681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 800kW of power and a greenhouse on: October 28, 2020, 07:10:21 AM
with 800kw you can build 320 rigs :

asus b250 18 pcie + 2k psu + 8 gb + 120 gb ssd + 16 rx5700

eth hashrate 900mhs/2500watt

800kw/2.5kw =320 rigs x 900mhs = 288ghs in curent day you will be made 7750$/day  Cheesy nice profit but not easy to get the hardware and need times to build

Was thinking btc or ltc but eth if it pays like that would be a very interesting set up!
What would be the cost of something like that??
any information about sourcing parts and setting it up would be most welcomed!!

Many thanks for the input
 Smiley
yeah its accurate eth would earn 7750$/day with your electric,

85$ mb+40$ 8gb ram + 45$ cpu + 40$ ssd 128 + 50$ riser for 18 gpus + 350$ 2k psu + 5400$ for 18 rx 5700 + 40$ custom case =6050$ per rig

320 rigs x 6050$= 1.936.000$  Grin thats a lot investment , you can use eth asic but no future proof cause eth will switch full pos around a year

1.936.000$ is quite a price tag Shocked for this one and all this just to run for a year or so...maybe not so good idea after all
looking for something that will use the power in a smart way and make a sweet roi  Grin
hahaha its max profit you can get with your power, cheapest config is using asic, easy to config and deploy

higher risk and no reusable value after  couple years thats only problem, you need act fast, this begining bull run, btc hashrate already hit 10x from their ath price 2018

many ppl mining in iran their cheap 0.02$ electric make waves in mining industry.

683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less Volatile Coins on: October 26, 2020, 09:11:30 AM
I am a newbie on this forum and I have read my posts that people complaining how they lost their fund as a result of investing on Volatile coin like BTC. Is it now advisable for newbie like me to invest on less Volatile coin like Tether or Gemini USD.
Grin Grin Grin Grin they are stablecoin, no need to invest, less volatile coin maybe ltc,xmr will fit your choice

put small investment and try learn some trading by yourself, or try buy some rigs and the profit you can learn to trade from it

it less risk rather than your money direct to buy coin and make your nervous  Wink

684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: October 26, 2020, 09:06:36 AM
as of today, Polkadot entered top ten list of coins, pushing BNB out from the top ten, and BSV on the position ten
Polkadot is smart contract platform, and could be serious contender to Ethereum and other platforms, with Cardano just a few percents away on position eight

what do you think about it?
gavin wood polkadot is co-founder ethereum, and he has huge role on eth

with 3 years ico holding sure less dumping and many investor maybe forgot with their investment

polkadot is the next eth they wont compete but doing different way side by side attract more crypto enthusiast join the ship
685  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: October 26, 2020, 09:01:59 AM
defi hype exhausted with dozens clone each day came up with similiar things

even old project become defi-featured to attract new comers

crv is the worst dump, cause 2M coin inflation per day, like uniswap coin they doing same inflation model to high,

at this point defi farming begin to die slowly, btc bull run make even worst for defi to got support buyer, only left dumpers

polkadot leaded by gavin wood  Grin chill a bit ico price around 11k satoshi

you dont need to wory about the price, this coin is real deal, give a time to hold 1-2 year,

rather than you check every day and to much worry your investment minus each time cause btc heading north

after ico successfull launch many holder questioning same things
- when moon ... its first time at the biggest hope of early adopter,
and the coin seem starting to rocket, other question....
- when lamboo...the coin almost reach at the peak of unbeliveable price... Grin Grin then price downturn heavily
the last time is after holder miss the peak
- when toyota ... hoping the price bounce back a bit  Cry

i have issue rig stil mining but ethermine status 0 mhs reported sometimes in 2-3days mining, randomly happen

share continue nothing change but reported hashrate gone and avegare & current status  slowly downturn, seems weird, no error happening on console/miner

right now i tried different dns, something weird happen lately

this happen atleast when defi craze start, at first september, i.m using 0.6.1 btw, skipped 0.7.9 cause using 2% more power consumption

any idea new version trm will come out?

Hi! Just an explanation around the performance of 0.6.1 vs later versions. I've done some posts around it in our discord, but always good to provide the info here as well.

So, 0.6.1 is indeed a little more efficient. It's using a better choice of memory instructions than later versions. However, there's a big downside: the more efficient instructions won't work for > 4GB DAG, so after epoch 384 TRM 0.6.1 is dead for ETH. We chose to take the hit early and ship a generic version that can handle large epochs without any specific driver support. The 2% efficiency loss is from having to handle some aspects with compute instructions that in 0.6.1 is handled by the hardware. It would have been good to keep the older/more efficient kernels as well though, using them for as long as possible.

We are looking to do a kernel rewrite in the near future, I'd be hoping to maybe trim some fat off of those 2%, ending up somewhere between 0.6.1 and 0.7.15 in terms of efficiency. For raw hashrate, the differences are minimal.
i think sometimes missing reported hashrate  cuased by dns, i change norton dns and now 4 days quite stable,

thx advance for explanation for efficency, any idea how much vega hashrate for chikwa2?

before fpga take control, turtle mining very profitable in early days. just hoping new algo favor to gpus
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: October 22, 2020, 07:47:10 AM
As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?
ripple company continuesly dump their token each month, to much selling pressure and unclear regulation from u.s make ripple loss their steam

ripple going to move other country with more friendly regulation, but do you think will attract more adopter/buyer?

total market diluted ripple is to much, their printing coin every day and dump on market.

eth only leader alt whom can side by side with bitcoin  Grin
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello everyone! Do you still have confidence in altcoin? on: October 22, 2020, 07:38:51 AM
altcoin definetly needed for btc to complete the crypto ecosystem,

look eth bringing massive ppl to crypto and start crypto bull run in 2016-2018, so many project  came with new idea, riching crypto industry

many ppl more intersted in altcoin rather than btc is our mother of crypto,

we dont know which alt to bring crypto bullrun at this time.....
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An additional 6 billion Tether was minted October 21 on: October 22, 2020, 07:29:32 AM
Tether is being printed out in large numbers since March this year. Before printing 6 billion Tether more today they released 15.6 billion Tether. We currently have 21.6 million Tether.
I think the more Tether there is, the easier it will be for the price of Bitcoin to go up.
https://twitter.com/CryptoWhalebot/status/1318956720723550209?s=19

usdt printing definetly about upcoming btc pump, tether massive printing happen at crypto massive dump in march

from 4B$ and now 21B$, there is lot of money tether printing for upcoming bull run

same as usdc they printing more coin lately...surely these good sign for crypto, specially for btc
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: October 22, 2020, 07:24:42 AM
A lot of people have been burned by founders running away with with ICO money. It tarnishes the reputation of cryptocurrencies and I believe we should help educate new investors as soon as possible.

Can anyone share a checklist of the things they look for to determine if a coin is worth investing in?

And what are the red flags that you often see people fall for?
first check the ratio how much coin they sell, inflation, total coin in circulation, time vesting, and many more about spec coin itself

if they promising listing price definetly red flags.

check roadmap, whitepaper, team behind it.

look structure their announcement, website, other information...

lot of mining manager but there is no feature for sms/text command

atleast i manage to create mining rig remote sms & web based using raspy

because there is some crash will make your router/internet down, but you cant restart them via internet

sms only way to fix the issue remotely  Grin
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think DeFi season is going to be just like Altcoin season? on: October 20, 2020, 02:20:32 PM
defi seasong more similiar with alt lending + alt season, both of the combine with short term hype

basically most of ppl out there beyond crypto, defi more intersting rather than alt general cause their focus on incentives

alt season in other stories, many dead project wil rise to surface again after btc hit new ath and attract more buyer and fresh money from outside

and the times has come for alt to fluorish again  Grin
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Earning $78 A DAY?! Staking Cryptocurrency | Passive Income W/ NRG, Earn, Mining on: October 19, 2020, 05:12:43 AM
staking it has many trick, every project doing different structure how staking works, instead flat x,xx%

there is how much coin you should hold in 1 wallet to trriger the button, or is there a limit how much coin doesnt affect even you put so much  coin in the stake

or is there rules to use multiwallet in staking, each wallet hold sum coin just to trigger the stake, so you can install multi wallet to gain more stake

many rules in different project aka hidden staking like this make worth of money, cause most of ppl know staking works only in flat mode with 1 wallet instead multiwallet
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Verge coin on: October 19, 2020, 05:02:47 AM
back in the day of this creation dogecoindark aka verge, i mined it so much and sell it instead at very low price

before rebranding this coin worth around 1 satoshi, the bottom of the sea  Grin, i got pm from guy telling me about rebranding and make this coin to the moon and beyond

sadly i ignore it  Cry, ahhh that random guy i should listen to him, atleast check the thread  Huh
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: B250 Mining Expert No Display on: October 19, 2020, 04:44:02 AM
Ive tried resetting the cmos, ive booted the computer without the battery, removed it, everything, its definitely been reset, even tried different cmos batteries.

Ive tried with amd and nvidia cards directly in the x16 slot and the hdmi in the card doesnt work or the hdmi in the mobo also doesnt work.

Tried with different monitor and hdmi.

Tried with a different ram stick, ddr4 2400 from my rig using a h110 mobo. still didnt boot with that ram. tried it with both sticks in multi configs, still nothing.

Tried a different PSU with only power cables, ram, cpu and display and still nothing.

I feel ive tried everything.

Ive tried reseating the ram plenty of times too, literally everything.

P.S. The board is new from Newegg and the CPU is used but it came from a minidesk that works when i put the cpu back into the minidesk and fire that up it works fine so the cpu is working.
try with hdmi to vga adapter, i think the most stable output for mining is using vga output, but this MB doesnt come with it

and try using lowes ram speed, or using some gpus that have vga out. if no display again definetly rma is the only way

just advice gigabyte fintech 250 the most stable dedicated motherboard i ever used it,the output is vga & dvi, no hdmi output, its same price with asus
