting to see reviews about Bitbox and Kasse wallets. It's always good to see articles about less popular wallets. P.S. I don't think it's a good idea to ask for Merits

I would say that bounties can affect your reputation and number of Merits that you will get. Some people before awarding user with Merit check his post history. If he will see lot of bounty reports in your post history, it's likely that he wont give Merit. If you don't want to be callet Twitbook spamner, before joining social media campaign be sure that reports should be made in Google forms. As mdayonliner said, participation in signature campaigns shouldn't affect your reputation. If you are making good posts, you will receive Merit as every normal user of Bitcointalk. No matter you wear signature or no. Just be sure that you don't advertise scams or something illegal in your signature, otherwise you will get big red tag under your username.

Interesting things in La Liga tonight. Barca lost against Leganes 2:1, and I would say that that Leganes deserved to win because they were a better team, especially in 2nd half. I can't understand Valverde decision why Vermaelen played left back, it's not his position! And Pique had another awful match in a row. And Real loosing against Sevilla 2:0 at 35 minute. Such result would be a perfect gift to Barca EDIT Sevilla was very close to score 3rd goal. EDIT2 : 3:0

@iasenko, @Thirdspace, I didn't knew that. I thought that number of airdropped Merits was determined by user rank and his activity, no matter he was active in 2017 or no. Seems that I was wrong. Well, good to learn something new, thanks guys!

*an account not accounts
It is clearly stated I would not sell to people with a red tag, and I ended up locking the thread because only newbies were contacting me! I would not have given it to someone who would of missused it!
Ok, account, not accounts. You wouldn't sell account to random newbie or user with red tag. Let's say that you you would sell it to user with neutral trust. But how you can be sure that he wont missue that account? There was many cases when green trusted people with solid reputation or Donators turned into scammers.

Could you specify what kind of events you're interested? There are full of sports events starting with footbal or basketball and ending with darts and floorball. But everything is more or less regualr games. As I know, there are ni important elections soon where you can bet. Maybe you can try betting on Tv series like Game of thrones or various tv shows like X factor.

OP, I don't know why you can't send sMerit. You wake up after years of silence and you still have airdropped Merit. #Off-topic It's interesting see you woke up suddenly after almost 2 year and the very first post is about merit.
His account was already red tagged in past, so it's useless pretty much. But he still hold most valuable currency of Bitcointalk in his account. I wouldn't be surprised if he will help some Newbies (or Spambies) to rank up

OP, you've been long enough here to know that account sales aren't tolerated by DT members. No matter you're newbie or legendary member. It's not worth to risk your reputation while trying to sell accounts. Maybe you still can be considered as as trusted lender or escrow agent, but I think that negative trust rating that you got is fair. Usually people buying accounts with bad intentions - they want to scam someone, abuse bounties and etc. And by selling account you're just helping to these abusers. I don't know, maybe trust system is missued sometimes, but it's not your case. People offen complaining that trust system is unfair, but they can't offer better alternatives to current system. P.S. I think this topic belongs to reputation board.

If your post was deleted, you had to get notification about it. Did you got it? If yes, can you show it to us and we wil able to explain what you did wrong. You don't get notification only when whole thread is trashed. There no quota of deleted posts to ban account. Sometimes even one post is enough to ban user if it was plagiarism or phishing link. If you don't want to get ban, I recommend to not make low quality posts like this one: completely agreed.
Also, when you post, try to not repeat what was already said. If you don't have anything to add to discussion, better not post. And avoid posting in spam megathreads.

I have deja vu feeling - we had same situation back in January. Eventually mostly users realized that spammin in Meta will not help to get Merit. Same will happen again, but it may took some time before Meta will become cleaner. Not to mention the alts-section. It is almost impossible to discuss seriously about a certain coin or project with people genuinely interested on it because the topic is quickly used to spam or it disappears among the bumps of the many spam threads. And I guess I am a sinner too sometimes, I wish there were better conditions to make me be more constructive. I would like to help to good Newbies to rank up, but since release of new rank requirements I haven't spend any of my sMerits. I'm just struggling to find good Newbies. Sometimes I see they put effort to make post in Meta. But before awarding with Merit I check their post history and see that user is bounty reporters and he need Merit just to continue his bounty activities. Well, I don't want to help to bounty spammers Alts section was lost long time ago. And as I remember it always been shitty. Before all these ICO's it was full of stupid threas like "Coin ... will replace Bitcoin", "... is a good investment?" and similar. And this boards was full of shills, haters and just random morns.

Stupid Admin , nothing to say more. You dont get merrit points Even with 260 Look at me. AND I am no spammer.
I have paid accound but with using it, you are marked as an animal in zoo
Solution is simple. People SHOULD leave BTC Talk if they have some self respects.
Regards
Most of your posts are made in Altcoin boards. These boards are full of spam and it's difficult to get Merit there. Oh, you calling theymos stupid, but can you offer something better to prevent spam? I'm not sure why do you feel like an animal in zoo with Copper Member rank? And if you have some self respect, why you still didn't left Bitcointalk?

The current situation of Meta is that every thread you will find is either about Merits or accounts. If these two things are separated, the board would look much better.
About Merits - we had same situation back in January when Merit system was introduced. But within few months number of threads about Merit reduced signficantly. I think that after few months we will have much less threads about Merit. About hacked account recoveries - if theymos will release automated account recovery system as he announced, there we will have less tgreads about hacked accounts. And banned accounts - I still can't understand why reason of ban aren't displayed when user login to banned account, while if he get temp. ban - reason of ban are displayed. Now abusers don't even know why they are permabanned and appealing when there is no chance to lift ban.
@JetCash, good thoughts, but I feel that most of these abusers just don't care. After they get ban, they just move on, create new account and continue their shady activity.

No, I'm not here for bounties and I've never been a participant of bounty campaign. It's ok that people who are interested in crypto can make some extra cash from bounties. But it's sad that forum become to a workplace of bounty hunters. They are doing bounties as their full time job. They aren't even interested in crypto, they just came here to earn money by posting generic crap from 10, 50 or 100 Bitcointalk accounts. It's sad reality of Bitcointalk and this is why we don't have real discussions in many of boards. I hope that new rank requirements will improve situation a bit, but forum will be not same as it was before all these bounty campaigns...

As I already said in previous similar topics, I don't think that dedicated board for ban appeals is needed. Let's keep things simple and keep all forum related stuff in single Meta board. If new board for ban appeals would be made, maybe we would also need to have dedicated boards for hacked accounts recovery, Merit discussion and etc. I prefer current situation when we have everything what is related to forum in one place.

It's another story why it's not a good idea to use centrallized exchanges (a.k.a. crypto banks) as your Bitcoin wallet because they don't give you full control of your cryptocurrency. And there are always a risk that they will close your account and freeze your funds even if you did nothing wrong. OP, your story is strange. As I understand, online betting in Philippines become illegal only in 2018. But you used online gambling websites in 2015, when it still wasn't against the laws. So, why did their banned your if you received BTC from betting platform before release of law? And they even didn't gave chance to withdraw money before closure of account? It's unfair!

I think that problem on you, because you do a copy paste text in other member post
Dude, read what is written in OP. He was banned for 7 days because he joined on forum altcoin giveaway, what isn't allowed here. Copy pasters usually get permanent bans.
Op, now you have to wait 7 days until your ban will expire and don't repeat what you already did because next time you may get permanent ban. I recommend to read forum rules now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Wow, but what's the point of buying Newbie accounts when you can make unlimited number of Newbie accounts yourself for free? Or maybe some people are too lazy to make such high number of accounts themselves... Now with new rank requirements only ICO bumping services can be interested in such offers.

Yeah, all the primitive phrases used mainly in ANN threads are very annoying. I also hate word "bounty". When I see "Bounty" chocolate bar in shop I always remember all these bounty spammers on Bitcointalk and I don't want to buy this chocolate anymore And "proof of authentication". Everytime when I see this or similar phrasevI always feel that it was posted by spam bot. And good reminder by user above - "Reserve xxx translation". They posting this reservation even if project aren't looking for translations.
