7681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOUNTY PAYMENT MATTERS on: February 29, 2020, 02:58:41 PM
Of course, this is a good suggestions, but I think we have heard this before and up to know only few bounties have put some escrows to ensure that bounty hunters are going to be paid.

However, we all know that bounty hunting is like gambling on your end, you join some projects which we don't know if it going to be a success or not. And chances are, most of them didn't get their soft cap and in turn doesn't want to pay those bounty hunters. So it's really a choice for members here which bounty to join or whether they are willing to take that bit risk.
7682  Economy / Economics / Re: Wells Fargo Fined $3 Billion for 15 Years of Illegal Practices Affecting Million on: February 29, 2020, 02:10:57 PM
This is so sad. I can't imagine how much did Wells Fargo earned with their scheme. This news made me have trust issues with the bank. I feel very disappointed every time I learn things about the banks and how they do their businesses.

Exactly mate, data did show how much money they make out of this scheme. But I will assume that it is close to $3 billion as usually DOJ or US SEC are seeking fine close to how much money they supposedly get from this fraudulent act.

The $3 Billion dollars fined for the Wells Fargo is not enough to cover their misuse of identities of their users/depositor/ customers/client.
Another question is, where would be the $3 Billions goes then? Well well, another cash to be corrupted.

As far as I know, those bank fines goes to US Treasury, but I don't know if it is possible to give it back to the victims, very complicated process.
7683  Bitcoin / Legal / Californian judge will let XRP lawsuit to proceed against Ripple on: February 29, 2020, 01:24:20 PM
Official court documents (updated)

Zakinov v. Ripple Labs, Inc.

https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/8150354/85/zakinov-v-ripple-labs-inc/

So it seems that Federal Judge Phyllis Hamilton will let lawsuit goes on as he was not convinced by Ripple attorney and argument. He didn't agree that Ripple's complaint was not filed in time and he didn't think that the lawsuit will destroy their business and market share, (still 3rd crypto as of press time).

So another interesting court battle to watch. Are Ripple selling unregistered securities?
7684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Charts Are Garbage on: February 29, 2020, 12:44:19 PM
Anyone sick and tired of articles citing charts? I’ve been in stocks for 10 years and I know how to read them. Bitcoin/crypto isn’t candle based.

Well I'm sick and tired of seeing crypto related article posting bullshit charts, just to get some clicks, in short they are garbage, thus for profit making scheme. But there are good analysis in this community, you just have to go around and see some 'reputable" technical analyst here.

What do you mean by "Bitcoin/crypto isn’t candle based" though? As far as I know, candle sticks can show you the highs and lows, so it can help you track price predictions.

You just have to look at the bright side kung ano man ang mga pinagdaanan mo recently. Best of luck.
7687  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Pianaka unang bitcoin casino sa pinas! -Kawbet.com on: February 28, 2020, 10:00:13 PM
Registered business ba ang KawBet sa SEC? Really important factor imo as pera ang pinag uusapan natin dito.

[1] https://crs.sec.gov.ph/companyName?csrftoken=0668ce95619fbea2af62b7586be99e56

Down parin hanggang sa ngayon, so hindi pa natin talaga ma check.

7689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: February 28, 2020, 08:44:19 PM
Experiment or not, it hasn't failed, on the contrary it grew in the last 10 years or so.

We feel the rant of the OP, for every huge drop on the price, there will be some newbie who's going to be frustrated just because they see their portfolio going down and then go to this forum with there ramblings telling everyone how they feel about it. Now, when the price goes up again, they calling BTC a life saver and hearing them shouting "to the Moon".

It's crazy how someone will make a sudden U-turn and label it a failed experiment.
7690  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of Wtfunk youtube channel sponsorship on: February 28, 2020, 12:35:14 PM
Beware of Wtfunk youtube channel.

Scammed us with 5k usd, did you publish video after receiving payment.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHhuf7hu7VF_XdFpipNhY9A

Why the heck you will pay up-front youtube channel advertisement? And also 5k USD for a channel with 10K subscriber is kinda over priced in my opinion based on my future transaction
in some youtuber with more subscribers than that and have an organic views. You should set payment in terms when dealing with them and are you really sure that you are talking to
real owner of the channel? Because there's a lot of scumbag out there that impersonating famous youtuber and try to scam clients.

And we don't know if that is really the original owners channel. We have seen growth on hacking youtube channels and turning it into a crypto related one, and used it to scammed people.

You should have focus more on your signature campaign in this forum instead. You have a campaign running, but the payment is way below what a normal gambling campaign should be run, just saying.
7691  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Comelec Eyes Mobile App for Voting on: February 27, 2020, 11:48:54 PM

Still boils down sa "dayaan" mentality talaga natin.

Changelly?

Beware of Changelly's shitty customer service/possible scam
Changelly.com Scammed Me - Took Approx 80% in FEES!!!! Sad
ChangeNow.io (Evercode Lab) - Scam. Illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins).

Been a hot topic is this community like 2018-2019.

Yes, I have heard of instant exchanges before, I've used them in the past like Changelly and Shapeshift, however, there are still the possibility that they will confiscate your coins, or selectively scamming, just saying.
7693  Economy / Exchanges / Bitstamp now supports native Segwit on: February 27, 2020, 08:27:49 PM
Good news for Bitstamp customers as they confirmed that they added a full native Segwit support.

https://twitter.com/Bitstamp/status/1233015964993826817

I guess it's about time that we see exchanges supporting segwit, either the native one starting with bc1 (bech32) or 3 (P2SH nested segwit).

7695  Economy / Economics / Wells Fargo Fined $3 Billion for 15 Years of Illegal Practices Affecting Million on: February 27, 2020, 12:11:24 PM
Quote
Wells Fargo, one of the largest U.S. financial services companies, has agreed to pay $3 billion to resolve the U.S. government’s investigations into fraudulent sales practices spanning over 15 years. The Wells Fargo fraud case involved the company forging customer signatures, moving money from millions of customer accounts to unauthorized accounts, and misusing customers’ sensitive personal information.

https://news.bitcoin.com/wells-fargo/

Wells Fargo had agreed to settle and pay $3 billion to settle the case filed against them by the US government. And one shady practice?

"unlawfully misused customers’ sensitive personal information, including customers’ means of identification"

Another good reason for everyone to really put some investments on crypto specially BTC, BYOB (Be Your Own Bank) philosophy. Of course with KYC around, one can argue that our personal data can still be misused, but trusting banks, such as reputable as WF, then we need to think twice.
7696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jessie Vargas vs Mikey Garcia on: February 27, 2020, 10:28:09 AM
Boxing week guys,

Mikey Garcia: Vargas Will Be Coming For a KO Win - Me Too!

Quote
Four division world champion Mikey Garcia is expecting a real war, when he steps in the ring against two-division world champion Jessie Vargas.

The contest takes place on Saturday night, as the headline bout of a Matchroom card in Frisco, Texas. DAZN will be streaming the event.

Garcia is fighting for the first time since March 2019, when moved up by two weight divisions to the welterweight ranks and suffered a lopsided decision loss to IBF world champion Errol Spence.

And since the Wilder vs Fury rematch is over, I think it's about time to shift our attention to this fight. I didn't generate enough buzz, but for sure this is one good fight that boxing fans shouldn't missed.
7697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Racoon: Infostealer type of malware including crypto currency wallets on: February 27, 2020, 09:53:11 AM
As I have said in the past, this is going to be a continuous cat-and-mouse game for everyone involved in crypto. Lots of malware are being born every minutes and it's really hard for us to really protect ourselves from this online thieves.

Education is a must, if you see that your browser is asking for updates, then check them out and see if there is an official releases. Usually those releases are meant to combat new forms of malware.
7698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling on: February 26, 2020, 10:46:03 PM
Well you can do track your win/loss record, but as to give you some benefits to make you stop gambling? I don't think so, on the contrary it might give you the impression to chase that loss. Sometimes I also thought of lots of 'what if's', what if I didn't gamble and chooses to save so that I can buy my favourite expensive watch? The answer is still the same, no regrets from gambling loss, it's just part of the game.

And if you ask a fellow gambling how much they lose? they will not tell the truth, and will say break even or barely up by few. Probably the best use of tracking our win/loss is for tax purposes, but other than that, I can't see any pros of doing it.
7699  Other / Meta / Re: Posting reserve? on: February 26, 2020, 01:56:58 AM
Usually the note "reserve" has been applied to some bounty like translation or even signature campaign. But posting reserve in such discussion isnt appropriate.

Regards to this OP,  the case might be like that since he is wearing signature. What if someone do that and he doesnt have any signature and likely to composed well his thought (more like rehearsing or proof reading first his post) first. Would that can also consider as spam or something negative in lie with forum rules?

Good thing about forum now is edited mode can be seen. But archiving is necessary in order to caught this new tricks. Early bird catches the worm.

On the contrary, if you are not wearing any signature then you have all the time to compose a quality reply and says your thoughts that time and then go back edit it. Or if you have signature then you can write quality post as well, and then go back later to edit if some additional thoughts you want to add to the discussions. I've seen many members doing this.

That member has nothing to proof read, LOL, I would understand if he says "I will put my thoughts later", but he didn't, he just says reserve. You also have to look at the time stamp, 11:35 PM, obviously I look at it as he is trying to make the number of post on his bounty for that day or week.

@TECSHARE - I don't know if there could be some daily editing restrictions or if Theymos would approved of that. But let's see.
7700  Other / Meta / Posting reserve? on: February 25, 2020, 11:30:10 PM
This is not the first time that I saw one member having this kind of method, I reported it last month but I can't remember the user name, but thanks to LoyceV, we have proof that some members are using this trick.

It might be the user has many accounts and due to time constraints that he/she might not get the needed post count for his bounty at the end of the week, he simply put "reserve" in a hurry and then obviously come back to edit and put his supposedly thoughts about the discussion.

So for those spam hunters, might be difficult to find this new technique, unless you archived it first then report it to mods.

And then comeback to edit his post a bit later, to look like he did make it within the day.  Smiley

I was surprised to see that today, ETH broke $200 price barrier, and a lot of altcoins in the top 10 are also making a good run, is this the bullish signal that we all have been waiting for the altcoin market?

Source: Binance
I didn't expect 200 USD from Ethereum blockchain. This blockchain deserve more value this situation and I will surprise when hit 600-700 USD in this year. Ethereum did another step forward to beacon chain by last day some news. In CMC Ethereum dominance is 10 percent what was before below 8 percent.
