781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon on: May 10, 2016, 02:03:21 PM
mcxNOW did not shut down with a good reputation contrary to your claims.
it left a sour taste in many mouths..
Mind to elaborate?

I also heard no reason what so ever why we all need another exchange
and what this does different other than claims of running on c++ etc.
First, I think competition is a good thing. It is good when there are different exchanges that meet the taste of different people.
Every exchange does some things a bit differently and users can choose which one to use.
I would like to contribute to this diversity, if you don't mind.

i can list them off and 8 out of 10 have been hacked etc..
for a total of around 1 BILLION dollars in end users funds stolen.
Of course trust is a key issue. Neither mcxNOW nor Solidcoin24 have been hacken. No funds were lost. I believe this adds to my credibility.

Further more why should we trust a fishy new "Junior" account here saying "we" ?
It's not that new. It's older than yours in fact.
I don't mean to be insulting, but producing posts containing baseless accusations doesn't make you a more credible person in any way. Especially not when I look at your trust rating.

Do you think i would so much as click on your web site link to see the preview ?
Fuck no.. i don't want you even having my IP address.. that is how much i don't trust you.
Well use a proxy then.

And you ran an exchange in 2011 ?
Where is it now ?
I closed it, due to a lack of time. It was a hobby and I didn't run it to make money. But the important thing is that everyone had time to withdraw their funds.

And if you are trying to distance yourself from the exchange it was born from
why on earth would you convert mcxNOW fee's ? That seems rather odd to me.
Where did I distance myself from the exchange it was born from?

I am not a HUGE RealSolid hater but there are many of them out there so have fun with that Wink
Good thing I am not Realsolid then Roll Eyes

@enlightened,

Are you RealSolid?

No. My name is Julian and I live in Germany.
But I think the original forum post is quite clear about that.

This is just RealSolid coming back under a different name, setting up everything for his next scam.
People be aware of this exchange!
How can it be the 'next scam' if there was no scam linked to his last exchange, nor was there with mine?
You are aware that I operated an exchange back in 2011? See also here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40471.0

Wow, they look nice!

I like the top right one the most.
May I use one of them with slight modifications?
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon on: May 08, 2016, 08:11:24 PM
Hi ,do you know any adimin from vixtrade exchange?  They did close last month with 1 bitcoin i deposited ...if anyone knew one of the vixtrade exchange admin  please let them know i still wait for my bitcoin to cashout!

We are not affiliated with them in any way, sorry.

When mcxNOW closed everyone had time to withdraw their coins for another 8 months.
When my SolidCoin24 exchange closed my users had 6 months to withdraw their coins.

Hope you get the opportunity to withdraw your 1 BTC as well!
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon on: May 08, 2016, 07:30:35 PM
Why did it close down before?  Roll Eyes

The support system hat to be extended. The exchange grew too fast and it was not possible to provide adequate support for that number of users anymore.

790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon on: May 08, 2016, 02:29:43 PM
The set of currencies which will be available on launch is still to be decided. The community will have a say in it of course.
What you see in the screenshots is just to give you an impression what the exchange will look like.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon on: May 08, 2016, 01:53:47 PM
What's the difference of rawx exchange site with other exchage sites?

Like mcxNOW was the fastest exchange that could handle the most requests, RAWX will be when it's released.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) | LAUNCHED ON AUGUST 7 on: May 08, 2016, 01:16:21 PM
Website: https://rawx.io

altcoin exchange

Beta released! Go to https://beta.rawx.io - Public launch was on August 7

mcxNOW was a successful and popular exchange which closed in late 2014 so that a better support system could be implemented. A redesign was also needed to handle the large increase in currencies needed to be a modern exchange.
While the delay has been much longer than anticipated it is finally nearing reality!

A new owner has taken over the site, my name is Julian and I ran SolidCoin24 one of the first successful Bitcoin exchanges in 2011. I have the necessarily motivation, experience and morals to run an exchange, my last site was not hacked and no customer funds were ever lost. Which is one of the main reasons I was able to acquire the mcxNOW technology from Realsolid as this was important to him.

Improvements over mcxNOW
As a lot of people may know one of the main reasons mcxNOW was so quick and efficient was the fact it had a custom C++ coded backend. That brings with it challenges and advantages, it takes more skill to use it effectively, but the upside is customers get a much better experience. I have the necessarily skills to take that C++ codebase forward, along with the frontend knowledge to develop a user friendly website. Since obtaining mcxNOW I have developed a more modern and cleaner frontend that takes better advantage of the power that the backend has and I am implementing the unfinished parts of the backend. But I will make sure to leave some power and customization in there for the advanced users as I am aware they were an important part of the mcxNOW culture!

The new name of the exchange will be RAWX which can be pronounced like "Raw - X" or "rocks", you can see the work in progress as I finish the site here :- https://rawx.io

Follow the progress
There is already some screenshots and an FAQ section on the page to give you an impression what it will look like. I also put some at the end of this post.
Additionally, you can sign up for a newsletter in case you want to be informed as soon as there is something new (especially a release date).
You can also join the #RAWX IRC channel on freenode.

mcxFEE | RAWX fees
Old mcxNOW users might be aware of mcxFEEs. They were an on-exchange currency and allowed users to participate in the fees generated by the exchange. mcxFEE holders will be pleased to hear that their fees will be converted 1:1 to RAWX fees called rawxFEE. The total amount of rawxFEEs will still be 100,000.

I know that Realsolid had his own "style" in running an exchange, and that many people found that style offensive and unprofessional. I have a very different style and will hopefully be able to draw back in anyone who was affected by that.

793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ETH] Solidity Programming Language To Be Available In Visual Studio on: March 31, 2016, 01:00:30 PM
It means people can develop the smart contracts system using visual studio directly. They can create project/solutions easily.
Obviously. But in my opinion it means more than that. It means there is general effort to make development for Ethereum more attractive and that there is strong support from Microsoft. Generally a good sign I think.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ETH] Solidity Programming Language To Be Available In Visual Studio on: March 31, 2016, 12:23:35 AM
Quote from: Ethereum Blog
Consensys and Microsoft have announced that the Ethereum contract programming language Solidity will be available in Microsoft’s Visual Studio integrated development environment. ConsenSys and Microsoft collaborated on this integration to enable developers to rapidly build smart contract-based applications for the public Ethereum blockchain, as well as private and consortium blockchain deployments based on Ethereum. This integration is being revealed at //Build, Microsoft’s annual developer conference, in San Francisco on March 30th; Vitalik Buterin, Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin and Consensys Enterprise director Andrew Keys will be present.

What implications do you think this will have on ETH price?
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MicroCash. Now in Alpha 2 release. discussion on: March 11, 2016, 02:01:09 AM
If you are interested, there is now a MicroCash exchange: https://microcash24.com/
It went online about 1 hour ago.

5 years ago I ran the Solidcoin24 exchange, maybe you remember.
796  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - ownership changed (in a way) on: December 23, 2012, 04:36:37 PM
please stop being judge over morality or immorality.

I didn't call anyone immoral. This is my opinion, fullstop. Apparently contrary to you I'm able to accept others think differently.
797  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - ownership changed (in a way) on: December 23, 2012, 12:28:00 PM
@MPOE-PR:
Capitalism without restraint is as inhuman as communism.
The market has no conscience. What about people "the market" has no use for because they're ill or diabled? Shall they starve?
There has to be a social balance which can only be achieved through taxation of high incomes.
And please stop being judge over morality or immorality. Stop calling others liars or thieves. You are not right nor are the others right. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of which none is better than the other. Do you really think you are the one who knows the ultimate truth on a subject that has been being discussed over for the last 100 years with great intellectuals on both sides?

But on-topic again:
I my opinion all this is not a problem of Bitcoin but could have happened with any currency. I just hope the idea of enhancing the site with better features will work out. Through has (yet late) honesty some people might trust him again. And some of those who still have frozen coins probably want the site to be successful again and are going to use it anyway.
798  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - ownership changed (in a way) on: December 21, 2012, 02:03:43 PM
Thanks for your reply.

Even though I am angry about my lost Bitcoins I have to admit that partly it's also my (our) fault. I used your site and took it for granted, not donating anything. If you had made some sort of profit (through fees or donations) you wouldn't have had to try to gain money through speculation.

Personally, I would use your site if you introduced a fee and rating system.
799  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitMarket.eu Eternal withdrawal on: December 21, 2012, 02:56:35 AM
It's the same with me. I never had any problems with bitmarket and I found the idea of more or less directly trading with others very appealing.

In which country will you go to the police?
800  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitMarket.eu Eternal withdrawal on: December 20, 2012, 05:23:42 PM
disclaimer, this doesn't actually help.
As I said there must be a way to get these coins as this site is not hosted offshore (see here: http://www.dnswatch.info/dns/dnslookup?la=en&host=bitmarket.eu&type=A&submit=Resolve and here: http://www.dnswatch.info/dns/ip-location?ip=178.217.184.228&submit=Locate+IP)
