I generally do not care about preseason games. Because it is just away for the teams to give the players a good time on the court. Teams also generally play those players who do not get enough playtime in the season. I am going to be honest, I did not see any of these matches. Because they managed to get the two winning goals in the +90th minute, of course luck was still on Manchester United's side in that match. Chelsea sure has improved and is showing dominance with the recent wins including todays match. I would have expected nothing less against Burnley because they are much weaker compared to Arsenal, of which is Chelsea's next opponent. Sterling has his name on the score sheet and am sure his presence in the team is now being felt more than ever. Am looking forward to tomorrow matches of which is the hottest and am hoping Arsenal gets to win against Manchester city in their face off tomorrow. After a series of poor performances, we have seen better performances from Chelsea in the last three matches. They beat Brighton in the EFL Cup. In the last two matches they have won away matches against Fulham and Burnley. And in both these matches, Chelsea's performance was quite good. A 4-1 win against Burnley will surely boost the confidence of the Chelsea players. They played really well in this match. They were able to find the weakness in Burnley's defence. And managed to score 4 goals despite attacking less. But just because they won against Burnley, I can't say that the team will be able to play well against Arsenal. Arsenal are a very experienced team. And the bond between their players is very strong. I think Arsenal will win against Chelsea. |

The afghans were playing well and I thought they would score at least three hundred runs. The pitch was batting-friendly and their start wasn't bad at all. But they collapsed too early from 110/2 to 156/10. That was unexpected. I was kinda surprised when I saw the scorecard after the first innings. They lost their wickets constantly.
Anyway, I always have doubts about the ability of Bangladeshi batters. I don't want to believe that they will win the match that easily. They have records that make such an easy match to a hard game. Congratulations to them as they managed to win the match already.
Afghanistan started their innings very well. They lost their first wicket for 47 runs and their second wicket for 87 runs. Their run rate was quite good. They collected 100 runs and lost only two wickets. But even after that, the Bangladeshi bowlers' rampage started. Shakib destroys Afghanistan's top order. And Miraz, Taskin and Shariful did not allow any of Afghanistan's middle order players to stay at the crease for long. Today I saw the performance of Bangladesh bowlers. Spinners got 7 wickets. But I will say that the pace bowling attack of Bangladesh has improved as much as it is commendable. Bangladesh batted at a low target. Even then Bangladesh's two openers failed. Both the openers must bat responsibly. Otherwise Bangladesh will not be able to collect big against any big team. |
