781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Posting/Sharing gambling related topics & news in facebook on: September 06, 2017, 11:38:34 PM
Hi, are you guys afraid of posting or sharing gambling related topics & news in your personal facebook ?

is it because afraid of siblings, parents or girlfriend noticed it ?

or dont wanna let your workmate, colleagues know that you addicted to gambling ?
- Yes its always adviced to not share what you will win in gambling in your social accounts because your local authority might knock at your door for either tax invasion or to arrest you if gambling is illegal in your country. You might know how anything can go viral overnight in social media.

- That can also be secondary reason...

- What others things about me doesn't matter much for me...

That is true, but I don't think just because you won like $100 that they will do so. Maybe if you won something like $1,000,000 and it was the talk of the town that you won that much then you'll likely generate heat towards you. I mean, winning even probably $10,000 wouldn't bring too much attention to what you are saying to the point the tax man knocks on your door because of it.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling? on: September 06, 2017, 11:23:57 PM
For me, no. If you are someone that is losing time for anything because of gambling, then that means you have a serious problem and you should consider getting help. Normally I lose time for work and school and family because of one another. Nothing else really. I think if you preoccupy yourself in other things, you can avoid gambling all through out.
783  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 10 Online Casino with review on: September 06, 2017, 04:27:56 PM
Casinos which I have tried personally and can say that they can be trusted with blind eyes ;

crypto-games.net
yolodice
rollin.io
fortunejack.com
primedice
bustabit

I have played in all of the above casinos without any single issue.

I agree with this, however rollin.io seems to be under fire right now since they are selling their casino. Not sure if there is any basis to it yet, maybe if there would be an official scam accusation before we can say to just avoid it entirely.

I would like to add some sports books though, like

nitrogen
betfair
bet365 (they have btc gambling)
5dime (same with bet365)
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gamblers here who are in Debt ? on: September 05, 2017, 04:53:54 PM
Whenever i remember my bad times i remember those peoples also who lost their everything in this gambling addiction. i want to know what you think about such peoples and how they need to survive after so much losses in their life.
I personally knows some people who are in big debt and they even cant recover that debt and tries to commit suicide every time . so guys can you tell me whats the best solution for them regain their happiness in their life ?

This thread is only for those peoples opinion who faced such situations and recovered or atleast know how to tackle such situations in easy way ( btw i know its not easy )

It is a sad predicament he is in, but nothing really we can do about his money debts. If there would be good people that could try and pay off his debts then that is the best thing for him. However, the root of the problem has not been solved. The problem here is that he is an addicted gambler and he does not even want to work to pay off his debts then we cannot do anything about him.
785  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for moneypot dice game platform/s where to play! on: September 05, 2017, 04:00:09 PM
hello, Im searching moneypot dice sites where to play - where:

               - bets are fast! even with minbet 1 satoshi!
               - if speed increases when betsize increases its very big +++
               - minimal/maximum win percentage are 1%/more than 97%+
               - ofc house edge is not more than 1%
               - and ofc dicebot need to support it.

looking for something like bit-exo(3-4bets per second), betterbets(2.5bets per scond), where 1satoshi betsize speed is more than two bets in one second. (probable with standart scripts where is more than 3-4bets per second)

please don't post your personal/small sites with less than 1 year uptime.

anyone can advise some good site, with that kind of criteries?

Why does it have to be a moneypot  gambling site? There are plenty of gambling site that is way better than any on moneypot.
Just try yolodice, if you get a VPS which is located in ireland or if you are there already, you can bet 40 bets/second! If that isn't fast enough I don't know
what fast means!

 - Why does it have to be a moneypot  gambling site? -

after few month when i will get bankroll to play with basebet 10satoshi then ofc i will go to YOLO. but now i can't play so high basebets, and need to find site where 1-9satoshi bets are fast till get faster to the YOLOdice. and i dont wanna cashout my bankroll from moneypot to go somewhere else and pay 1/30 of my bankroll in fees, AND no one site will be faster bets than bit-exo with 1satoshi basebet what is now my primary main site.

simple i need to find more sites, for that i can play more than one at time. i better will play 4 sites with 1satoshi basebet, when 1 site, with 4satoshi basebet! (like sample)

if you know how i can make bets with 0.00000001 basebet with some kind of VPN on YOLO more than 5bets/sec(then i will immediately leave bit-exo), tell me more about that.

The reason why you will not find a lot of these gambling sites is because operating a server costs a lot of money. The more people using super fast betting speeds will mean it will cost more to run the servers since you need a bigger and better server to handle all the requests. If you are just betting 1 sat per bet, for sure it is not something the gambling sites want because they will not profit from you so much money. That is why yolodice has a minimum 10 sats per bet to get the max speed.
786  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to start? on: September 03, 2017, 11:56:21 PM
one thing that you should do is find many knowledge or information about the bitcoin. Because it is the primary capital for you to do all the things that are profitable, one of which is an investment in ICO and also follow a signature campaign or any other. But all of that can only be done if indeed we have a good knowledge, if not then there will be obstacles and problems are approached
Exactly. If you need to climb up the stairs, you need to start by placing your foot on the first stair. Same is the case, you need to learn the very basics about Bitcoin first. Only then you can become the master of this Field. You cannot expect to earn even a single penny if you don’t know what exactly Bitcoin is. Keep on learning the new things which you are unaware of.
yes that is right if we want to become succeeded we need to use have some good planning and strategy and should never try to use shortcut. but I think that those people who used short cuts they have even lost their own money instead of making more.

What the hell did you just say here? I am surprised that Yahoo even took you in that signature campaign. Are you sure you were accepted?

After deciphering your sentence here. What you meant was that we need to work hard using good planning and strategy and we should never use shortcuts. And it is possible to even lose money when you do shortcut. That took awhile. :/

Can you please download grammarly? Even the free one will work wonders for you.
787  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BITCOIN EXCHANGES on: September 03, 2017, 11:32:37 PM
Unless you know what you are doing, I would advise you to just forget about it. There are so many exchanges already and the market for them isn't really that big. Also, another point is that it will cost a lot of money to make. It might probably cost a million dollars to make a decent one. Also, if you just plan on using free software, good luck with hackers.
788  Economy / Economics / Re: If You Hate Poverty, You Should Love Capitalism on: September 03, 2017, 09:29:29 AM
This is a decent youtube clip emphasizing positive aspects of capitalism.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n6ivGgb9RY

More fuel for the discussion on capitalism fire.

The main point alleged here is: "world poverty has fallen by 80% since 1970".

They claim capitalism is the main driving force behind reduced levels of poverty over the past 5 or so decades, which in turn implies capitalism creates elevated living standards.

Not sure, but I think world poverty is still high and we cannot say that capitalism has done something to solve the problem. I think the problem always has always been greed. Governments spends so much money for warfare which amounts to trillions of dollars a year. But to be honest, world hunger and poverty can already be solved just with a trillion dollars. But what are governments doing?
789  Economy / Economics / Re: Pump and dump is the name of the game. on: September 03, 2017, 09:16:59 AM
Pump and dump is an usual games especially for the big whales, pump and dump is something the traders looking for, that is the moment where they earn money and because crypto currencies is decentralized so pum and dump cant be avoided and if you can find the hole you will get the profit

If you have enough money to pump and dump, why not? There is really good profits to be made if you can manipulate some coins. It's pretty hard to do though, as this is totally something hard to predict, as you will not know how the market will react to the stimulation from the pump and dump of whales. They might lose a lot if they make a mistake.
790  Economy / Economics / Re: How to invest in bitcoin? on: September 03, 2017, 09:05:28 AM
Investing in bitcoins means buying it and waiting for the prices to go up. That is basically what you need to do here. But I think the right time to buy is the difficult part. What if you bought, for example, at $5,000 each and that was the peak that happened a few days ago. If that happens though, the best thing to do is just wait for it to go back up.
791  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why transactions takes so long? on: September 03, 2017, 04:16:02 AM
I don't know much about how BTC or ETH works, but why all cryptocurrencies takes so long to confirm a transaction. I think even 30s is too long, why cant it be instant like PayPal?

It was delayed before SegWit, today it is already solved. Enjoy! Roll Eyes
Not completely solved but yes segwit did a lot good. Before segwit even with high fees like 300-400 sat/byte transactions were taking more than 20-25mins to get confirmed at few instances but now even a small fee is getting them confirmed in 5-10 mins. That's some progress I guess.

I guess segwit did something good. It seems all transactions are going in smoothly and fairly quickly. Though the problem now is solve, this might not be the case in the future. Maybe bitcoin unlimited would be the next solution, who knows. If bitcoins does get a lot more popular bitcoin code must really adopt, it should be scaleable.
792  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to start? on: September 02, 2017, 07:56:53 PM
So I've been off for months. I'm a member since April 2016. But i started trading, collecting in faucets, joining HYIPs and mining sites like (hashocean, hashflare etc), gambling, and doing captcha since December 2015. At the time i got my first $200 in bitcoin, i stopped.

Now im back. I've spent my whole day in Services section today(im new to it), But i got nothing not a single satoshi. Please help me start in this section.

The first you have to do is to find in yourself what you can offer. Do you know how to code, do graphics arts, or any other service that would be valuable to the community? If so then that would be your tools for the trade. Just offer your service and work for your money.

Stop doing hyips and faucets, btw. That's a waste of time and effort.
793  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: September 02, 2017, 03:18:44 PM
I think 60 percent of people own bitcoin by 2020, many people already investing in bitcoin. Because many people use internet and own computer so that people started invest and convince to use bitcoin.

I agree that we might see exponential growth in the user base within next 3 years but still, 60% of world's population is a too much extreme prediction. A person using a computer might not use Bitcoin for some reasons so the number of computer/internet users should not be the main criteria to determine the prediction of Bitcoin's growth. I doubt if we really have 60% of the world's population using the internet.

Yeah i think so too. It needs to be a little bit more conservative because 2020 is just 3 years from now. I don't even think a quarter of the population would have owned btc then. The rate of btc usage is consistently rising but i don't think 3 years is long enough to see everyone owning btc

I agree with that. It isn't that far away and the growth rate of new users isn't that significant too. By 2020, I don't think it will even double what we have now. I think it would be safe to say that it will still not be significant enough to be a force to be reckoned with that would force all governments around the world to do something about it.
794  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What happened ? on: September 02, 2017, 02:57:20 PM
Why does the whole criptomarket fall?  Huh go mass correction.

Maybe you should move this to the enomics section or the speculation section. This isn't the proper place to ask this.

Regarding your question, it is indeed a market correction. But I think it's temporary. Sometimes there is a whale that cashes out a big chunk of btc and that brings down the price and then panic ensues. Now the whale has the chance to buy cheap coins.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a problem gambler? on: September 01, 2017, 11:34:23 AM
I do not have problems with gambling, I set myself a limit that I can afford to lose painlessly and enjoy the game. I believe that you do not need to expect guaranteed profit from this and there will be no dependence.

This is what we can call a responsible gambler. Every gambler should really do this. Gamble only what you can afford to lose and do not expect to profit from gambling. Most of the time people that gamble money they can't afford to lose becomes miserable after they gamble. Then people that think they can profit from gambling end up bankrupt by the end of the day, because they keep on chasing losses and telling themselves it is part of the profiting process.

I don't post it there not because I am afraid my siblings, parents, or girlfriend will notice, this is because, to be honest, they already know. What's to hide right? The reason why I don't post it on my facebook is because I do not see any purpose in doing so or any benefit for me that will be acquired. So why post? I only use my facebook for personal reasons and not really for anything else.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 'Game of Skill': US Markets Tech Provider Launches Bitcoin Betting Game on: September 01, 2017, 11:25:39 AM
I'd be extremely surprised if people flock to them after knowing they lose 10% of the pot just for commissions. I've seen plenty of 5% cuts but none this big. Pretty absurd for what is essentially an escrow service. Take out transaction fees and you probably end up playing for about 88% of the pot.

If only there was a way for people to conduct the same concept of PvP "games of skill" with crypto, using smart contracts and trustless escrow systems to get close to 100% (minus tx fees) of the pot... Hmm... Roll Eyes

I agree. The chances of one winning is a lot lower in this game and the multiplier is not that big. The rule in gambling with regard returns and the risk, it should be proportionate. That means that the higher your risk the higher should be the returns. But if that is not the case then this means that playing here is just a waste of time.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On Which device do you Gamble? on: September 01, 2017, 11:19:21 AM
I prefer to play on the computer, because there is a large screen and everything is clearly visible. When I'm on the road, I use a mobile phone to play on the sites that support it.
I agree, playing on a computer desktop is quite nice since the layout of the gambling site is showing up how it was intended to be. Playing on mobile most of the time has a lot of issues because the gambling site does fit in the screen to well. Then sometimes the gambling site's buttons and features don't work very well on the mobile version.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sports/Events Do You Want Featured in Our Contests? on: September 01, 2017, 11:13:37 AM
Most of the time whenever I bet, well generally I don't bet as much as I did before, I only see promotions for the NFL games. I don't see any for other sports
like boxing, basketball and e-games. Saw some of them here on the forum, but I prefer something that can be seen on the site itself. Not sure if you had promotions
for the sports I mentioned, like I said, I am basing my experience from me betting on the site back then.

Another great point. Yes, we try to scatter all contests of all sports to all channels (not only for BTC Talk but for Facebook and Twitter, among others). But yes point taken that a promo on the site itself (similar to NFL Survivor Pool) is something we should consider in the near future. Thank you!

Yeah, I think since I started gambling on Nitrogen, the NFL survivor pool has been on the site for quite a long time. I've never seen anything else but that one. I do hope Nitrogen would be able to do something like the NFL survivor pool but for other sports like basketball and e-sports and all other sports people like to see.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite game (gambling) on: September 01, 2017, 11:07:20 AM
My favorite games of chance include poker, blackjack, baccarat and craps. I like the occasional jackpot too.

What's jackpot though? I would say that your games are mostly table games in the fiat only real casinos.
For me, I don't understand baccarat and craps too much so I just stick with blackjack, dice and poker. I don't like
complex games to be honest.
