782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WHY NEWBIES KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTION " ITS TO LATE TO START MINING ? on: April 10, 2019, 01:03:47 AM
I am looking to get into mining but not in a big way. I just want to buy one or two GPUs and put into my existing computer. I figure if nothing else I can SLI them together for gaming...

The perfect reason to mine with a gpu or two.

And why it is never too late to start mining for a gamer.
Yeah gamer can mine instead and learn how mining can be profitable.
By the way if you have 0.7$ electricity price, you always be profitable even in the bear market like couple months ago. if you have good gpu like vegas

Dont be to hard on them"These noobs", crypto price driving up like crazy becauze of them, we should thanks fo their helps  Cheesy

thinking of bios modification to my ref vegas 56. Can someone please (that has done it) tells me a good stable config and the pros/cons of all this? does it worth it? already stable 56's with 1880h/s each

You cannot mod the BIOS of a Vega 56, you can only modify PowerPlay tables for Vega.  Alternatively, you can use Win10 and the latest beta version of OverdriveNTool 0.2.8beta1.  Also, you can swap the Vega 56 BIOS with the Vega 64 BIOS.  But you cannot mod a Vega BIOS.

HEllo thanks for your reply, yes i meant swapping bios..do you know any drawbacks like high temperatures etc or all just the same, my problems is that im living in a country with high ambient temps so i cant bear to set the fans any higher already i have a vega fan headache.already using overdrive (older version) to config vegas everything seted up via vega mining guide and powertable

IMO, temps are a big problem for vegas.  If you don't maintain the HBM2 temps BELOW 70 C, you will lose hashrate.  I didn't not notice a huge increase in temps when swapping 56 BIOS with 64.  Greater range for clocks and memory frequency increases temps proportionally.  Before messing with swapping BIOS, I'd solve your temp problem first.  In other words, why increase the clocks and frequency capability when it is simply going to throttle back?

Core1450mhz/906mv, mem 1090mhz/906mv fan at 3400/4900 with taget temp set to 67 you should be fine, at 32°C ambient temp, no problem happen on my rigs

its so long... they'll probably just close and bankruptcy at the end Lol........

when they came out from silence I was starting to be optimistic, but the more days are passing, the more I think this will happen...

Discord has been quite too, Looks like they are waiting for people to forget about their coins before opening the exchange for withdrawal.

lol they are fixing and already fixed there is a huge difference. They already took months to just tell us they are a hack and to show us not working site.
We need site live as soon as possible not just wait and read their tweets.

These read only mode creates more frustration seeing your balance stuck while BTC starts climbing and you cannot do anything.

The feeling of having our balance taken hostage during this green days  Cry
calm down and wait btc at 7k, and you can dump for pizza

792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are profits so low? on: February 20, 2019, 09:07:22 AM
my rigs cost me about $12 per day in electricity

im mining about $18+ per day worth of crypto, which i will not mention

to me, i am still profitable which is why i still mine

i do not sell my crypto to pay for electricity, i do that out of my own pocket

i invest all my mining earnings into a coin that i believe will be worth something greater in the future (gambling)
So only 50% profit from electricity, considering it loss if you mining under 110% from electricity
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【ANN】【RYO】【Cryptonight-heavy】 RyoCurrency - Privacy for everyone on: February 19, 2019, 12:47:02 AM
The guys in RYO are ANTI-ASIC and got the true Skillz needed to develop new unique features in crypto space.

The development of CN-GPU algo is even something that MONERO cannot achieve.

I hold RYO because i trust the developers through their actions, they all deserve credit for what they do for us.

Also everything I've seen speaks for some serious top of the line skills of the team, for example: They make XMR-STAK software, and other miners copy this code and release it as closed source miners.

Just wanna give some credit to RYO team, and don't complain that RYO code isn't open source, because then others would just steal the code.

My first post btw, cheers and good luck RYO hodl !

Monero preparing "random x" algo, and. March 9 they will fork to cnv4

FUDtalkdotorg

So many uneducated comments I don't even know where to start, so I won't. I'll just leave you folks to your little FUD echo chamber, its a shame the Mods of this site allow the kids in here to post what they do. This use to be a good site, now its worse than twitter/facebook comment section.

The behavior of SOME of the people in here doesn't deserve answers to the questions you're asking, even if there were answers right now.

Peace out
Yeah you right these forum made the problem looks even worse, cause bunch of kids yelling bs, had some  etn in there. Just waiitng the site reopen again

798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Who ordered the AMD Radeon VII? Lets make a list of Miners / Hashrates / Coins on: February 10, 2019, 11:12:56 AM
if eth moves to progpow then most likely amd cards are dead on it cause nvidia cards have a huge advantage on it. The good thing is ethash asics will be dead. Funny though, most people using miners in the north hemisphere is to heat their houses hehe, I believe eth price will increase many times this year but if not then many using miners to heat the house will turn off as soon as teh winter ends and dif will crash.
Lol, progpow use highbandwith memory like vega & vii,
The performance of video cards from AMD on the ProgPow algorithm.
AMD Radeon RX 550 = 1.5 MHS/sec.
AMD Radeon RX 560 = 3 MHS/sec.
AMD Radeon RX 580 = 8.2 MHS/sec.
AMD Radeon VEGA 56 = 20.5 MHS/sec.
AMD Radeon VEGA 64 = 23 MHS/sec.

799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.7.8 - native algo switching on: February 09, 2019, 03:20:56 PM
V1.7.8
- Added new algo 'CN-Gpu' (faster than original implementation in Xmr Stak)
- Much better auto setup on some cards for 'CN-Turtle'
- Added check for last sent share time
- Added aliases for algos, to be more compatible with other miner names
- Prettier stats (when pressing 's')
- Minor bug fixes

+ Ryo will fork soon to CN-Gpu algo
+ Added check for last sent share time, if no share was sent to pool for 30 minutes, miner will restart.
+ To make it easier for everyone, lots of algo name aliases were added, you can now use algo names from Stak, Xmrig, etc... Also you can use coin names, and if an alias exists, it will select the right algo for you.

Examples for "cryptonight_type" :

- tube
- monero
- cryptonight_turtle
- masari

etc..

Also added aliases for Masari, Stellite and Turtle for MoneroOcean, so miner will now switch to those coins.
is there any coin already mining on this algo cn-gpu?
any number for the benchmark cn-gpu?
