7901  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ Bitvest.io - Plinko Sig. Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) (New2) on: January 04, 2019, 01:00:34 AM
Please play the old Lutpin's campaign by his and lightlord's rules, it is the only fair way. I saw your spreadsheet with additional rounds, but it is NOT how Lutpin had it, you created your own (cheaper for you organizers) way of handling this.
I wouldn't blame Hhampuz for all of this crap, which is what he inherited from lightlord and Lutpin.  Any old beefs with the old campaign that was run by lightlord and managed by Lutpin should be brought to the attention of lightlord and him only.  I don't know what conversations went on between Hhampuz and lightlord before the two new campaigns started, but ultimately lightlord is the final decision maker.

I've changed my neg to neutral on lightlord just out of respect for his past actions, but I'm still wary of what he might do going forward.  That's why I suggested that Hhampuz not risk his reputation by going along with anything questionable from lightlord if such a thing should occur.  Hopefully that won't be the case, and anyway Lutpin played a big role himself in screwing over the previous participants.  Hell, I was a member of the 777Coin campaign myself for a while until I finally got sick of late payments and so forth.  I don't know what happened with Lutpin, because even though payments were sometimes late, he was always fair and participants ultimately did get paid during my time in the campaign.

I think everyone should consider the Bitvest and 777Coin campaigns as a fresh start.  Both are in good hands with Hhampuz IMO.  I have no vested interest in this, by the way.  Somehow I got sucked into the drama when I was asked to tag lightlord and Lutpin, which I did not want to do until it became very apparent to me that a lot of people were getting screwed over.  That's why I keep giving my opinion on things with these campaigns.  I will keep an eye on how things are going, but I'm going to bow out of the drama for now.

Good luck to everyone.
7902  Other / Meta / Re: How to have this? on: January 04, 2019, 12:33:20 AM
Gangs of New York.
You talking about the movie?  I don't recall such a line (obviously without the bitcointalk references), and I've seen the picture about 20 times if not more.  One of my favorites.

I was just letting know that there is not any internal corruption like thing working with VIPs, so that no one should have this wrong view.
I don't think anyone's accused VIP members being corrupt (except for TF).  It's actually good to see some of them still posting after all these years.  Didn't the TF account change hands?  I haven't been following any changes in ownership, but I thought I'd heard that someone bought it, maybe Quickseller--or at least that the current owner isn't the one who pulled off that massive scam.
7903  Economy / Reputation / Re: UPDATED [prison break] Full list of users who lost their DT red trust from Lauda on: January 03, 2019, 11:58:59 PM
I've been distracted by other things and have only just come across this thread. Lauda appears as trusted on my Trust Wall - was (s)he reinstated, or is it I trust someone who trusts them?
It's probably you who's got Lauda on your trust list, because he/she is still not on DT.  Check your trust settings maybe?  See if you've got Lauda written in--you're probably aware of how it works, so I'm not trying to make it appear I'm giving advice to a noob.  I don't know what your trust list looks like, but the only way Lauda is going to show up as trusted is if you've specifically included him/her.

Yeah, but as I wrote in my post, I wasn't straight out accusing him of being QS's alt but wouldn't rule it out, given Quickseller's long-standing feud with Lauda, his use of language and empty threats, and history of using sockpuppet accounts.
7904  Other / Meta / Re: Why do I get banned I didn't do anything wrong? on: January 03, 2019, 11:52:04 PM
if I have done something wrong I wouldn't probably do it again.
That's reassuring as all hell, and I bet this appeal will be successful.  Good luck, bro.
7905  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Anonym1337x on: January 03, 2019, 11:41:45 PM
I removed the tag on Anonym1337x, as he appears to be trying to make good on this but just can't contact the guy.  I haven't been following this thread since my last post and hadn't seen his responses here.  I'm going to uncharacteristically take this Anonym1337x at his word, that people were trying to buy stuff from old threads that hadn't been bumped and weren't active.

If anything changes here, drop me a PM.
7906  Other / Meta / Re: HOW do I get merit? on: January 03, 2019, 02:00:48 PM
Can we do more to ban all the Indian bounty spammers.
<snip>
It’s not rocket surgery. You can spot them a mile away.
I salute your bitchery, sir.  I didn't think most of the spammers came from India, but you might know better since I don't visit the sections you seem to.  I don't think they're bots, either.  I think there are live, drooling idiots with limbs that move but have only brainstem activity behind the keyboards through which those shitposts were written.  It's as if The Walking Dead got fused to bitcointalk somehow.

That second part of your quoted post above made me chuckle.  That's one way to get merit from me.
7907  Other / Meta / Re: My request to unlock " Gromx " account . on: January 03, 2019, 12:59:22 PM
If you think that this humiliation with my hand-the this is not so! It's a simple human request. Neither in real life nor on the forum - I will not be humiliated.
If you don't want to be humiliated, don't start stupid appeal threads that have no chance of succeeding, and, I would remind you, it is your own actions that caused you to get banned.  Accounts like yours are exactly why the merit system was created, accounts that add all noise and no signal.

You don't get to shit all over the forum and then apologize and expect to get a second chance.  Why?  Because your command of English isn't going to magically improve, nor is the quality of your posts.  Sure, you might make them longer, but that doesn't make them better.  Shitposts are actually worse when they're longer.  If you got a second chance, what do you seriously think you're going to do better?  That's a rhetorical question, because you won't get that chance unless a mistake's been made.

Also (not that you're going to need this advice for long), don't quote huge blocks of text unless it's absolutely necessary.

Edit:
Cryptocurrency is most trustable, easy and secure platform of blockchain. All people should invest in Crypto this condition without invest any different stock market.
Cryptocurrency is most trustable, easy and secure platform of blockchain. All people should invest in Crypto this condition without invest any different stock market.
That has got to be one of the most idiotic incidents of plagiarism I've ever seen.  Truly stupid.
7908  Other / Meta / Re: Share! Share !! Share !!! on: January 03, 2019, 12:33:47 PM
I'm not here to beg for one
Yes you are.

newbies on here that did create good topics and haven't received just one merit no matter how hard they try
Give me 3 examples of what you're claiming.  If you can't do that, you're absolutely full of shit and only created this thread to get sympathy merits.  And as mdayonliner said, you really don't understand what the merit system is all about and why it was implemented.  Get your facts straight before you start tapping those keys.
7909  Other / Meta / Re: My request to unlock " Gromx " account . on: January 03, 2019, 12:24:22 PM
I am a regular user of this forum and I come here almost every day.I can not imagine myself without a forum Bitcointalk.
<snip>
I will tell you the truth-I do not plagiarize
To the first part above:  You come here to get paid.  I had a good look at your post history, and it's complete garbage--standard bounty spam post of almost uniform length that are padded and say absolutely nothing useful.

As to the second part, we'll see about whether you plagiarized something.  I suspect it's that, but it'd be nice to see a shitposter get banned just for doing that.  That would be a huge step forward.

Consider my application and make me a gift for the new year - unlock my account.
Stop groveling.  That isn't going to happen, not for you, not for anyone.  You're like someone who gets fired from his job for a good reason and gets on his knees begging his boss not to fire him.  You think that ever works?  Not likely.  And I've never seen it happen on bitcointalk yet.

The gift you were given was the opportunity to make money on the forum and you blew it.

You say you admit your mistakes, so understand that mistakes have consequences that you have to face.  That's life, kiddo.
7910  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by MrGaSp on: January 03, 2019, 09:16:08 AM
I didn't blame you for  anything? The thread i made was public and  there is  other DT members than you, but no one take  action.
You are not forced to take care of all the threads created against people, there is other people who had chance to take action against this guy.
No, you didn't blame me for anything, I didn't say you did.  However, there aren't many other DT members who tag account sellers and bought accounts consistently.  That's been my area for the past couple of years, and lately I've been slacking.  That post was just me berating myself for not seeing it in time, not you for saying you warned everyone--because you did.
7911  Economy / Reputation / Re: 5 suspects Full members accounts on the same signature, Same Owner? on: January 03, 2019, 05:32:17 AM
Lol, can't remember from where I have download it but I'm sure that it was from a guy who told like what you have said.
Double LOL.  That was a pic someone sent me in a PM trying to prove they were a bounty hunting community:

Hello sir,
I'm representing my friends to appeal about our accounts that you give negative trust due to this post.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4650049.0
I wish to inform you that those accounts not belong to a single person, we are making a community to perform bounty campaign.
Does working on bounty campaign with our own individual account against the rules?
About the those wallet that are connected to each other, we used it to safe the fee of transaction.
Some of our team today (the other member are working at home, at the moment):
<snipped out image>
here is our website : http://kidoelkempoel.com/index.html
Please kindly reconsider, and please remove the negative trust on our account.
Thank you.

And then I posted that pic in the Known Alts thread for everyone's pleasure.

So seriously, if you link a whole bunch of accounts via the ETH blockchain (or any one for that matter), they could easily just claim they're just peasants living in a cockroach, crack-smoking shitpost farm and it may well be the truth.  Then they'll tell you that they pool the funds to save on transaction fees or some related reason, but I have a theory that there's some big granddaddy of a pimp who takes a cut for letting them work in the crack house spam farm, and they either get a cot to sleep in or access to a computer and high-speed internet that they wouldn't otherwise have.

But whether it's a dirty bunch of snot monkeys doing this or it's a bunch of alt accounts belonging to one person, I think they should be tagged--because if they give the "we're a community" argument, that could easily be a lie and isn't something that should be taken at face value, just like the "I never did plagarism sir" thing we see time and time again shouldn't be believed.  It's far more likely that a bunch of addresses all linked together=abusing bounties with alt accounts.  And that's how it should read on the negative feedback they get.

Edit:
Could you alter this line. It is pretty racist in context with the photo shown.
Monkey is a slur for a black person, which those folks aren't, they're Inonesian or possibly Filipino, for which there are other racial slurs and what I wrote was not intended to be racist.  If you don't like my words, hit that good 'ol ignore button.  I'm not going to censor myself at the suggestion of anyone who isn't the boss of me.  No offense.
7912  Economy / Reputation / Re: Red trust receivd as non-senses both on: January 03, 2019, 01:44:44 AM
Edit: Just as expected. OP gets the booby prize of additional red trust from DT2 member.  Roll Eyes
Thank you, sir!  May I have another!

Eh, OP was definitely trying to run a Ponzi scheme, just promising a fixed return and keeping the details very vague.  In fact, it isn't even clear to me how he was making the money he described in the first few sentences in the reference link:

I do money online with different products shipping them all around the world. Usually my profit is around 20% of each product. I can say it is safe most of the time as return but there are cases and cases, I am always cautious.
"I do money online with different products shipping them all around the world".  WTF does that even mean?   Are you a fucking drug dealer?  You don't think potential investors ought to be given critical info like that?

Oh, wait.  This was posted in Investor-based Games, where everything is a Ponzi if I'm not mistaken.  But you know what?  Those DT members were correct in their feedback.  Some suckers might actually believe your BS story and give you money, not knowing it's all a "let's pretend this is real" kind of situation.  That's a scam, dude.

Your ass is about to get a little redder in a second.
7913  Economy / Reputation / Re: 5 suspects Full members accounts on the same signature, Same Owner? on: January 03, 2019, 12:01:28 AM
I've quit trying to play ETH blockchain detective and have been misled by people's evidence in the past, based on my own ignorance.  If a trusted member can vouch for the connections you've made, I'll happily tag these guys.

It could very well be possible they're connected and all in the same bounty--but you know exactly what they'll say:  "We're in a team/family, we're all part of the same network", etc., meaning they're on a shitposting farm wearing straw hats and more teeth than words they know in English (though I have not yet looked at their posts; I'm just projecting the outcome based on previous outcomes of situations like this).
7914  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by MrGaSp on: January 02, 2019, 11:30:19 PM
If someone tagged him when i reported him that would never happened ....
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5086244
I posted in that thread that the evidence you provided there wasn't good enough IMO for him to be tagged, and I didn't investigate further.  Had I done so, he would have been tagged, but I'm human with only so many hours in a day to bust account buyers.  In addition, even if I'd tagged him when you made that thread, there's absolutely no guarantee that it would have affected OP's transaction with MrGaSp.

Some members completely ignore trust ratings, and many might just ignore a tag that says the account might be hacked/purchased.  What you're saying is "I told you so".  You might be right, you might be wrong.  In any case, I regret not looking into his history earlier.
7915  Other / Meta / Re: Why i am banned? on: January 02, 2019, 11:16:14 PM
I think we should stop responding in threads like this from here on out.
You're right, in most cases they do know exactly what they did and are just lying.  But sometimes mistakes do get made and people are wrongfully banned.  That's not the norm, but it does happen.

This is why I suggested including in the ban PM one example of the plagiarism offense, which would obviate their need to start threads like this and having members dig up an example for them.  That wouldn't stop the pleas-for-mercy threads, but it sure would help reduce ones like OP started here.

It just wastes people's time having to prove to the plagiarist what they already know to be true, and then after an example is shown, inevitably the next thing they do is try to make excuses or beg for a second chance.  You'll see.  If OP returns to this thread, that's exactly what he's going to do.
7916  Other / Meta / Re: Posting in local boards to improve language skills? on: January 02, 2019, 11:09:09 PM
I would say don't do it here just to practice your language skills, because the results on the German board might come across as what you see every day in the Bitcoin Discussion section, i.e., people trying to communicate in a language that they're not proficient in.

On the other hand, you're not a shitposter so if you actually have something useful to say that would be of interest to the Germans--but that's only if your German is good enough to be understood.  Otherwise they'll have the same problem the native English speakers do, which is having to interpret a post that's poorly written.  It wastes people's time figuring out what someone means when they don't use words properly or their grammar is poor.

I know some French,  but I would never post in that section because it's very rusty.  And I wouldn't want to waste people's time just so that I can practice writing in French.  Bitcointalk isn't for that.
7917  Other / Meta / Re: A different approach to solving the sig spamming problem. on: January 02, 2019, 10:58:09 PM
Nah, we gucci.
Onna strenfth, my brotha.  HBW says hello.

Now I don't think our current system is completely effective, but I don't think Theymos thought it would be.  Small adjustments like the one we had in September are just fine with me.  It would be much worse if he kept changing the system according to all of this advice members are giving--some of which is good, some not.  The wait-and-see approach is prudent, and in the meantime the shitposting situation does seem to have improved somewhat in some sections, while others (like Bitcoin Discussion) are still an unholy manure pile.

The next move should be more signature restrictions on the lower ranks, and I don't think that them paying for the right to advertise is going to be effective as long as their ROI for buying the right to join campaigns is net positive.  Not allowing anyone under Member rank to advertise in their signature might be a good way to go from here.

Jr. Members right now are having a hell of a time making it past that rank because of the merit requirement, and I don't think they could get around that as easily as they do now when moving from Newbie to Jr. Member.  Right now they can buy 1 merit or get it from a friend, or they can buy a copper membership.  That's not high enough of a barrier IMO.
7918  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need a tag red-trust! on: January 02, 2019, 04:08:40 AM
I think marlboroza and LoyceV (if I'm not mistaken) went over Lauda's tags and re-tagged the ones they agreed with.  There may have been some that they didn't think were warranted--and that's completely expected.  If and when I get booted of DT, I doubt that if anyone bothered to replace the red trusts I've left that they'd even re-tag 75% of them.  Everyone's got their own opinion and you have to stand by the trust you leave, and stake your reputation on it.

Don't know if the above members ever finished reviewing Lauda's tagging or not, though.  I haven't kept up with it.
7919  Other / Meta / Re: HOW do I get merit? on: January 01, 2019, 11:36:02 PM
Literally everyone is noided as fuck on this website. Don’t post for a few months and you get accused of purchasing your account.
Just FYI, I have doubts about it which is why I didn't give you a neg.

How is it you've been here this long and just discovered the merit system?  Do you have Meta on ignore?

And even if you did, there's been so much talk about it all over the forum that it would be extremely hard to remain ignorant about it for almost a year now.  Do you have an explanation for how you missed one of the biggest changes on bitcointalk ever?  I mean seriously, what you wrote in the OP sounds exactly like what someone who just bought an older account would say.
7920  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by MrGaSp on: January 01, 2019, 11:26:50 PM
The MrGaSp account has obviously been sold or hacked.  His posts in 2012 looked like this (and notice he says his business servers are located in Oregon, which is in the US:

If you every decide to offer windows in the future let me know (PM) I'll gladly buy.

Keep your eyes out for a new service called VPS Squared, in a few years.  Probably make an official company, Dedicated IPs, Control panels, and all that good stuff.  Either way, I will start up a VPS service again.  Maybe even offer Co-Location...I like the idea of it, but I like having the server near by, So I'll be likely hosting my own network, so why not offer Co-Location to others that wont charge 100+/h for technician hands..
Will I still get that 10% off for that 5 BTC loan/donation a while ago?

I don't see why not =)

I may just be blind, but where are the servers hosted?

Also-- Do you plan on adding more operating systems any time? I'm interested in a windows VPS and VPS with debian 6 on it.

Oregon, USA

And then one of his most recent posts is completely inconsistent with him being anywhere near the US, plus his posts used to be in good English and have morphed into typical bounty shitposts:

I always wanted to buy a laptop and smartphone using my bitcoins but unfortunately there are no shops in my country that accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment as very few people are aware about it and govt has a strict regulations on using bitcoins so even people have bitcoins in their wallet they are afraid of using it and I don't think that Government in my country will ever come in support of bitcoins.

In addition, there is an enormous post gap between 2013-2017, and his posts in 2017 immediately started becoming almost of uniform character length, just like you see with low-quality signature shitposters, and in addition those posts babbled on about obvious things that sound like a 14 year old's observations of the world.

So I'm going to tag him for the account being hacked/sold at least.

Possibly an alt of this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=968620
Already red-trusted, sent merits to MrGaSp's scam thread. Another red flag in its own right if anyone's counting.
Negged that guy too, for the link EcuaMobi referenced and mentioned the possible merit abuse and/or link to MrGaSp.

Love starting a new year with some fresh paint.
