782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever invested in an ICO? on: November 08, 2017, 06:53:18 AM
And do they have a future in general?

I think regulation can be good...right now just seems like there are so many (potential) scams.

Yes, i have invested in ICOs.

I've invested in Antshares(NEO now) as well as Datum which is still ongoing. Antshares obviously turned out to be a great investment, though i definitely sold way too early at just a fraction of the current price being traded at.

ICOs are only emerging now as a viable way of making investments. It'll continue to make an impact.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kucoin & Binance are the new Bittrex & Polo ? seems so. on: November 08, 2017, 06:44:58 AM
I'm not entirely sure about Kucoin since i haven't done any research on how their token functions within their exchange environment so it would be inappropriate for me to comment on that matter. But Binance is definitely looking like a strong favorite to be the next big thing.

They have great community involvement which is probably the most overlooked part of an exchange.

Can definitely achieve great results if they keep up their good work.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC GOLD GOOD or NO on: November 08, 2017, 05:45:14 AM
DO you things btc gold is good

Bitcoin gold is pure marketing in my opinion. Its main function seems to be ASIC resistant and whatnot, but then these are all functionalities that other coins such as LTC and VTC have already tried to implement, and have continued to be developed. It's not like it's anything new.

In my opinion, it's going to be a pure pump and dump coin.

In the end, it's going to be virtually worthless.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had 15 Ether, where would you invest for the long term Today on: November 08, 2017, 05:43:12 AM
I have 15 Ethers, that I have managed to saved in the last 1 year. Where would you invest, taking a long-term point; say a timeframe of about 2 to 3 years. A moderate risk portfolio in cryptocurrency. Some advise would be nice...

My only tip - diversify.

The coins don't really matter as much as when you sell. Don't get greedy. Don't expect every single coin to blow up and take your profits if you can, when you still can and don't be the one left holding the bag.

Buy some BTC, buy some new ICOs, and buy some old coins that still got gas in them like PPC or XMR.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone in Bitconnect? Scam coin? on: November 08, 2017, 05:32:36 AM
The early investors have made out like bandits in Bitconnect but all the late comers
will get killed when the Ponzi scheme fails. Nobody knows when that will happen.

Correct. If you look onto youtube you'll see that there is a ton of people promoting the Bitconnect scam including one popular youtuber which i won't name here but you can find quite easily by just searching up bit connect.

They're the reason bit connect had so much success in getting people's money out of their pockets in the first place, and they're earning affiliate earnings.

It's way too late to join the game. Plus joining a ponzi is essentially a gamble, you're much better off gambling your money in a dice site. At least you have a fair chance of winning.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alternative Cryptocurrency Analysis on: November 08, 2017, 05:27:56 AM
Interesting! Obviously the alt space is cluttered with shit projects and it's good to have some experienced guy here to judge projects with equality. To start things off, let me suggest Monero(ticker is XMR). Personally believe that it's one of the only legit projects out there.

If you also have the time, analyze IOTA for us as well please Smiley The promise of 0 fee transactions are good, but their code still needs lots of development.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Ethereum Really Overtake Bitcoin? on: November 08, 2017, 05:23:13 AM
Over the past few years, Bitcoin has become the hallmark of crypto currencies, being the first popular currency as well as the most popular, and has attracted many to invest. Bitcoin has made quite a few millionaires, and has attracted the watchful eye of governments and rich entrepreneurs alike.

As bitcoin rose in value, it spurred the creation of many other cryptocurrencies, including litecoin, Dash and ZCash. However, among the thousands of alternative coins, or altcoins, none have gained as much traction as a new competitor who entered the market early 2015: Ethereum. Similar to other currencies in the sense it was probably inspired by Bitcoin, Ethereum, provides a key additional function that many other currencies lack: uses outside of a peer to peer transaction base.

But does Ethereum really have the potential to overtake Bitcoin?

Read Full Article:
http://bitguru.co.uk/can-ethereum-really-overtake-bitcoin/

Nope. We honestly do not need dApps or smart contracts. All we need right now is a functional cryptocurrency with a strong community support and lots of recognition worldwide. I don't think that it is disputed that bitcoin is the #1 crypto.

And it'll remain that way, unless Ethereum steps up their game big time. As the founder said, ETH isn't even a currency.

Bitcoin has the most potential out of every single altcoin in my opinion.
789  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell your bitcoin NOW. November 8, 2017 on: November 08, 2017, 05:21:45 AM
I fruitful advise to all,

You need to sell your bitcoins now. This is because the btc is about to correct its price.

Dont wait for 8000 usd price btc will not reach that price yet.

After price correction, buy btc again.

BTC Price at coinmarketcap = 7,126.02 USD / BTC

Good advice. Though i can see that after this current dip the price will likely head upwards again before a huge dump that drives price downwards. Doesn't really hurt to have some BTC remaining in your portfolio since in my opinion BTC will likely head up to $10k this year.

But right now, a big correction is definitely due as you said.

Buy when price goes down to 5-6k per coin. Sell at $8-9k.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If planning to HODL I think now is the time, which three coins will make it? on: November 08, 2017, 05:20:25 AM
I would choose Viacoin to invest in for mid-term, potential x10

long term x50-100

https://medium.com/@viacoin/viacoin-development-update-10-2017-a4652e7676d2

Yeah i think that niacin right now seems pretty nice, especially at a dip like right now. It has potential to be able to make it out of the pile of altcoins that nobody talks about to one of the household names if done right.

The development has to go forward first, though.

If the development goes forward, so will the price. Long term Hodl i'm going with XMR.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your fav long term hold alt coins? on: November 07, 2017, 10:12:37 AM
I like :
walton
iota
vertcoin

Fingers crossed in 2-3 years time they will be huge.

Not sure about Walton or Vertcoin but i think that IOTA has potential to hit great heights. I'm having my eyes set on a $5 target by the end of next year, just because of the sheer amount of potential i can see from the coin.

There's also Byteball which i think is extremely overlooked by most people.

ZCash has some potential as well as soon as this price drop stops.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Wallets for altcoins on: November 07, 2017, 09:43:16 AM
Coinomi would be your best bet. I also used Jaxx but let me down, too slow to load, some significant issue seems unable to solve. Plus, Jaxx no longer supports older android phones while Coinomi still supports it.

Yes, coinomi is a good option. For simplicity i actually use coin payments to store my funds, since you are able to automatically forward your coins to an assigned address and transaction fees are subsidized by them currently.

Exodus is another good multi coin wallet, but the amount of coins supported is very low.

It's really preferential more than anything, see which one is your best fit.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SIA COIN on: November 07, 2017, 09:39:26 AM
what do you thin about siacoin.can we get profit from that coin

Lots of potential involved in the project and i like the attitude of the dev of the project. Obviously there are no guarantees how much profit it can make in the long run, but it has a lot of potential, much more than other pump and dump coins in the long run.

We've also seen how high the price can go with it reaching a peak of 750 sats/SC this year.

Great idea to accumulate now if you're ready to invest. The price is 1/15 of what it was at the ATH.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It seems that altcoins are on the rise on: November 07, 2017, 09:35:43 AM
I have been checking out a few altcoins for investment, like Spectrecoin and Shia coin (and a few others)  and it seems they all have started to rise. I am waiting for my funds to arrive in Kraken and I am a bit worried that we will see a nice upwards movement of altcoins since the bitcoin price is not moving much right now.
Is this the start of the a bullish trend for altcoins many where hoping for,  or is this just a temporary consolidation because of bitcoin not rising for the moment? Will the altcoin market gain momentum, what are your thoughts?

this is definitely a bull run that we're seeing. Bitcoin rise is taking a break at the moment and as expected, altcoins have been performing way above the mark that it has been for the past couple of days which is down.

This bull wave has not hit all altcoins so if you're waiting for your deposit still, it's probably a good idea to look at coins that haven't been pumped still and buy into them instead of buying into altcoins already pumped 20-30%.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone in Bitconnect? Scam coin? on: November 07, 2017, 08:21:11 AM
I got lost in the crypto Youtube world and everyone has these Bitconnect accounts and I watched a couple of videos and it sounds like a Ponzi scheme waiting to happen in a year.  What do you guys think?

You're spot on! And thankfully you do realize the consequences of this coin being a ponzi scheme. I know personally that many people know this is a scam but still promote it to others for their personal gains in terms of affiliate income.

This is not only misleading but also immoral in my opinion.

Bitconnect is no different to make money fast schemes or MMM global.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Theymos's list of altcoins with some technical merit on: November 07, 2017, 08:18:55 AM
Honestly Monero is probably the most interesting project that i've personally seen and their goals are quite realistic. Their dev have even said that monero is likely going to fail in the end, which is an extremely realistic outlook in my opinion.

Community is great as well.

I would have given at least 10 in my opinion, but it's really up to you Tongue
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin forks destroying atlcoins! on: November 07, 2017, 08:03:06 AM
This is the time when I wish I had a lot of fiat money right now so I can buy more altcoins. I'm new to crypto and first time experiencing the effect of forks. For those experts, Is it possible that some altcoins will not be able to recover after the fork?

I don't know whether there are any correlations between bitcoin forking and altcoin price right now. It may just be since the price of bitcoin has gotten up so much in recent days that altcoins are naturally becoming less valuable.

Just my two cents, just because a bitcoin fork happens doesn't mean that alts will be 100% going down.

Once a correction hits bitcoin, alts will go back up like today.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free Tokens News on: November 07, 2017, 08:01:32 AM
As you may know, some ICOer offer free tokens if you sign up their website, in order to make their ICO coins/tokens known and help them to promote the ICO.
This is really a reasonable way to get some good coins/tokens before they can be traded, like nowadays WCX tokens.

However it is not easy to get those information. So I plan to create a Telegram channel to offer those news in the first hand.

Please join us: https://t.me/freetokensnews

Great idea to publish this information over telegram.

However just a tip, you should probably filter out all of the duplicate projects out there that basically offer the same thing as existing projects as they are likely not to reach an exchange at all and not be worth anything.

Also, airdrops should be ignored, since most are completely BS right now.
799  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins.com,Dispute taking long time, Possible Agent Corrupt,10daysWaiting on: November 07, 2017, 07:53:11 AM
I can assure you that he is most likely lying.

It would be obvious tfor the good of LBC for them to screen out any corrupt referees of trades and the person in question here is simply trying to extort money out of you in hoes that you will believe his story about a corrupt agent.

The 10 day wait is definitely too high though. But they'll pull through eventually. If it turned out to be an actual corrupt agent, then contact LBC support about it.
800  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Short Selling on: November 07, 2017, 07:51:21 AM
Does Bittrex support short selling?

Nope. Margin trading is still not available on bittrex, so therefore you can only take on long positions with whatever money you have right now without any sort of add-on leverage. Just the way it is right now but they are planning on adding it in the future.

See this article: https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000762772-Margin-Trading-Availability

You can use poloniex/bitfinex for shortsells though.
