7881  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY btc.com Bitcoinist. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: May 15, 2015, 09:55:19 PM
snip

Now he has switched from the other blatant Paycoin scams in his sig to another not yet obvious to everyone Paycoin scam, BTClend. The BTClend business model has no method to create profit, it IS therefore a scam. The purpose of that scam is to keep XPY bagholders' coins locked up and off the market to allow continued dumping of premine and hyperstake, and the depositors are paid "stake" with hyperstaked coins from "rented" Prime Inflators (not enough) or directly from the pre-mine which he has access to through Cmilians partner, Homero Garza.

Not saying it's not a scam (it was planned by gaw as the leaked emails show, so the priors are very strong on that one for it to be a scam somehow), but how can you say there's no method to create profit? They charge fees on the loans, how is that not a business model that can create profit?

Seriously, you're going to do this AGAIN, just one day later?  Huh  You need a life, stop nitpicking at nothingness man, jeez...  Roll Eyes

Edit - Or do you want to be back on everyone's ignore list like before? Think about it, Paul has explained this scam before at least once. (I don't personally care or recall, so now i'm done). Wink

7883  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: May 15, 2015, 02:03:54 AM
Amazingly enough, my posts in this thread about the latest shenanigans being pulled are actually being linked to on HT:

https://hashtalk.ch/topic/37697/what-is-all-this-staking-and-look-at-the-inflation-now Archive: https://archive.is/CZqvC

I have a tonne of respect for your hard work here & for keeping us informed.

Thank you, I appreciate that compliment. The interesting part is that I am nowhere near being an expert at looking at Blockchain transactions. I simply followed what Vancefox was doing (He was the first to confirm Premine being sent to exchanges) and taught myself what to follow and started figuring out what was going on. But, the deal with Paycoin is that darned near ALL of the transactions on the Blockchain trace back to the same source, so no matter where you look, you find these obvious coin shuffles and deposits to exchanges. If you follow any transaction on the Blockchain darned near all of them lead back to the same source. My honest guess is that at least 90% of the total transaction volume on the Paycoin Blockchain is coin mixing of coins form Premine or Prime Inflator coins being mixed, and has been since the beginning. I am amazed that none of the people who invested so much in Paycoin have tried to do this investigative work, it is not all that complicated, although rather time consuming.

Well that would match up to all the money laundering charges all these bozos will rack up then, eh?

I'm kinda on the sidelines. It's so convoluted. There is no longer any concise story as to wtf is actually going on other than scammers making free $ because.... they can.  Huh

7885  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cheap VPS provider that accept Bitcoin on: May 13, 2015, 02:51:20 PM
There is CryptoVPN, they take bitcoin. They are running a signature program on his forum now.
Not sure about prices though.

Edit: Looks like the sig campaign has closed but here is a link to the site.
http://cryptovpn.me/

CryptoVPN is a virtual private network. Not a virtual private space.

time4vps and vps ace, also bluevm

here all those that i used and i have a backup list too

Thanks for the list, will be checking it. Which one do you recommend and why do you order so many from diffrent company?

Anyone used CoinsHost? I see that they have similar plan to ChunkHost at lower price.

time4vps is the cheapest, it should still work

i needed all those vps because of cointellect  Grin(actually as i said i have another list like that with others 10 different vps), explaining now everything would require a long post

I am trying out Bluevm at the moment. Pretty straightforward, multiple choices of OS etc...
7886  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Checkout the latest BTCLend feature available now! on: May 13, 2015, 01:47:29 PM
Where can I find the real life identities of the people who will be in charge of my coins?

This looks like a ponzi in a tuxedo.

At the very bottom of the website https://btclend.org under "Whats our mission"

If it's not obvious what is being done with the deposited coins to perform "staking" I can explain in further detail.

Thanks.

7889  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor. where are the Private keys stored ? on: May 13, 2015, 12:59:40 PM
ooh, i just use my recovery seed with a wallet which supports the seeds i guess ?

I had a problem where this is not the case at all, but perhaps it was because my trezor had been updated a few times with new FW while it had active balance(?).

Anyhow, I had about 9 HD accounts, lost my Trezor device, so tried:

1. Recovering with Electrum using 24-word seed.  Result: All 9 accounts showed in Electrum, however, I could not send any of the BTC - it kept asking me to plug in my Trezor, which is gone. (FAIL).
2. Recovering with MultiBitHD using 24-word seed. Result: Only HD Account #2 showed up in GUI, the acccount with least BTC of course. Rest of the HD accounts showed, but all with zero balances (Yes I let it fullly sync). (FAIL)
3. New install of Mycelium on Android using 24-word seed. Result: Only HD Account 1 was available (FAIL).

So - Luckily, after physically FINDING my Trezor (THANK GOD)!, I was able to move the BTC to a temp wallet on Mycelium, wipe the trezor, now I just use one HD account the trezor (Account 1), and hope my new seed is recoverable if this happens again - it was a somewhat sleepless night to be honest. I may buy a spare Trezor now, I love it, but that was ridiculous, I could not recover all my HD accounts no matter what I tried , on multiple PC's. Sad

I tried windows 8 again to see if it got any better......no it hasn't what a pile of rubbish its so bad

It's not too bad if you add a start button to it with one of the numerous pieces of third party software designed to restore it.

I tried windows 10 tech preview, seems to fix many issues, hell of a lot better than 8 anyhow.

"We need to believe in Josh" - Hashtalk user Lewiscooper once again proves his enormous stupidity. Someone should give him a medal or a crown. To me he is king of the hashtards.

https://hashtalk.ch/topic/37646/we-need-to-believe-in-josh

Google Search the Pic of Lewiscooper. With the Homerisms in the grammar, it is a sock puppet of CEOPIG.

I don't think lewiscooper is a Garza sockpuppet. He seems to be from the UK, his spelling and grammar mistakes are different, and he used to as a lot of questions about the value of paycoin when the price dropped last month.

Also hilarious: Mr. Badbitcoin Colonel32 jumps in to defend Josh.

And of course Badbitcoin did not lose loose any money yet! Grin

2 weeks ago he wasn't so happy with Homero, but seems ok with "loosing" £15000  Huh

@lewiscooper

josh done this to us wish I was still mining btc with my primes and zen hash but nope got worthless pay coins and like £15000 down the drain

7895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: May 12, 2015, 04:50:34 PM
Need some assistance. Had a computer issue (PC Windows). I had 2 hard drives, the main 'C' drive which has the bitmonero blockchain downloaded and the 'D' drive which had the bitmoneroD and Simplewallet exe files.

My main C drive died on me, I replaced the drive last night, reinstalled windows, then created a folder - %appdata%/bitmonero , i downloaded the most recent blockchain from OP. However, I still can't connect via bitmonerod. I'm getting "Failed to connect to any seed peers, continuing without any seeds" error.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Yes, see this:

https://forum.getmonero.org/5/support/251/can-t-synchronize-daemon-no-nodes-alive-in-the-network?page=&noscroll=1

I had the same problem. Googling around you can find more peers if those two don't work any more.

josh@btc.com - Result: Bad

mate@btc.com - Result: Ok

So let me see if I can figure this out. Some "entrepreneur" in Hungary acquired a million dollar domain? Or did Garza give it up as part of the failed Bicoinist deal? Or is Mate Tokay the Russian Mafia?

I'm confused more than ever now.

That Mate guy is from bitcoinist.net  - http://bitcoinist.net/team-manager/mate-tokay/

There are leaked emails between Homero and Mate here detailing the failed acquisition.

Yes, not much help, sorry.  Huh

I actually like Pexpeppers...or their sauce anyway Smiley muy pikante!
How active have you actually been in the Paycoin "economy"? You've clearly bough this sauce using Paycoin. Earlier you promised Josh a review of Coinstand in exchange for an invite (aka getting bribed with free stuff). You're what passes for a "journalist" in the cryptocurrency world, and it's a damn tragedy.

Ouch!

I bought some Pex Peppers sauce too.  I liked the green taco sauce.  The rest was nasty and way too hot.

The problem I have with buying from someone like Pex Peppers is all he did was dump paycoins by using a alt coin transaction company that dumps them on the market right after he sold anything.  He was just there to make a buck off of everyone and seem like he was doing the community a favor.  I did like the fact that he was selling a real product that I mostly liked.

The already broke community bought him a very expensive machine recently too, and he just leaves....

I don't understand how he quits & comes back every other week.

Pex seems to play both sides of the fence. He has quite a loyal following here afaict.

Clearly everybody in crypto is either a millionaire or best friends with a millionaire.

OR really fucking high.
Reminds me of when they had the old hangouts on whatever that website was, back in the prime of the fraud, with marauder. Several people were toking up hardcore on cam hahaha.

His name was maursader, lol, not marauder.

This retard? https://twitter.com/maursader
