782  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Senator Ted Cruz Unveils Obamacare Repeal Act on: February 14, 2015, 11:52:15 AM
Well, it looks like the game is on, let's see how many of the republicans are willing to do the right thing. Looks like it's time to go all in and call the democrats bluff and put them back on their heels.

784  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 5 Reasons Congress Should Reject Obama’s ISIS War on: February 14, 2015, 11:42:05 AM
We were told that it is heading into a World War III. Scary thought. It will be scary if Iraq goes around the world asking for help everywhere. And the countries help
785  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: February 14, 2015, 11:39:20 AM
Everywhere that has Islam is horrible and oppressed so to think its a positive thing is awful. There's also not a lot of other religions so quiet against people who blow up woman and children, let's be real it's not civilized anymore and the Muslims don't fight the extremists so they seem to be tolerated. I've known some really good Muslim people but what I see going on in Africa and the Middle East is deplorable. Muslims need to fight the extremists and lift the stain they've placed on the religion.

Lindsey Graham running means that the establishment/warmonger vote is divided.
787  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Indian Grandfather Paralyzed After Encounter With Alabama Police on: February 14, 2015, 11:34:01 AM
My goodness. This poor gentlemen. Imagine, coming from a small village/town in India and being a farmer and suddenly, you're thrust into the midst of this strange country, strange land, probably strolling his son's neighborhood and seeing open garages and marveling at the riches and trapping of this land he's heard so much about. And then this.
788  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll: Most Americans back ground troops in ISIS fight on: February 14, 2015, 11:32:06 AM
I used to like Obama, but he definitely could do a much better job to defeat isis....he must be more aggressive on this one.....(I wish we have more money and much more updated equipment....to our troopers.....in a same time, I wish to save all those beautiful young life's of the solders.....but we are dealing with real terrorists in here....)
789  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Surprise: Government has been wrong about cholesterol for 40 years on: February 14, 2015, 11:30:06 AM
One step in the right direction. The next step should be to realize that cholesterol in your body is not responsible for heart disease but instead things like smoking and eating tranfats are. Read The Cholesterol Myth, it is very good at explaining it. And by all means do not let your doctor talk you into statins take fish oil instead. The way statins probably work is that they are have anti inflammatory properties which help to prevent cholesterol from depositing in inflamed arteries to repair them. Cholesterol will do this if your cholesterol level is 140 or 300. Fish oil does the same thing and a whole lot safer.
790  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The little Blockade against China must be lifted ASAP. on: February 14, 2015, 11:26:59 AM
I find it hard to believe the dock workers would allow this to happen. It is too easy for scabs to move in, and once they are in, they are like fleas in blankets……you can never get rid of all of them.
791  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Escalation In Ukraine Could Mean on: February 14, 2015, 11:25:07 AM
Wouldn’t surprise me to see Russia re-establish the buffer between itself and Europe, which would include the Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia to the west and all of the Caucasus, down to Iran, in the east. Both areas being strategically important to them for energy transportation.
792  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 22 Veterans Every Day on: February 14, 2015, 11:22:14 AM
It was painful for this Vietnam vet to read the following post by Wounded Times. Having said the horrible truth in the comment I must ponder it, because it brings to light serious consequences for governance. I'd like "any" congressional rep to hold any hearing on the topic at any VA facility while VA clinicians listen to what is being said. I'd like any veteran service organization to sponsor it and step up. Time to dig deeper on what can be done locally. Here's my presentation to a group asking my opinion as a clinician what my thoughts were. Although a bit academic readers will get the gist.
793  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US military to train Kiev troops fighting in E. Ukraine – US Army commander on: February 13, 2015, 07:22:06 AM
I wouldn´t worry much about US training if i was a Russian...They trained what,The Iraqis 10 YEARS and look how they ran...Trained the Afghanis who will be overun by Taliban as soon as the last plane of Western troops leaves....Uuuuuhh and the latest my favourite...Been training the Yemenis for ages and Today they ran outta there as Rebel Houthis took over the country...hahahhahahah!!Ukrainians are naturals...They have been deserting and surrendering to the rebels and some crossing over to Russia since the war started so the American training will just accelerate their RUNNING AWAY

795  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.S. court rules residency requirements for pistol buys is unconstitutional on: February 13, 2015, 06:40:57 AM
Forbidding people in one state the access to purchasing firearms in another state, is about as half-baked as requiring an electrician who lives in Vermont to obtain an electrician's permit to work in New Hampshire...or requiring people driving into another state, to get the local Driver's License! MADNESS!

798  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NBC (aka MainStreamMedia) Nightmare on: February 13, 2015, 06:34:56 AM
Brian's got a real big problem on his hands now, and so does his network. Except for his loyal die hard brainwashed followers, most reasonable people now are going to be wondering if he's telling the truth on what he talks about or is giving his take on a story as to how he believes it should be understood, even if he has to, shall I say, lie. Not exactly a trusting relationship with viewers. They may have to 'can' him eventually.
799  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Republicans Eye Changes to Food-Stamp Program on: February 13, 2015, 06:33:25 AM
Notice they are not going to do anything about why so many people needed for stamps to begin with - their ineptness at governance - they just attack their victims. They think politics is about destroying the other side when in power.
