7761  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Social media platform for photo content monetization | Fot.to on: December 12, 2018, 05:59:04 AM
Can you tell us more about the "AI algorithms", you mentioned? It seems this is how you measured the popularity or the original of the picture submitted, but I'm sure that a lot will be curious on how you rank the pictures. I'm trying to look at Starbucks gift cards though and I wanted to know if its international:

https://www.starbucks.ie/customer-service/faqs/card

Quote
Can I use my Starbucks Card when I travel internationally?

Starbucks Cards activated in any of the participating countries can be used to make purchases and be reloaded in any other participating country. Starbucks Cards must first be activated by loading money onto the card in the country of purchase before being used internationally. The participating countries are; UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico, and the Republic of Ireland.

So its sounds like its not international unless I'm missing something. How can people living outside of those countries can participate if they can't claim those Giftcards?

Dear Kemarit,

You brought out very valid points. The starbucks gift card is a starting point in the marketplace. The marketplace shall be extended to multiple merchandise that can be purchased using fotto points.

The idea is to extend the advertising reach for the companies that want to advertise in the fotto network and split the advertising revenue with the fotto community members. Today, you do not notice this happening in the popular social medias.

This is the disruption that fotto aims to bring to the fotto community members.

With regard to the query on the AI algorithms, these are currently in the nascent stage. The algorithm improves when we have more users on the network for the AI algorithm to measure the connections and the likes received on the original content. Plagiarism photos will not receive fotto points even though they receive multiple likes.

Hope this answers your queries.

Ok, fair enough, it looks like you're still in the development phase of your project but please take all the valid points being raised by some members here so that you can improved your project this early.

Of course everyone hates plagiarism and I think that's very important not just articles around but photo's as well. Also, I already have in mind that "likes" would be one way to measure and that will be included in the algorithm, I just want it to be validated. Goodluck to your project.

@kratosinnolabs - Thank you for a well thought explanation about your project. I myself was a photographer but not professional though, but I'm been very busy in the last couple of years that I totally forgot my favorite hobby and reading this kind of projects make me excited. Grin
7762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [QUESTION] Altex Exchange Down ? on: December 12, 2018, 05:39:11 AM
IS there any news about ALTEX. It was a exchange for miners, and I hope that altcoin miners will not lose their funds.  Undecided
I stored my coins on the Altex. and it is probably that the exchange is  a scam one, exited after months.
Today, I even can not visit the website of Altex.

Never heard of this trading platform before. But its pretty obvious that they have exited already because the site is not accessible and I found accusations here: Altex exchange ROBBERY. It's a reality check for everyone if they store their coins on that exchange and then one day you can't accessed it anymore. I won't mentioned the morals of the story because I'm sure that everyone know so just be careful out there.
7763  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 0% tax when cashing out crypto on: December 12, 2018, 05:28:55 AM
This is like a person I know back then who doesn't want to pay his due to the government, so he lives like 10 years without paying anything but the government caught up on him and know he has to suffer the consequences. So Goodluck to you. Grin

Thanks for the good wishes. What I'd like to point out that I intended this thread to be about how to minimize tax on profits involving crypto without having to move your tax residence to any exotic country people always talk about. Not to start a discussion about whether one should work on minimizing their taxes or not in general. So if someone generally disagrees with the concept of not 'always telling only the truth and the entire truth' to the taxman, then he/she disagrees with the entire concept and I get it. So I am sorry if some of you misunderstood this but this discussion is intended to be about HOW to implement it in a smart, prepared, thought out and cheap way.

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand where you coming from, but I guess everyone here doesn't want to go to a lot of hassle just for the sake of reducing or not paying their tax. Maybe I just see people around me back in the days or even up to now, trying to take advantage of the loopholes. Perhaps others will find your 'suggestions' and might go that route, or others doesn't want to make things complicated, vis-a-vis.
7764  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2019 market and forks cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2018, 01:59:14 PM
How do you think friends will new year bring  relief to the market? It seems to me that the market is just overwhelmed, forks, crushing development teams, new and new projects, all of this has undermined the fragile cryptoeconomy, I think the market is likely to clear before recovery, but what do you think?

Of course we can't really tell what 2019 will bring, but there are two important events that we need to monitor, (1) SEC's decision on Van Eck/Solid X Bitcoin ETF's application (2) Bakkt Bitcoin future offerings.

So if by chance we get those two going live in 2019, then I'm expecting a reversal, but it doesn't mean that we're going to hit another all-time-high right away. It might be catalyst that we all needed to get the market at least bounce back and hit 5 digits again that will culminate in the next block halving in 2020.
7765  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where's the bottom well? on: December 11, 2018, 01:26:57 PM
Its really hard to find the bottom on crypto market because (1) the price is based on pure speculation, I mean just a simply FUD can create a lot of panic that will cause the price to go deep and when you think that everything has settled down, a new wave of panic occurs, causing another massive sell-off (2) manipulation, we all know how whales can manipulate the price so again it makes it harder for anyone to just look at the graphical signals because most of the time its not applicable.
7766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: December 11, 2018, 01:00:15 PM
Mayweather has enough money, man. He must be drowing in $100 bills (and pussy).
He doesn’t need to fight all these bums to prove anything, he’s an undefeated artist & he doesn’t need any more money. It’s dumb if you ask me.
He still needs money IMO although he is filthy rich right now, otherwise, why would he still fight.
His name is money for a reason, and that is because he wants money and he is not yet contented with what he has right now, there's no stopping this guy anymore because he knows people will buy the hypes he created.

We really can't blamed him even though he is filthy rich. Maybe there are people who is not contented of what they have that's why they needed to make more money. Although there are rumours that Floyd is envy of what Canelo gets with DAZN, wherein he signed an 11 fight deal worth at least $365 million and its the biggest deal in combat sports.

I don't know the numbers but it looks like he made lots of money fighting Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor? So it doesn't make sense at and it we don't need to compare what Canelo is getting with DAZN.

Although he is really in for the money but we don't know how much money RIZIN has offered him that Floyd immediately says YES I will fight this kid in a heartbeat.
7767  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 0% tax when cashing out crypto on: December 11, 2018, 12:41:03 PM
Just a quick update:

~ snip ~

Ok, good for you, I guess you can update us if anything go on your way (or not). But still, I will not go on that route just to be "tax-free" (or evade taxes). Yes, you can out-smart the tax-man, however, I have a feeling that sooner or later they already know this process so just be careful.

This is like a person I know back then who doesn't want to pay his due to the government, so he lives like 10 years without paying anything but the government caught up on him and know he has to suffer the consequences. So Goodluck to you. Grin
7768  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-11] Bitcoin Recovery Weakens as Price Drops 4.4%, Dead Cat Bounce? on: December 11, 2018, 12:14:41 PM
That's why those so called support and resistance levels doesn't exist anymore because the market sentiments is very volatile and you just don't know if you will really everything in TA. Just like we witnessed 48 hours ago, the market is all green and everyone was very happy until without any signs, the market falls again and hovering just above $3400. So if you're really not that experience in crypto trading, might be better if you stay away for now because its going to be a very difficult to predict the price movement and of course chances of you making good profit will be slim.

7770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 231: Holloway vs Ortega Prediction and Info Thread on: December 11, 2018, 10:13:25 AM
I was so much wrong, Holloway really surprised me a lot, he looked too strong aftea a year without official fights. Ortega dissapointed me, he have a black belt in Jiu Jitsu but he didn't use it in this fight, he should been use his grappling skills from first round coz holloway too over powered at stance for him.

Ortega doesn't have a plan B. Obviously he wanted to go toe to toe and have a war with Holloway, but we saw that Max is overwhelming him with punches from round 1 and since he doesn't have a plan B, he continue to go and we all know that its just a matte of time before he was knock out or lost via stoppage which eventually happened. I agree that he has a lot of heart, but sometimes its better to have a fight plan and not try to used your strengths because you don't know if your opponents is better than you.
7771  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin and Economy rare? on: December 11, 2018, 09:47:10 AM
The prices of bitcoin and Altcoin are all declining, I am stressed thinking about the current price situation that is getting destroyed.

Everyone is getting REKT at this point. And its pretty obvious that majority has exited specially those newbies who FOMO'ed. But the question is, are those investors getting destroyed according to you, won't enter the market again when the bear season ended?

And I also think that the necessities of economic life are getting more expensive, what is needed is also the price of higher needs in the store.

I can only speak to where I'm living. Yes, prices tend to go up and getting expensive so its really up to you to make adjustments, its hard but that's the facts of life you have to accept.

What do you think about the current situation, will this be rare for the long term, the longer I feel stressed in these two needs.

I'm sure that this bearish trend will have to end eventually, just like the price won't go on parabolic rise. It's not a matter of time, I'm sure that everyone is getting stressed out, but just look at the bright side and let this be a lesson for everyone. If the bull run started and make a lot of money then save enough for the rainy days. It's a cycle so you better prepared for the best and the worst situation, just saying.
7772  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Ethereum Drop 3% on: December 11, 2018, 09:37:57 AM
In past 24 hours. The prices of both Bitcoin and Ethereum has now fallen by more than 3% in U.S. Dollar.
 1. Bitcoin price drop in daily peak, this dominant cryptocurrency is actually down six percent. BTC at its low in daily volume in steep sell off or 5% to 10% thus tends to see an increase in daily volume.

2. The Ethereum price has experience in similar trend as well as Bitcoin. ETH has dropped $2billion to $1.6 billion by more over 20%.

We have seen this trend in the four weeks or so, You don't need to be surprised by this erratic jump, this is the Bitcoin we all have known since the beginning, very volatile price movement.

Is Bottom Far from here?-- Bitcoin

Personally, I still think that Bitcoin can still go down in the next couple of weeks or so. But this will be the last bottom and perhaps after that we might see a slowly climb that might lead to a bull run early next year.

What happen to tokens if ETH drops 35% more?

It's either project will paused their campaign, or extend it to cover the big drop. Other's might not give the bounty on time as well. Everyone needs to make money so ICO are very careful distributing their tokens because they know that a massive sell-off will occur after the distribution.
7773  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A hacking way of myetherwallet. on: December 11, 2018, 09:27:19 AM
Moral of the story: always be sure to double-check what website you're visiting before entering in any information. Same goes when you plan to connect to a website with Metamask...

Yes, that's correct, everyone should not just double-check everything, but think about 10x before clicking any link. Funny the OP has put Tedchain as a example because they have been exposed as scam months ago but this people will simply not stop.

Now while goin to withdraw he ask me to install the extension on this site - https://cryptocashback.org/#

Just read what it does LoL now Im scared to withdraw but I might try with an empty wallet.

I have merited you on the previous thread (which has been thrashed) because of the fair warning you give to the community. But I don't know that you're dumb to fall for this trap Cheesy. As @LoyceV said, don't do it.
7775  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bittrex Announcement on Telegram on: December 07, 2018, 06:59:17 PM
It looks like that is not the official Bittrex telegram group so I would not be cautious as well. Probably the best thing to do is just follow their official Twitter account to get the latest news, just saying. I also found some Bittrex support team but, nah its too good to be true.
7776  Economy / Marketplace / Re: To the Moon vice versa on: December 07, 2018, 06:35:23 PM
Friends, market has suffered huge losses, but large cryptoexchanges such as finance continue to develop, for example, they open sub accounts with zero downtime for example, how big are their benefits for you? And in general, when are you waiting for a turn back from the earth to the moon?

Obviously those exchanges are still raking big money even if the market is slumping so they will continue to develop to attract investors or traders in a bear/bull market. What are we waiting for? For those who might enter the market at its price peak, then its going to be a hard lessons for them to learn that what they witnessed might take years to happen again. Common sense tells us that in this market, you really need a lot of patience in order for you to make more money. If you don't have that trait then better go out and exit right now because this market is not for you.
7777  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-05] World’s Largest Financial Institutions are Still Placing Big Bets on: December 07, 2018, 06:25:10 PM
I guess they really wanted to take a slice in the pie that's why they are willing to push their money eventhough the market is still on the bearish trend. And those people behind really knows how to make money, because they wanted to take advantage of the 'blood on the street'. And I'm sure they know that one way or another, they can (exchanges) still make profits out of this bearish trend as Binance is reportedly expecting or may have hit $500 million $1 billion profit this year alone.
7778  Economy / Speculation / Re: $ 3400 is the lowest bottom? on: December 07, 2018, 05:59:33 PM
We have 3237 now
So lets see strong support is at 2800 if that will break we will have real panic
Very bad time for risky investments
Sell of on stocks
And lot of new tensions between USA and China and Brexit issue

We are already in a real panic since 5800 broke. How can you spot that the panic is real?
1. A lot of FUD in the media, a lot of articles about dying BTC.
2. A lot of whiners on the forum sharing their sob stories about stupid BTC they once believed in.
3. No corrections. We were overdue for a correction on the RSI for weeks and there was none, only dumps day by day.

Exactly, when the $6000 price barrier has been broken, (which at the beginning was very strong) all hell breaks lose and we see every price support levels falling like dominoes. And then followed by lots of FUD like there's no more profits from mining bitcoin. So there's a possibility that this massive sell-off is not done yet although we might see the bears getting exhausted as some point. As I have said in the previous threads, support levels are irrelevant, because of the collapsed.
7779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: December 07, 2018, 05:45:54 PM
For Floyd fans (and haters) out there,  Mayweather vs. Nasukawa - Fight Rules, Weight Limit, Gloves. And as per Mayweather: Nasukawa Bout Will Be 9 Minutes of Entertaiment.

Quote
Three minutes per round for three rounds

-            Straight boxing rules

-            Both will wear either RIZIN 8 ounce gloves

-            Weight: 147lbs/67.7kg

-            No judges

-            This will be full contact competition, but the bout is not going on boxing or MMA records

But the fight won't be televised on US soil, so meaning no PPV but it will be aired lived on Japan's Fuji TV because Rizin has a promotional contract with the said Network.
7780  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Falling to mid 3K Will it go down more? on: December 07, 2018, 04:43:00 PM
I think the bearmarket isnt done yet as we are fishing for a bottom.

But we could see some up swings before we ultimately go towards 3200 and test the lower 3k range

Any thoughts?

Obviously, its not done yet but we may be getting on the late bearish trend. So there's a chance that they might be exhausted and been stretch too far already.

I thought it will recover from $3770 low but that support level has been broken and that is an indication that the market is really not doing very well currently. From the beginning of the year we have this bearish signal and the bearish market has run throughout the year, we hope that next year should be another bull run year so most of us can reduce loses.

At this point, support levels are irrelevant because we're getting closer to the last bottom. So forget about looking for support as its not a good indication for now. Well 2017 was a bubble and it peak when we almost touch $20,000 and then followed by the bearish trend, which makes this another cycle. The only question is when will the next cycle starts? Well, it could be as early Q1 2019, so just prepared for the worst scenario (bottoming) and best scenario (start of the bull run).
