7841  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk App for Iphone! on: May 26, 2018, 09:53:17 PM
I agree. Signing up in a unofficial bitcointalk forum API would be very dangerous if your account is worth a bunch of money!
Is there a topic where people talk about an eventual mobile app??
There was already many topics about Bitcointalk app in past, you can check one of these:

7842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: May 26, 2018, 09:21:19 PM
Hard to find words about this final. Real Madrid won Champions league 4th time in last 5 years. Liverpool started match very solid, but then Salah got injured, it's likely that he will miss upcoming World Cup. And Real started to dominate. But it wasn't enough. Then Karius made one of the stupidiest mistakes I ever saw. When Liverpool scored their goal, Zidane made important decision to release Bale. He scored one of the best goal in Champions league finals history. And finally, another terrible mistake by Karius. He killed his own team. It's hard to imagine how he feels now. But honestly, goalkeepers always been weakest position of Liverpool in recent years, they didn't had decent goalkeeper for so long.
7843  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin in faucets on: May 25, 2018, 10:48:03 AM
just have the following in mind:

you are wasting your electricity

You are spending your internet (your Mb)

you are wasting your time

So you really think that this somehow pays off? ok you can tell me that there are people who watch movies online, others watch porn, others play online and are spending the same thing, but at least they are somehow having fun while the faucets are tiring and you run the risk of not receiving your payment.
Wasting electricity. That's correct. But faucet earnings can cover electricity costs at least. And if I wouldn't use faucets my PC still would be turned in and it would use electricity. I would have fun time watching videos, playing games, but it would be just a waste of time.
Spending internet. Well, I think that mostly people have unlimited internet plans and they don't need to worry how many Mb they spend.
Waste of time? Maybe yes, there are many more effective ways to earn money. But for newbies faucets can be a good choice. Risk that they wont get paid is minimal. It's less risky than to join unclear bounties and airdrops.

Please read this thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0
Here you will find everything that you need to know about forum ranks - activity, merits and similar stuff.
Since you are new here I would also recommend to read pinned topics on Beginners & help board.
7845  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk App for Iphone! on: May 24, 2018, 11:19:40 PM
I use Bitcointalk probably 90% of time on mobile and I don't need for an app. Bitcointalk works well on my old smartphone. Well, maybe app would be useful, such thing like notifications would be really needed. In general, Bitcointalk forum is outdated and nobody are going to create app for it. In future new forum software will be released (no idea when exactly) and it will be more mobile friendly.
For now I would just suggest to avoid unofficial apps of Bitcointalk if you don't want to lose your account.
7846  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What are the best satoshi faucets available? on: May 24, 2018, 11:09:42 PM
I recommend to check my website:
http://www.bitcoins4free.ml/bitcoin-faucets/
On this link you can find several bitcoin faucets which are best in my opinion. You wont earn much from faucet, but at least you can be sure that you will get paid. Others are suggesting airdrops, but there are so many scams in this sphere, this is why I prefer faucets.
7847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup and Premier League Predictor Football Pool on: May 24, 2018, 10:45:08 PM
I would also be interested in running a pool where you predict the correct scores of each game like on the BBC Premier League Predictor but can't find a website that will do that so far. If anyone knows of one please let me know.

How about official FIFA World Cup match score predictor?

7848  Other / Meta / Re: Feature of ICO Ranking on Bitcointalk on: May 24, 2018, 10:39:06 AM
First of all, it's Bitcoin forum, why we would need to have ICO rankings here?
Ok, you are offering voting system where members of Bitcointalk would be able to rate ICO's. But it wouldn't be true rating. Now we have so called ICO bumping services, then ICO voting services would appear. ICO's would hire these services to have better rating abd paid shills just would vote for.
7849  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: May 23, 2018, 11:26:52 PM
This is glynbueso from Bitcointalk.org and today is 23 May 2018. I am securing my address for future references: 13WXoFPhnvsTdLpQgKqDJrTYw5P1APW9CB

Thanks.

Quoting the bitcoin address only since you forgot to add the corresponding signature.

Oh ok, sorry. So is my account secured now? Or do I need to do something more?
No, your account aren't secured yet. You need to post a signed message from this Bitcoin address, just take a look at posts above to get idea what you need to do. If you don't know how to sign a message, check this tutorial:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0
7850  Other / Meta / Re: How many deleted posts, your account getting banned? on: May 23, 2018, 11:22:40 PM
If you follow bitcointalk rules, you shouldn't be worried about ban.
And as others already said, there are no specific number of deleted posts to get a ban. It mainly depends on context. If you will post referral links, phishing links, copied content, stuff like "great project" "to the moon" and something similar continously, you will be banned very soon. If you will post copied text without providing source, you can be banned even after making single post. But if only few of your posts will be deleted, it's not likely that you will be banned.
And it's more common that new users are getting bans. More experienced people already knows what is allowed here and what is not.
7851  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Choose a Token Wallet? on: May 23, 2018, 10:53:39 PM
I'm surprised that you didn't mentioned MyEtherWallet (MEW) which are most popular. Is there are any specific reasons? I use MEW and so far I'm happy with it and I haven't looked for alternatives so far.
I tried Jaxx in past but if I remember correctly they supported very limited number of ERC20 tokens. Maybe situation had changed now. And in past Jaxx had security vulnerability, so it's not recommend for bigger amounts of money.
7852  Other / Meta / Re: Original account hacked - help restore on: May 23, 2018, 10:12:08 AM
Up
Have some patience my friend, bumping the thread won't expedite the process ....

Just as KWH said recovery could take as long as a couple of months , so just hang in there and hope for the best outcome.
Bumping the thread can help, maybe theymos or Cyrus will notice it.
But I'm afraid that it's not likely that you will get your account back. In past I said that admins may accept signed message from ETH address if you don't have staked BTC address. But later one staff member said that admins accept only accept signed messages from BTC address or PGP key.
7853  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If I was to offer you on: May 22, 2018, 11:17:42 PM
Ok, users above posted some good thoughts. I would only ask, what do you mean by saying "numbered accounts"? Could you elaborate?
SWIFT? How about SEPA for European users?
And if you will start fiat/crypto bank, you would need to offer Debit Cards. Currently there aren't many crypto debit cards in market. And these which are still working are expensive or have various restrictions. It would be great to have an alternative.
7854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup and Premier League Predictor Football Pool on: May 22, 2018, 10:48:32 PM
I would like to join FIFA World Cup and Premier League predictor.
For Premier League, is it possible to confirm if I can participate later, maybe after World Cup? I want to join it (the small $25 one and maybe the big one too) but maybe not to pay so soon. It depends on what happens after the world Cup. I wanted to join earlier but it is maybe better to start fresh so this is good. Thank you.
I think it will be possible to join Premier League predictor later, because there will be almost 1 month between end of World Cup and start of Premier League season.
7855  Other / Meta / Re: Staked address question on: May 22, 2018, 10:40:04 PM
Well, it is an indicator (language switch and low quality posts) but look at my thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3761515 nobody wants to tag them all, why? It is tolerated that member could post low quality but Hero canīt?
As few person on your thread said, there aren't sufficient information which would prove that these accounts were bought or they are alts.
Low quality posts aren't tolerated for all ranks. But spammers aren't getting red trust ratings. They just wont get Merit and will never rank up, if their posts extremely low quality - it will be deleted by mods.
I would like to stake my ETH address because I donīt have BTC, is that possible? I think that ethereum could sign message too or?
It's possible, but there are no reasons to stake ETH address. If your account will be hacked and you will want to recover it - only Bitcoin signed messages are accepted by admins.
So, I would recommend to create Bitcoin wallet (even if you don't BTC currently) and then try to stake your Bitcoin address with signed message. If you don't know how to do it, here is tutorial:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0
7856  Other / Meta / Re: Staked address question on: May 22, 2018, 10:06:07 AM
Interesting. Thank you for the explanation.
And how are the hacked accounts discovered? Only administrators can view the IP change or? Because I posted in my second thread probably hacked/bought accounts - swicth language, time gap and still they arenīt tagged, how DT moderators evaluate what is hacked/bought and what is not?
apoorvlathey gave you good answers. I will only add few things. Only theymos can check IP addresses, but it's bad indicator. People are using Proxies, TOR, VPN, dynamic IP addresses, so it's proof that account was sold/hacked when IP address change.
Language is one of indicators. If account owner posted only in English and then immediately starts to post in Russian for example, it's likely that account was bought/hacked.
And if high ranked user with good history of posts start to make low quality posts - it's another sign of bought/hacked account.
7857  Other / Meta / Re: Staked address question on: May 21, 2018, 11:37:09 PM
But I donīt think that Hero and Legendary members are so stupid to have such simple passwords, or?

I don't think that many users who got account hacked used simple passwords. The problem that many people are using same passwords pretty much everywhere. And if one website get hacked or sell login data of their users, hacker just need to try enter same login data on bitcointalk and voila
And another reason why there are so many hacked accounts - phishing website
7858  Other / Meta / Re: something phishing with my acc, need help please on: May 21, 2018, 11:24:23 PM
I also noticed strange thing week or two ago. I used Google to find threads of several bitcoin advertising networks on bitcointalk. I opened links of several networks threads, but these links lead to different threads (if I'm not mistaken I was redirected to other threads on the same board and I don't know why). And I'm 100% it wasn't phishing links. And I had this problem only on Firefox browser, when I tried to open same threads using Opera, everything was fine.
7859  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 24-Apr-2018] on: May 21, 2018, 11:08:04 PM
I’m a newbie. How does one go about these campaigns and receive payment? I just join bitcointalk. I need some guides and help. Thanks
I recommend to read signature campaign guidelines by hilariousandco:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0
As you see, Bitcoin paying campaigns aren't accepting Newbies and Jr. Members. But you will be able to join some bounties when you will reach Jr. Member rank.
7860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Country backed coins, a good idea? on: May 21, 2018, 10:27:18 AM
I agree with mostly people here who are sceptical about country backed coins. Why we would need centralized crypto? Governments would have full control of it and I wouldn't be surprised if they would try to make manipulations of price. I think that such coins just would be not worth to invest. And not so many countries are currently interested to release their own cryptocurrencies.
