Think its clear that the target is always worth taking out. You see this in the middle east all the time with the drone attacks. Because it is not your/our people dying we do not cry out. If the target is important I kill those people as well.

Would you destroy all life on earth to stamp out terrorism?  If not, then even you must have a line.  Do you have a number for us?  How many innocents should die to maybe prevent the death of other innocents?  This is why I say it's best to have an armed population.  Let the people defend themselves.

Believe the number breaks down to optics. If you coul disrupt say ISIS once and for all, I would kill 2k ish innocent people to achieve this.
Sadly human lives are not all equal when we break it down. I could come up with numbers for all kinds of situations, but in the heat of the moment my numbers would most likely go up. I know I am in a minority in killing to stop a problem.

Interesting take.  You might be in the minority with your position but I don't believe there is a right or wrong answer.
7702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first confirmation is taking way to Effing long!!! on: April 19, 2016, 12:25:21 AM
I have a very limited amount of free time each day:
Socially acceptable words cannot begin to describe how much the Bitcoin network has failed to perform today.

If you don't have the time to wait for a confirmation, why not use a credit card?  That's pretty quick.  Nobody is going to fault you for using an alternative to Bitcoin once in a while.
7703  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Risking 1 or 100 ? on: April 19, 2016, 12:22:57 AM
You should teach the intended victims to become hard targets and give them weapons to defend themselves.  Terrorists would not have such an easy task.

The intended victims should be taught the importance of meekness so they do not turn into terrorists themselves once they've been given weapons.

Perhaps some weapons use and safety training would be in order but do you think you can teach people to be meek?

Is there anything bitcoin related in this venture?

so, you mean everyone one on bitcointalk forum are ONLY have biz related to bitcoin?

GrinWell,i think there are those who have biz outside the bitcoin niche!

Thanks for yr question

Arlene

 Well here's the rule:

Services (child board of Goods) - Services provided/demanded on-forum for Bitcoin. If you are providing/demanding services on another site (e.g. have a hosting site), it doesn't belong here.

7709  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How much will I make mining? on: April 17, 2016, 09:30:53 PM
How did you arrive at 11.16 cents per kWh?  Is that an aggregate cost analysis of a 24 hour period?

I laid this out in another post previously -

The variable charges on a typical bill for many North American utilities are:

electricity (time of use) charge
distribution charge
transmission charge
loss adjustment (usually a fixed multiplier - mine is 4.8%)
regulatory charges
city, state and or federal VAT or sales tax (anywhere from 0-24%)
metering charges
advanced metering surcharges (if you're lucky enough to have one of the newer remote controlled meters)
nuclear decommissioning fund charges

The stated cost per kWh non-peak for me is 8 cents but my average cost over the month is 18.6 cents per kWh (that also includes the fixed costs such as a customer surcharge and paper billing charge. I think I could save a couple bucks and the planet if I were to opt for electronic billing).

Long story short - I haven't been able to run a miner that would have been profitable for well over a year.
7710  Economy / Services / Re: 15.000 satoshi per site reward just for singing up on: April 17, 2016, 09:02:07 PM
hello all welcome to my first post well it is on this account was  here a few years ago but my account was closed due to non use I guess
as my title say I will anyone 10.000 satoshi for every  signup there do using my link which u cam  pm me for.

why u ask well I not just looking for anyone to just signup and don't think that that u should do nothing for nothing if  u now what I mean as I say if u do me a favor then I do u one buy giving u 10.000 satoshi

I have 30 in total so that a whooping 300.000 satoshi just for doing a simple task 30 times

if u want to now more then pm me and soon u have your first free 15.000 satoshi

Your title says 15.ooo yet the text says 10.ooo until the last sentence where it says 15.ooo and yet you're going do this 30 times for a total of 300.ooo yet according to traditional math 15.oooX30 is 450.ooo

Now I'm not even sure if this is 10 or 15 thousand or are you showing three decimal places of accuracy and on signing up I would get 10 or 15 satoshis?  Also, do you even care what you are doing?  This is the sloppiest give-away post ever.

I think I heard that the only reason it is called a religion was that they wanted non-profit status for tax purposes.  It has apparently changed over time to be a "real" religion.

Isnt that pastafarianism and not scientology

It's different for each country.  Neither Scientology nor Pastafarianism is a recognized religion by statute in Romania.

7714  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scientology on: April 16, 2016, 01:24:24 AM
Religion or cult/group?
What's the difference?

It's generally much more difficult to leave a cult but I believe your question is of a rhetorical nature so I won't expound.

Looks like he didn't do a shit either.  Now you don't have to do a shit because you don't have a negative rep.
All you need to do is relax.

Ooops - he did a shit!  How did I miss that?

I don't get your point..

The negative trust from him does not appear to me (by default) so it appeared to me that you had no negative trust from anyone.  I saw it on second glance.  I probably should have deleted the comment but what's done is done.  Sorry about that.

Don't take a loan for mining equipment. Mining bitcoin is hardly profitable for private persons. Only a professional approach with big investment is profitable.

Hello Mr
I understand thanks for your back
a question?
go how much of $ to have profitable revenue?
Thank you
thank you very much

That's difficult to say. The biggest cost of a mining rig is the electricity bill. What is the price/kWh in Algeria? If it's more than $0,10-0,12/kWh you can forget to make some profit. Then it is almost not possible. All Bitcoin mining companies are in countries with low electricity costs like China ($0,06/kWh)

electricity costs in algeria ($0,04/kWh) what do you think sir Huh?

We usually discuss only electricity cost with respect to mining.  The problem with doing so is that there are many other charges to consider on most if not all electricity bills these days.
Here is a list of variable costs on a typical electricity bill:

electricity (time of use)
distribution charge
transmission charge
loss adjustment (usually a fixed multiplier - mine is 4.8%)
regulatory charges
city, state and or federal VAT or sales tax (anywhere from 0-24%)
metering charges
advanced metering surcharges (if you're lucky enough to have one of the newer remote controlled meters)
nuclear decommissioning fund charges

there are also fixed charges but that wouldn't affect the cost to mine.    My average cost of electricity alone was $0.108/kWh last month but once you add on all the other variable charges it works out to $0.186/kWh and the stated cost of electricity (non-peak) is $0.08/kWh
Be careful when doing your calculations.

You can read it any way you please sweetpea.
Its not worth enough on its own to interest law enforcement but I'm hoping there are enough members with trust who will eventually take notice and get out the red brush.

edit: for spelling correction

It's called shill bidding.  It is wire-fraud - a federal crime.  Ergo anyone participating in such a scheme is conducting a scam.  An illegal scam - do you need any more justification that that to give a negative rep to all alts involved?
