781  Economy / Speculation / Re: When can we expect sub $350 price? on: September 03, 2016, 07:25:00 AM
Unlikely we will see 350s again unless something disastrous happened

If polo and bittrex is hacked by scammer maybe 350$ market price is possible happen. And i think Ethereum will go to the moon when Bitcoin dump hard.
Because that two big exchange contains a lot of volume in their market, But i'm not so sure if the two exhange are the biggest, but it will gave same effect.

@OP, For now just stop speculating for that price. Just face the reality Cheesy

lol, only ethereum bag-holders are wishing this, but in reality this will never happen, people have been disappointed in ethereum so many times that they find it hard to invest in it, the volume you see is manipulation only.

and even if 3 more exchanges get hacked the price will go down but it will come back up to $570+ in matter of 1-2 days tops just like before so there is no time for anybody to even think about spreading FUD and pump their alts.

If centralized exchanges keep getting hacked, people will avoid leaving bitcoins in exchanges (if they haven't stopped doing so already). Some bad press will come from the events, but there will be no long-term damage. If we have survived Mt Gox, we can survive anything.  Smiley
782  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you use a Bitcoin debit card? on: September 03, 2016, 07:22:15 AM
No, we can not use bitcoin debit card in present because there is no facility to use bitcoin debit card but i am sure we will be soon get this facility in the future and it will be more good for bitcoin users that use bitcoin debit card in everywhere.

What are you smoking? There are multiple bitcoin debit cards which are operational.
Try Xapo. Or better still, just do a google search.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: Selling Lemonade for Bitcoins? on: September 03, 2016, 07:20:27 AM
I have a small gardening business which offers a 10% discount for paying oin bitcoin, still no one has but im sure they will sooner or later.  Roll Eyes

Offer more discount, > 20%, if you can.

The savings on credit card charges is ~2%, which can be passed on to customers.
A discount of 20% would break most businesses.  Smiley

I will be watching out for its launch.
When will we get to know about the extent of pre-mine?

Roll Eyes ... Yeah.. right?.. WT^F??  Cheesy

First of all this is about how can we create a 100.000$ - 200.000$ bubble in BTCitcoinLandia.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Well the solution was like this... Buy... then hodl... then buy some more and hoddle some more. But... wait?.. what?... Because NO! .. that is not enough!

So the appropriate solution is to create weird kind of business selling anything! Sell old stuff... garage style selling, antiques, paintings, statues, flowers from your garden.. or potatoes & tomatoes... clothes.. etc... So basically.. Anything will do!

And one of the most interesting and appealing would be the one in the title... Selling Lemonade yo! Cheesy ... Just put your children in front of your house with the classic old fashion table... and the sign on it! And this goes for all the others mentioned above.

"Accepting only BTCitcoin!"... and maybe under the sign some promotional advertising...  "We also give weekly subscriptions or monthly! For respectively 1 liter/0.33 gallons per day. For the weekly subscription you have 10% discount and for the monthly one you have 25%."  Cheesy

Have at it! ... And don't forget to HODL!  Wink

Rather than accepting just bitcoin, you should accept fiat as well and offer discounts for the use of bitcoins.
That way, people would appreciate the advantages of using bitcoins.
786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warning on: September 02, 2016, 01:39:40 AM
We all know that people who say the Bitcoin price will rise/fall are usually spammers or account farmers.

There are a lot of dedicated bull/ bear accounts around.
They don't wear a signature (to avoid getting banned for spam), but do what it takes to try and spread FUD
787  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: September 02, 2016, 01:37:17 AM
First of all, don't invest your whole networth into bitcoin, that's irresponsible and could ruin you depending on what happens. Now to your question, yes I think an house is a smart investment it will take away alot of monthly costs but add some new ones dont forget about that.

I don't think anybody, except hardcore gamblers, would invest their entire net worth into bitcoins. It is foolhardy.
The mantra is never invest more than what you can afford to lose.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: September 02, 2016, 01:36:07 AM
Pakistan has a chance here to come back into this game. England has lost its fifth wicket and if they can take Bairstow's wicket, then it will be interesting.Pakistan is really unpredictable, sometimes they play brilliantly and the some days they play like club cricketers  Smiley

England manages to win this match by four wickets. In this match England, top orders failed to score runs but middle order batsman builds up good partnerships to win this match. Pakistan score was not so high but England need to put really a lot of effort to win the match, and they won this series with 4-0.

After the strong show in the test matches, not many would have predicted such a scoreline in the ODIs.
The England team seems to have really outclassed the Pakistanis.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 28, 2016, 06:46:50 AM
What an amazing match this was between West Indies and India. I was so excited to see how things will unfold specially in the last part of the match where situation by just going in favor of each side. West Indies finally won by 1 runs. This is twenty20 format where everything matters in order to win the match. Both teams played really very well which the beauty of this game.

With the match going down to the last ball, India will be disappointed to lose.
India did play well to come close to such a big total.
790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: August 28, 2016, 06:45:42 AM
I think it is important to diversify, rather than go all in one.

verify how friends ..?, I see that it's true this is a pretty good step for this month IE buy bitcoin. However the purchase price provides not just a bitcoin, however the purchase of services that are fun and also convenient is the nature of the bitcoin.
It's diversify; meaning that he's having his money in a variety of different assets instead of putting all of his money in a single asset, so if one asset does poorly and loses him value he still doesn't lose as much as he could have if he had all of his money in a single asset. This technique is used by a majority of traders around the world and it protects them from losses.

The important point is that the different asset classes should have low correlation. As per data available now, Bitcoin's returns have almost zero correlation with the returns on other assets. Hence Bitcoin can be used for diversification.
791  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: August 28, 2016, 06:43:23 AM
I am not sure we can, but at my opinion , miners in china with can do this if they will unite, cause people who mining always have enough coins to sell and etc.
the small investors such as me definitely cannot manipulate the price and i doubt that it is ever going to be possible for us because the volume is just too big now

And the volume keeps increasing. If you want to manipulate the price, try some alt where you would actually be a 'whale'.
That is how pump and dump schemes work.
792  Economy / Economics / Re: Soo, I'm planning on buying €1000 in bitcoins. Yes or no? on: August 28, 2016, 06:42:06 AM
Yea it is good to invest 100o euro but if you want to invest be careuful if you want invest i know perfect site with 10 referral levels so pm me if you want to invest your money withou any risk.

The OP is talking about buying bitcoins. That is way safer than investing in a referral site.
No sense in getting tangled with ponzis when you can buy bitcoins and see them appreciate.
793  Economy / Services / Re: How can be more productive online? on: August 28, 2016, 06:40:05 AM
It's so hard for me to look for an online job.
I wan to work now but I am a mom and just an online surfer and I can't see myself productive in just surfing the net, where can I invest my time now? I try to work on pay-per-click, but I can see it so slow, because I think it's for only those who wants extra money, but still I'm working there because I don't have any choice. Smiley I'm still searching work.
Do you know any sites that the only investment is skills and time??
I can write an articles. I can perform tasks.
Even though they pay in minimum wage..
Thanks Mate!

If you can write articles, look up this site

You can make more than minimum wage.  Smiley
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do 2-of-2 multisig addresses make escrows irrelevant? on: August 23, 2016, 11:59:48 PM
As far as I understand, a multisig address is derived from two other addresses. Now, if the buyer and seller agrees to make a multisig address and deposit the buyer's funds there, it should be safe since both parties must agree before the funds can move, right?

Or do we still need 3rd party escrows? I've seen some very reputable escrows on this forum that suddenly turned into scams.

Ethereum and smart contracts might tend to make escrows irrelevant.   Smiley
Of course, getting them to work as you desire might not be easy.
As demonstrated by the DAO hack.
795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins new trend on: August 23, 2016, 11:59:08 PM
I think its not "new trend" as you mentioned in headline. Bitcoin is doing that for years already, with sometimes pretty big up and down trends. Some people say its cause demand and supply of the coins, some people say specific things that happen can inflict price to go up or down, whales and bears can move the market, along with who many how much factors.
Bitcoin is still here, people still using it, and as I see its growing every year. More people joining, more sites using it, that mean something, and no matter how much bitcoin fall or how much it rise, we are here and bitcoin is fine, working properly.

The bitcoin's long term trend is to be used by more and more people as it offers better functions than conventional fiats.
thats true, more and more people are into holding bitcoins right now or using it, the adoption is massive and i think bitcoin can only grow because of that

I think the bitcoin price will resume its uptrend very soon. People will forget about the Bitfinex hack soon.

It is not just the Bitfinex hack. It is also to do with the excess euphoria before the halving.
In some sense that contributed to overpricing around July.
Once those effects wear off, the uptrend will resume.
796  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-23] Anonymous bidder bought $1.6 mln of last Silk Road bitcoins on: August 23, 2016, 11:57:50 PM
Anonymous bidder bought $1.6 mln of last Silk Road bitcoins
US Marshals Service has auctioned 2,700 BTC in a single lot mostly combining seized funds from a few Silk Road related cases.
http://www.coinfox.info/news/6244-anonymous-bidder-bought-1-6-mln-of-last-silk-road-bitcoins

It possibly would be a big fish like Tim Draper.
The US agents won't disclose the buyers until they themselves decide to make it public.
797  Economy / Economics / Re: Soros is shorting on: August 21, 2016, 01:10:35 PM
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/soros-nearly-doubles-down-bearish-bet-against-sp-500-2016-08-16

Looks like he is doubling his short position betting for basically another collapse. Time to stock up on BTC.

Soros is a very good investor. Always worth to see what the big guys are buying.

Soros is bearish for a while now. He build a huge position in gold in the last months.
Agreed, but it's always possible he's wrong.   Anyone can be, you know. Having said that,  I do think the stock market is kinda sorta really high right now,  and if I had enough money I'd buy some land, dig my bunker,  and hide out until stocks are cheap again.

Bwa ha, me too re buying land and a bunker.

But, you would want to "under-buy" your land (buy less than you can afford), property is very easy to tax, and they would.  Make sure to have enough money to pay off the tax collectors.

Agreed that stocks are dangerously high.

Unfortunately, tax collectors return every year.  Tongue
It is not just stocks which are dangerously high. Quantitative easing has made any asset class worth its salt go through the roof.
798  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the 2016 - BTC Price Prediction on: August 21, 2016, 01:06:18 PM
My prediction is $900-950. I don't think that we will be able to cross the $1,000 mark this year, as there is too much resistance. A lot of guys are going to sell at $900-950 levels. Also, I believe that it will take some time for the block reward halving to have the full effect, by removing the excess amount of coins from the market.

Given that there are no immediate upward drivers, a 50% growth in the last 4 months of the year looks unlikely.
There could be further profit booking if we remain at these levels.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 21, 2016, 12:47:53 PM
Sri Lanka has very slow run rate even some partnerships were seeming to be in action. Australia till this point is having full control over the match. I think Sri Lanka will make hardly 230 runs though pitch is bit strange behaving but still I have confidence in Australia to see it having good start at ODI series after loosing test series.

Yes, with only 3 wickets in hand, Sri Lanka look poised for a total of around 225.
Australia will be relishing the change in fortunes in the shorter version of the game.
800  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do we need loans, since we have subsidies? on: August 21, 2016, 12:46:14 PM

But it can only be used for specific cases, unlike with loans where you can mostly spend it where you want.
(e.g. Child Care Subsidy,  Health Insurance Subsidy, Subsidized Housing etc)
Exactly, even if I get a subsidy I can not spend them on things that I want, most of us take a loan is not always to gamble or do somthing bad but sometimes also to develop our business or anything unexpected happens in our lives, and it's proccess is quite fast, in my area you can get loan only in couple minutes

If you can get a loan in a couple of minutes, it means that you have sufficient assets to back up the loan.
Subsidies, on the other hand, are given by the government to people who need help.
