7781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: April 03, 2019, 04:30:24 PM
Like i said, ready to debate anytime on video kiddo. You’re scared because you’re likely a 300 pound troll.

Like I said, why would I waste my time? "Debate you on video..." Why? What's the purpose of that? If you can't debate me here, why would you think you could on video?

Nobody's using BCH or SV.

Nobody is going to.

Nobody except for newbies mistakes those for bitcoin.

Sad that's your best marketing tactic.
7782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: April 03, 2019, 01:25:33 PM
great im feel lucky that sold a little sum bnb to buy cash. not bad earned on a sharp upward movement. hope there will not be a strong correction.
Make sure you exit the scam coin before it starts dumping again and you're good to go.

You alone have completely destroyed the Bitcointalk feedback system snitching on anyone who doesn’t support your btc segwit poop coin, which hasn’t even passsed 5k and the blocks are already full. None of you retards even use lightning network and if you did your fees are going to blockstream, you’re just too stupid to realize you’re supporting nothing more than a central banking system.

Your fork of a fork coin is up too -- why are you crying so hard? Bitcoin is the entire reason we're all here and you're calling it "segwit poop coin," demonstrates your level of intelligence and maturity. Taking a page out of CSW's playbook I see.
7783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PROOF PUMP IS DONE BY NIMIQ on: April 03, 2019, 01:18:03 PM
(crying removed)

Stop crying. This coin is up 37% in the last 24 hours. What more do you want from it? It seems like the harder you cry, the higher it goes.

Everything you just said in MAXIMUM RED FONT is utter bullshit. Get a real job.
7784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Comparison of Offchain Solutions for Crypto Coins on: April 03, 2019, 10:15:25 AM
anyway. back to the topic

did people know that when 'fold' offered 'lightning pizza. out of 1500 'invoices' only 150 resorted to fulfilling in actual pizza getting delivered. 10% success rate.

Guess we should just completely abandon all work being done on Lightning then.

I filled an invoice out just to see what it looked like. It was a very experimental and novel process, I think there was probably a lot of people like me that just wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

But since you're not happy, I guess all progress should probably be stopped. And we should just return to using bitcoin on-chain, which by all estimates given by you, is also broken beyond repair.

Let's all just cry about it and hope things improve that way.
7785  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tradesatoshi - BEWARE! Blocking without reasons. on: April 03, 2019, 10:07:22 AM

Tradesatoshi Ltd is incorporated in Hong Kong according to its terms:

OK it looks like I missed this earlier, but I still don't think its good business for an exchange to suddenly impose KYC on everybody and then lock customers out of their accounts for refusing to comply. Every other exchange that has done this:

1. gives the customers the chance to withdrawal their funds, or
2. allows the customers to change the information they entered to match the supporting documents they are uploading

Their terms and conditions are largely plagiarized from another exchange, Bitexlive, but even after their March 12 update, nowhere does it say anything about KYC or users having their accounts frozen for failing to comply with KYC.

I've been a customer of Bittrex since 2014 and they've never asked for my KYC. I used them as recently as today.

Regardless of their legal status, Binance is the #1 exchange for good reason: they are considered trustworthy and they value the business of their customers. Yes, this could all chance tomorrow, but in this industry the only thing exchanges really have is reputation. Binance has a lot, Trade Satoshi has none.

Even well-regulated exchanges like Gemini or Coinbase could get hacked tomorrow -- its just a risk inherent in the business.

But to screw customers over like Trade Satoshi does by raising withdrawal fees to ridiculous amounts and then mock them for not wanting to comply with suddenly-imposed KYC shows how much respect for them, which is not much.

IRONY

"flawed pale imitation"

Hey bitcoinPsycho - which of the following are closer to the original design of the Bitcoin protocol as designed by Satoshi:
1) BTC; or
2) BCH

Hmm?
Sorry I don't do religion.  Tech evolves. No one man or woman have all the answers

It ain't religion, it's a simple 2-choice question. Afraid to answer it, bitcoinPsycho?

To reiterate, BTC is but a flawed pale imitation of Satoshi's system, while Bitcoin Cash hews more closely to that original genius design.

It is religion. You're basically arguing over which version of Christianity would Jesus be more impressed with if he came back from the dead. Just because somebody invents Calvinism after Roman Catholicism, it doesn't mean its a better religion. It certainly doesn't mean its going to be more popular or widely practiced.

Who cares what is closer to "Satoshi's system", besides people trying to pump one of bitcoin's imitators? You don't know what Satoshi is thinking, unless you still actually believe that he is CSW. Plenty of religions have started by their founder claiming to be the new messiah as well.
7787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 03, 2019, 06:00:02 AM
I'm calling Bitcoin post count parity some time in 2024. Whether that Bitcoin be BTC, BCH, or SV is an open question.

I think the next FOMO pile-in is going to make evident to the world the weaknesses of the Core-ian approach to scaling. The other forks (hewing more closely to Satoshi's inspired design) will be there to pick up the slack.

Incidentally, while BTC is up 14+% in the last 24 hours, BCH is up over 27% in the same time frame.

Yes, SV is lagging at 11+%. ::sigh::

Oh my fucking god.  You are either sick or delusional to still be having those kinds of illusions of grandeur in respect to those two shitty-ass bcash projects.

Still unanswered: How LN is going to help when Layer 1 is already clogged to the point of uselessness.

That's simple. First of all, your scenario has never happened. The blockchain has never been "clogged to the point of uselessness." That doesn't make any more sense than nobody going to a restaurant anymore because its too crowded.

But let's say BTC again skyrockets and the median transaction fee goes up to $10. This means people will be incentivized to use Lightning and do as much LN transacting as possible before a channel must be closed.

During the entirety of the bear market Lightning has been preparing itself for exactly such an occurrence, all the while its critics were talking about how it will harm miners and is unsafe to use. Meanwhile its grown in leaps and bounds, and will continue to grow the higher BTC goes.

Incidentally, while BTC is up 14+% in the last 24 hours, BCH is up over 27% in the same time frame.

Bitcoin's rising tide lifts all altcoins, which tend to go up higher because they are considered to be more risky investments. This has always been the case. BCH and SV aren't rising on their own merits. I suspect they will continue to lose positions in the CMC ranking because their primary marketing tactic continues to be confusing newcomers into thinking they are "the real bitcoin." Its been a failure for them so far and there's no reason to believe that will change in the future.

Put yourself in the shoes of the average business owner who is still skeptical of cryptocurrency and is only beginning to consider adopting BTC for their business... Then along comes this chatter about how BCH and SV are better, and they look into it, only to discover that now they have to learn how to use and install 2 more wallets that aren't compatible with BTC, in the hopes that they will have customers who want to pay in BCH and SV. Largely, nobody still wants to pay in BTC, so there's little chance they're going through the hassle of bothering with coins that are not _actually_ bitcoin.
7788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 02, 2019, 04:24:17 PM
Congrats to all the big-time hodlers, these are the types of moments you've been waiting for.

If BTC goes up another couple hundred bucks, my sig campaign will officially be paying for my rent.

Here's hoping we at least remain over $4,500 and things stabilize above there...

'Night all. Enjoy your green dildos.

I submitted my application, please give me my Double Down!

This beast of a sandwich is a culinary experience and a half. If you haven't had one yet, run to your nearest KFC and get one. Get the fried breast, not grilled, you wussies. Then take a taxi or an Uber back because you may have to use the restroom shortly. Regardless, you'll know it was worth it!!

So many to choose from...

- sending merits
- receiving merits
- reporting posts
- being in DT
- being an asshole

*MATCHED*

But being an asshole is required for being in DT, so I'm tagging you for being redundant.

Speaking of redundant,

All grave crimes according to our resident criminology expert who is conspicuously absent from the KYC process.

Probably in the middle of writing a 2,500 word essay to theymos about why he is wrong for mandating KYC. This person is perfect in every way and has never been wrong, so I have no reason to tag them.
7792  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: April 01, 2019, 01:33:37 PM
Everyone posting their real selfie here deserves an honorary mention in this thread.

I was just thinking that... Ay caramba. The average merit of an actual selfie uploader is about 0.1. (Edit: just saw a Full Member do it, increases the average to about 8 [facepalm])

I guess some people don't care if others know who they are or not, and good for them I suppose. Not sure anything good has ever come from somebody uploading pictures of themselves to this forum, though...

7793  Other / Meta / Re: Please list your biggest crime here. (Mandatory) on: April 01, 2019, 10:09:42 AM
