Blame it on the forum software. Nothing else can be done other than the "Insert Quote" option. In fact the quote system is made to help people reply to multiple posts above them in a thread. So it serves its purpose if you just insert the text (quoted) and the snip the unnecessary portions.

I have had problems when I was new to the forum in properly making all the quotes end at the perfect lines. Takes a bit of practice to make sure you dont miss out any "open" [ quote] tags and then the entire post looks like a noobies post.

Trading is not like gambling though and in my opinion its more profitable if you know which coins to buy and which ones to sell. You know the biggest traders of the stock market like Warren Buffet did not have much of an education. Then again these people are gifted and not everyone is like them. Being educated will help the person make educated guesses as to where the market is going - this does not come at high price. All you need to do is to watch the market movement (preferably at coinmarketcap) for a few months. Then understand how FUD effects the market and the price of coins.

Once you have an idea start trading with small capitals and watch as you make mistake and profits. Modify your methods gradually and you will gain your own trading style.

Not everyone has planned from the start. The new people who start trading without the knowledge of market spread wont be able to decide on what price to set buy or sell orders. They will end up buying high and selling low - leading to a huge loss and then they will go to their friends and say "Trading is usless and exchanges are scam."

We all fail to notice our own mistakes. Its true that mistakes happen but then you must rectify it and learn from them not to repeat them.

Every user getting merited every month will mean the same thing that used to happen to the forum before merit was introduced. Ranking up based on post count and thus people used to spam to get ranked up. You idea is so dumb that it denies the existence and objective of the merit system altogether.

Crypto development is not something to comment on at any stage of you are not a developer yourself. There is always the scope of changing the economy be it on a small scale or a large scale, but mostly small in crypto. The adoption of crypto will probably never be extensive in the mainstream. Thus it is profitable but comparing it to the economy of fiat is a bit long shot. After all to buy your daily bread you need fiat - crypto cover is not that high.

Let me get this straight without ranting over and over. Having multiple accounts on the forum is allowed. You might have to pay some fee if you sign up under same IP address.

However abusing bounties and campaigns with alt accounts will get you a negative trust from DT. Again if you have alt accounts and then escrow deals between them and try to get trust rating up - eventually when you get caught you will be given negative trust for trust farming.

Many people on the forum have alt accounts - but they dont use them to abuse bounties or self escrows - in which case they would be negged.

Being educated and being experienced about trading is not the same thing. If the education is on trading then it can be compared. Most people here are hobbyist traders and very few people are professional traders - they dont hang around in such forum rather drive lambos.

The more important thing is knowing the basics of trading and then controlling your emotions properly. If you are not going to panic sell then you are good to go. People who get heart attacks from every spike or drop in price are the ones who actually get frustrated by trading and eventually lose money.

I understand what you are trying to say and let me tell you are not alone. I was once disgusted to see the number of new threads popping up in meta about merit. Now since meta is about discussions related to the forum and merit is a system of the forum - its justified to discuss about it here. Still I had come up with this idea a few months back but it didnt get much of a traction.

Lets Make a new board/section for "Merit Discussion"

The problem is that people who come to this forum think its the place from where they can feed their family with the petty bucks that they get from signature spamming. This "Who does not like free money" attitude is the root cause of spam.

Undoubtedly the one reason why people are being crybabies about merit system.

If you ask me I am also concerned since there the exposure from the merit sources on different boards is different and there needs to be a gradual increase in the number of merit sources. Applications for merit sources has been posted here and still not reviewed by theymos. I hope they get applied soon and we see a decrease in the number of crybaby/asslicking threads on merit in meta.

Being accepted by some manager in a campaign is not that criteria of being a good poster. Many managers have different yardsticks of post quality and overall its a subjective idea and thus varies from person to person. Since you are willing to improve your post quality I will give you some advice.

1. Post only when you feel you are willing to post and dont post to increase post count.
2. The spam mega threads should be avoided. They are worthless to read or comment in nowadays specially the Bitcoin Discussion, Economics and Altcoin Speculation. Bad thing is Trading Discussion is also going to same place.
3. Try to punctuate properly every post and keep them grammatically correct.
