I would love to see 70k my reason is as follows :
I gave a guarantee that we would do 70 k by may last year.
Some guy with the initials JJG told me I was stubborn to repeat it repeatedly.
So here we are 8 or 9 months later and I am still looking for that guarantee of 70k to not be the worst prediction of all time.
So lets get over that 70k hump. It will mean the end of all the corrections that happened since I predicted that 70k.

How does 0.34 per kWh sound like? And that's pence, not cents, around 0.46 ¢.
Anyone with even half that power rate should not be even remotely considering mining, you got huge players with 2.5c , many folks with free power, the unlucky ones are at 10 cents, 400% more fees on top of that is just crazy, it doesn't matter what Bitcoin price will do, mining at such rates is asking for trouble. I remember you mentioned 15 cents or something where you live, I know my memory is corrupted, but I hope you are paying those 40 something cents.  My home is 13.8 cents in the winter. but the heat is worth 3/4 cents so from now until May 1 I would say I pay 10 cents. I can do 3x 30amp circuits, about 15kwatts in my garage but even when it is 20f or -6.667 c it is too hot to run 15kwatts. I am doing 5 kwatts right now say 5 x 720 = 3600 about $504 in power and I save 100 or so in heating bill so 400 for the mine in the house. It is a mix of btc and eth. and I am about breakeven in the house, Mostly due to more $$$ per watt for the eth. The big farm in Clifton is the key to my profits. I am a much better rate than 46 cents. In my house 14 adjust to 10 til may 1. |

Sure. If you had an L3+ and mined Doge/LTC at a loss from July 2018 to April 2021 then cashed you made a fucking fortune. With 1 miner that would have cost under 400 in July 2018 edit . Lost would have been from July 2018 to Oct 2020. After that date it was always making $$ |

Hello everyone I can not believe it, but I just solved my problem.
The low hashrate reason was in deed the BIOS being wrong. It caused the GPU to have a wrong power drawing from its 8-pin port.
I wrote to Palit/Gainward tech support and they gave me the correct BIOS.
Now the GPU gets 41.5 MH/s with 125W as it should!!!
I just want to say big thanks to everyone who helped me here. I couldn't do it without you guys!
I will leave this thread with [SOLVED] tag. I think it can be useful in case anyone in the future has the same or similar problem.

That does seem to be the pattern... Just glad to help folks be able to buy BTC at an 'affordable' price  Just don't forget to stop before it gets too affordable  I want to pay for the coffee with Bitcoin but not with one! BTC. Price bouncing around, still not over 40k but that 32k was really scary, the difficulty seems to decline a bit, we're halfway done with this and we might see 3%, not much but it does ease a bit the pain from the drop. Next Difficulty Change: between -3.1069% and -2.2833% A 9% increase in difficulty and a 25% drop in price was simply way too much, I was going to residential rates around Europe and in some cases you couldn't turn a profit even with an s19j, not even mentioning ROI. it is good news. it means along with LN and trezor swiss protocol btc will be more and more co opted into the banking system kyc will rule with in ten years. no such thing as new hidden coins. |

We decided to stock up on hubs when we launched these sticks because we knew people would want them, but we got bit by the chip shortage and some other things that slowed down production. I'm working on a redesign of the hub that'll provide the same quality of power but that's easier to manufacture. We're also investing in some new tooling to help speed things up. Stock of things in 2022 should be more regular than what we've seen this past year.
Also for the record, the Compac F isn't the first stickminer to pull 15 watts. The 2Pac and NewPac could both work on that level as well. The GekkoScience Base Hub was designed during the 2Pac days so it's fun to see that it's still the best for this application.
Also, definitely gotta lay congratulations on Sledge for his block! If you happen to want to, you know, unload some of your winnings, I may know a guy.

After 12 years we are now a lot closer to moon than to zero. i dunno man my moon is pretty up there. i like BIG numbers not mediocre (even for for ants) numbers. so $35k USD is closer to zero than my moon. Then you're gonna be waiting quite a while. I guarantee it'll take a lot longer for the price to go from $35K to moon, than it did from zero to $35K. Might seem counter-intuitive but it is mining difficulty that drives price not the other way around.
How on earth did you come to such an erroneous conclusion? That makes zero sense. Makes sense to me. Mining ⛏ difficulty is the backbone of btc. btc is created by converting energy to coin. more difficulty means more power is needed to mine a coin. thus the base value of a coin is determined by power needed to mine it. He is making perfect sense. Any one that does not agree simply should go for pos coins and leave this thread 🧵 how is that for fighting words. Now I stand by that. edit if you don't it means you don’t belong here as a btc person or a pow person or a satoshi person second edit ✍️ it is okay if you don’t believe in the POW 💥 concept that satoshi coined when he first set btc into motion. I think I just made the biggest decision of my life. I have converted nearly all my savings in fiat that I have amounted over my life time and invested all of it into Bitcoin @ around $36,850. I am in a weird place now because I know it is the right decision and I have confidence in my decision but I am shaking all over the place. I have kept some emergency fund in my personal bank and if any other unexpected costs arise I will be prepared to take out what is required again from my Bitcoin fund.
The process of buying this amount was not easy I had to call my bank because the transaction was blocked then I had to wait 20-30 minutes for the bank to answer me. After that the customer service guy tried to lecture me about how cryptocurrency is very risky to invest in. I told him I had been around number of years but he said he had to go through all of it. I then had to confirm that I wanted to send this amount knowing the risk. They wanted me to come into the local bank and confirm some details but I told them because of the snowy conditions that would not be possible. He then allowed me to go through verification and send the amount. This probably took me over 2 hours to complete because I was put on hold many times. But do you know what the biggest eye opener of this experience was? with Bitcoin I would not need to go through this waste of time confirming my details because now I am my own bank. I do not need permission to spend my money even if it is for a risky investment. I am both relieved and scared. I have a lot of faith and I think I have bought at the best possible time and before completing the purchase I was 99% sure this was the right thing to do but the nerves have kicked in and I think I am probably about 60% sure now.
